All the mods went draconian as frick. you would get banned for even the slightest of insults. I even think some of them would ban you if you didnt shaman "correctly" and enough people reported you.
I remember becoming a mod on transformice when I was only 11 because i befriended some mod who likes Megaman osts. I didn't i had that much power back then, other than queueing music in the background.
Played it for a year in its prime. Game died with skill trees. Trolling on guest accounts was part of the fun because you'd need skill to outlast the shaman. Now they can instakill you.

I hated how AoS went from trench warfare on random maps. To either minimum height no digging. Or the stupid rainbow canyon with all tunnels.
Trenches crossing the map and hollowed out hills as bunkers was the shit.

They made a seperate shaman besides normal/hard/divine that's 'no skills' and a surprising amount of people pick it. I think pros got bored of cheesing the game so they made it harder and more interesting. Heh cheesing. I like to make a classic airship when it's applicable since I never see them anymore

Yeah skill trees have the game in a strange place now. Like half the maps can be easily broken with springs now instead of actually having to build
i checked like a few months ago and it still had a 24 hour peak of over 1,000 players, that's way more than I'd expect from an ancient flash game

Skill trees ruined the comfyness of shaman. Adding strawberries meant they would never fix the stupidly slow cheese gain.
