1/2 to 2/3 of the base price is about the normal price for an expansion disc. You known what used to happen before DLC was a thing and people got used to getting nickel and dimed.

Swear to god the word dlc has rotted everyone's brain. Back in the day they used to be called expansions and they were generally a really good deal. Morrowind, Diablo 2, Starcraft, etc. Fricking Oblivion horse armor ruined everything.

Previous Souls DLC were very good but none was at that old Expansion level to warrant such a price.

This is how games work now. If you support it on release you're treated as some FOMO-afflicted paypiggy and everyone else gets a better Director's Cut edition down the line for a better price.

I can barely see witcher/TES influence though, ER didn't suck. TotK could've been one of the greatest DLCs, but it had to be just a good full game instead.
