I can get where he's coming from, konami has a history of just dropping an emulator in a folder and selling it. Half the games in the castlevania collection are run through fceumm. Would not be surprised if this collection was just quicklaunch preconfigured xenia distros, lmao
Isn't it just the PS3/360 HD collection ported to PC? I'm moderately interested in vol2 when peace walker comes out, but only if it has online. Online is like 70% of that game.
Mostly because it's been proven time and time again that when the general public starts playing a series, all future entries begin to kowtow to the lowest common denominator (AKA the "wider market" AKA casuals) and completely destroy any sense of identity the games had. see:kings field, demons souls, dark souls, then dark souls 2 after dark souls 1 got popular globally.
I disagree in regards to MGS. It never suffered any sort of objective decline in quality and increase in scope until MGS5. But that also killed the series, this is clearly a toe in the water to test if the brand's shortcomings (MGS5, survive) has left the minds of the public enough to justify investing in a new entry.
IF nothing else I'm thankful kojimadrones will completely shit on this no matter what because MUH KOJIMA

Probably won't, just like on 360.
360 made you press on the dpad to lower weapons and click in the sticks for extra functions otherwise attributed to pressure sensitivity.
You have to plug in your keyboard/controller into a different port and tinker with the setting so it isn't automatically registered as prime input device.
Like on 360.
You press left analog to bring weapon up and down. You can still use Square button on single fire weapon to aim with them and shoot, but if you want to cancel shot, you can press left stick button.
Throat slit is Triangle.
>Also Psycho Mantis fight on MGS1.
There's emulation menu, where you can change controller slot.

>360 made you press on the dpad to lower weapons
Wrong. D-pad is used for "stalk mode" walking (third and slowest walking speed that is always silent, at least in 3)

I did everything in both first and third person, moron.
Did you even watch the video?
I played Snake Eater over the summer on PS2 and I could not get any pressure sensitive inputs to fricking work properly. I couldn't grab anyone without automatically slitting their fricking throats. I even downloaded a homebrew app that tests controller inputs and could see the pressure values changing and working fine, so it shouldn't be a problem with the controller. I don't know if it's something with playing off of a HDD or if I'm just doing something wrong.
There's gameplay of MGS1 on YouTube. This shit is just emulated PS1 ISOs, and badly too. I'd bet my ass that 2 and 3 aren't native 1080p either. It's honestly a frickin scam for 60$.
>I'd bet my ass that 2 and 3 aren't native 1080p either
You don't get to make bets on things we already know as a fact. 2 and 3 are 720p itnernal render with upscaled 1080p capped output.
Should I play MGS4 on PS3 or just emulate? I know Kojima likes hardware gimmicks so I dunno if there's some DUALSHOCK frickery in the game I'm supposed to experience. I have a surround sound setup too so I can experience the UNCOMPRESSED AUDIO just as Kojima envisioned, and a lot of times emulators don't handle surround sound well.
The only Sixaxis frickery is that camo reset is triggered by wiggling the controller.
Everything else can be done with analog, despite the fact the prompt can say otherwise.
bros I just want MGS4....... RPCS3 is mean to my PC 🙁
And you think a port is going to be any better?
yes
Are you stupid?

yes. im trans too.
Yes?
dumbass
There's a custom fork of RPCS3 for MGS4 that has better performance.

NO, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ANON? VTUBERS WILL PLAY IT. ZOOMERS WILL PLAY IT. I WILL NO LONGER BE SPECIAL
Who actually even thinks this? Do these gays just have alzheimers? MGS is like video game pop culture only a bar lower than Mario and Sonic.

We crossed that Rubicon a decade ago with MGS, actually 2 decades ago, this is, again, like saying NO DON'T PLAY THE MARIO!
Won't be much different this time either

You're overthinking a videogame.
MGS is one of those games ingrained in gaming pop culture, but so few people have actually played or finished them

Zoomers don't have the patience to repeatedly backtrack through these games
Yeah just how 3D mario was ruined by some lame ass cash grab collection right? RIGHT? lol
I love how when a nintendo game is successful we must celebrate it but when a different game is succesful we must doompost
I wonder how the pressure sensitive shit will work in these. Also Psycho Mantis fight on MGS1.

What version of MGS3 did you play?

Try aiming with a rifle, makes you use dpad down to lower it. Same with FPP aiming with pistols.
It's not d-pad, it's L3 button.
that RAISES it.
Now try to LOWER it, Black person.
Black person, I literally posted a webm

It's just MGS1 running through an emulator on low settings, you have an option to change the controller port.
Wait until you find out that MGS1, 2 and 3 all existed on non-Sony platforms decades ago.
Dont the PS5 and Xwiener have pressure sensitive controllers?
No. Only triggers.
you don't have to remind me, already preordered and can't wait for VOL 2
>ten second menu loading

There's an Italian schizo spreading misinformation campaign.
drk?
It's a good option for modern gamers to check the series out. On a side note, I'd like if Twin Snakes was on Volume 2. I know it's unlikely though.
for me, it's peace walker
I wonder how Zoomers will react to these games taking a huge dump all over the government.
Zoomers hate the government and the police. They also wont play this, the only people buying this are people who already playes the games.
bullshit, they all loved the vax and wore masks, their personas are moulded by the government
