there's dozens of options
just buy one
I use a 8bitdo pro 2 that's gameboy colored
it's nice for emulating and playing games
it's not as modern as the console controllers but I don't really want that shit anyways
No I mean for the PS5 itself. Sony bros literally have to buy multiple controllers and constantly keep swapping between them if they want to play wirelessly
plug in ur usb-c cord
and play
ffs
No
you can afford a 600$ brick
you can afford a 6$ cable
it's 2023
who wants to plug in a cable every 3 hours and have that shit going across the room
You can put the cable in a powerbank next to you.
clunky and unnecessary. that people actually defend the shit battery blows my mind. my dualshock 3 from 15 years ago has 4x the battery life of dualsense.
you're right but those who aren't poorgays play with one pad while a second one is charging and they won't have any more problems. mindblowing
He can't. After he spent 600 $ on the PS5 he ran out of dollarsigns.
>put me on a leash, daddy sony
>ill be your little cordcuck snoyslave
not even once
the usb-c connector breaks after a while. don't play with it wired
if you're playing it wired, my guess is that your usb-c is close to snapping so it keeps disconnecting. remove the controller from your devices, connect it via bluetooth only (make sure it's like you're adding the controller for the first time) and i think it should work. if it doesn't, there might be a problem with the controller itself. try syncing it to another computer and see if it happens there as well
>just plug in your controller dude it's 1996 ffs
Correct. It worked fine in 1996 and it still works fine now. You aren't going to be running laps around your living room while playing a game and you don't need to flailing the controller around even if you decide to use motion controls. Playing wired feels no different than playing wireless.
>average 40inch tv enjoyer comment
Get a cord long enough that it won't be suspended in the air and it makes no difference how far back you sit. My TV is 32 inches. It worked fine back when I first got a PS3 and it works fine now. I just wish I wasn't tricking into thinking my CRT wasn't good enough at the time.
I can play video games completely under the covers in bed when it's cold in the morning.. Can't do that with a wire fricking it up
Use Remote Play and a DS4 wrapper to use any controller you want. I use the Vader 3 Pro, which also has toggleable gyro, it's great.
i almost pity modern snoys still sticking with a company with higher prices than PC but still lower build quality than literal generic off-brand chinkshit
almost
Yeah it's called buy an xbox
Black person go buy a fricking 10 ft usb cord and if ithats not long enough go buy a usb extension cord and use both of them together. moron. then unplug it when it's done charging
I love how clicky the buttons are. There’s almost a spring to them. I think I still prefer the shape and feel of the DS4 though.
My x button started sticking after like 3 months.absolute pos controller. My ps4 controller still works great.
>3 hours
What the frick, the rechargable batteries on my xbox series controller lasts at least 20 hours non stop... How's 3 hours of controller battery even a thing
It's the same battery as the PS4 controller but the Dual Sense has a lot more gimmick shit it needs to supply power to. The adaptive triggers are cool, but turning them on drains the battery hard.
it isnt. he's lying on the internet.
It is really fricking annoying. I replaced it with a battery that is more than twice the size of the default one and it still barely lasts a day.
>it isnt. he's lying on the internet.
Yeah, its 6 hours. Still ridiculous.
Also I hate the fricking speaker. Why did i spend money a surround sound set up for shitty quality sounds to come out of the controller. At least I can disable in all games that use it so far. But, why would anyone want a controller speaker?
Sony can’t help themselves, they must copy Nintendo even their moronic designs. The Wiimote and its shitty speaker broke Sony and all their controllers since.
False, nintendo copies sony
copies Sony by copying their designs before they even enter the drawing board
False
Easy. Its not.
that sounds defective. i regularly use my dualsense for 5-6 hours without a recharge
This. The real problem is the shitty resistive triggers that have a QC problem and snap.
>3 hours sounds defective
>5 hours sounds isn't defective
Most controllers easily get double digits
Most controllers don't have advanced vibrations, haptic triggers, a touchpad and a noise cancelling mic in them.
>advanced vibrations
useless feature
>haptic triggers
useless feature
>a touchpad
useless feature
>noise cancelling mic
If you are using the built in mic on a controller you should just end your life now.
I'd rather have hall effects sticks that don't drift and 30 hours game time per charge.
Just play a snes boomer, the future isn't for you, sorry.
>Just play a snes boomer, the future isn't for you, sorry.
>3 hour battery life
>future
PS5 is better than your crappy bingtendo
majority of games don't use that shit and the battery life is still terrible
maybe it's the built in battery that has half the capability of one singular AA battery
>majority of games don't use that shit
Literally every game uses the adaptive triggers and some feel like magic with it. Don't know what you're doing playing pc games with a controller made for sony CONSOLES you fricking moron
I bought a second controller yesterday and it didn't include a USB chord. WTF Sony?
Mine currently is disconnecting from my PC a couple seconds after it connects. Wired or wireless
Any ideas?
I had my wireless DS4 disconnect instantly and unchecking this helped
dunno if this is the same
Why did you buy a sony peripheral to use on a windows pc.
Because the Dualsense feels better and it just werks (on my machine).
Wireless cuckolds are pathetic
JUST USE A FRICKING CABLE ZOOMZOOM
>20$ device
>add wireless meme
>suddenly 160$
Literally just but an 8bitdo
The switch ultimate one has like over 20 hours of battery life and their controllers are sturdy as frick, I saw a video where a guy first dropped it from a balcony onto wooden flooring and then onto concrete and the controller was only slightly damaged but still worked
Wireless sisters, our response?
This thing has 2.5 hours battery life and no one seem to complain
It also has to actually process games and isn’t just a dumb controller.
8bitdo
Yeah it sucks. I put a Paxo inside mine. But a battery like that should be inside a €70 product already. I shouldn't need to spend another €25 to make it decent.
I had no idea these existed although my controller is new and don't want to already begin tinkering with it and removing a new battery that has barely been used.
How long does it last with that battery instead?
well at least you can recharge it. xbox controllers still use fricking baterries
recharge batteries brainlet. they last 30-40 hours and are hot swappable, you never run out of battery life
>xbox controllers still use fricking baterries
unironically a good thing and all wireless devices should follow this trend
rechargeable battery packs exist you know?
keeping in mind that the original battery never lasted me less than 5 hours, I replaced it with two 18650 batteries (3000mah x2) and the average life now is 25-30 hours with vibration on
>won't charge controller when PS5 is off
My pc from 10 years ago had powered USB ports when turned off.
>3 hours
It's more like 5 hours tbh. It's the best controller on the market
I haven't recharged the removable batteries in my xbox one controller in 2 weeks
Good for (You) tbh. Still no reason to outright fabricate the PS5 controller battery life.
Just make a thread about your XBOX controller if you want to instead.
just like you fabricating how it's the best controller on the market, tard (desu)
It's ok anon, I understand that your controller's lack of features makes you sad. You will feel a little better as you seethe about the PS5 controller.
ps5 IS the best gaming machine with the best controller
You just buy a second controller.
Every 5 hours swap the controllers over, it’s not a big deal imo.
He's poor, you can't expect him to have 50$ on his bank account dude
Superior pair coming through
that is fricking cringe shit, just use the classic 360 controller, moron
>360
Why choosing that trash, even the series controller is superior to the 360
>there are people here who actively play their games for 3+ hour long sessions.
How are those blood clots coming along?
And all because of the stupid touchpad no one uses or needs. I remember my PS3 controller would last me weeks on a single charge but the DS4 and DualSense won't even last me a single gaming session.
The touchpad is really useful on PC where you can bind it however you want rather than being restricted by developers that can't see it as anything more than a start and select button. I would gladly sacrifice wireless for the extra inputs I get from the track pad. However, it is also worth noting that the Steam controller has two track pads and lasts 10 times longer, so this is a Sony issue rather than a track pad issue.
It's also worth noting that the deck has a 10 times bigger battery.
False, ps5 has more battery
I meant the stand alone controller that was discontinued. It uses two AA batteries that last a very long time despite track pads, advanced rumble, and motion sensing.
It's a better controller than shitch
>turn off adaptive triggers
>turn off microphone
>turn lightbar settings to low
Literally goes from a 3 hour battery life to 5-6 hour with those three changes.
>ps5 controller is dead after 1 day of playing
Meanwhile
>xbox controller lasts at least a week of playing at least 5 hours a day and takes 10 seconds to swap the rechargeables
God I hope microsoft never falls for the built in battery meme
False
What part? I own both. This has absolutely been my experience
If your PC is nearby: Chiaki remote play, use ANY PC controller on your PS5
Thanks for reminding me to charge my controller. Last night I turned on my PS5 to download a game to play today. Controller probably needed to be charged.
the best thing is to unironically have 2 controllers that you hot swap between
sadly we will never get a wireless controller with a battery as based as the Switch Pro Controller
so when are you cucks going to add the second controller on PC price comparisons?
because once you add the costs of a second controller you are already well within the zone of a ps5 killer with all brand new PC parts
Fair as long as we add the price of monitor, periferics, desk and chair to PC as most people don't have those beforehand unlike a TV and a couch.
maybe in your turd world SHITHOLE yes
Most people just have a laptop or a macbook they use on their living room.
I only ever use it wireless with my PS5. So it never gets a chance to drain.
My mate and I both got stick drift with in 6 months.
And if your gaming for more than few hours its much better to play wired.
you don't have any games to play with that fricking controller anyways, stupid b***h. you might as well plug the usb-c cable into your ass and stare at the wall
Why are you on Ganker if there are no games to play? What exactly are you looking to discuss?
>Multiplats don't LE COUNT
My tweenaged little brother got me this for Christmas https://www.gamestop.com/gaming-accessories/batteries/playstation-5/products/gamestop-playstation-5-controller-rechargeable-battery-pack/346157.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=feeds&utm_campaign=%24PLA_%24NB_MNFR_Toys+%26+Collectibles_Gamestop_HighCP&utm_id=16258772387&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD5TdcRcx9Et6nsioYmO76W86qccp&gclsrc=ds
If he can figure something out, so can you, big guy
>17 bucks for a 1400mah rechargable battery
The absolute state of snoys...
why IS the battery so bad though? Ive seen controllers with the exact same size last for days without needing a charge
The touchpad moron. This has been discussed to death, how are you still not aware of it?
I don't know i'm not a snoyBlack person
The battery is 1800mAh and you can fit 4000mAh in the same size. They probably gimped it so you need to buy a second controller.
>terrible battery life
>mushy buttons and d-pad
>400 hour lifespan on sticks before they drift
>more fragile than a Black person getting bantz'd
>always-on microphone
it's junk
>They definitely gimped it so you need to buy a second controller.
fixed
1560 mAh akshually
also dualsense edge has a 1000 mAh battery
it doesn't make sense to me what sony is doing to the controllers, fricking moronic
They do this so you'll buy two and swap between them.
Buy a usb cable? I don't use it for ps5, I don't have one, but emulation and Steam games feel pretty good with it, gyro controls for Switch emulation also help a lot.
Still the best controller.
Sony had better not frick up and drop out of the console market like Sega did. I won't be able to stand having to use a fricking Xbox controller for the rest of my life. Not to mention, naturally, that Microsoft monopolizing gaming will completely and utterly ruin it even more than it already has.
Dpad sucks
Luckily the dpad is a secondary input.
If the dpad is shit I'm just gonna get another controller and let the one with the shitty dpad ccumulate dust on my drawer
>battery comparable to an entire switch despite being just the controller
>build quality so bad that you got extremely lucky if something isn't acting up within 2 months
>build quality so bad that off-brank chink clones copying the shell have better build quality and better batteries
>80% of the controller is useless gimmicks nobody asked for
>the touchpad responsiveness is actual ass
>the triggers are ass
>the dpad is garbage
>the nice face buttons get buckbroken within 3 months or less and start sticking
have a nice day snoy
do people really sit and play video games for 3+ hours straight non-stop?
It doesn't have to be non stop. My use case is play game 1-2 hours, pause, do house work for an hour, repeat. When I did this playing Persona 5, sometimes I wouldn't get to the turn based combat in that interval, so 3 hours isn't a long time.
that's what these are for. get your gaming session in, dock/charge it when it's not in use. if you don't want the Sony brand, they're like 10 bucks on amazon.
>j-just buy a dock and a second controller! it's okay to be a snoyslave cordcuck homosexual!
hyper cope
>just don't play for more than 3 hours and you should be fine
Yes, my usual session is between 7 and 12 hours per day
>Swap out the battery, add a better one
>7 hour to 19 hour
wow that was fricking difficult, i guess since you zoomers only think of replacing batteries when they only look like pic related your brain just doesn't register that you can still fricking replace it with a bigger capacity one
Its a shame because otherwise the controller is so comfy
