5/5 +RE1, SMB3, CV3, MGS1, Tetris Attack
4/4, MGS trilogy and DKC 2 (just played if for the first time about amonth ago and was hooked)
i really need to get around to dark souls. i'm not a huge rpg guy, any chance i will like it?
Dark Souls is more action-oriented, but builds are still important since it can affect playstyles and what weapons you can use. I'd still definitely recommend it if you want a world you can immerse yourself into since Lordran is probably my favorite world of any game.
6/6 +MGS2, Super Metroid, RDR2, Vice City, MGS1, Yoshi's Island
I really gotta play Age of Empires 2. Vice City is by far the best GTA.

I love Battlefield 2. I actually have a soft spot for it because it was my dad’s favourite game of all time, so I have memories of it.

Gems is one of the weaker Sonic collections though.

Hey, dude, how's your day been? Just got off of work myself. What games have you been playing recently?

>Am I the only one who prefers RDR1 to 2?
Probably not, but for me, 2 was head and shoulders above the original. I loved John to death, but Arthur's one of my all time favorite protagonists.
Also, hunting. I've legit spent hours in this barebones hunting minigame.
>I really want to play Replicant, but I feel like I need to work on my backlog.
Whenever you get around to it, I'm pretty confident you'll like it a ton. What'cha got on your backlog?
>What games have you been playing recently?
One of my friends is roping me into playing Fallout 76 with them, so I’m going to be doing that soon. I didn’t like 4 that much, but I hear it’s now a decent middle ground between 3 and 4, so maybe I’ll enjoy it.
>What'cha got on your backlog?
You know, it's funny. I've got a bunch of games I want to play that have no definitive end, on top of games I need to finish.
Just downloaded the MCC and am eager to get that configured, want to play the Stardew Valley updates, have a game of Runescape Classic, and am stuck on Submarine Titans as it's scratching a very specific itch for me rn.
On top of that I need to finish Stronghold Crusader's campaigns, want to play MGS1 and 2, and Silent Hill.
Of all these, I think my priorities are MCC, Sub Titans, and MGS1 and 2.
7/8, +RE1, SMB3 & Castlevania 3

7/8, +Yoshi’s Island and Diablo 2

Am I the only one who prefers RDR1 to 2? I never see 1 on these grids. I really want to play Replicant, but I feel like I need to work on my backlog.
I've complained about Submarine Titans in the last few threads saying I put it on prematurely, but it finally clicked. The game *is* lacking a certain polish that you find in the big name RTS games, and the campaign is basically broken in terms of how you can cheese it, but man are custom battles fun.
bump because I still need to make mine.
Well did you make it?
Yeah its in the itt
i dont' like guessing games anon
Early 00s were the prime of your life?

>wario world
how is it? is it anything like smw?
Wario world is a 3d platformer. Completely forgotten but one of the best in my opinion, very underrated
it's not a collectathon is it? it saddens me that every 3d platformer had to conform to that mold 5th gen
Not necessarily a collectathon. There are collection elements throughout the levels but they're much more linear than something like banjo-kazooie. It's also really weird as you would probably expect from Wario

It's a bit funny how for a lot of people the best vidya are the recent ones.
>SCIV is honestly my least favorite of the classicvanias. I've been asking people to enlighten me on what makes it so special for decades now. It comes across to me as pretty but extremely slow and easy.
I like it because I'm bad at video games but love castlevania, also the music.
Fair enough. Have you tried Rondo of Blood? It's a little harder but still feels a little too easy for me. Remarkable game in all other aspects, though. Always need to 100% it around this time of year.
Yes: even the hard mode is hardly what I'd call hard, though. I agree mostly about the atmosphere, but a rotating ugly brown cavern is still an ugly brown cavern. I personally find that Rondo nails these things much better.
If only there were a truly perfect Classicvania. But I'm just glad we have what we have.
>Have you tried Rondo of Blood?
I finished dracula x recently but I've never played Rondo. I don't really have an easy way to play it

I was a kid when I played Twisted Metal 2 and I haven't had a chance to play it again. Gotta check it out again and see if I still enjoy it.
>SCIV is honestly my least favorite of the classicvanias. I've been asking people to enlighten me on what makes it so special for decades now.
The atmosphere and set direction are top notch but yeah definitely too easy. It does have a Hard mode you get from beating the game, though
