There is a reason that the Series X only has 802 GB of usable space on its SSD compared to 920+ GB of usable space on a comparable nvme drive with W10/W11 installed.
Some of that unusable space is reserved for memory paging, and that space is where games are stored in their quick resume mode, which is why quick resume is limited to a specific number of games.
It works exactly the same as storing a game in virtual memory on a PC, where in its suspended state it does not use GPU resources and uses minimal CPU resources.
Which isn't alt tabbing and minimizing programs you dumbass. Minimizing MKX and noticing it's still using my CPU isn't the same thing as utilizing virtual memory, which is still more error-prone on PC anyways. Otherwise Playnite wouldn't be a piece of rancid ass to use since that's exactly how it works.

Great console, had mine since launch and have enjoyed every time I've used it which is most days. Games are great, controller is great, 3D audio is great and overall I'm enjoying it a lot. Other than the Rare Replay Collection and some Forza Horizon I rarely use my Series X because the games just aren't there. Atmos is nice on the Xbox though I will say that, I do wish Sony had gone for it as well as their own solution.

I've almost exclusively played PS4 content on my PS5.
The extra speed, better framerates and nicer controller have made it all worthwhile so far. The only game I've played where I couldn't play a PS4 alternative has been Ratchet and Clank, and that wasn't even really worth it.

Managed to get one at msrp directly from sony. Have to say it's actually far better than the ps4 in almost every way, but admittedly you'll mostly be playing ps4 games and ocasionally enjoying an enhanced version of newer games that release on both. Definitely worth it if you really like the ps4.

I have a QN90A and I watched several 4k HDR movies on my xcope series s as a 4k bluray player hoping that the HDR meme wasn't just a meme
it was objectively worse to watch movies with HDR enabled, it was either way too bright or way too dark, massive issues with subtitles being too bright. I can't imagine games would fare much better.
You not knowing how to adjust HDR settings on a display is anecdotal and has no bearing on HDR10 and up just being better for HDR content.

I'm sorry but playstation was never good. Psx lost against the superior n64. Ps2 was shit compared to xbox and game cube. Xbox 360 and wii had far better libraries than ps3. And the Nintendo switch literally destroyed xbox Sony and pcgaming this generation
