>3D models ruined pokemon
Nope.

I wouldn't mind an ass crack protag myself.
Honestly, I want them to try an HD-2D Pokémon game. I'm sure they'll somehow find a way to screw it up, but it's a step in the right direction.
Or alternatively use the PBR models. Those were actually fine.
Agreed, but I'd rather have a protag that's not named Hilda who has a huge ponytail by default.
hi yawngay
>all examples but one are from gen 5
Guess what, I think gen 5 looks like complete fricking ass because the pixel tweening and sprite rotation is shit, and the 2D and 3D graphics visually clash with one another.
>still posting the same screenshots after it has been proven a bunch of times that they are just badly compressed to make them look worse.
Keep coping but SV will always be messy buggy vomit
DO NOT
BESMIRCH
THE GOOD TOWN
finding out he's a manlet ruined nidoking
Huh that’s strange?
Seems like Delcatty was unaffected?
Why did they make him fat in gen 4?
Cuz Pokemon peaked in gen 3, everything after is already part of the downfall. Get it through your fricking skulls. Rome doesn't fall in a day, and this is what makes you morons keep advocating for anything past gen 3, you're incapable cutting your losses, and being objective thinkers.
humblest hoenngay
gen 3 was already getting worse than 1 and 2
It wasn't perfect, but it was a step in the right direction, unlike gen 4 forwards. I think what sucked about 3 was the setting. Too colorful and islandly, I don't know, but the building blocks were definitely there.
>it was a step in the right direction
no it wasn't
>unlike gen 4 forwards.
gen 4 is just gen 3 but better in every way
Nope because it was on a poopDS and emulation didn't have 1billion x speed [SPACE], so frick that shit
Most pathetic fanbase of all time.
Nothing's stopping them from re-saturating the models. Legends was half-way there.
Nothing’s stopping them from keeping them exactly as is either.
>just use 2d models on 3d hardware!
Based brainlet
? That’s not what I said.
Its scary, I leave this board for months at a time, and whenever I come back it's the exact same threads every single time. I get that most of you have trains flowing through your veins, but how do you manage to survive long enough to keep doing this shit?
You are fricking moronic, you think cause time passes the self evident truths stop being true??? Perhaps youre shocked to discover the sky is still blue, you drooling c**t
Nobody sits and moans about the sky not being blue enough every week
Oh wait
You moron, I complain cause they're still making shitty 3D pokemon games, as far as Im aware nobody is continually developing the fricking sky
I really liked sprites and how flexible and unique they could all be, but Colosseum and XD show us 3d models can in fact work
The problem has always been the lack of care and effort put into the games, they made the models suck because it was cheap and easy, unfortunately that is the future of pokemon: cheap and easy
The models we have now are better than the garbage GCN spin offs. You’re just a nostalgiatard.
It's not the models, it's the character given to the models, they do more than stand there essentially tposed, each damage animation or attack animation had insite to the personality of the specific pokemon. It wasn't all generic.
>each damage animation or attack animation had insite to the personality of the specific pokemon. It wasn't all generic
this still happens. stop looking at jpgs on showdown
>took until gen 9 for base Blastoise to finally be allowed to shoot water out of its cannons properly when this was something Stadium accomplished literal decades ago
did 2d games ever shoot the proper way?
A lot of hyper beams in 2d games were fired from the crotch
Nidoking looked like THIS on the N64 and GCN. What we have now is better than this abomination.
>all sexy
what's the problem
No, it looked more like that on the Wii. In reality if you saw things as they were in their intended resolution all Pokemon games look passable up until Gen 7 when performance and visuals started taking a huge dip with zero payout.
But if you're going to take a literal N64 model, up the res, and slap it into a modern engine with lighting and things it was never designed to work with it's going to look like shit as it does in the image you posted, or any of the blown up mixel images of Gen 5 posted on this board constantly.
You might as well slap one of those blurry, smudgy filters all over the 2D games and say that's how it looked if you want a fair comparison.
Soul
I hate how under saturated the 3D models are.
Hiw anyone made a mod to improve saturation for any of the Switch games?
3d would look awful if were more saturated. look at lgpiss
LGPE are the only Switch Pokemon games to look and run ok.
I like gen 5 and 6 graphics
Never, because sprites are no longer marketable to the lowest common denominator unless it's in a nostalgia-pandering retro context.
ALL sprites, regardless of quality, are currently seen as outdated and unappealing, so returning to sprites would be absolute suicide for Pokemon's sales.
Pokemon models are great nowadays, its the bad posing in battle that sucks.
I love him!
>3D models ruined pokemon.
No they didn't you flaming moron.
>When are we going to get a sprite based Pokemon game again?
Hopefully never.
>this didn't look like shit
Unovagays lmao
looks good
Soul
now do the Golurk sprite where its torso literally just floats up and down in an endless loop
