Can I get a QRD on the A press thing and the Scuttlebug thing?
Some game mechanics behave slightly different depending on if the A button is being held down, pressed or released. Some strats work by holding it down without releasing meaning if you count from the moment Mario enters the level you can count it as "half" a press because you can keep the button pressed after jumping into the painting and keep it that way for the whole level, meaning you techncially did not press the A button during it but also wasn't unpressed.
Scuttlebug is a bug (actual code bug I mean lmao) where you can manipulate its behavior and spawnpoint to raise above ground level, which he uses to place one in a specific spot to jump on to get extra height and reach a star.
I remember watching his Watch For Rolling Rocks video for the memes, and I ended up staying for the very thorough and interesting explanation on how one of the greatest video games of all time actually works on a mechanical level.
I wish every game had their own pannenkoek with how well they understand the game and how passionate they are about their workings.
His voice has some nerd sounding tone that annoys me, but the videos themselves are impecable. I read he's a college teacher of sorts and the whole SM64 stuff a side hobby he had, which would explain why he's so clear in his explanations.
I also love to see people like this for other games. I miss Stryder7x
Don't know the whole gist but his ex accused him of harasment and abuse and had actual evidence, social media did its thing and went after him and Strydar also had mentall and physicall illness of his own.
So overall a wienertail of drama and shit and the last update he psoted on his discord explained he's getting help and won't likely come back to YT content making, at least not in the close future (this was back in 2021 iirc)

I don't know if he's just gotten more confident or what, but him releasing multiple voiced videos this soon after the years of drought gives me faith that we'll be getting years of good, autistic SM64 shit again.
