the reason the 3ds games didn't sell well is because they weren't original enough. this game seems to have all the same problems.

The models look good but the lighting and shaders (if that's the right word) look horrid and unity-tier. The 2D Mario is also visually unappealing. These look as cheap as the New series
I'm alright with that. I paid $60 for the original release 30 years ago, I think this long and as much as they've shown in graphical improvements, it's worth it. Not a fan of how they seem to have changed the battle system (that weird % gauge on the side and bevvy of bonus damage sources that showed up after an attack, even if most of them were just appropriate timed hits), but I'll see how that changes as we get closer to release.
