At first it was just vanilla, but nowadays it also only takes a few days to get tired of modpacks and servers with my friends. I guess it is time to accept that I have gotten everything out of this game that I can over the past decade.
Mojangsoft will continue to do nothing interesting with the game, they're more obsessed with trying to centralize all versions to Bedrock so they can make that sweet sweet Minecoin dosh.
Its not. The performance worsened a lot since 1.17, so despite me having an ok PC (all MC till 1.17 works flawlessly, with good performance), 1.20 works like shit (and things are going worse with Forge+OptiFine, because Temp folder is getting raped with thousands of files written every second).
Optifine has been shit for years. Switch to fabric + sodium/lithium/the other one. You have to get other mods for the optifine missing features. Lamb dynamic lights for the lit torches is one.
Okzoomer for zoom but I don't use it because it makes the spyglass do something. They're pretty fun.

Minecraft feels so sterile and boring since they changed all the overworld generation. The only half interesting area left is the nether.
Nether was cooler before they added trees and made it basically the overworld

Pretty good. Server updated and made a bunch of chunks for 1.20. The change in worldseed made these new chunks... weird.
