Unlike FES, reloaded is easy to the point you don't even really play it. You just mash buttons until the gameplay sequence ends and then go back to the VN parts.
One of the best main casts in the series with lackluster gameplay elements. Its one of the few games that I think would actually benefit from the modern mass remake trend, but alas atlus just had to do 3 instead

they lowered the average stats on every enemy to the point where there is just no game. battles and encounters take up time and offer nothing else.

They added stuff like Link Episodes and Theurgies, but they don't change anything too radically. At its core, any rerelease of P2 is gonna be the same. Same world, same dungeon design, same battle system, even mostly the same Persona roster.
putting out a faithful P2 Remake makes no sense tho. no one would buy it. if they add Social Links, dating mechanics, and some sort of school activities like in modern games then it has a chance to actually sell. SMTIVA added a lot of Persona elements and it sold really well tbh

Even then, I wouldn't count on it. Again, look at P3R. They were awfully insistent on keeping it "faithful" to the original game. Based on this and Maken Shao, the Atlus approach to remakes doesn't really tend to be all that extensive.
Also, actually consider what you're suggesting. The plot of Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment takes place over the course of a week. How in the frick are they supposed to squeeze in S.Links? Do you want them to completely rewrite the entire thing from the ground up?

The worst thing is realising you're not a part of the main audience anymore and the newest releases catering to the majority go against everything you hold dear in games.

I played a little bit of EP back in the day. Haven't touched Tsumi at all. What should I get, a fan-translated PS1 copy or piss-easy PSP port? Also, did PSP version of Batsu receive a fan-translation? It's just that I want to get a good replacement screen and a new battery for my old PSP-1000 and I have no idea what to play, aside from Kurohyou.

Biggest mistake Reload made was not changing the story to introduce Shinji tot he team earlier. Having him for one boss fight and a handful of Tartarus floors just isn’t enough
I dont know why they couldnt give us a way to save Shinji, even as a very convoluted way of doing it. Then just make him go into a coma or some kind of surgery procedure from the after effects of the drugs he took at the end of the story, that way it wouldn't ruin any canon with Arena
Why have any characters die then.. the whole point of the game is death. Accepting it, acknowledging it and moving on from it etc. People like you don't see to get it. Let's just rewrite the game so that Chidori, Shinjiro, and the main character don't die. Maybe we could even have an ark where we convince Takuya to join our side so he doesn't die either along with Jin. Then we can write some power of friendship bs with Ryoji so that Nyx never shows up and the game would be much better for it.

Yosuke and Chie's Shadows didn't even have their own domains, so they weren't as strong as the ones that did like Kanji and Rise.

Yes, this was my first Persona game. I'll probably play Persona 5 next.
