Comp is a broken farce that only exists so shill CHARIZARD and FOTM shillmons. Though considering how much Game Freak loves Hoeen you'd they would have protected the original Regi's from power creep.
It probably would've done far worse if Weezing was an out-and-out shitmon outside of Neutralizing Gas. The fact that it was decent support mon in it's own right and could also shut down stuff like Coalossal's setup and Charizard's insane damage output was what really made the strategy altogether shine.
there are a lot of mons who are outright carried by their ability, so even if you see it coming it's still crippling.
Solid Rock AND Recover for a Pokemon without a 4x weakness would be insane. I say start with just Solid Rock because that makes for a pretty interesting tank choice for your team.
they all have pretty bad typings except for steel, who has no offenses and is basically shut down by taunt, so I don't think it's too bad. It makes them extremely resilient, but not any more than all the random mons with regenerator and much better typings. Mega Aggron suffered hard from not having reliable recovery to capitalize on it's insane bulk
Regice and Registeel used to be pretty good in gen 3 and iirc regirock was passably UU. If anything just play the lower tiers with them if you like them so much
Regigigas and Drago are fine in vgc with team support. Honestly the top Regis just need new HAs and recovery, give rock solid rock and steel and ce filter.
Maybe give all 3 recover with some sort of STAB defense-based damage move to boot so they can go all in on being a fat wall without being completely passive.
I know some of these ideas really mess with how all of the the golems learn similar moves at similar levels, but just pretend that we can fill in those gaps for the other guys to make it fair

I was kind of surprised it didn't get freeze dry already considering it makes sense and this mon has base 100 SpAtt

This one is already kind of a jack of all trades, so this kind of helps with that. You have equal defenses so Metal Burst will let you counter on either side, Gyro pairs well with Curse, Autotomize makes up for losing the garbage ability Light Metal, Horsepower for coverage, and Spikes is there to give you hazard setting potential. I think this one will still be the worst overall, but whatever. It could be good in doubles I guess.

I like all of these changes a lot, do rock and ice get their respective counter moves already? It's bullshit that steel doesn't get metal Burst, it's almost perfect on it. Nobody feels too powerful, but they can all fill their niche of being fat and hard to kill fairly well.

What's moronic is that there's literally no reason to nerf Regigigas. They gave it the worst ability of all time the generation after they made fricking Kyogre and Groudon.
I think the idea is they wanted Regigigas to be a sublegendary, like the Birds, Beasts, and the other Regis, so you could use it in battle facilities and events, they didn't want it to be a Box Legend in terms of power
Just use them anyway.

I don't think they do, but that's ok bc Metal Burst feels unique enough you don't need the others to have Counter/Mirror Coat (tho it DOES make sense)
