I like arch tempered and ruiner nergigante but I gotta say that most end game monsters in sunbreak mog the shit out of him, malzeno is easily in my top 3 best monsters of all time while nerg is top 10 at best
Nergi is fun, but goddamn is he a total pushover. Why the hell does he spend so much time toppled? Why is there a special drooling animation for him while enraged?
I want a mix of World and Rise. World graphics, map design and amazing fights, with Rise's vastly more interesting monster roster and customizable weapon kits (no hunter arts but you can swap your moveset around).
Wirebug for exploration would be great too, and you wouldn't be able to use it while in combat.
>Wirebug for exploration would be great too, and you wouldn't be able to use it while in combat.
World had that, it's called Wedge Bettles. But I have no idea why there are so few of them, definitely should've been more
>Nergi is fun, but goddamn is he a total pushover
It's adequately difficult the first time you meet him, with the random gear you were able to craft at that point of the campaign. His gimmick goes to shit once you deal enough DPS to consistently break his spikes; at that point he becomes a permastunned giant weakspot and dies in three minutes.
I don't know what they could do to "fix" him, other than making a properly-scaled variant designed for endgame. The gimmick is inherently broken.
>Why the hell does he spend so much time toppled?
Cause he falls every time his spikes break
Could've been done like the change they made to Seregios' glass ankles where he doesn't start tripping until the 2nd break
>the biggest jobber that ever jobbed >only seems "strong" in cinematics >need a super event buff to become threatening
Very much like Odo he was a weak b***h that tripped at the faintest breeze his shitty spikes.
At the best he was a mediocre flagship.
Flagships are always easy until they get a super buffed event. AT Nerg filtered so many shitters they didn't even bring him back for iceborne, that counts for something.
Not really. Nergi was just a lame idea for an ED. >"he's just uhh.. he's really strong! he has quills!
They could've played at his "eats other EDs" nature and made him sort of like a vulture with weakening quills, and really intelligent. Almost like the ED equivalent of a hunter, uses his version of tools and just outsmarts whatever he's fighting to whittle it down in the most unfair way possible (except for the player, because fight design).
At least it wasn't some stupid flashy bullshit like Valstrax or Alatreon though. I'll take a pure physical, grounded (relatively) design like Nergi over that dumb shit.
IT'S GONNA BE A HUNTING GAME AGAIN!
NO MORE ANIME FLASHY FLY IN THE AIR COMBAT
NO MORE TRANNIES
FORAGING AND CRAFTING IN-HUNT WILL BE RELEVANT AGAIN
MONSTERS WILL FRICKING KILL YOU
COMBAT WILL BE SLOW
The real problem with the bing birds was that they fricking spoiled everyone on them by giving some hunts the rainbow spiribirds making not having them and needing to gather them normally feel like absolute shit. They should have let you do a task to put a rainbow spiribird in every normal map like you do with secondary camps.
NTA. I'm pretty sure it will be a lot like World, but definitely not in the name. They're rolling with different sub-title every release now. Or they could go back to numbered titles. But they most definitely will never make a direct sequel to a previous title, FFX-2-style.
It's not even about mechanics or "spiritual successor" shit, from a branding and marketing perspective it'd be stupid to not name it World 2 instead of 6.
>especially frontiershit
I dunno, the few that have been brought to mainline have been tasteful. Espinas is fun, and I even like lavasioth (at least before World turned it into discount agnaktor).
Lavasioth is always fun! It does feel a bit like a Fromsoft boss in that it can, at any time, punish you for being near it with a OHKO bodyslam, but it's not like you HAVE to be that close to it.
Even the two you fight at once in Frontier were fun, despite being the hardest dual boss I've ever dealt with. Suck it Ornstein & Smough.
for me even reptiles are fine as long as they aren't fricking dragons or raptors again. frick they actually didn't tap at all herbivore dinosaurs, or any mad dangerous herbivores at that. something like a triceratops that acts like a more refined, actually threatening bullfango, or a parasaurolophus that uses sonic blasts to stun you have all rights to be in monster hunter and would actually make more sense than the frickmeat that are herbivores in the games so far
i can count just 6 from the top of my head >diablos >monoblos >barroth >banbaro >duramboros >congalala
and bullfango barely counts cause he's piss easy
compared to literally everything else that's carnivorous or even worse
and even then i was mostly talking about designs
Barroth is an insectivore
Congalala is an omnivore

i didn't remember that correctly
also conga's main gimmick are fungus so i thought it was a herbivore, doesn't have to be like the real life species ofc
Kill wirebugs, behead wirebugs, roundhouse kick a wirebug into the concrete, slam dunk a wirebug egg into the trash can, crucify filthy wirebugs, defecate into a wirebugs mouth, kick a pregnant wirebug with steel toe boots, drop wirebugs into an active volcano, report wirebugs to the IRS, mandatory abortions for wirebugs, slice wirebugs with a katana
>doesn't appreciate Bazel's evolution
In World, Bazel considers himself King Shit of the New World, which is why he invades every goddamn region to HUUUUURGH you.
By Iceborne, you've kicked his shit in so much that now he's literally and unironically Seething that he's not actually King of Shit Mountain, and goes nuclear.
He's great.
>straightforward blademaster weapon that doesn't transform into shit
Do the tonfas count as this? I'd like to try them out in a mainline game (with a more grounded moveset, of course).
Endemic life didn't actually feel like endemic life in rise, fricking bingbirds flying in the middle of nowhere and pissing magic stat boosting juices as you doesn't really feel like a viable ecological niche. World's endemic life didn't do much but at least it looked cool
I just think it's a far more fun way to traverse the maps than just popping a mount that auto tracks your prey, or slowly walking in corridors until you arrive at your destination.
Wirebugging your way through the map to your target, even with a lot of verticality, was really satisfying and fun.
It felt so much more natural in World though, with those grapple points in various places like on the way to the Coral Highlands peak, or random updrafts to propel you upward, or whatever else. Wirebugs feel too, I dunno, arcade-y?
I can understand that, but I think there's an inbetween that could really be satisfying.
It works in Rise because the maps are really barren, but in a hypothetical World 2 with very fleshed out and busy maps, maybe the wirebug would make exploration too easy and the maps feel smaller. I just want something that makes the hunting more personal that isn't "just walk in this corridor" but also not "just fly to your prey in a straight line" if that makes sense.
If you only have 150 HP enjoy being one shot by high level investigation monsters let alone some of the dumb homosexuals like Risen shaggy

nah they were pretty atrocious, tunnels connecting some zones that at times were still too small to properly fight in without the enemies clipping through the walls
Dude World are so shit that they actually are detrimental to monsters and prevent them to properly move around the map.
Whether you like or not MH need those large open and "empty" area to work well.
no? World works excelently, if you struggle then you're genuinely just low IQ and can only work with 2 dimensional: width and length, and the 3rd dimension of height breaks your tiny little ameritroony brain

Anyways here's me fricking up fatty.

No he's not. Legiana characteristically has a hybrid approach to combat where it constantly switches between aerial and grounded combat. Furthermore his design is nothing like Rathalos. Rathalos looks more akin to a classic, bulky dragon/wyvern whereas Legiana is lithe and has retractable "fins" all over its body. Legiana doesn't even have a breath attack.

No. Rathalos remains in the air until you force him out of it. Then he'll remain on the ground for a little while before going back into the air until you knock him out of it or he gets tired.
Legiana has constant attacks that switch between air and ground. Rathalos doesn't. Rathalos remains in the air until you force him out/he gets exhausted.
I would say "play the game homosexuals" but it's obvious you never will, or in the rare event that you will, you will probably hop into 4 man multiplayer and never actually figure out the intrinsic differences between monsters. Even subspecies have wildly different behavior nowadays that you probably call "a recolor" because your only experience has been braindamaged button mashing in 4 man multiplayer.

Having a raw and elemental moveset for each weapon would be cool. In previous MH games most weapons favour one or the other, meaning that crafting most weapons becomes a bad idea; and that is not cool.
I also think there should be weapons that are more effective against certain monsters. The main reason being that it would be nice to have every weapon be BiS for a single fight. So a simple Kulu weapon might get ~30% more damage against Rathians. While most hunters are not going to bother farming a specific weapon for every single fight, I like the idea of that being an option for when you struggle against a specific monster, and then it would also give speedrunner types more of a reason to grind every weapon.
>I also think there should be weapons that are more effective against certain monsters
Rise already turned the gameplay into repeat your designated dps combo forever, making every monster a gear check as well would make things even worse, absolutely not.
Been 3 months since my last hunt. I'm starting to get hunting withdrawals. Like just earlier today I was thinking "god I wish I was hunting something". Specifically Brachydios with an Insect Glaive in 4U.
I pirated Wild Hearts to fill the void, and while it seems kinda crap, there's a hammer and there's a monster and that's good enough for me. I hope the Staff is like the Glaive.
the pokemon go esque mobile game. they basically ported all the models and textures and movesets from world so its holding me down until the announcement
Always interesting how people act like Dragons and Reptiles aren't consistently the most popular designs in these games.
There's a reason why there's so much less of everything else, and it isn't skeletons.
Can anyone explain to me the hate for Rise? I’m new to the series and I’m playing it for the first time. It feels pretty fun. What are the differences to previous games that make it such a heated topic?
Game went from slower methodical combat with commitment to attack animations, to spamming animation cancelling cooldown-based super-moves which do much more damage than the weapons' core moveset.
Thankfully, it was extremely rare that all of those negatives were true at once, like with base MHR Lance and Spiral Thrust. I think CB's struggles in 5th gen are tragic, Hammer has too much of its damage shunted into Impact Crater, and DBs are extremely easy, but besides those weapons, the arts and big flashy moves might as well not have a cooldown when used properly, require some finesse to use effectively, and don't supersede the weapon's moveset.
Many of them are just moves that have a short bug cooldown associated with them to stop you from spamming wirefall which is a whole different caliber of braindead so thank goodness for that
>What are the differences to previous games that make it such a heated topic?
It was on the Switch exclusively for a while.
Similarly, the reason why World was so hated was because it isn't on any Nintendo consoles.
Don't let anyone tell you different, these are the reasons.
Shitposters spamming "NEVER EVER" and anal vore for years had to do everything in their power to degrade Rise into a non-game status to keep their narrative up.
It's not okay when Nintendo does it, that's all
A lot of people I talked to that dislike Rise have said they've never even played it, even after it came to Steam and went on sale multiple times but they know wire bugs make the entire game trivial and there 0 challenge and all the other dumb stuff you hear.
imagine you like euro truck simulator
now imagine they release euro truck simulator 2, but with nitro boosts, a button to fly around the map for "exploration", all the free stuff you got in 1 is sold in 2 and the controls dumbed down to 1 or 2 buttons
Ended up buying Rise/Sunbreak again on PS5 and it's fun going through the low rank again. Will probably grind back up to MR end game again to keep me occupied until MH6 comes out.
No, think about it. If he was rooted to the ground he'd obviously be a plant monster. He doesn't move around, he slaps you with his vines, he spawns bugs that chase you down, and he sucks you in for pollination. Not to mention his wood-based wepaons. I can see it.
Actually hoping they find a good balance between Iceborne's clutch-claw-to-wall spam and slow combat and Sunbreaks wirebug movement tech with optional movement swap ins.
I liked using wirebugs to travel, running up walls and having a Palico to grt to the monstet faster. It does however make the map feel smaller and wirebugs make evades easier. I liked having swap in moves thst were fun to use. Relying on slopes amd ledges for vertical shit is annoying when playing solo.
Sunbreak was also far better with it's supporting cast.
Afaik different teams worked on both, but I think each of them had merits that Capcom could refine.
both mhw and mhr would be insufferable without them being easy to cheat/mod. god damn do i HATE live service content dripfeed expecting you to do 30 hours of gambling between updates so you can be in good shape for the next update where you do 30 hours more. There's great games underneath that ugly skin and I'm only expecting it to get worse
>30 hours of gambling
30 hours of hunting monsters*
Monster Hunter is clearly not for you and you're better off playing something more easily digestible that plays itself, such as Overwatch or Genshin Impact
no, you disingenuous butthole, it’s not 30 minutes of monsters when anomalies and especially anomaly augmenting is the worst endgame gimmick the series has ever seen even compared to wystones and apex shitzones, or when you’re stuck fighting specific power brackets of monsters because decorations or augments only drop at that bracket, not to mention hot garbage like Kulve/Safi reward systems.
Ironic you’d bring up gachashit when that’s exactly what the endgame progression has tried more and more aggressively to bottleneck players into. I’ve always hated charms but at least they weren’t so critical as they are recently where it takes until the end of the game’s lifespan for them to clean up their rates since they want autists playing the same 3 monsters for 100 hours between level cap increases.
Thankfully you can disengage from all of this in MHR by being sufficiently stubborn and playing only the uninflated ‘normal’ versions of the quests, but in MHW you’re fricked if you try and do late content update monsters without at least amassing some decorations and the previous update’s gear. The big boy risen elders in MHR also get some new attack properties at lvl250+ that I’m sad to see locked behind anomaly grind since a large amount of players will never see it
>30 minutes
not even 30 minutes*
tl;dr imagine grinding through the worst content in the game almost as long as it takes to see all the other content just to be able to interface with the actual final challenges, what a tortured design
play a different game you just play this one out of sunk cost
9 months ago
Anonymous
I enjoyed both games up until the aforementioned bottlenecking and continued to despite the respective 5th gen grinds being dogshit because I liked what was under the hood. It’s not like I don’t have a grip on myself anon, but you’re right to be suspicious with how many other people I see get suckered into it and optimize the fun out of their play
It's over, MH will become the next pokemon, including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC, handholding cutscenes, removing any form of hard content...
But normies will love it, and they will sell billions because of cool graphics and assasins creed crossovers.
>It's over, MH will become the next pokemon, including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC, handholding cutscenes, removing any form of hard content...
>including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC,
MH has genuinely been doing that before pokemon. Frick off, newbie.
I hope they have finished weapon designs this time. No MMO raid garbage or rotating even quests either.
In fact they should take World, and not do that again since I dont want to sit through another bad story that also fricks up the multiplayer aspect of the game nor do I want the return of a Lao/Zorah monster we are forced to repel in addition to what was mentioned above.
>sizeable ammount of gays want shit claw and shit-picking slinger back >sizeable ammount of gays unironically want the games to look better but play worse >sizeable ammount of gays want dumbass filler content like critters that are completely uninspired and add nothing and do fricking nothing except be collectable.
At least point 3 I'd be fine with, just not in a higher priority over having actual weapon designs and combat that doesn't rely exclusively on gimmicks that are literally the same for every weapon.
Fivers infected the fanbase and we're never going to recover, I take solace in the fact that they're as pissed that rise is actual gameplay-based and not cinematic snoy shit as I am over cinematic snoy shit spoiling the experience that should have been world.
MH6 will be good because if anything can be gathered from the experiment that is rise and sunbreak is that : >they know how much they fricked up with the clutch claw >they know the importance of making random shit in the maps optional and accessible rather than have you go out of your way to pick it up (I still lmao at people who NEED to pick up every single fricking bird not to die lol meanwhile shit rock important for le ebin wallbang) >they know gameplay will sell anyways since people still bought rise and sunbreak way beyond their expectations despite being a secondary portable title >most of the shit I disliked about world simply isn't in Rise
I will never understand people that say rise is any different from world
literally the same game, instead of claw you get monster riding which is equally abusable, and wirebugs which are quite frankly a moronic gimmick that turns the combat into cooldown based counter slop for every weapon, the exact thing you're complaining about.
>cooldown counterslop
If you’re shit at the game, maybe. Most of the big abilities have a short enough recharge if you aren’t abusing Wirefall that with appropriate armor skills they’re just like any other move, and many of the later monsters are specifically designed to introduce you to the pavement if you’re crutching on them too much. Only GS and LS are counterspam when played optimally.
Base iframes are the shortest they’ve ever been as well, so the various defensive moves are replacements. Rolling is almost purely for positioning. Scroll swap evades have beefy base iframes, but you have to set them up well in advance.
do you get your info from montages and TAs? They’re high reward moves but they waste a ton of time to fish for if the monster decides to do something that you can’t actually get anything out of. GS strongarm is hilariously overtuned and basegame LS absolutely was just iai spam but at least it’s weakened iai spam to charge up for an actually strong attack now. Every other weapon, even Lance, has strong use case selection for and against going for counters and aren’t dominated by their inclusion at all. Especially Hammer.
Anonymous
Not that guy, but my problem with the counters isn't meta DPS, but it's how much safer they make casual play, and how game design has to ramp up to account for players having access to them. Even with a handful of moves designed specifically to punish counters, the majority still don't. I can play like a complete moron and escape unscathed.
I could just not bring the counter skills, but when monsters are throwing out huge or lightning-quick attacks balanced around people having strong defensive options, I feel like an even bigger moron for being stubborn and not bringing them.
Anonymous
base iframes are completely gutted in MHR and you’re not rolling through anything that lasts longer than narga spins/roars (like 5f total @60fps). Evade Extender is also mega buffed in MHR and you can roll twice as far at lv3. It feels like the idea was for players to use weapon-specific defensive actions in lieu of rolls which are almost purely for positioning without heavy investment. For example, SA’s Switch Charger art has about as much iframes as a roll would normally have in the older titles.
I do think the game’s really easy until monsters go berserk in the TUs but some strike a very nice balance like Violet Tama and unironically Kushala, what a glow up he got
9 months ago
Anonymous
>Even with a handful of moves designed specifically to punish counters
every attack that's part of a longer sequence counters them
you seem dogshit and coping with your own bad gameplay by claiming counters are "mandatory", even the hardest monsters in the game can be beaten without counters
9 months ago
Anonymous
now now anon, there’s no need to be so brash. Opinions like these ultimately end up highly influenced by weapon choice. Before making snap judgements that someone must be terrible at the game, it’s good to consider that first. Even though all weapons are more than viable in MHR, some have to work their ass off to do what others would casually, like trying to use Hammer against P.Malzeno instead of something like DB that can literally strafe him to death

Rolls don't save you in a lot of emergency situations where you fricked up your positioning to begin with. Especially if you aren't using Evade skills. I-frames are very small. Even in situations where it's possible to i-frame the attack, you are not going to nail those windows every time, and it's safer to counter if it's available.

There are so many mechanics a casual player can abuse, at a cost of a slightly slower hunt. You can do stuff like this https://youtu.be/ensS-1QHino?feature=shared and completely break the game. (Depending on how much you suck at the game, the hunt is FASTER if you do this).
Of course in this video they abuse riding to the max, the average player wouldn't be able to achieve this. But getting 2-3 free rides isn't hard at all, you can basically bring the monster to half HP for free. Also, monster parts are half broken at that point, so you get free staggers and topples once you start hitting it with your weapon.
On the other hand, if you're speedrunning the hunt is a constant parry skillcheck.

>but it's how much safer they make casual play
yeah just like how wirefall means casuals don't faint
in reality every new option just means casuals kill themselves more often doing shit they can't get away with
shitters will try to counter combo attacks on the first hit, wirefall through multihit attacks, and get up immediately as tigrex is walking over them
aint shit changed but the rose tint on your glasses

Not really, you couldn't do this in FU and by 4 when they introduced it, it was one of the first things I noticed since not being able to delay it in previous games was the main thing that allowed tigrex to frick you up.

TRVE Monster Hunter doesn't have that
Do you really expect Worldgays to know anything about SPEED?
Lmao World/IB had some of the slowest monsters, even G rank, the only thing that wasn't slow were the hunters.
>sizeable ammount of gays want shit claw and shit-picking slinger back >sizeable ammount of gays unironically want the games to look better but play worse >sizeable ammount of gays want dumbass filler content like critters that are completely uninspired and add nothing and do fricking nothing except be collectable.
Do you really expect Worldgays to know anything about SPEED?
Lmao World/IB had some of the slowest monsters, even G rank, the only thing that wasn't slow were the hunters.
Monster Hunter, at its core, is a slow and methodological game.
I dumped hundreds of hours into every game since 3U and until World/Rise the only monsters that moved at the turbo autist levels of speed people like to defend so much were Apexes, Hypers or Deviants, aside from some anomalies like 4U's Rathalos and Brachydios that had one attack that allowed them to rubber band across the area at the speed of light, specially egregious in 4U/GU Rathalos which was considered one of it's most annoying iterations in the entire series.
Hell, most monsters had the whole "Stop in place, slowly turn towards hunter, charge, repeat"
My only regret is that they started adding $700 of DLC to the games, starting with World. So you have to buy cosmetics/emotes instead of earning them by playing.
I know they still give you some for completing requests and event quests but it still feels shit
>REAL MONSTER HUNTER = Learning a monsters moveset and figuring out how to overcome said monster using your slower movement speed and limited moveset.
clunky and anky ass combat >soulless fake monster hunter = just counter everything with any weapon and wirebugbravecheatbushido away to safety lol so fun!!!
oh you can actually fight without running away for half of the encounter, yep this is fun
>REAL MONSTER HUNTER = Learning a monsters moveset and figuring out how to overcome said monster using your slower movement speed and limited moveset.
is MH NOW real monster hunter then?
Because TGS is one of the world's biggest vidya shows in the world, let alone Japan, and Capcom has a long history of announcing new games there, you shit for brains.
Just because Keighley ritualistically sucks on Kojima's and Miyazaki's wieners doesn't mean that every game is going to be announced in his show
Do people not remember that DD2 also was not announced before the TGS stream? There is no reason to spoil the surprise. Also this "only 600k sales in March" copium could also just mean that they release a game on the last day of the month. Maybe they just want to downplay it and look at past MH sales numbers in JP for the first weekend which would indeed be around 600k or so.
Now is the ultimate return to classic MH experience
>monsters do not get powercreeped into irrelevancy, every single monster stays challenging >it's very grindy, like monhun should be >it's very punishing but not particularly hard (if you get hit too much you're gonna have to pay up for potions, shitter) >you actually have to physically "track" your targets down >setbuilding for specific monsters is a thing again >all weapon types are viable >every monster that gets added will make all existing monsters slightly rarer which will only add to the experience of tracking the monster down >game is heavily positionbased and it doesn't suffer from "just attack the head" syndrome, some monsters you just do not want to be near the head >you're actually, genuinely hunting down the monster >weapons have depth (i think this one is just impressive considering it's a fricking phone game) >they plan on adding every single monster
As in elemental, raw, and status weapons all are highly viable and it's up to you to choose what you want to use.
The game will have every weapon in the franchise too, of course, alongside every monster.
>hey remember how annoying it was to have to climb up to the very top of arctic ridge for literally all but 2 monsters you fight there? >what if every map was like that all the time
I hope if Savage comes back they actually shroud his head in dragon energy instead of just black smoke, one of my actual gripes with World/Iceborne is that the effects of monster attacks weren't as cool as in the older games
World was a little longer between announcement and release but it's also the only time they've ever taken that long
MH marketing doesn't go on that long since it's typically been nearly a yearly series
>it's also the only time they've ever taken that long
COVID happened, all Capcom projects have been postponed one way or another. Resident Evil 4, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Street Fighter 6 were all supposed to launch last year, according to the leaks.
I just hope for a better multiplayer experience than Rise.
With multiple hunters all with their own overpowered defensive tools, it's way too easy to stick to monsters like glue at all times. In order to put up any kind of fight in that situation, monsters need hugely inflated HP. This leads to "hunts" that are just hitting a punching bag for 5-10 minutes and DPS rotations being more relevant than any kind of teamwork.
GU isn't my favorite game but I went back to play it a bit. Even with the fast paced hunter arts in that game too, the multiplayer experience is just night and day. More traps, more crowd control, more than a snowball's chance in hell of staggering a part when you're the only one hitting it.
2p/3p was always the best way to play MH. The hub scaling being around that ballpark definitely helps.
The other big limiter for the recent games is max potions are both plentiful and extremely safe to use, so monsters outside of the highest echelon of progression are totally powerless to cart you without stunning or comboing you. The old SBB+potion trick in previous games felt dirty but now it’s even more free
There is nothing worse than Monster Hunter """"oldgays"""" who are not satisfied with the game unless it's locked to a shitty old system, because god forbid anyone can play the game.
Mostly true, but I do agree with them that rise combat is a clear downgrade because every weapon has so many options that they're all functionally the same.
I don’t like how a lot of weapons’ damage seems tuned around a designated “do your dps now” combo, but outside of DB and bowguns flattening the game out into two moves, maybe three if you’re feeling creative, the general play of each weapon is decently differentiable. It’s something that needed more work than it ultimately got, but could be solved with some number tuning more than further radical changes to the movesets.
Except CB which is fricking molasses and all of its damage is shipwrecked and stuck on its least interactive moves, why the hell didn’t they bring back Energy Blade as a switch skill replacement for SAED
They can literally reuse all the dragons and birds from 1 since graphics haven't improved much and then add a ton of other shit.
Personally I think it's too soon after Sunbreak so I'll probably wait for the DLC version of 6.
They will probably bring back quick recovery in one capacity or other, it's already in a bunch of other capcom games and fits pretty naturally in monster hunter
Make tail cuts and part breaks more meaningful gameplay wise.
I want a hermit crab monster who starts out slow and defensive but when you break its shell it goes nuclear.
And it cant magically get its shell back like daimyo/shogun.
>I want a hermit crab monster who starts out slow and defensive but when you break its shell it goes nuclear.
They did that in Frontier
You break the rocks off and it goes sanic, then you crack the shell and it goes apeshit.
Speaking of Now, why is a major gameplay function like being able to lock on to specific parts exclusive to an armor skill? Given the nature of the controls that seems like something they'd bake directly into the design of the game, not limit to the fricking Kulu Helm.
There was such an easy solution to it, too. Instead of limiting it to an armor skill that you get at Rank 2 (serving as an Overgrade tutorial), just have the quest be to Overgrade some equipment to Rank 2, and give the Lock-On function as a reward. It reminds me of how in Sunbreak you don't get the Switch Skill Swap until you do the tutorial quest for it. And like the Swap, Now's Lock-On is optional even if you have the Helm on, so there's no reason to limit it to that specific armor piece. I just don't get the logic behind it.
its my favorite weapon throughout the series but world sns is probably my least favorite weapon in the entire fricking series. it just feels fricking terrible to use and i dont even mean damage wise, the only thing that feels good is perfect rush, go figure.
Because it's an asset flip of World and Pokemon Go. Making a new flagship would involve making new assets which they cannot do. All their unique assets are 2D art.
No matter how much I b***h and moan about Rise, I love this series so much. I still get ~300 hours of fun out of my least favorite entries. The newest MH is the one series I still have faith in.
I hope next MH adds all these little details that were missing from Rise. People say that they're non factors and it doesn't matter if they're gone which is true. I never missed them in my time playing Rise but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them when they're there. Also for the love of Jesus give us the soulful seasonal hub changes.
>Reinstall MHW >Load old character >Last assigned quest - Alatreon >Jump into the hunt >Immediately remember why I quit World back then
Kulve was a mistake
Safi was a mistake
Alatreon was a big fricking mistake
Forgot to mention that Kulve's chase section was absolute trash, almost on par with Lao Shan for me. But the actual fight was pretty good, I really liked AT Kulve.
The only bad fights where the siege fights in HR. Lechen/Behemoth/Kulve. They where just gimmicks. Nothing in Iceborne is that bad. Kulve is mostly fixed and Safi's meme isn't nearly as shit as Behemoth. Nothing to really complain about with Ala/Fatty.
Alatreon is unironically easier (and more fun) if you ignore the stupid element dps check shit and just brute force it, you will die once or twice, but it will save you a headache if your weapon type doesn't naturally vomit element.
Calm down here's the original Ganker one for Fatalis release if that makes you feel better, dogshit homosexual. You will never be good at monster hunter.
Im surprised how active World is, it made me come back to it just to frick around. So my hope is that they make world 2 but dont pussy out and make the bosses easier and just make them more in line with Iceborne difficulty. I like my multiplayer games active.
The initial release will inevitably only go up to High Rank so it's not gonna be as difficult no matter what, unless they gimp armor skills so you can't have as much stacked on your set anymore.
MH6 will be nautically themed. Not only is underwater hunting coming back 70% of the roster will at the very least be amphibious, if not solely fought underwater. Underwater movement will be as improved as vertical land movement was in Rise, and wallrunning and mounts will be returning (you get a seal partner that you can mount on land and in water). You have to sail the world following a string of tsunamis caused by what is believed to be a new leviathan species. My dad works at videogames screencrap this
I think Fatalis filtered more people because he's way harder but Alatreon definitely caused the most seethe from raw babies so is infinitely more based.
i beat alatreon but the element dps mechanic is pure shit because >it doesn't belong in MH >you still have to spam heals even if you clear it >after you break both horns unless you cart it's basically impossible to clear it because favorable element permanently changes >if you get bad RNG and can't mantain the DPS upkeep then you're better off quitting and restarting, truly the most awful of things that can happen in a MH game, it was better when it was because you forgot to bring hot drinks
No more bone/iron weapons with monster parts glued on for fricks sake. I shouldn't need to install a mod for something that has been a staple in every single game.
Can't wait for MH6 to bake silkbinds into weapon movesets only for Ganker to go into "oh it's totally not anime now!"
That 180 on Glavenus during his reveal in IB was amazing.
No fanfic needed. The general consensus here was that Glavenus and the rest of the Generations cast were "overdesigned anime frontiershit killing MH." Then Glav was announced for IB and the narrative switched to "OMG so cool" overnight.
Glavenus and Brachy need a redesign to be less anime
Lunagaron needs a redesign to look less like a plastic toy
Goss harag needs a redesign to look less like a fantasy creature
Garangholm and Paolumu need a redesign to not be so fricking ugly
seethe as much as you want, you know I'm right
I genuinely think that the next iteration of MH's online system is a sort of open hub area combined with the guiding lands. An open hub for people to hop in and out with a large'ish map around where monsters appear and everyone just does their own thing, group up, hunt solo, do whatever.
Frick SOS
Just bring back the bigger player limit on the gathering hub playing with more than 4 people in Sunbreak is annoying as frick swapping rooms to join quests
please please please have cross play PC PS5 etc etc etc please. I just wanna hunt with bros again without having to play with randos for a year before people are willing to play it
I just want the weapons to be more basic. GS critdraw viable without velkhana skill, SnS without all the crazy bullshit, gunners having to stay still to shoot, only one counter for the LS is ok, GL to be like base World is fine, Hammer to be about charge and bigbang only...
>LS never needed a counter
Nah you can eat all the shit for this. If there's any weapon that should be the counter spam weapon, it's LS. Iai counter slash is the most LS move in all of LS. LS had zero personality before Iai counter gave it SOVL
>If there's any weapon that should be the counter spam weapon
..it's a weapon with a shield. Lance already had Counter Thrust and Charge Blade is literally built on the concept of GP parries. >LS had zero personality
What are you even on about? LS has the best movement kit out of all weapons since its introduction since backwards evasion was only for Lance/Gunlance, and with the Lateral Fade Slash you already had close to Lance's uptime but while actually dealing damage. Special Sheathe and Iai Slash/Iai Spirit Slash are cool and all, but turning LS into the i-frame counter weapon is moronic.
Can we all agree Nergigante was a really fun fight and was one of the best additions that World brought?
Has someone said otherwise?
I Know someone who seethes about him and praises Rise lots more.
Go figure.
I like arch tempered and ruiner nergigante but I gotta say that most end game monsters in sunbreak mog the shit out of him, malzeno is easily in my top 3 best monsters of all time while nerg is top 10 at best
>and praises Rise
Cool, you know a moron. Thanks for sharing I guess.
Yes. I love to see an Elder Dragon addition that's not just another elemental wizard. ED being a brute with healing factor was refreshing.
Nergi is fun, but goddamn is he a total pushover. Why the hell does he spend so much time toppled? Why is there a special drooling animation for him while enraged?
I say his AT have the right idea.
He is much more resistant lo tople
>Why the hell does he spend so much time toppled?
Cause he falls every time his spikes break
Could've been done like the change they made to Seregios' glass ankles where he doesn't start tripping until the 2nd break
>World had that, it's called Wedge Bettles. But I have no idea why there are so few of them, definitely should've been more
And wirebugs make it ubiquitous. I fail to see the problem with wirebugs outside of a combat setting.
World was great. Literally the only people who didn't like it were plebs who only have a switch
t
He was very fun to smash and bash with all the spikes falling off him. Definitely up there as one of the most satisfying part breaks.
honestly it was ok to fight 2 or 3 times but it got boring really fast because he could be esily chained if you targeted the spikes correctly
>the biggest jobber that ever jobbed
>only seems "strong" in cinematics
>need a super event buff to become threatening
Seeing vets filtered by anjanath and nergy was a great time.
>Vets
Lol no. Also playing mh online is the same as summoning in souls, you can't change my mind
Fun, but too easy. He needs a buff.
I wouldn't know he just falls over
Behemoth and Xeno'jiiva were my favorites
He was great, but frick pepega slam
>spends 99% of the fight on the ground flailing
No.
Pretty sure everyone loves him
Yes
He's really fun to fight with lance
Maybe not the hardest fight, but it was satisfying.
>negergigante
IT'S GONNA BE A HUNTING GAME AGAIN!
NO MORE ANIME FLASHY FLY IN THE AIR COMBAT
NO MORE TRANNIES
FORAGING AND CRAFTING IN-HUNT WILL BE RELEVANT AGAIN
MONSTERS WILL FRICKING KILL YOU
COMBAT WILL BE SLOW
GET HYYYYPPED
>implying
im gonna be swinging of Black persongante's wiener like spiderman with my wirebugs and THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!
i can hope. i cant even bring myself to finish rise
Worldrage bait from a nogaems not worth (You)s
it's going to have the fastest combat in the series
light fast?
light fast must be a minimum
You have no idea how much I want this to be true.
Also bring back underwater combat too.
>FORAGING AND CRAFTING IN-HUNT WILL BE RELEVANT AGAIN
oh god I can't wait to waste 10 minutes on every hunt for no good reason
>waste 10 minutes on every hunt for no good reason
So like the birds?
The real problem with the bing birds was that they fricking spoiled everyone on them by giving some hunts the rainbow spiribirds making not having them and needing to gather them normally feel like absolute shit. They should have let you do a task to put a rainbow spiribird in every normal map like you do with secondary camps.
the birds should never have been a mechanic in the first place, instead they should've just given the rainbow bird buff from eating
But that's part of the hunt. Go play some moronic game for babies like Rise if you don't like it
Grow up.
Yeah I guess I could've shortened my entire post to those 2 words, you're right. Grow up
If I wanted my come back I'd get it from your mom's chin.
It never was outside of of 2 Dos and that game is okay and mostly overrated by insecure fans of the franchise.
Not a single person in existance hunted and mined/gathered honey at the same time. it's inefficient and clutters your inventory.
>existance
Without fail, every single time one of you Risetrannies come out to spew your dogshit opinions, it's ALWAYS an ESL thirdworlder.
World 2
I sure hope not, World was too piss easy.
for the most part i agree. the monsters were a lot tougher in iceborne though
i wish
I stg if they announce World 2 I'll buy an entire watermelon and eat it slowly throughout the day
Lets not get crazy now.
It literally won't be world 2. And it won't have anything to do with world. If it does and I'm proven wrong I'll post a pic in naked dogeza
I hope so.
I fricking wish
Post hopes.
See
Definitely want to see Seltas and more bugs in general. Putting "monster" in Monster Hunter.
spiders.
Hell yeah. I don't know if the scorpion is a good fight or not, but damn if it doesn't look cool.
Doesn't have to be returning monsters (especially frontiershit), could be a new scorpi.
>especially frontiershit
I dunno, the few that have been brought to mainline have been tasteful. Espinas is fun, and I even like lavasioth (at least before World turned it into discount agnaktor).
> the few that have been brought to mainline have been tasteful
>Espinas
>I even like lavasioth before World
I'd be crazy if I said I like lavasioth AFTER World.
GU lavasioth was actually pretty fun.
Suck it Ornstein & Smough.
literally any other type of animal than reptiles, because World has a bit of a problem with that.
for me even reptiles are fine as long as they aren't fricking dragons or raptors again. frick they actually didn't tap at all herbivore dinosaurs, or any mad dangerous herbivores at that. something like a triceratops that acts like a more refined, actually threatening bullfango, or a parasaurolophus that uses sonic blasts to stun you have all rights to be in monster hunter and would actually make more sense than the frickmeat that are herbivores in the games so far
>frick they actually didn't tap at all herbivore dinosaurs, or any mad dangerous herbivores at that.
Diablos is a herbivore
i can count just 6 from the top of my head
>diablos
>monoblos
>barroth
>banbaro
>duramboros
>congalala
and bullfango barely counts cause he's piss easy
compared to literally everything else that's carnivorous or even worse
and even then i was mostly talking about designs
ah yes banbaro the dinosaur
what does this look like to you
fricked up moose
Banbaro despite the elk horn actually have herbivore dinosaur head
Barroth is an insectivore
Congalala is an omnivore
i didn't remember that correctly
also conga's main gimmick are fungus so i thought it was a herbivore, doesn't have to be like the real life species ofc
Some of the monsters literally eat rocks, like Uragaan. Not like to put in a gizzard to grind up food. They literally live by eating rocks.
>shaped like a 2
World 2 confirmed, thank gog
You know, I wouldn't be opposed to this if they bring back wirebugs
Kill wirebugs, behead wirebugs, roundhouse kick a wirebug into the concrete, slam dunk a wirebug egg into the trash can, crucify filthy wirebugs, defecate into a wirebugs mouth, kick a pregnant wirebug with steel toe boots, drop wirebugs into an active volcano, report wirebugs to the IRS, mandatory abortions for wirebugs, slice wirebugs with a katana
I want them to stop using that metal/bone weapon with monster parts shit World was infested with
I want him back and in his World form before Iceborn when he was a menace
>doesn't appreciate Bazel's evolution
In World, Bazel considers himself King Shit of the New World, which is why he invades every goddamn region to HUUUUURGH you.
By Iceborne, you've kicked his shit in so much that now he's literally and unironically Seething that he's not actually King of Shit Mountain, and goes nuclear.
He's great.
Yeah but he stopped invading erasing his presence from the game
I want Nerg back.
If Khezu takes Giggi's spot one more time I'm going kyoani on Crapcom's ass.
I really really want to see the Seltas agai. Ahtal-Ka, the owl and Paolumu are cool too, couldn't care less about the rest
Orochi Kirin Tri's Gabgol + new weapon/next gen exclusive
No tenderizing and clutch claw like and MOTHERFRICKING GAMMOTH
>GAMMOTH
Why? It's only purpose is to remind the player that Aerial GS exists
No clutch shit
Tonfas
I just hope that whatever the new gimmick is, it works well with Switch Axe like Slinger and Claw did
Also Legiana
i hope that every weapon gets a final tier unlock like with sunbreak.
My never ever is Shantien and Taikun Zamuza and therefore I'm safe from ever being suckered by hype again.
Hunting monsters Monster Hunter !
I want Legiana, the Fated Four, and NO fricking gen 2 elders. Also 16 players lobbies+raids tbdesu
It really is a shame the Four haven't been reunited yet. Like goddamn, I want my mammoth back.
Man I really wish they add more or bring back more neopterons. Vespoid Queen when?
> hmm good choices with the latter two and Malfestio
> Dunno about Frontier
> jesus christ almighty
WHY DO YOU WANT THOSE SHIT FLINGING MONKEYS BACK
i'll be happy as long as there's literally nothing from frontier so i can dab on frontierBlack folk and their dead chink bootleg dogshit
paolumu has been in 3 different fricking games in the last 5 years, shut the frick up you autist
New gunner weapon and maybe a straightforward blademaster weapon that doesn't transform into shit
>a straightforward blademaster weapon that doesn't transform into shit
pile bunker
>straightforward blademaster weapon that doesn't transform into shit
Do the tonfas count as this? I'd like to try them out in a mainline game (with a more grounded moveset, of course).
tonfas transform, so no
Hopefully
why did they make it's stomach look like giant balls
?si=PYMw9IgMgiuvIGx1&t=54
Nerscylla, my beloved...
Hate the monsters, love the gear. Goddamn that GL fricks
I want more cool looking weapons and armors.
>NuMonsterHunter
>NuCrapslop
Still have to beat World first, hope it won't have any lame new mechanics
I want a mix of World and Rise. World graphics, map design and amazing fights, with Rise's vastly more interesting monster roster and customizable weapon kits (no hunter arts but you can swap your moveset around).
Wirebug for exploration would be great too, and you wouldn't be able to use it while in combat.
>exploration
What kind of exploration? It doesn't need exploration. Rise only forced that shit by the means of the moronic Spiribirds everyone hates.
Finding the relics and cryptids was fun too, well not the volcano cryptid, but the others were fun.
For me, the endemic life. It added more...life to the maps, and was a fun diversion when you were worn out from hunting.
Endemic life was pretty lifeless in Rise.
I just don't see why you need that in a MonHun game. Especially when you create hiding spots in places that are never reused anyway.
>Endemic life was pretty lifeless in Rise.
Yes, I meant in World.
Endemic life didn't actually feel like endemic life in rise, fricking bingbirds flying in the middle of nowhere and pissing magic stat boosting juices as you doesn't really feel like a viable ecological niche. World's endemic life didn't do much but at least it looked cool
>endemic life in World
>tons of little critters going about their own lifes with their own behaviors
>you can catch them and make them lets.
>Rise endemic life
>glorified stat boosts, juat hang out on the same spot doing nothing, don't react to anything
Those areas also have nodes for you to gather at, so I think it's fine. Games should have little secrets for you to find along the way.
I just want something that makes the hunting more personal that isn't "just walk in this corridor" but also not "just fly to your prey in a straight line" if that makes sense.
>arcade-y
Uh huh, sure
Well, whatever word you wanna use. I just think spawning floating bugs from nowhere that you swing from is stupid.
>nowhere
Kamura/Elgado hunters shoot them out from their cages. Not like it's any worse than living bugs that just let you hook shot them or magical updrafts.
World has more literally forced exploration, walking segments and shitty escorts and all of Rise
>spiribirds
>forced
the quickest way to out a shitter
sure thing anon, I bet you're so cool and hardcore that you never eat before hunts either
have a nice day
Why do you need more than 150 health? Isn't Rise the easiest game ever made??
If you only have 150 HP enjoy being one shot by high level investigation monsters let alone some of the dumb homosexuals like Risen shaggy
WTF you guys said Rise was babby easy
Anon, you need to stop arguing with the voices inside your head.
Oh, so this board hasn't been insisting that Rise is "too easy" for years now?
Not really.
"""This board""" was way more "anti World" than "anti Rise", too.
You literally aren't allowed to say anything negative about world or positive about rise, anon.
You fricking moronic Black person. """This boarD""" overhate Rise because its the newest game, you fricking stupid newhomosexual. You should have seen how """this board""" reacted when World was announced/came out.
moron.
I was here then you moron. You couldn't post anything resembling discussion with all the wojaks and anal vore flooding every single thread.
Then you're familiar with how Ganker fricking hates the newest MH and loves the previous ones. The same thing happened with Gen/XX when World came out.
I guarantee you that Rise will never get a "this was actually great" phase no matter how much time passes.
It will. Just wait, anon. The consensus' already that Sunbreak was good.
is this "consensus" in this room? feels like that's another way of saying "Ganker is one person"
What I'm trying to say is that I've seen way less complains about Rise after Sunbreak came out.
'guess we're both arguing about "Ganker is one person".
I'll believe it when I see it, and not a moment sooner.
World got shat on way more than Rise has ever been.
>World map design
World's maps were awful though
Maybe if you only have two working braincells left.
nah they were pretty atrocious, tunnels connecting some zones that at times were still too small to properly fight in without the enemies clipping through the walls
Dude World are so shit that they actually are detrimental to monsters and prevent them to properly move around the map.
Whether you like or not MH need those large open and "empty" area to work well.
no? World works excelently, if you struggle then you're genuinely just low IQ and can only work with 2 dimensional: width and length, and the 3rd dimension of height breaks your tiny little ameritroony brain
>detrimental to monsters and prevent them to properly move around the map.
I have literally never experienced this all the way through base game and icebourne.
Just fight Narga or Zin in the ancient forest or A.glav in the upper levels of the rotten vale, you will see.
This. Almost every MHW map feels like fighting Lagiacrus in Flooded Forest.
>DUDE I LOVE CLIMBING FOR THREE HOURS IN CORAL HIGHLANDS JUST FOR RATHALOS TO FRICK OFF
>BRB GOTTA SHIT ON 4U BECAUSE IT HAS TOO MANY CLIFFS AND IT'S THE ONLY THING I CAN RELIABLY SHIT ON ABOUT IT LOLOLOLOL
>WOAHOAHOAHOAH THIS AREA OF THE MAP HAS *SHOCKWAVES* BETTER SLOT IN LE DECO
frick off world's maps look pretty and that's literally the only positive they have
There's no Rathalos in the Coral Highlands. Thanks for confirming you have never played World before in your life, and are just another sour grape poorgay tendie thirdworlder who can't afford anything but a shitty children's tablet made by Nintendo
Rathalos (Legiana).
I forgot because legiana is another rathalos reskin like 50% of wyverns in the game and I'd rather jerk off with sandpaper over have to hunt another rathalos reskin in that map.
You're just a salty seething homosexual. Do you hate life or something?
>has a hybrid approach to combat where it constantly switches between aerial and grounded combat
Yeah just like cuckthalos, Cretin.
Imagine actually defending a basic flying SHITvern
Ah no, yeah. I get it.
You literally only have played world.
No mental reference of rathalos from any other game whatsoever, fricker can and will go back to the ground on his own constantly, he's just more annoying to deal with when he doesn't the older the game you're playing and in world he's just a b***h and stays in the air more.
Even then I still don't remember him being less annoying to deal with than legiana, the legiana subspecies is even more annoying than rathalos in that regard.
>more annoying to deal with
>he's just a b***h
>less annoying to deal with than legiana
>more annoying than rathalos
I’m convinced 99% of you Monster Hunter """""fans""""" don’t even like the game.
the common element is that MHW monster design is bad
>thinking 2 monsters are annoying means you hate the game
The legiana subspecies is a b***h who not only calls a fricking mate who RESPAWNS but he stays on the air much more than rathalos ever did.
Regular legiana is on the air almost as much as rathalos, but at least rathalos has better shitboxes.
Both of them are absolute flying vermin, the reason anyone who has played at least 1 more game than world rightfully considers them such because they're direct fossil remnants dating back to MH1, and by making 30 reskins of them you effectively shit on EVERYTHING that has improved about monster skeletons in literally every game since, at least rise makes him fun along with kush.
Basically play another monhun game.
Cuckthalos has been a b***h to fight since forever and Crapcom making more monsters directly after him isn't good at all but this has nothing to do with liking or not the series.
>Rathalos remains in the air until you force him out of it
>Rathalos remains in the air until you force him out/he gets exhausted
Nice contradiction reddit spacer, which one is it?
>No he's not. Legiana characteristically has a hybrid approach to combat where it constantly switches between aerial and grounded combat
>unlike rathalos who... also switches from ground to air combat with ground and air specific moves
Now are YOU trying to convince me you haven't played the game?
>Legiana doesn't even have a breath attack
>literally breathes cold air to attack end even the same animations
And there you're trying to call out someone who hasn't supposedly played the game?
How ironic!
Legiana summons gales of ice with his wings and tail, he doesn't breathe ice. have a nice day tendie.
What are the holes underside for?
And why are they covered in ice when get angry?
Buffoon.
at least try to speak proper english Rajesh
Ok, I'm in good mood today.
So tell me what is the use of the hole on its underside and why are they covered in ice when it gets angry?
If the air doesn't come from it, then why the wind pressure doesn't inflict ice blight?
That's really a lot of talk for a shitmonster we probably won't see anytime soon huh
English, Rajesh, do you speak it?
Oh come on, it was just some spelling mistakes and missing words, I thought you were up for some heated argument over something pointless?
What a disappointment!
>it was just some spelling mistakes and missing words
You poor oblivious thirdworlder.
At least prove me wrong, b***h
DO NOT REDEEM THE LEGIANA b***h BLOODY BASTARD DO NOT BLOODY REDEEM THE RATHALOS RESKIN SIR b***h BLOODY
Thanks for confirming you have never played World before in your life, and are just another sour grape poorgay tendie thirdworlder who can't afford anything but a shitty children's tablet made by Nintendo
World2 gonna be bussin'
Been 3 months since my last hunt. I'm starting to get hunting withdrawals. Like just earlier today I was thinking "god I wish I was hunting something". Specifically Brachydios with an Insect Glaive in 4U.
I pirated Wild Hearts to fill the void, and while it seems kinda crap, there's a hammer and there's a monster and that's good enough for me. I hope the Staff is like the Glaive.
>Wild Hearts
Ew.
Play NOW instead
NOW?
the pokemon go esque mobile game. they basically ported all the models and textures and movesets from world so its holding me down until the announcement
I tried it, but it was glitchy and broken and didn't work. It also demanded I go straight into a construction site to hunt my first monster.
Monster Fricker
I just want all the shitmons gone
I hope it's Stories 3 instead.
Always interesting how people act like Dragons and Reptiles aren't consistently the most popular designs in these games.
There's a reason why there's so much less of everything else, and it isn't skeletons.
>world 2
Is everyone in this board a world baby?
No, we have plenty of rise sperms posting here too.
They fall in the same bucket
can I have that bucket?
Does that surprise you?
what happens in 3 days
A Capcom event where they already listed the games present is happening.
Many of them are just moves that have a short bug cooldown associated with them to stop you from spamming wirefall which is a whole different caliber of braindead so thank goodness for that
This reads like a post made when Gen came out and then GenU was fun as frick
Gen was anime trash already and nobody expected GU to get even worse
Yeah World has been rough to MH gameplay, I hope they will remove those hunter arts from regular moveset in MH6
>What are the differences to previous games that make it such a heated topic?
It was on the Switch exclusively for a while.
Similarly, the reason why World was so hated was because it isn't on any Nintendo consoles.
Don't let anyone tell you different, these are the reasons.
It's Console war shitposters
World babies think they are different from rise gays because the mobile team made a game for a mobile audience.
Rise is more arcadey, game takes itself less seriously and demands less out of the player
imagine you like euro truck simulator
now imagine they release euro truck simulator 2, but with nitro boosts, a button to fly around the map for "exploration", all the free stuff you got in 1 is sold in 2 and the controls dumbed down to 1 or 2 buttons
but that's World
Surely they'll retire Khezu and put Gigginox in the game
You'll get you khezu/basarios/kirin roster and you'll fricking like it.
I like khezu
I want more bug monsters. Like a big fat bumblebee fricker that rolls around while you wail on it and shoots out static electricity.
Ended up buying Rise/Sunbreak again on PS5 and it's fun going through the low rank again. Will probably grind back up to MR end game again to keep me occupied until MH6 comes out.
We need more Plant Monsters, like a big ass piranha plant.
Heck yes, imagine a piranha plant sucking your dick
Yama Tsukami is sort of a plant monster. It just floats instead of being rooted, but it doesn't move.
He's covered in moss and foliage but that doesn't really make him a plant based monster.
Afaik different teams worked on both, but I think each of them had merits that Capcom could refine.
>esg
you can expect the worst
>mods
Easy fix
both mhw and mhr would be insufferable without them being easy to cheat/mod. god damn do i HATE live service content dripfeed expecting you to do 30 hours of gambling between updates so you can be in good shape for the next update where you do 30 hours more.
I enjoyed both games up until the aforementioned bottlenecking and continued to despite the respective 5th gen grinds being dogshit because I liked what was under the hood. It’s not like I don’t have a grip on myself anon, but you’re right to be suspicious with how many other people I see get suckered into it and optimize the fun out of their play
>Monster Hunter is clearly not for you
4U babies are hilarious lmao
>brings up 4U out of nowhere when losing the argument
>as if anyone agrees with you about it

Appeal to mods is making all discourse about the quality of vidya stupid. If it's bad, don't mod. Simply never buy.
Sure, I'll play some of the dozen other monster hunting games instead.
Or I'll just mod out esg shit and be happy.
It already happened with Rise. Still mad they cucked us out of the female walk animation.
I just want a cool arboreal spider monster.
spiders don't exist. just fakes like Nerscylla and Rakna because Capcom can't make a monster that doesn't use Kushala or Rathian animations
>franchise built on reusing assets
It's over, MH will become the next pokemon, including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC, handholding cutscenes, removing any form of hard content...
But normies will love it, and they will sell billions because of cool graphics and assasins creed crossovers.
>It's over, MH will become the next pokemon, including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC, handholding cutscenes, removing any form of hard content...
Uhh, so Monster Hunter? It always was like that.
>including a new gimmick every gen just to discard after, doing just the minimum just to re-add stuff via DLC,
MH has genuinely been doing that before pokemon. Frick off, newbie.
Monster Hunter was introduced and good long after Pokemon was shit you stupid underage.
I hope MH6 has cool new monsters, a middle ground between World's more grounded style with Rise's anime flashines could be pretty good
I hope they have finished weapon designs this time. No MMO raid garbage or rotating even quests either.
In fact they should take World, and not do that again since I dont want to sit through another bad story that also fricks up the multiplayer aspect of the game nor do I want the return of a Lao/Zorah monster we are forced to repel in addition to what was mentioned above.
water combat needs to come back as a small sub segment of gameplay for specific mons.
>world slows the combat down from 4th gen
>rise returns to 4th gen speed
>everyone complains about rise being too fast
>sizeable ammount of gays want shit claw and shit-picking slinger back
>sizeable ammount of gays unironically want the games to look better but play worse
>sizeable ammount of gays want dumbass filler content like critters that are completely uninspired and add nothing and do fricking nothing except be collectable.
MH6 will be good because if anything can be gathered from the experiment that is rise and sunbreak is that :
>they know how much they fricked up with the clutch claw
>they know the importance of making random shit in the maps optional and accessible rather than have you go out of your way to pick it up (I still lmao at people who NEED to pick up every single fricking bird not to die lol meanwhile shit rock important for le ebin wallbang)
>they know gameplay will sell anyways since people still bought rise and sunbreak way beyond their expectations despite being a secondary portable title
>most of the shit I disliked about world simply isn't in Rise
Rise began development before World released, dumbass.
And they moved most of their resources to world and scrapped most of the shit they already had for rise in favor of making it more like world.
Monster hunter fans are so miserable, do you guys even like this franchise?
>you can't be critical about the series you love
Go back
I will never understand people that say rise is any different from world
literally the same game, instead of claw you get monster riding which is equally abusable, and wirebugs which are quite frankly a moronic gimmick that turns the combat into cooldown based counter slop for every weapon, the exact thing you're complaining about.
>cooldown counterslop
If you’re shit at the game, maybe. Most of the big abilities have a short enough recharge if you aren’t abusing Wirefall that with appropriate armor skills they’re just like any other move, and many of the later monsters are specifically designed to introduce you to the pavement if you’re crutching on them too much. Only GS and LS are counterspam when played optimally.
Base iframes are the shortest they’ve ever been as well, so the various defensive moves are replacements. Rolling is almost purely for positioning. Scroll swap evades have beefy base iframes, but you have to set them up well in advance.
>Unironically defending rise combat
(you)
most weapons highest dps move is spamming the counter, which also happens to be the easiest move, just face it, it's shit.
>implying you will ever get a t3nd13 to admit this when it's the only 5th gen monhun game they can play
you are naive
do you get your info from montages and TAs? They’re high reward moves but they waste a ton of time to fish for if the monster decides to do something that you can’t actually get anything out of. GS strongarm is hilariously overtuned and basegame LS absolutely was just iai spam but at least it’s weakened iai spam to charge up for an actually strong attack now. Every other weapon, even Lance, has strong use case selection for and against going for counters and aren’t dominated by their inclusion at all. Especially Hammer.
Not that guy, but my problem with the counters isn't meta DPS, but it's how much safer they make casual play, and how game design has to ramp up to account for players having access to them. Even with a handful of moves designed specifically to punish counters, the majority still don't. I can play like a complete moron and escape unscathed.
I could just not bring the counter skills, but when monsters are throwing out huge or lightning-quick attacks balanced around people having strong defensive options, I feel like an even bigger moron for being stubborn and not bringing them.
base iframes are completely gutted in MHR and you’re not rolling through anything that lasts longer than narga spins/roars (like 5f total @60fps).
>Even with a handful of moves designed specifically to punish counters
every attack that's part of a longer sequence counters them
you seem dogshit and coping with your own bad gameplay by claiming counters are "mandatory", even the hardest monsters in the game can be beaten without counters
now now anon, there’s no need to be so brash.
Maybe if you absolutely refuse to add any evasive skills to your set despite intentionally gimping yourself by neglecting to use half the tools
I'm not saying they're mandatory, I'm saying that it's not good design that I have an emergency invincibility button for when I make a mistake.
I am not a speedrunner but I like to replay these games without wearing armor. I can't overstate just how much easier Rise/SB is when I use the counters.
>an emergency invincibility button for when I make a mistake
rolling fulfilled this role in all previous games. Especially funny in 4U where Lance with Evasion+3 could be literally invulnerable
>Especially funny in 4U where Lance with Evasion+3 could be literally invulnerable
So?
Not devaluing your criticism, just illustrating it’s been around for a while now in different forms.
Ruiner still has the infamous quick slam so it’s not like anything vanished. If anything, he’s more annoying because Ruiner is always huge
>emergency invincibility button
silkbinds don't cancel recovery any faster than a roll can, if you fricked up you're still getting hit
if you fricked up with a silkbind then you're double fricked
Rolls don't save you in a lot of emergency situations where you fricked up your positioning to begin with. Especially if you aren't using Evade skills. I-frames are very small. Even in situations where it's possible to i-frame the attack, you are not going to nail those windows every time, and it's safer to counter if it's available.
>yeah but I can't hit those
seems like a personal problem
homie these are like 5 frame windows don't be disingenuous.
Sounds like your set is intentionally geared to make yourself miserable so you can b***h about it online, you consider changing that aspect of your life?
It's not always safer to counter when available, counters have a longer recovery, use resources and aren't always instant like roll iframes are
SB especially has a surplus of skills to buff rolls if that's what you want to do
I always felt like Rise was extremely easy for casual players, but pretty hard for speedrunners. But I'm not a speedrunner so maybe I'm wrong? Also, I only played base Rise, Sunbreak may be different.
On the other hand, if you're speedrunning the hunt is a constant parry skillcheck.
>but it's how much safer they make casual play
yeah just like how wirefall means casuals don't faint
in reality every new option just means casuals kill themselves more often doing shit they can't get away with
shitters will try to counter combo attacks on the first hit, wirefall through multihit attacks, and get up immediately as tigrex is walking over them
aint shit changed but the rose tint on your glasses
>host quadruple carts 5 minutes into an EX quest
>dies the same way every time
>find them in another SOS a few days later and they’re just camping the tent or on the other side of the arena
You’re onto something here
gays who haven't played rise think wirefall has i-frames lol.
It actually does, about a fifth of a second, but only in the wakeup before you’ve actually moved.
>tfw you remember how so many worldsperms never ever learned you can just not to get up until the monster is done with their super turbo attack and would mash buttons to get back up and immediately eat shit.
Remember how you did the same when you started playing?
I learned pretty fast not to do that
t. started with 4U and got humbled by HR Shogun Ceanataur
>ceanataur
Daimyo Hermitaur*
Shogun was still an butthole in GU but by then I knew what to expect
No because when I started playing, there was no recovery delay yet
Not really, you couldn't do this in FU and by 4 when they introduced it, it was one of the first things I noticed since not being able to delay it in previous games was the main thing that allowed tigrex to frick you up.
No, because I started playing in Freedom 2
>you can just not to get up
TRVE Monster Hunter doesn't have that
Do you really expect Worldgays to know anything about SPEED?
Lmao World/IB had some of the slowest monsters, even G rank, the only thing that wasn't slow were the hunters.
Monster Hunter, at its core, is a slow and methodological game.
Tendie meltie
>no argument
>no argument as a reply to no argument LE BAD

You said MH is slow and methodical and I replied certainly not for the monsters.
You should follow your own advices.
>People who started with Rise/GU
I dumped hundreds of hours into every game since 3U and until World/Rise the only monsters that moved at the turbo autist levels of speed people like to defend so much were Apexes, Hypers or Deviants, aside from some anomalies like 4U's Rathalos and Brachydios that had one attack that allowed them to rubber band across the area at the speed of light, specially egregious in 4U/GU Rathalos which was considered one of it's most annoying iterations in the entire series.
Hell, most monsters had the whole "Stop in place, slowly turn towards hunter, charge, repeat"
>slow
Certainly not the monsters.
it's the same speed
>rise returns to 4th gen speed
>except Rajang, frick you Rajang, you are now slower than Tobi-Kadachi.
My only regret is that they started adding $700 of DLC to the games, starting with World. So you have to buy cosmetics/emotes instead of earning them by playing.
I know they still give you some for completing requests and event quests but it still feels shit
this
if it was GU you would be able to get all of those for free if you played the side/event quests
REAL MONSTER HUNTER = Learning a monsters moveset and figuring out how to overcome said monster using your slower movement speed and limited moveset.
soulless fake monster hunter = just counter everything with any weapon and wirebugbravecheatbushido away to safety lol so fun!!!
>REAL MONSTER HUNTER = Learning a monsters moveset and figuring out how to overcome said monster using your slower movement speed and limited moveset.
clunky and anky ass combat
>soulless fake monster hunter = just counter everything with any weapon and wirebugbravecheatbushido away to safety lol so fun!!!
oh you can actually fight without running away for half of the encounter, yep this is fun
unironically ADHD zo(o)mbrained
You don't like Monster Hunter. That's fine, go play something else.
exactly i don't like it, how did you know
>attacks me instead of arguing back
kek every single time
Imagine your life just being posting shitty bait for hours
try to use 1% of your brain's power and youll notice that i'm right, this is not bait moron
>REAL MONSTER HUNTER = Learning a monsters moveset and figuring out how to overcome said monster using your slower movement speed and limited moveset.
is MH NOW real monster hunter then?
Surely you guys aren't dumb enough to expect them to show a new mainline MH at fricking TGS instead of E3/Dorito Pope game show?
>e3
E3 isn't a thing anymore moronkun
This is why there's a slash there that precedes the "Dorito Pope game show" you absolute imbeciles.
>Dorito Pope show
Because TGS is one of the world's biggest vidya shows in the world, let alone Japan, and Capcom has a long history of announcing new games there, you shit for brains.
Just because Keighley ritualistically sucks on Kojima's and Miyazaki's wieners doesn't mean that every game is going to be announced in his show
>E3 got cancelled last 2-3 years and has already gotten cancelled for 2024 and 2025 too
E3 is dead and buried, get over it, it's never coming back
Where's the Ganker hosted frontier server to tide us over until World 2?
I hope they let us skip cutscenes and have proper multiplayer from the beginning instead of that shitty flare system.
WHy are you guys still coping? There will be no MH6 at TGS.
They just want an excuse to keep platformwarring.
To be wholly honest, I feel as if it's just GaijinHunter saying stupid and loud to bring attention to his dying internet presence.
>Gaijin and stupidshit
Name the iconic duo, we are talking about a guy that would break Capcom NDA because of youtube view
I've been playing MH for over a decade, and I like Rise/SB.
you aren't a real monster hunter unless you're going to also play the pokemon go copy
hello shareholder
get out of your room fatass
>just pay like a good goy
Have some self respect gachatard
The game is free unless you're bad and get hit all the time, in which case it's still free but you'll be limited to much shorter sessions.
Now is the ultimate return to classic MH experience
>monsters do not get powercreeped into irrelevancy, every single monster stays challenging
>it's very grindy, like monhun should be
>it's very punishing but not particularly hard (if you get hit too much you're gonna have to pay up for potions, shitter)
>you actually have to physically "track" your targets down
>setbuilding for specific monsters is a thing again
>all weapon types are viable
>every monster that gets added will make all existing monsters slightly rarer which will only add to the experience of tracking the monster down
>game is heavily positionbased and it doesn't suffer from "just attack the head" syndrome, some monsters you just do not want to be near the head
>you're actually, genuinely hunting down the monster
>weapons have depth (i think this one is just impressive considering it's a fricking phone game)
>they plan on adding every single monster
>all weapon types are viable
of which there are only 6 and was the case in every modern monster hunter
talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel
As in elemental, raw, and status weapons all are highly viable and it's up to you to choose what you want to use.
The game will have every weapon in the franchise too, of course, alongside every monster.
>all weapon types are viable
It's not a real Monster Hunter game then, sorry.
>hey remember how annoying it was to have to climb up to the very top of arctic ridge for literally all but 2 monsters you fight there?
>what if every map was like that all the time
>coral highlands area 15
You know you can build other camps right?
You can get up there instantly using a glider mantle. There's a hot air draft behind the sloped area where you can fly aaaalll the way up
remember when these games were good?
i honestly dont
good?
>i-frames
Garbage. That shit shouldn't even exist
the window is so narrow you gotta be a autist to consistenly hit it
I hope if Savage comes back they actually shroud his head in dragon energy instead of just black smoke, one of my actual gripes with World/Iceborne is that the effects of monster attacks weren't as cool as in the older games
yes, when I was playing World yesterday
Please go back to Frontier/4U/3U/FU gameplay but keep the world graphics
This is all I ask from monster hunter
It's at least 6 months away. They aren't announcing it now
both rise and world were revealed around 6-7 months before their release but ok
World was a little longer between announcement and release but it's also the only time they've ever taken that long
MH marketing doesn't go on that long since it's typically been nearly a yearly series
>it's also the only time they've ever taken that long
COVID happened, all Capcom projects have been postponed one way or another. Resident Evil 4, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Street Fighter 6 were all supposed to launch last year, according to the leaks.
World was out before Covid
Ah sorry, I can't read. I thought he meant "they never took this long to announce a new MH game"
They will go full open world ala diablo 4 and ruin everything.
>eric raid
Of course
When will they port official FU on steam?
I wouldn't mind if they just re-release the old games and have more time to develop the new gen one.
I want a Frontier reboot
>Monster Hunter: Pronouns ESG Edition
No thanks.
i just want old games on steam with working online instead of a mh6
>zoomies be like: YO THIS GAMES FIRE
I always believed that bowgun players are soulless husks.
Except CB which is fricking molasses and all of its damage is shipwrecked and stuck on its least interactive moves, why the hell didn’t they bring back Energy Blade as a switch skill replacement for SAED
is this gay actually trying to argue that Legiana isn't ANOTHER reskinned rath?
>every enemy is a dragon or bird
fricking SNORE.
They can literally reuse all the dragons and birds from 1 since graphics haven't improved much and then add a ton of other shit.
Personally I think it's too soon after Sunbreak so I'll probably wait for the DLC version of 6.
>all this seething about Legiana
Absolutely filtered
BOO!
I really need to stop being a lazy b***h and install frontier.
>breaking parts improves the hitzone
Imagine
Shogun used to permanently enrage if you broke a claw.
ngnhghnfnhff im leaking ngfhgfnhgfnhhffhhff
Nowchads... we won
god it's such an awful game too, my gf got into the the early build of it and barely put in more than 3 hours into it
My gf loves it. I guess I landed myself the better girlfriend.
It really just made me want to play a full MH game instead. Replaying Freedom Unite right now.
Playing that makes me wish I was playing real Monster Hunter instead, the combat is way too simplified.
Speaking of Now, why is a major gameplay function like being able to lock on to specific parts exclusive to an armor skill? Given the nature of the controls that seems like something they'd bake directly into the design of the game, not limit to the fricking Kulu Helm.
They knew it too with how they made a primary quest objective be to upgrade the helm and kill something with it.
SnS is my least favorite weapon.
your iq must be THIS high to enjoy sniss, its not your fault
its my favorite weapon throughout the series but world sns is probably my least favorite weapon in the entire fricking series. it just feels fricking terrible to use and i dont even mean damage wise, the only thing that feels good is perfect rush, go figure.
they tried to make it feel like dragon's dogma's sns but even that feels better
I can't wait to hunt more fricking monsters. Holy shit I fricking love hunting. New MH? New hunts. Good.
I just want to hunt for god's sake.
literally me
play MHNow then
>NOW doesn't have a new flagship, or any new monsters for that matter
why
Rathalos is the flagship
>new flagship
Don't care.
I've been passing the time by rounding out my layered armor collection in SB and doing target monster investigations. God I love these games.
NOOOO NOT THE SHIVERING FROG NOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ICHINOSE-SENSEI SAVE ME
I hope next MH adds all these little details that were missing from Rise. People say that they're non factors and it doesn't matter if they're gone which is true. I never missed them in my time playing Rise but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them when they're there. Also for the love of Jesus give us the soulful seasonal hub changes.
OOOOOHHHH I'M GONNA HOOOOOOOONT
He WILL come back
Give me a proper farm again. P3rds farm was the best.
>Reinstall MHW
>Load old character
>Last assigned quest - Alatreon
>Jump into the hunt
>Immediately remember why I quit World back then
Kulve was a mistake
Safi was a mistake
Alatreon was a big fricking mistake
safi is cool as shit to me
otherwise i agree
I liked Safi and Alatreon. The le DPS check isn't that bad.
Fatalis was fricking awesome, though. My favorite incarnation in the whole series.
Forgot to mention that Kulve's chase section was absolute trash, almost on par with Lao Shan for me. But the actual fight was pretty good, I really liked AT Kulve.
If i could beat alatreon anyone can.
I dont even do those fights anymore. Im happier because of it.
Equip Fortify and brute force the fight
It's outright easier alone than with a group since you can ignore the element gimmick
Alatreon is unironically easier (and more fun) if you ignore the stupid element dps check shit and just brute force it, you will die once or twice, but it will save you a headache if your weapon type doesn't naturally vomit element.
lmao don't have a nice day shitterbro
I'll kill you instead for being an insufferable reddit lurking c**t. How about it?
Calm down here's the original Ganker one for Fatalis release if that makes you feel better, dogshit homosexual. You will never be good at monster hunter.
Im surprised how active World is, it made me come back to it just to frick around. So my hope is that they make world 2 but dont pussy out and make the bosses easier and just make them more in line with Iceborne difficulty. I like my multiplayer games active.
>more in line with Iceborne difficulty
So easy?
Harder than base at least, so long as its not braindead like base MHW im happy.
The initial release will inevitably only go up to High Rank so it's not gonna be as difficult no matter what, unless they gimp armor skills so you can't have as much stacked on your set anymore.
I'm so happy we can leave nintendo behind. Finally, a real monster hunter...
My dad works at videogames screencrap this
What the frick is that screenshot? MHO?
>only 70% of the roster
boring, give me a monster hunter set entirely underwater
That sounds cool. Nothing but underwater and a couple cave systems that have Khezu, Giggi, and Gigginox in them. Everything else is underwater
>Fighting Diablos in FU in Area 2 Desert
>He digs east
>Appears west in area 7
explain this atheists
As funny as Jho appearing under you could be I'm kinda glad they got rid of monsters that can dig teleporting around the map
>getting filtered by KINOtreon
holy frick and I thought I was bad
I think Fatalis filtered more people because he's way harder but Alatreon definitely caused the most seethe from raw babies so is infinitely more based.
Fair enough, both fun fights. I truly pity those who cannot improve
Alatreon definitely exposed some salty shitters
Fatalis too but he's legitimately a lot harder without a moronic gimmick move
Pretty much. Fatalis' gimmick is just a short clock, which was always a thing for him.
Short clock and a long wiener
i beat alatreon but the element dps mechanic is pure shit because
>it doesn't belong in MH
>you still have to spam heals even if you clear it
>after you break both horns unless you cart it's basically impossible to clear it because favorable element permanently changes
>if you get bad RNG and can't mantain the DPS upkeep then you're better off quitting and restarting, truly the most awful of things that can happen in a MH game, it was better when it was because you forgot to bring hot drinks
I agree that it's not very fitting for MonHun, but it's really not that bad. Just grab an elemental weapon and be done with it
is that a mod
What do you mean?
the wyvernfire aiming, i thought you could only do a super slow horizontal shuffle to re-aim your wyvernfire
I'm using a Steam Controller
It has touchpads
I can't believe Iceborne made gunlance fun after you stick the stakemine on the monster lmao.
Please for the live of Christ don't be on the Switch
Itll be on the New Nintendo Switch.
MH6 is getting announced at Game Awards
>Cart
>Hit the monster a single time
>It dies
frick you FU diablos
Please don't have underwater mechanics
Underwater swimming but no combat
Underwater combat but no swimming
underwater without shitty 3ds controls would be way more managable.
Wirebugs are a great template for underwater movement
Should I buy World on sale or just play Rise that a friend gifted me
play rise with your friend you antisocial homosexual
What controller
MKB
any gamepad if you have one, MKB is fine though
Gamepad if melee.
KBM if you're ranged.
buy world and ignore the money your friend spent, also block him just in case
tell your friend to kys for buying you rise
Call your friend a simp and dox him online.
World is better for singleplayer, Rise is better if you have a friend to play with.
World. Rise is bingshit.
Play Rise. It's a lot better than Ganker will ever admit.
World has more active multiplayer, so pick that
ENTER
EXIT
Recital mode....my beloved.....
>double recital into K.O.
Frick it's satisfying
I actually liked Safi's build-you-own weapon system.
It could be refined to be great. Maybe limit it to one per weapon type?
No more bone/iron weapons with monster parts glued on for fricks sake. I shouldn't need to install a mod for something that has been a staple in every single game.
moron
Yes we know you're moronic thanks for sharing.
Why do people always say this shit as if boned/iron weapons were a design choice and actually even had the possibility of happening again? See
Oh you're one of those morons that think capcom ran out of time or some shit huh. Yeah you're a fricking moron.
>they were intentionally shit
See
Can’t wait to speedrun it
how many months HRT?
Can't wait for MH6 to bake silkbinds into weapon movesets only for Ganker to go into "oh it's totally not anime now!"
That 180 on Glavenus during his reveal in IB was amazing.
explain your fanfic
No fanfic needed. The general consensus here was that Glavenus and the rest of the Generations cast were "overdesigned anime frontiershit killing MH." Then Glav was announced for IB and the narrative switched to "OMG so cool" overnight.
Take your meds schizo.
>silkbinds
OUT
>switch skills
IN
Glavenus and Brachy need a redesign to be less anime
Lunagaron needs a redesign to look less like a plastic toy
Goss harag needs a redesign to look less like a fantasy creature
Garangholm and Paolumu need a redesign to not be so fricking ugly
seethe as much as you want, you know I'm right
>Goss harag needs a redesign to look less like a fantasy creature
They're all fantasy creatures
>Goss harag needs a redesign to look less like a fantasy creature
Stupidest fricking post in this entire thread.
I really hope they go back to worlds online system, at least how SOS works
Best part about MH for me is the multiplayer
I genuinely think that the next iteration of MH's online system is a sort of open hub area combined with the guiding lands. An open hub for people to hop in and out with a large'ish map around where monsters appear and everyone just does their own thing, group up, hunt solo, do whatever.
God I hate Kirin.
same
kwab
Frick SOS
Just bring back the bigger player limit on the gathering hub playing with more than 4 people in Sunbreak is annoying as frick swapping rooms to join quests
uhoh erica melty
please please please have cross play PC PS5 etc etc etc please.
>SnS without all the crazy bullshit
? If anything SnS was dumbed down with removing oils(which was a good thing by the way, frick oils).
>GS critdraw
git gud and stop playing like a pussy
>gunners
just delete them
>only one counter for the LS is ok
LS never needed a counter
No frick off. If I'm using a big ass LS I want to do the Samurai moves. You're a moron.
