Try buying again, maybe that'll do it. And hey, if it doesn't, it's still a great game!

Buy Starfield on PC and xbox. You don't wanna miss out on this. What, you want to stay behind, while others go exploring space? Are you crazy? Buy Starfield. Donit for yourself. You deserve it.

Oh my god, you're actually moronic. Bullet drop is the simplest fricking shit to implement. You angle the raycast slightly downward. For more powerful rounds, you make the angle shallower.
          >b-but it shouldn't be straight, it should be a sloping curve
          It's a raycast, it's instanteous. The different doesn't matter.

But all of this is null anyway, because Bethesda has been simulating projectile physics since Oblivion.

Stealth is fun but also boring. I find it more fun to tackle problems head on, like if bandits attack or threaten you, then you just tell them to FRICK OFF and kick their ass. It's more fun to play a direct/aggressive character sometimes VS one that just skulks in the shadows.

Gamebryo/creation engine is one of the best things about bethesda games. why do you think moron ass homies like CDPR still have NO mod support or mod toolsets? CP2077 would be a game with a huge following like skyrim if it did. But they dont have mod tools like Creation Engine does. Same with Unreal, and all these other engines. You homies know jack shit about development or game engines.

All you can do on the surface of the planet is walk. There is no flying, no cars, no nothing. Just walk around a bit and then get in the ship and you get a loading screen to space you don't even get to fly up to space.

Weak ass fricking copes. If they wanted to make a grand space opera RPG ok I'm on board with that. So then what's the fricking point of 1000 shitty random generated planets with no content beyond shitty random generated fetch quests?

Ok I can get on board with no seamless flying, and less impressive tech if it means a great and deep RPG experience. A Mass Effect for the current year one might say. But then why not focus on that and instead push this meaningless 1000 planet busywork shit? Why all the focus on the survival and crafting shit?

Can't have it both ways. Either it's a deep and narrow in scope RPG or it's a shitty hollow open world.

Fallout 4 has more lines of dialogue than tw3

Starfield will have around 250k lines of dialogue which is the most any open world game unless you count rdr2, which has a voiced protagonist and counts the same line of dialogue more than once if it's a shout or not.

Bethesda games aren't for you simple as
Have played most Bethesda games and Starfield looks good and has everything I want from their RPG. I'm happy they aren't doing a mass effect because mass effect has zero interactivity and immersion.
The great thing about these games is that you can ignore the crafting and building and focus on questing. The choice is yours, don't complain about optional content.

This is not star wars, its an astronaut rpg.
          >So then what's the fricking point of 1000 shitty random generated planets with no content beyond shitty random generated fetch quests?
Procedural generation has been a staple of roleplaying games since the tabletop days.
          >A Mass Effect for the current year one might say
Ass Effect was a narrative driven game, not an all encompassing grand RPG.
          >But then why not focus on that and instead push this meaningless 1000 planet busywork shit?
You don't even have to visit 995 of them. It's there for those who want to roleplay as a space explorer traversing into uncharted territories, or those who want to minmax their resource extraction business.
          >Why all the focus on the survival and crafting shit?
You literally won't have to do most of them if you choose. It has 4 times as much dialogue as New Vegas. It's an all encompassing experience where the players themselves choose which aspect of the gameplay they want to focus on.

wow thats a little disappointing. I thought you'd have the ability to atleast fly your ship around a planet, or drive terrain vehicles to explore. What kind of space game doesn't have these simple features lol.

          Anonymous

There's no space game out there that does those features and also does everything Starfield can do. Developer time and money isn't infinite, something has to be sacrificed. Better to not have vehicles than not have the basic staples of a Bethesda game.

          Anonymous

Yeah, but both of those games made sacrifices to make this work, Elite dangerous did the seamless landing first, and only later they added on-foot gameplay, and you can see how rough it is, weird glitches, unfun gunplay, FPS dropping constantly, dumb A.I. And despite everyone asking for it, the devs refuse to add ship interiors.

Star citizen has been in production since 2011, and they still have not managed to get npcs to work properly, and the game is missing 70% of the promised content.

Meanwhile Starfield started it's development in 2016 and is going to release this year as a finished game with average to decent gunplay(still better than Elite), ship interiors and ship customization, with rpg elements and quests. Does this mean Starfield is the better game? Not, Bethesda just made the choice of sacrificing seamless landing and atmospheric flight to focus in other stuff, like ship customization, ship boarding, better rpg elements.

Developers don't have infinite money, sometimes you need to pick your battles and try to do something really well instead of trying to outdo everyone in the market.

            Anonymous

tried playing star citizen after gays brought it up in another thread after probably at least 6-7 years(?) of not touching it.
I'll give them this: They definitely have a good sense of scale when it comes to huge player ships. I don't think Todd's game is going to have anything remotely to the degree that Star Citizen can convey with their ships. Unless gays unironically do import models into starfield, then top kek. But even then, Don't think it would fit well into Starfield, maybe a few single fighter jets at best
Outside of that, rather have a game with load screens and stability.
ffs, Not even Todd's fricking game crashed my whole goddamn computer. What fricking requirements does this goddamn need nowadays?
And maybe because I don't have some capital/fancy ships, but this whole obsession with the 'planet to space' transition is really overblown.
its 'neat' but i can easily live without it for now. Especially with these procedural worlds where its sometimes difficult to tell if its still loading up or just the textures are like that b/c its a literal rock planet.
Starfield is probably just going to be 'Star Citizen-lite' for some gays and that's fine because to me, Star Citizen really is a simulator and a commitment while starfield is most likely going to be like a popcorn flick that most people could get into, especially those who like previous BGS games.

I think he meant fuel that's relevant to your space flight. Currently I believe fuel only defines the distance the game will allow you to plot a course, rather than being a dynamic resource to be managed mid journey.

I don't really see why people are whining about this though. The only thing running out of fuel would do is cause you to reload at the last dock and buy more fuel before repeating the same journey you just did.

Skyrim was already unplayable because of the immersion destroying loading screens. Fallout 4 has the same garbage that the moment actually something changes, you get the loading screen experience. And with LoadingScreenField you have the same garbage.

It's the only plausible explanation for someone who has been making single player RPGs for 20 years to shit out a multiplayer cashgrab with battle royale mode, just to then return to making single players RPGs immediately after.
Remember the starfield and TES teaser came immediately after the F76 presentation as a sort of apology to the audience for shitting out such an abomination

F76 was because of a Zenimax Media mandate, I suspect, for live service games.
                My evidence is:
                •Wolfenstein Youngblood
                •The Elder Scrolls Online
                •Deathloop
                •Redfall
                •F76 itself.

They wanted to make themself as valuable-looking as possible to bump up the amount MS would have to pay to acquire the whole corporation.

I would argue that making crappy live service games devalues the brand, instead, but the general public was going nuts for that stuff; and as we know, it only takes a few whales to make the endeavour worthwhile.

True development started after Fallout 4 but before that it was years of jotting down ideas and wanting to make the game but not having the time or tech to commit. The idea first started with a 1994 Bethesda project called The 10th Planet that was planned for a 1997 release. For one reason or another it never happened, but the idea never stopped being thought about for those who have been with the studio all this time.
