You don't play mgs to have "fun", you sit down and watch. What made mgs5 the worst one was its lack of kino story
>people still defend this game
Like this fricking moron, holy shit. Frick off forever you homosexual.
Ah yes, metal gear solid, the series known for its incredibly fun gameplay and amazing bosses designs.
Yes. We are talking about MGS1, are we not?
Name one (1) good boss fight in mgs1
Psycho Mantis for the design (few games have beat it)
Revolver Ocelot for the gameplay
Raven was actually quite good boss fight too
Most of them? Ocelot, Raven 1 and 2, Snipe Wolf 2, Mantis, Rex, Liquid on top of Rex. MGS1, 2 and 3 all have incredible memorable boss fights either due to character design, mission design or both. B&B unit is crap but the final fight with Ocelot is pure kino.
>B&B unit is crap but the final fight with Ocelot is pure kino.
I see this repeated sometimes and I cannot disagree more. The final fight with Ocelot is cheap fanservice like everything else in the game. It makes no sense and is not earned. It's ok without any context but with the context it's actually awful, franchise shitting moment like the entirety of MGS4.
Laughing Octopus was good
MGS V is the best game of the last 10 years
That is just sad when you really think about it.
unironically this. every single moment in this game was peak ludokino
And there's a diversity of missions. Unlike PW which had some good ones.
>people still defend this game
Indeed. MGS V broke Ganker forever.
>You don't play mgs to have "fun"
have a nice day you actual Black person.
MGS 5 is the best one because it has excellent gameplay. This series always had stupid, cringe, middle school level writing, so the "kino" story doesn't matter.
At least you are honest.
The story was the best, that's why the truth is still debated
If you didn't have fun you played it wrong
Holy shit have a nice day
And
>lack of bosses
>no interiors
>empty open world
>very easy with dumb AI
>everything interesting had already happened years ago
>tell don't show approach
inb4 it's supposed to be unfun/missing etc. these threads are always the same shit
Wick one? I don't remember having fun.
>99.9% outdoor sneaking
Why was there no love for indoor areas?
>ground zeroes
>10 missions
>they are all fun
Have 100%
Cope, seethe and dilate harder.
unfinished slop
It's not unfinished. Kingdom of the Flies was intended as DLC. All other content was cut for artistic reasons or because of hardware limitations.
>the game isn't unfinished because it was intended to be unfinished on release
lol
>It's not unfinished
>literally doesn't have a proper ending
>empty open worlds
>half-thought out mechanics that clearly didn't go through testing and reiterating
Yeah sure
>literally doesn't have a proper ending
It does. Quiet sacrifices herself to keep Venom alive proving her loyalty but you don't get the girl because of it, just another phantom pain. Skull face dies and doesn't gets the satisfaction of a proper confrontation. Venom remembers who he really is. It doesn't matter to the soldiers who he really is because he was the one there on the battlefield, not Jack. To them he is the real Big Boss, he earned it. Eli is one story thread and was always meant to be DLC.
>empty open worlds
Brain dead criticism. The mission areas range from small to large. You cross Afghanistan and Zaire to get to the mission area. These empty lands you cross are symbolic of the Moby Dick theme, hunting the leviathan and searching for meaning and purpose. Biblical Ishmael roams the desert, you the narrator/player also roam the desert. It's by design.
>These empty lands you cross are symbolic of the Moby Dick theme, hunting the leviathan and searching for meaning and purpose.
You got that wrong, there's already meaning in the hunt for Moby Dick. They are not searching for the meaning in Moby Dick.
>These empty lands you cross are symbolic
Like clockwork some Kojimbo dicksucker shows up with the usual spiel such as
>you don't understand, it's meant to be empty because vague obscure reasons that any other game would get crucified for but it's okay because it refers to the emptiness of venom's soul or somesuch other vague fricking bullshit
I have to agree with this man. I don't think there was anything symbolical of the cut content of MGS V. Especially if we remember that Konami and Kojima had a horrible fallout, Kojima was absent of the game awards and fired from the company.
>Filtered
>empty open world
I bet you gays had an aneurysm when Shadow of the Colossus released. Actually, maybe not since you weren't born yet
>it's not unfinished
>chapter 2 is 50% modifiers on old missions
>said modifiers absolutely weren't supposed to be options the player could toggle
>and they absolutely didn't just toss out the handful of missions they'd adapted for them
It's intentional. Sometimes the mission is told one way, then it's told another way. The narration is fuzzy.
What is that picture supposed to show other than 2 people with completely different facial structure
People think Skull face is an Ishmael. Which is interesting as XOF works in the background of FOX
>an Ishmael
How many Ishmaels do "people" think there are wtf
How many do you think?
They should have kept returning to Camp Omega
>Cut for artistic reasons
I bet you also are really good at lying to yourself every time your girl cheats
this game is for people who want to milsim larp but are too fat and/or autistic
I'm just here to save endangered wildlife in my personal zoo
Why Ganker hates good gameplay?
Honestly other than Quiet's breasts and cringe scenes I don't remember shit about this game.
Oh and vocal parasites. I only remember because it was so fricking moronic.
This game is great what is everyone sperging about? That its not 10 hours of cutscenes and 1 hour of gameplay?
its not about fun its about tactical espionage akshun
The fun in MGSV was posting in the threads when the game released and playing alongside your /vros/.
The real phantom pain was the /vriends/ we made along the way
the real phantom pain is the money i wasted on this game
>50 missions
>48 are filler that change nothing is you remove them
>The 2 non-fillers are the same mission
Thank you master Kojima please let me lick your dick mmhmmhhh yes you are the only one sitll making good games mmmmhmh
honestly i mostly enjoyed just wandering around fricking with people more than playing the actual missions
The hilarious part about TPP is that Kojima even wrote on twitter that he was afraid the game was "too long" before release (translation: there's too much filler bullshit) but he made it that way because of the negative reception to Ground Zeroes being so short.
Basically, Kojima took completely the wrong lessons from negative feedback of his previous work, a very recurring theme for him.
what a moron
kojimbo should have just fricked off and started writing anime stories
>Basically, Kojima took completely the wrong lessons from negative feedback of his previous work, a very recurring theme for him.
Tell me about it. If I have to speculate I would say that the lack of cinematics in MGS V is a direct answer to previous complains about MGS having way too cinematics. While this may sound good in theory the result is a disaster and most of the story is now told by tapes.
Hell, Raiden was the result of japanese girls complaining to Kojima about Snake being too old.
>I would say that the lack of cinematics in MGS V is a direct answer to previous complains about MGS having way too cinematics. While this may sound good in theory the result is a disaster and most of the story is now told by tapes.
The typical Kojima babble was back in full force in Death Stranding, easily his worst since MGS4. Feels like he just jumps from one extreme to another.
>The typical Kojima babble was back in full force in Death Stranding, easily his worst since MGS4.
I did not bought Death Stranding, but I heard the last part of the game was unbearable boring.
People with ADHD tend to get filtered by it, yes
>buy a video game, expecting a video game
>get a movie
>y-you got filtered
kojima doesn't even know you exist
Kojima is a genius
They're all fun except the repeat final mission
Almost all of them are """fun""".
I recently completed MGSurvive and liked it :3
skull face emoji
That's the one about the survivors of Mother Base, right?
I always thought adding back the stamina bar was a cool idea.
>that mission where you rescue the niglet from the parasite facility
>sneaking up to the location, think I'm in for some Snake Eater kino
>get there, no guards, place is totally deserted
>"boss fight" is to splash water on fire Volgin and run in circles until your chopper arrives
All of Africa was dogshit and a total disappointment aside from blowing up the oil tanks and killing the drug dealer at the airport.
>think I'm in for some Snake Eater kino
Even the bandana looks bad.
>50 "story" missions
>most of them are "ride horse for 5 minutes, grab a pow (who you'll literally never see again afterwards), call pequod
>the story actually happens in loading screen monologues and tapes without your involvement
Pick your favorites
Hellbound, Voices, Shining Lights were good for story. Replay I just want to go to a big base
Only one I remember slightly enjoying is the xof base right before the metal gear fight. Other than that, the rest are kinda boring and uninspired. This game suffers a lot from that honestly
None of you people have been out in a desert and it shows.
