Booted this hack and slash up on Dolphin, pretty satisfying combat actually. What were some of your favorite licensed games from this generation? It was that sweet spot where middling developers could pick up a cheap contract and put out a quality weekend rental, and prices seem to be cheap cause everyone finds them embarrassing nowadays.
inb4 the obvious simpsons hit and run mention
mine is shrek 2. decent brawler and they made fun of quicktime events as well
too bad its only fun with other people cause the AI is ass
im a huge Simpsons fan but hit and run sucked when it first released and still does now, it's so fricking boring
Batman Begins and Spider-Man 2
The James Bond games. Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, Everything or Nothing, etc. I fricking hate how there is no market for games like this anymore.
Ooh yeah. PS2 James Bond was the breasts.
Stop typing like that
Agent Under Fire and Nightfire were fricking awesome. I hated Everything or Nothing though.
If you want good PS2 era co-op brawlers, I recommend this and Eragon.
Star Wars Episode III on GBA.
Genuinely a good beat 'em up with a fun variety of moves
I love this game. I played it over and over as a kid and it's still solid today
I always see folks talking about the PS2 version (which is good) but the GBA version is very nice. Great little beat em up.
Otherwise we got
>Lord of the Rings games
>Spiderman 2 and 3 (frick you i liked 3)
>Don't know if they count or not since not strictly based on movies but obviously the old Battlefront games
>Battle for Bikini Bottom
>Spiderman PS1
>Small Soldiers on PS1 (clunky yet competent enough TPS dripping in atmosphere)
>Toy Story 2 on PS1
back in those days, Marvel had better licences on videogame than movies
I wish this was slightly better. It's surprisingly long and full of content, but it's another game made worse in co-op.
I was trying to decide playing this game or Conan on GameCube (pal exclusive) but I ended up going with Knights of the Temple the Infernal Crusade. It's not good, but it's not terrible. if you just want to go around slashing down a bunch of monks and knights with basic heavy/light attack combos then this is the game for you.
Sequel has much better gameplay, but still weird in other areas
No, it's genuinely terrible. There are so much shit in the making of video at the end credits, it feels like they cut out more than half of the game.
this game was hated on by reviewers saying the timer on each level ruined the game but I just played it for the first time and the timer doesn't ruin anything, if anything its necessary for the combat to work because without the timer there's no sense of urgency. And honestly you should never have an issue with it if you try at all. Aside from that it's a fairly good beat em up where you use points to unlock new combos AND best of all you can play as Robin, Batman, Batgirl (who looks great) and Nightwing. I really like the graphics and the way it's a time capsule for the style of its find n
This game is hot trash and if you like it, it exposes you as a tastelet. It's stiff and has unappealing gameplay for a beatemup. It's even one of those games made worse when you play it in co-op, particularly because of the bosses.
there are actually so many pretty damn decent games. If you include sports games then there's a ton more. Here's a small list of extreme sports with licensed games
Skateboarding
Snowboarding
Snow Mobile
Rollerblades
Scooter
Surfing
Atv
BMX
Motocross
Jetski
that's what I can name off the top of my head.
What an incredibly strange game for Konami to develop.
>What an incredibly strange game for Konami to develop.
I recall the movie being pretty big at the time. Kiera Knightly and Clive Owen are blockbuster names, especially Kiera after Pirates. Midmarket licensed games were huge on PS2 and Gamecube.
They just published it, and it looks like it was developed by the studio that did Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.
>SCARFACE: THE WORLD IS YOURS
Playing now.
The quality and attention to detail of the game is top notch
Currently going for a 100% run.
A game worth standing alongside GTA San Andreas.
Pretty impressive screenshot here anon. Any more you could share about your experience so far?
Sure
Any cool weapons?
Chainsaw
Lame. Even fricking final fantasy has a chainsaw
Like asked, the chainsaw is a cool weapon, as pointed by
If you want a unique weapon, Scarface has nothing fancy
The usual rifle, smg, pistol, melee weapons and explosives.
Scarface has the most ferocious chainsaw in gaming history

The PS2/Xbox/PC Godfather and Scarface games being good is one of the weirdest things ever.
If a developer licenses an old movie to adapt into a game instead of a current one, they're probably passionate about it.
I remember this being pretty fun. Some day, I will go back and finish it
The atmosphere of this game great.
The audio effects and quality is another plus
my guilty pleasure
playing through the whole trilogy with another team feels like going to kanto again in pokemon gold. also the ffx rpg style works pretty good. the only downside are some special moves taking forever.
This doesn't have normal Tetris or I just don't know how to start it?
King Arthur isn't a licensed game
how is it not?
