Wow. For only about $1500 you can play a cheaper than PC alternative all year long !!!
For the gamers

I honestly don’t understand what the suits at sony are thinking. Haven’t owned a playstation since the PS2, already saw the writing on the wall with the PS3.
Probably recognizing that they have a cult like fanbase and can get away with it.
Their goal is to be the next apple. Don't be shocked when next console is at least $1k like the newest iPhones.
They abandoned you and started targeting customers who will buy literally anything
Jaydub is one of the biggest Snoy Black person I ever seen in that website.
Jesus Christ
These guys are just as bad as apple fanatics
I have owned every PlayStation. O honestly wish I switched to PC in 2012 and never snagged a PS4
>honestly wish I switched to PC in 2012 and never snagged a PS4
I gave mine away to a friend because his broke and mine was just collecting dust. I only used it as a BloodborneStation. Didn't have any stuttering or frame-pacing issues beyond the limited framerate, because after I bought it I immediately ripped out it's original HDD and replaced it with a 7200RPM drive. My friend is using it to tide him over until he can get a PC and we can share pawns in Dragon's Dogma II.
Consoomers have already demonstrated that no price is too high for them. The higher it is, the more they want it because it shows their status as someone who gets the expensive toys.
But they'll never get PC because it's too expensive according to them lmao
PCs are just not an appealing product. The PS5 is.
Exactly! The PS5 has great exclusives like... uh...
Demon's Souls Remake
The only PS5 game is a remake of a 15 year old game that's worse than the original (which a PC can emulate at 4K 60 FPS)
It's objectively better in every single way.
The art direction is butchered and visuals were the only justification for remaking Demon's Soul.
The music sucks too. They ruined Maiden Astraea’s theme.
You don’t understand. They (American Black folks) don’t care about anything except the latest NBA and COD. It’s the fact that the item itself is in high demand is what makes it attractive to them.
You could give them a free choice between a $2,000 custom PC and a $500 PS5 and they’d choose the PS5 every time
the sad part is that the high colume of PS5 sales among Black folks and browns for sportslop gives off the illusion that the ps5 is a successful console, which leads devs into making exclusivity deals with snoy thinking it's a safe bet, but their games are doomed to failure because only browns own a ps5 and they only play sporties and shooties.
PS5 has couch MP FIFA, PC doesn't
it's literally do everything machine ,one that you can constantly upgrade and repair
consoles gamers don't do everything though. they just pay for the games they've always played. any computing they need in their life is done on their phone, like a child.
PC's are redundant and will be phased out. Seethe and cope.
People get gaming systems……to game? Woah wtf I’m such a superior specimen of human I get so much pussy guys
I the PS5 for all them exclusives like Demon's Souls Remake, Spiderman 2, the list goes on
how much did the demon's souls remake sell compared to elden ring on the PS5 alone anyways?
PS3 was an appealing product, ps4 was a big maybe but ps5 isn't
You'd think that you would have given up after your first shitty attempt got no (you)'s
>not appealing
>endless games, movies, shows and music all for free
>games run better and higher resolutions outside some outliers
That's just a roundabout way of saying your stupid. Lmao
Most people aren't cybertheives who need a 3 foot tall 75 pound space heater to do everything a phone can do but more expensive.
Phone? You mean the 6 to 8 inch screen you have to touch and drag to do anything? I enjoyed Eternium for a little bit but I got tired of the interface. There's a reason they're making a PC port. I bet you think Raid is revolutionary, when it's Ogre Battle 3d with Xenosaga graphics.
Component prices are fricked and probably will be forever but it's still a better value than consoles, and I say that as a cheap bastard. Piracy is also significantly easier on PC so you're saving money there as well
the game price (or lack thereof) is the most important factor for me. ive only spent more than 25 on a game in the last 10 years and that was sekiro
Both consoles and PCs are expensive, I think normies just perfer the plug and play aspect of a console. They get worried about having to "learn" how to use a computer. Personally, I never had an issue with mine and love tinkering around with it on occasion, but my sister and a few of my friends must be morons because they're always calling on me to help them set things up or install some software, or a game since I convinced them to get a PC. I don't understtand their struggle, it's straightforward as frick.
You gotta be semi shut-in autist to be adept at PC shit. Those girls just wanted to play fricking zelda or Sims or animal crossing or some shit for an hour before running off out the door to frick a random Chad for a night. The funds for a fully fledged PC is wasted on them. You should try and sell it, get em a ps5 or switch and use the excess cash to go towards a better monitor or speaker system for yourself.
And that's a GOOD thing.
The problem though is that more and more people are getting into PC gaming. In another decade It's going to overtake consoles in popularity, flat out. Every one of my coworker's kids want a PC, whether child or teenager, they all want one now.
And that's a bad thing not because of some sekrit club or anything like that, but because we already see how hard Nvidia israelites the frick out of the market right now.
Give them a higher demand and they're going to take us for all we're worth. AMD too.
A pc doesnt show its cost at a glance, so its not as much of a status symbol to them.
A ps5 has a set price, so one knows what its "value" is immediately
What is the point in spending $80 for a disc drive when the model that includes the drive is just $50 more?
What is the point of spending money on a disc drive when the game is neither played from the disc nor even fully included on the disc? I guess if you have shitty internet it let's you play the start of a game faster, but then you're still stuck waiting for the rest to download on your shitty network.
games are fully on the disk in 99.99% of cases. stop with the myth bullshit
I'm just butthurt because I recently bought Nier RepliCant and Automata. The PS3 version was entirely on the disk, but i had to fricking wait to download the rest if the game for PS4.
Just release exclusively digital if the disc is mostly just going to be a license.
Why would you buy the worst console version of Automata?
Because I got both for $30 and the PC version leaves a bitter taste in my mouth coupled with a sense or paranoia that it will crash even though it's long since been fixed. Also because I'm not moronic enough to buy MS consoles.
>implying the Switch version isn't worse
>but i had to fricking wait to download the rest if the game for PS4.
what.
https://www.doesitplay.org/game/NieR%20Replicant/ps4?region=ESRB
Liar.
That's some bullshit because I definitely had to sit on the main menu while it downloaded 10 more gb from the internet. Maybe it just took it from online because my internet speed was faster than the disc reader or some shit.
No, what you experienced was probably a software patch. One that isn't necessary to finish the game, probably fixes a few minor glitches. If your interest wasn't on, you would have been able to play the game after installation just fine.
The game literally can't go beyond the main menu until it installs the last 10gb. It's like how in Automata you can play up until the bunker until you have to let the rest of the game install.
Both games use the internet for those downloads as long as it has a connection. Some people find that it goes faster to just disable their internet and force the game to install the rest from the disc.
Having said that, there are something like 20+ games that lock content behind going online and downloading them. Miles Morales won't have NG+ (on PS4). Then you have shit like Hogwarts Legacy that is literally unplayable without downloading the rest of the game from the internet. I want to say AC Valhalla is the same way but I can't remember if they actually did that or if it was just pre-launch speculation.
>i had to fricking wait to download the rest if the game for PS4.
that's an update moron.
It's not and you can do a quick search online to check if you don't believe me.
If you buy the disc for RepliCant, you will get stuck in the main menu until it downloads the rest of the game. An update would make you reset the software that is not the case for RepliCant. You can boot the game, but you won't even be given the option to start playing. You also don't have any sort of option to reject it like you would an update. You aren't even told what is happening.
For Automata, you can clear the first chapter, but then you have to wait for the download to complete before you can move on.
Neither of these are "updates", "moron".
Sure, but PS5 installs every single game before letting you play, even ps4 games. I know, I have one and I regret buying it.
Then why do I need to wait for the game to fully download onto the system yet I also need the disc to actually play the game? Sony's logic makes no sense.
unfortunately no, modern games need updates and crap. so you can buy disk and than wait for 700gb patch download
Already been disproven myth from Xbox marketers pivoting to digital only.
Less a myth and more the new DRM.
You're right. I love not having a physical copy that will always be available, even 15-20 years from now when Sony inevitably turns its PS5 servers off, rendering the games that people only licensed as a digital download literally unplayable.
I wish all of the SNES and N64 games I played as a kid were DRM-protected digital only so they would now be literally unplayable all these years later. Preserving my games for the long haul sucks ass!
(You're a huge homosexual.)
>he doesn't know
Have fun playing the first portion of your disc based games when the servers go offline and wondering why you can't play beyond the first area.
https://www.doesitplay.org/
Yes, this is a huge problem. But it's also a terrible argument against buying physical. By and large most games work out of the box for PS5 -- all 10 games I own work are on the "yes" list.
And, what, your argument is that you might as well accept this shitty thing for all of your games by going digital because a tiny number of physical games have that shitty thing? That is absolutely moronic and 100% the kind of argument a huge homosexual would make.
There are games that can fit entirely on the disc and still require an online download. You're delusional if you don't realize that this is becoming the new anti-piracy measure.
15-20 years from now there's a better chance you'll be playing digital dumps of the game just like everyone else.
Do consoleBlack folk not have access to backups?
Also funny how the only argument physgays have is assumption that any and all digital downloads are DRM-infested
>What is the point of spending money on a disc drive when the game is neither played from the disc nor even fully included on the disc? I guess if you have shitty internet it let's you play the start of a game faster, but then you're still stuck waiting for the rest to download on your shitty network.
Very wrong. You are Microsoft's favorite little customer, the imbecile zoomer. Games these days come from 10GB-100GB with 1TB average a gamer has on console. You are going to be redownloading games nonstop if have more than 5 games. Physical prevents that massive download wait time. Overwhelmingly all single player games today are on the disc, the exception, is Microsoft consoles. Nintendo Switch and PS4/PS5 do not have this issue, it is Microsoft's customers who eat the dogshit of getting unlock keys as the new normal for their dying brand of a platform.
But to you who is hooked up rental SlopPass who plays games a service multiplayer slop nonstop, you really are mindbroken into thinking digital is de-facto. I can sell my physical games, I can install a game faster since the data is on the disc and not on the internet, and I get many options of where to buy from instead of a singular store or rental SlopPass.
Oink oink little Xbox Series S SlopPass owner, keep paying for things you don't own. The Playstation Store and Nintendo Switch eShop could go down today or tomorrow and it wouldn't affect us at all, but you Xbox SlopPass homosexuals would be drowning.
So what poor gay I get 1Gbps down games download in 15 minutes flat
Irrelevant, I won the argument. Xbox, the dying platform that lost 3 console generations in a row, is pivoting towards making games into a rent membership program. Microsoft's games are the only ones who have the massive issue of not having the games on the disc anymore, let alone having physical releases of multiplatform games. Microsoft's FTC leaks prove they're way more interested in SlopPass and making consoles all digital full stop. Nintendo's physical games are selling so well that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has outsold every Microsoft 1st party game combined from last Xbone gen and this Series S Redeemer Slop Pass generation.
Who cares poor gay maybe buy some Microsoft stock
It's over. https://wccftech.com/microsoft-may-exit-gaming-business-if-game-pass-subscribers-off-console-dont-increase-enough-by-2027/
Listen champ I've never bought an xbox console because I never thought the exclusives were good. I've paid 1 buck for gamespass tons of times to play a few games. As far as I'm concerned the whole industry can go to zero and we'd all be better for it. There's been about 5 decent games since 2007
>I wasted my limited time on Earth consuming SlopPass
Yikes.
NTA but they spend their time playing video games and you spend it trying to make fun of them with buzzwords, they’re clearly better off than you.
What 5 games
>There's been about 5 decent games since 2007
Why are you here? Frick off
skill issue
I don't think I have ever received a reply that was ever this completely disconnected from my post before.
>$600 a year for online
so less than nintendo than
I hope you ask for rent with all that space nintendo is taking up your head homie.
there are no people (except for Black folk) who pay to be allowed to use their own internet, are there?
CoD and Spiderman 2 means that PS5 is going to be HUGE this Holiday
COD comes out literally every single year since 2003. Why would it make a difference now?
All that cod money directly funding xbox hahahahah
HAHAHAHAHAHA SO FUNNEH!!! SO EPIC!! FOR THE LULZ!!!! HAHAHAH A
Why are you so mad? Not enough attention irl?
You can buy a PS5 with 2 years of premium giving you access to 700 games and online for £550. How can steam compete? No wonder PS5 will 150 million
>forced to use a single store front
>have to keep paying monthly forever
Now that's value.
I paid like $10 and so far this month, 11 days in I have beaten Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, and right now I'm playing South Park stick of truth and the fractured but whole. After that I'll beat Ghost of Tsushima directors cut and Dragon Ball FighterZ
how is that not good value? I may get it for 2 or 3 months and go through their whole catalogue. I still have Spider-Man 1 and I'll be playing that when Spider-Man 2 drops. Since Miles Morales was so good.
Yeah frick the haters. We eating. I played BG3 all of September and I still havent even beat AC6 yet.
>Steam
>Not emulating every single console up to the 7th gen
I knew sonytards where stupid but damn you are something else.
>$600 a year for online
That's not right.
>$600 a year for online
Liar liar pants on fire
The drive version looks like some tumor attached to the base system
>PCgay resorts to blatant lying to justify his overpriced Chinese graphics card that he uses to play visual novels and crappy console ports
sigh, many such cases…SAD!
>$600 a year for online
moron
Just buy the disc system for $500 and put it horizontal you fricking moron. PS+ essential for $80 a year. $70 per game if you want to buy on launch, which is a value proposition for individuals to decide per title. Still cheaper and better experience than PC gaming and the hardware bullshit.
>"Buh buh buht you can build a PS5 performance rig for under $500!"
No you can't, accounting for all the hardware and software you need if making a fully functional rig from scrath, you disingenous moron.
>Still cheaper and better experience than PC gaming and the hardware bullshit.
I got a brand new PC with a 3080 for $750 on sale, it doesn't cost extra for internet past my actual ISP service, and all the games are free :^)
cool story, now what wasn't included and/or was cheap chinkshit you're going to have to replace within 2 years?
It was a pre-built MSI lmao. made in taiwan like literally every other computer part.
If I d have a PS5:
1. Digital - 400 euro
2. No online (waste of time). I play only a few sp titles
3. Buy games on sale just like on Steam.
Profit ? To me it seems like a better price/performance deal than a nerd power station Pc
Just get a disc system, only 50 more euro, and allows you to ebay second hand so you'll make that 50 euro back.
Im planning to get one next year, maybe will be even cheaper by then. I dont like discs in general and id be too lazy to sell them anyway
Don't, pro will be out late Q3 early Q4 2024 according to some leaks
Only real argument to get a pro would be serious performance upgrades - stable 60 fps for all games without quality compromises. If its just slimmer and few gimmicks +100$ Im sticking with og PS5
Leaks say it may be 2x the horsepower of the og PS5, so it'll likely be worthwhile assumeing it isn't like 800 dollars +
Too bad the included controller has its left stick in the wrong location.
Wheres the pro dammit! I wanna play games at 60fps locked with 1440p or even 4k, I'm sick of choosing between resolution and framerate.
Get a PC, even a mediocre PC is way ahead of a PS5
Tbh one of the single biggest reasons I don't play big budget games on PC is because there is almost always something wrong that needs at minimum an hour of searching random forums and tinkering with file directories on the PC and installing new shit with fingers crossed that this random fix will work with your random assortment of PC parts. For small indie games that can run on a toaster it's fine but for big complex video games it's just too much hassle. I was playing rdr2 flawlessly day one, whereas my brother had a littany of bugs and visual hiccups that didn't get patched for months after it launched on PC. This is a typical experience for me trying to use a PC for gaming. As such , I've only got maybe a handful of hours in a week to steal away for myself to play Vidya and when I sit down and power up my device i expect it to play instantly without fail every time. Imagine if your car only started up reliably 8 times out of 10 and those two other times you had to troubleshoot. That car brand would be vilified the world over, yet that is the typical PC experience. It's consoles for me, a team of nerds get paid weeks prior to do all the troubleshooting for me for free. I haven't the time or the patience to do that for something that is supposed to be fun and entertaining.
PC gaming is for people that want to frick around with shit other than playing games for hours on end. I know because I bought into the meme in the past and built my own PC. It was a neat hobby, but not something you do just if you want to play video games. When that build aged out and my upgrade paths dried out I decided never to go back. I actually took time to look into how many hours I played on PC compared to console and it was shocking how little time I playing on PC because of all the fiddling and fricking around. Whereas on console even a 2D platformer was getting playing for forty plus hours because it just worked when I was ready to sit down.
The only reason I bother to game on PC is that all my old friends I went to college with refuse to buy consoles. I have a Series S, A Switch and a PS5 and a PC but I wish my friends would just get consoles as I dont like the hassle of PC gaming.
I have had zero problems gaming on a computer unless it was adapting old games to a new OS or hardware. We're talking before current Steam versions of old games, like pirated Morrowind back in 2010 on a Windows 7 machine.
Good thing you came to your senses, and left. I wish the rest of the scum like yourself had as much wherewithal.
t. literally moronic homosexual
>microstutters on your $800 card
Nothing personal
Kek, that kinda shit would drive me schizo
Happens to me, I literally only play on Switch and ps5 now because I already work 40 hrs a week, cook and help my gf do the dishes/clothes I'm not gonna spend the 2 free hours I have in the evening troubleshooting my pc.
>1440p or even 4k
Who's gonna tell him?
it looks like shit
shut up xrajeesh you are forcing it too much
nobody in america cares because we have money
Is the removable disc drive due to reliability issues? the first PS5 I owned had to be replaced after just over a year because the disc drive started making a clicking sound and not doing anything.
>the first PS5 I owned had to be replaced after just over a year because the disc drive started making a clicking sound and not doing anything.
That's why the PS5 is even selling at all? People keep rebuying since the hardware keeps breaking down all the time.
Amazon replaced it even though it was just outside warranty. I contacted Sony to try to get it replaced first and they were very evasive.
Sorry I meant I contacted Sony to try to get it repaired. I was offering to pay for the repair and they still weren't very helpful.
Most people just stop getting disc based games instead of buying a whole new console to replace a disc drive.
It's for cost, that way they can manufacture a single model but keep the physical only market, and they're very obviously dumping the extra cost on everyone buying the digital only model
I had the PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP and PS4 but still haven't bothered to het the PS5. Just seems like theres hardly any games. For reference in the PS360 gen I played like 300 games but in the PS4 gen I only played about 30 or 40 games. The only games in 2024 I care about are FF7 Rebirth and Dragons Dogma 2.
>Disc version is very obviously the more desirable model and the best overall cost wise
>Will sell out instantly
>People will be forced to buy digital + disc drive for 30$ more
This is almost evil
Why would anyone buy the disc version when it has no games?
Only reason to buy this shit is to play the PS4 library digitally with better framerates
Because they're moronic brand loyalists, they're going to gobble this up just like they did with their moronic portable screen
I got the disc PS5 because I had PS4 discs and wanted to get rid of my PS4. It works out because now my PS4 games get the boost they would have gotten from the PS4 Pro and I can get the handful of PS5 exclusives I wanted.
Which I think at this point I could just get them on PC, but it made sense at the time.
I'm going to end up buying the digital one in Feb 2024 for FF7 Rebirth.
>£415 ($510) for the console (disc ver), stand, plus controller
>£84 ($100) for online for a year, plus those games you get with it
It's not that expensive to be honest, the only issue is that most new games are also releasing on PS4 so there's no reason to get one unless you wanted what's essentially a PS4 Pro Pro. Most people will stick to their PS4 if all they're going to get with a PS5 is a performance boost. And PS+ is a bit of a joke, the monthly games at the moment are
>The Callisto Protocol
>Farming Simulator 2022
>Weird West
Nothing to write home about. The preimum editions might have large libraries, potentially enticing for new players, but people who're going from PS4 to PS5 would have likely played the good ones already. There's nothing particularly new in there, unlike Xbox Game Pass where you get access to a lot of new releases if subscribed.
>> $600 a year for online
Stopped reading there, you are a lying Black person
What's the point of always showing your console in vertical mode when stand is sold separately
The only time i remember it placed horizontally was the day 1 when it was revealed not a single promo image since then
to make people buy the stand?
>$600 a year for online
do snoys really
My ps5 is a single player box, online not needed. Cod kiddies are another story though.
>That'll be $550 + tax
most of the time it's 500. during black Friday it will fall to 450. you don't need a stand. you can still play all the major online games like genshin, apex, fortnite, ff xiv without subscription. most importantly for physical games it's inevitable that the price will go down (unless it's nintendo where they control the supply). physical is the biggest advantage of a console and gaming in general. no one realized that the fact that you can turn an all digital console into a physical means all only digital failed.
Snoys will try to justify paying for online features, lmao.
When the system has so much going against it, why do people make stuff up? Is it some sort of false flag?
r8 my $800 pc I got a few months ago
already miles better than brownstation5
how can sonybros even compete
PC doesn't have any exclusives.
This is becoming oddly true. I can't think of any game I play on PC at this point that isn't also on console aside from uncensored hentai games.
There is no mainstream use for computers anymore. Laptop killed the desktop, and smart phones killed the laptop. The only people still using desktops are people with a very specific use case like 3d modeling and games. The only people using laptops are students.
Finding an adult using a laptop outside of their job today is like seeing someone use a PDA in the late 90s and early 00s.
>Finding an adult using a laptop outside of their job today is like seeing someone use a PDA in the late 90s and early 00s.
I dunno if its that tier yet. I see people in coffee shops using their laptops.
Those are students and people that do remote/hybrid work. They are a drastic minority as are people that actually sit inside coffee shops in general.
It's not. This is some weird zoomer pipedream of a world with only smartphones. They can't conceive of human beings that actually do not own or use a smartphone.
Do people truly want to game on their phones? I know mobile games are a thing but why would anyone want to play real games past certain emulation on a fricking phone? Soulslikes and metroidvanias? FPS? I wouldn't even bother.
None of my kids play anything but minecraft and roblox. Meanwhile zoomers mostly play gacha trash.
Video games as we know it will legitimately die out because kids legitimately have no real interest in them. PS5 just added Roblox so maybe that will help bridge some kids over. It's already the number 1 game on Xbox.
>PC doesn't have any exclusives.
same with the PS5 lmao, at least you can still play niche shit like total war & crusader kings better than the console versions
PS5 has better exclusives and a higher quantity than them. We get Spider-Man 2 soon. What do you have again? Oh wait, nothing. We have Demon's Souls, FF16, and other exclusives to PS4/PS5 meanwhile the PC has what again? Besides cheaters that is. We all know you game on PC to use cheats. homosexual.
>Demon's Souls
a remake of a PS3 game that you can play on PC and isn't anywhere near as good as some of the later fromsoftware games
>FF16
an 87% game that everyone other than hardcore snoygros forgot about which is coming to PC
>and other exclusives to PS4/PS5
lmao having to throw PS4 in there because PS5 has frick all else, name me some current gen games that you can't play on PC
spiderman 2 will come to PC eventually and get exposed for being average at best like the original was and is gonna get mogged by another mario game anyways
Ps5 seems like a great option since you can play 5€ used ps4 games, that's a big library
Still better and more exclusives than the PC has. You're still begging for Bloodborne. Stupid PCgay. Also I paid $350 for my PS5. Touch grass incel.
bloodborne is a ps4 game. we are talking about the ps5.
Actually I'm talking about all the great games the PlayStation has that the PC doesn't. The PC has no good games.
All the great playstation games are from over 10 years ago. You know, when consoles were good.
"Great" is subjective, and the masses (as proven by review scores) have proven that the PlayStation, whether it be the 4 or 5, has great games that the PC does not. Name 3 PC exclusives that aren't free-to-play shit, LiveService shit, or indie shit. You can't.
Half Life Alyx, Baldur's Gate 3 and this
BG3 is on PS5
So you'll denigrate Demon's Souls, FF16, Bloodborne, etc and then you'll use trash like Half Life Alyx as proof of anything? LMAO
You're a joke. moron.
sour grapes. imagine having TWO different VR platforms and neither have the best VR game by far.
PSVR is better. Seethe and cope. Nintendo and Xbox don't even have VR. PlayStation has it all.
Stupid indie shit playing, third world dwelling moron
RE8 VR is far better than HLA. I'm sure the same will apply to RE4R.
I just want to build a vr paradise that has a basketball court sized room so I don't need to teleport around.
Cope. You will NEVER play Get in the Car Loser.
>purposely ugly art
the worst
Imagine being proud to pay for and play a game that looks like Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom on PC.
>Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom
Kino
It was weird but interesting. On NES.
I enjoyed watching arino play it
>half life
>trash
how new?
I'll give you Half Life: Alyx
that's one game. One.
Ps5 had six exclusives for two years, and I own one. It was a rough time. we're getting spider-man and shit but man it was not fun for the first year and a half.
six games exclusive to ps5 that were not on ps4
not six exclusives to sony my bad.
Then you play too many games. Lots of PS4 games got free upgrades or cheap upgrades that are worth playing. Your argument is simply a personal non-argument.
agreed, ps5 is a great console for people who don't play games.
If you played everything that playstation has to offer, then you quite literally need to touch grass. Thousands of games. Seethe and cope.
BG3 is on PS5
Half Life Alyx is a shit game
and I said no India shit
you lost. PS5 is the better platform with better exclusives. Now go lay down near your dish and lick your wounds like the b***h you are
>is gonna get mogged by another mario game anyways
exposed as tendie
>PS5 has better exclusives and a higher quantity than them.
Bait post
This is bait.
>the baiters get baited
we can't all have 142 I.Q.
Why would you spend $800 on something worse than the steam deck
Bait or moronic.
>12 gb vram
atleat it'll be future proof for this gen
A good start, anon. Although I'd recommend you get a different PSU (when you need to) from Seasonic or Corsair, and one that's 1000W. Would recommend EVGA as well, but they seem to be ramping down the company, so they're unfortunately not a great choice anymore.
Also, two sticks of RAM perform better and are often cheaper than four, unless you really need the capacity.
$600/year for online? It's $120/year.
I will never fricking understand how sony and Microsoft convinced everyone that paying to use your existing Internet was fine what the frick
You aren't paying to use your existing internet, you're paying for their servers you dumb frick. Just like developers on PC have to pay Steam to use their servers, that cost gets offloaded to you in some form (plethora of microtransactions for example).
>you're paying for their servers
>games are still $70 with tons of microtransactions anyways with sony/MS taking a 30% cut from everything but steam gets more shit for doing it
what a joke
quints of truth
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would gladly return to P2P online play.
a lot of games are still P2P but you still pay for the privilege
nvidia and amd are still the ones making console gpus too so it doesn't change much
What are people even playing? The last good multiplayer video game was tf2
50% of systems are sold exclusively to play CoD/Sports
No kick stand
Offline gaming only
Bargain bin and used games only for 15€ each
Still cheaper than a single modern gpu
Why the frick are people talking about exclusives in 2023? You seriously don't buy an expensive piece of hardware to pay their vendor locked games right?
>every Sony game is story based or open world
>Gran Turismo is shit now
>Total War is shit now
>Command and Conquer is dead
>etc
I really wouldn't worry arguing about exclusives lads because there's nothing any but <5% of players wants to play
Anything good on PC is on PS5 and a PS5 plays games as good as a $2,000 PC
Why would you buy digital + disc drive instead of just buying the one with the disc drive in the first place?
I'll be buying the digital only machine as its 100 Euro cheaper and I only want to play FF7 Rebirth. I wont be buying the external drive at all though.
Goyim can't do math so they'll never realize this.
I haven't paid for online since Bloodborne and buy many games used. I think it's telling that PCzooms think buying digital full-price and NEEDING access to online is mandatory or ideal.
Controllers are cozier. If i'm not going to use a mouse and keyboard literally why would I get a PC.
>$600 a year for online.
lol lmao
it's a joke you moronic zoomer
Whatever you say moron. Aren't jokes supposed to be funny?
Yes, it was. I laughed because it didn't personally offend me.
Are you a legit schizo though? wtf do you think this is supposed to prove in this post?
Proves that your moronic "joke" goes over people's heads because it's not good. Clearly you're too stupid to pick up on the simplest of hints as well.
See? Not a good joke. Stupid fricker.
Who plays online games except zoomers? Every game I played this year was a AAA single player game
Wow only $1500? Let me break out the checkbook.
>checkbook
ok boomer
There's no way all of these morons ITT not noticing
>$600 for online
is organic. OP is samegayging.
hmmm i wonder why it isnt cheaper
pandemic years.
Inflation has always existed yet consoles have always previously rapidly declined in price.
because inflation is usually kept at ~2% a year and the cost of manufacturing typically goes down significantly with advancements in fabrication. inflation has been way way higher than that since the start of covid and supply chain issues mean costs haven't declined as much. thats why shit's expensive.
PS3 launched at $499. I bought it for $300 two years later.
PS4 launched at $399. I bought 1Tb version in a bundle with Nathan Drake collection for $425.
Meanwhile PS5 sits at $499 almost four years after release with no games lmao
I got a used PS5 for $350
>used
I don't want some nerd's sloppy seconds
>playstation console revision is worse than the launch model
every time
nah, this is the first time.
they remove features every time they revision a console
Can't say I'm upset about losing the PS1 parallel port or the PS2 hard drive.
ps1 lost direct rca out making it a slightly worse sounding cd player
Oh boy oh boy!
I love how the cd playstation looks like it has a fricking tumor growing on it
So uhh no pro?
Nobody wants to buy an $800 playstation.
I don't think I'd buy a $200 playstation
Welfare never runs out.
nov 2024
Meanwhile the electricity bill after using a PC
oh frick 70 BUCKS MORE A YEAR? im bankrupt!
have a nice day honestly
That was calculated for just 5 hours a day, PC losers like yourself use your PC 10+ hours a day
>Consoles suck so much their own fans don't like playing for extended periods of time
lmao
PlayStation players have a life and jobs and aren't terminally online like PC gamers
>PC Gamers don't have job
>bitches about a 70 dollar per year increase to electricity
lmao
Yeah, typically PC gamers don't have jobs, are virgins, etc
Console gamers are regular people. You've never even had sex.
PC farts don't play games tho, they spend most of their time on image boards trying to convince others to think like them and get angry when they dont, like vegans or atheists
he says, whilst on the same image board doing the same thing
Cause im a PC NEET moron
>70 bucks more a year
hey that's how much consolecucks pay to use their own internet lmao
you can use less power if you wanted to too
it's nice to have the option eh
There is another option of tossing the PC in the bin and saving more power, i love options!
holy cope
>said the guy coping about high electricity costs of PC by saying use less power which is a worse experience
LOL
Stop being so fricking poor.
It sounds pitiful worrying about a $$$ that equates to dinner.
Im not poor thats why i play on console
>$600 a year for online
Black person what?
>moron says online cost as much as the console every year
>somehow the thread still up and people are seriously replying
kek just how much of a seething tendies are you homosexuals
What the frick are you talking about you dumb c**t. Can't afford 500 bucks every 8 years LMAOOOOO Ganker poor gays seething at Chads with every console every game I've got wiiu games factory sealed because I bought them and never played em meanwhile you kids are crying
I wish games cost 1000 usd each can you imagine the golden age of gaming it would usher.
I'd get a digital only just to finally have a next-gen system but is there anything I can play on PS5 that I can't play on Xbox/PC? Been thinking of getting a Steam Deck.
consoles are for poor while ps5 are too expensive . what was verdict of /v on this?
Where are you getting 600 a year from?
Guessing psn but even then no one smart is buying that once a month, I just get the half off deal in November that’s normally like 30~50 depending on were you buy it from.
Why did they make it just as ugly as the original? I wish they just made it look like ps4 pro or something
The rule of thumb for buying a console has always been if the sum total MSRP of its exclusives equals or exceeds the MSRP of the console.
The only console worth buying this gen or last is unfortunately the Switch.
Switch games play better on emulator than they do on OEM, therefore no console is worth buying
Unfortunately, you can't emulate netplay with other people who actually bought one.
And the sum total of games with netplay also exceeds the Switch's MSRP.
When will PC autistic weirdos get it that people just don't want a PC because they actually frick?
Why would I want some little autistic pc "gaming rig" with a desk, chair etc in the middle of my house it just screams freak.
At my college all the normal people and shaggers go home and jump on the couch and game with their boys, while all the nasally freaks and outcasts have a PC for gaming
A lot of people on Ganker seems to forget normal gays just wants something that’s plug and play, they do not care that pc has all the games.
You can set your pc up however you want. The truth is you like getting shagged by Bill Gates and the CEO of Sony so you stick to console
I think Ryujinx has online?
Do you think normalgays care about that? Do you think they have the time or patience to do that?
>buying modern consoles
>playing modern goyslop
Now that’s a laugh
modern playstation makes me sad
Fresh reminder that an Xbox can play mroe Playstation exclusives than a PS5
This entire "PC" master race thing by nerds on here is actually starting to get boring. I have had a high end of and I have had a Xbox One and having an Xbox One is so much better.
>PC
Has a couple games that are exclusive like Total War and uhhhhh, umm that's basically it to be honest
>Have to spend way more to get something as good and as fast as a console (anyone who says otherwise is lying
>Ruins your fricking posture having to sit like a moron at a desk all day
>Constantly having to tinker with settings, find files to fix things on weird ass forums, PC slowing down as time goes by and having to run shitty pc cleaner apps etc
>Is better because you can do other stuff like video editing etc but that's not gaming related
>Makes you look like a nerd having one in your house, even worse in your bedroom
>Xbox one
>Cheap
>Game pass is like £50 a year and you basically get every game worth playing including multiplayer games you can't torrent on PC
>Plug and play into my 75 inch TV in my living room, doesn't disrupt the aesthetic of my apartment at all
>User friendly
>Can chill on my couch
>All chat integration etc all simply built in for me and my boys to easily chat and talk etc
I always find it hilarious when you call out PCs for being shit, the response is "well you can make it more like a console" lmao
