Great coverage, every stat is great aside from speed, and has Sand Stream to gain a Sp. Def boost and give chip damage to the opponent.

      >every stat is great aside from speed
Even its speed stat is trollishly good. Base 60 is a really common tier for "stuff that's slow, but not Trick Room slow" so it outspeeds a bunch of common things like Lapras or Incineroar. Furthermore at 252 Jolly it outspeeds base positive 115s when at +1 speed, meaning a choice scarf or dd set can make it faster than most "decently fast but not stupid fast" Pokemon. Ttar really is just super min/maxed.

the type chart doesn't matter as much as you think it does. Play the game.

    The power of being Rock-Dark
    >Immune to Prankster shenanigans

      >Ridiculously good moveset
That doesn't really have anything to do with Tyranitar being Rock/Dark other than having STAB on Stone Edge and Crunch.

      >but grass-type pokémon like Meganium usually have shit movepools
That's on Game Freak, not the typing itself.

        good moveset
        Yes, it does lol.
Dark type pokemon get a lot of coverage on their moves. Sableye has a lot of moves that it doesn't actually use because of its playstyle

          Explain Absol and Mightyena then.

Tyranitar has a frickton of moves because Gamefreak just gave everything to kaijumons back in the early generations

Why the frick can he learn Ice Beam and Blizzard anyway? Makes no sense.

Of course it is quite decent, they had to reward kiddos who sticked around with one until it evolved into Ttar
