Real RNG does not cleanly resolve values, that would be pseudo-RNG.
A 50% chance to miss with real RNG, means a miss could happen any number of times in a row, but successive misses beyond 2 merely becomes less likely, exponentially.
my god, modern safety laws and medicine really have kept some of the stupidest people in the gene pool. We need to send these people to Chinese factories pronto.
>flip a coin twice >get tails both times
what the FRICK!?!?!? I thought the universe was supposed to guarantee alternating heads and tails so it's always 50% when I flip an even number of times
how could this happen?!!?!?!?!?!?!
Playing spellcasters in this game is a fricking slog because of the combination of low hit chances and absurdly limited spell uses. You have to return to camp and sleep after 2 battles and its just fricking tedious. Not to mention a bunch of content is on a timer and you miss things if you rest too often, and your journal gives you no indication of when a quest is going to expire/resolve itself. Having a full martial party just spamming basic weapon attacks is the much more efficient and much more boring way to play. Adapting D&D rules 1:1 from tabletop to videogame isn't fun.
That's how probability works moron
Probability makes 50% into 0%?
>Probability makes 50% into 0%?
Yes, 25% of the time.
50% of the time it's 50% and the other 25% of the time it's 100%
Dumbass, the second one should always hit. 50% + 50% = 100%
i disabled karmic dice in bg3 and failed to hit a 50% chance spell 19 times in arow while quick saving and quick loading
Everyone on here says to turn off Karmic dice but it just makes you miss a lot more and makes battles last longer/require more resources
Look up the gambler's fallacy.
>tfw Stories:The Path of Destiny makes that a central plot point in one of the multiple endings
The MC's rival/gf even calls him out on it.
>50% chance to have sex
>try to score with 20000 women
>still a virgin
There being only 2 answers to will you have sex with me? does not mean there is an equal chance of either answer being given.
hahaha dumb Black personfrogposter moron.
>no argument
Loving every laugh, anon
The probability of two misses in a row is 1/4. Satisfied, monkey?
>white incel /misc/tard tries to do math
It's mathematically possible that you could keep missing 100% of the time for the rest of your life and begin to question your sanity.
Real RNG does not cleanly resolve values, that would be pseudo-RNG.
A 50% chance to miss with real RNG, means a miss could happen any number of times in a row, but successive misses beyond 2 merely becomes less likely, exponentially.
>99% chance to hit is actually 50% chance to hit
my god, modern safety laws and medicine really have kept some of the stupidest people in the gene pool. We need to send these people to Chinese factories pronto.
probability is fake. either something happens or it doesn't, 50/50. who are these mathematicians kidding?
Based and determinism-pilled
Determinism is one of the least based concepts in existence you fricking cuck take some accountability for your actions
But our world is kinda deterministic tho
Tendencies don't make outcomes absolute
Physics do tho
That means you're right and wrong.
Prove this wrong Ganker
probability is fake, but determinism is also fake.
Humans have ultimate will over the universe and create their own realities
Based
sauce?
absolutely would.

>65% to hit
>cast the spell 5 times
>4 misses and 1 successful attack that does the minimum possible damage
Every encounter
