surprising, I thought they were going to be individually, but I also thought they were going to be $20 apiece
why is Nintendo such israelites
This is a HD version I thought? Hence the 10$ price increase.
OY OY UPSCALING AIN'T FREE GOYIM, THAT'LL BE $10 PLUS TIP
Why so hysterical?
I think I'll buy it on steam deck
Pikmin would benefit from a Yuzu mod that makes pikmin into niggys so you can simulate slavery
Did they at least update it to Pikmin 3s visual fidelity or will I be looking at Gamecube era graphics in 1080p?
Presumably it's just a port of the Wii U port.
>30 American greenbacks for a 20 year old game
This is a joke, right?
Just emulate them on dolphin and save the money.
any word on how this controls in comparison to the wii version, never played pikmin before but I do have a homebrewed wii u on standby if pointer is that much better
No pointer controls on this. Not even an options menu really- the only thing you can change is the sound volume.
Really? In that case it's total shit and will rightfully flop.
Yup.
Wouldn't surprise me if this was just emulation with a widescreen patch applied.
They're also 30fps.
They play well with a stick, crybaby homosexuals
They played better with motion controls. I played 3DX entirely with motion controls.
I'm not arguing that, motion controls are better when done right, but the game isn't so difficult that using a stick will gimp you from playing it. They should have been included, but to skip over it just because they weren't seems drastic. I have both my copies on GC, so maybe that's why I feel how I do.
Reminds me of zoomers complaining about how “bad” the controls are for resident evil 4
There's motion, but it's hidden behind a menu only accessible in normal gameplay, and not on the main menu like where any reasonable developer would put their options.
>No pointer controls
lame
They're not even the Wii versions. They only have the shitty single analog controls from the Gamecube versions.
Wow, that's fricking lazy even for Nintendo.
physical release?
just change the region of ur account to japanese and get some eshop cards, for 30 dollars you get both games
So, GCN games on NSO never.
Good to know
There's motion controls you fricking gullible morons
Yeah, you just have to know to check the options menu while you're in game, instead of it just being there on the main menu before you begin.
>$30 for a Gamecube launch title from 22 years ago
Nintendo fans will buy anything
No 30$ for a HD port. The normal GC game would be 20$. Nintendo's pricing policy is pretty clear in that regard.
>HD port
It's emulated lol
You can clearly see the polygons that make up Olimar's head.
That has nothing to do with emulation you moron.
They clearly didn't do anything to make it "HD"
Wow, so shocking, the moron that thinks polygon count indicates emulation also doesn't know what "HD" means!
HD is referring to resolution. Objectively, the Pikmin 1 and 2 Switch releases are HD. They are in resolutions consider high, certainly a god degree higher than what they originally were on the Gamecube and Wii. Many of the textures and 2D assets were also clearly scaled up if not outright redone.
How is that what you see as an indication of emulation?
It's there, it's just hidden for some moronic reason.
Any word of a physical release?
Coming in September.
nice I’ll wait for it
NA has no mention of it, looks like only EU/JP
i don't really want both, which is the superior game?
1,but yes you DO want both you pleb
>I don’t really want both
why not
Just emulate the Wii versions.
I can't fricking believe this... You have to open the options menu... What the frick...
They knew no one would willingly buy Pikmin 2 (since it's a shit game) so they had to bundle them together to trick people. Shameful
You can still buy them separately
I'm not going to play these any time soon, so maybe I'll just wait for the physical in September
