I remember when I was playing this vard game called Deep Sky Derelicts, and I used this card I had on my Leader called Inspire, which has a 50% chance of buffing other party members. It rolled for each member individually so even if one didn't get buffed - the other could still get it. And since I also has a robot technician in my party, I had 7 party members total because of all the bot minions.
So I use Inspire, and not a single party member of the 6 received the buff. And then the next turn I use Inspire again, and second time in a row nobody got buffed. That's 12 failed 50% rolls in a row.

An interesting fact about paper mario TTYD:
the badge close call gives you a 33% chance to avoid an attack when in danger status. If you equip multiple of them, they each trigger a chance to dodge independently. If you equip 52 of them you can no longer get hit because while there should be an astronomically low chance of no dodge procing there is no string of 52 random numbers the game can generate that won't include a dodge procing.
The highest your luck the highest items enemy drop rates where.
At a certain level luck will guarantee an enemy item drop.
At another level it will guarantee 2 items drop...
However. Each enemy had a drop pool
The higher your luck the better percentage of the items in the pool.
Case in point skeletons dropping "blades stone"
"NORMAL LUCK" >blade stone 25% >chunk of blade stone 10% >Pure blade stone 1%
At higher levels this were your rates >blade stone 100% >chunk of blade stone 80% >Pure blade stone 25%
For some stupid logic or programming error if your level was too high guess what?

Why are people so awful at statistics? Like they literally can't wrap their heads around the very concept of it. I play tabletop games, so I've always known that people are moronic when it comes to statistics, but covid 19 really made me aware of how big of a problem it is.
