I'm not playing until there is tons of fetish mods. But then again they will release skyrim and kill the modding scene of a dead game. Skyrim is fun and all but after 12 years and 4k hours it gets boring.
The most prolific Bethesda game modders have gone on record saying they're not terribly keen on making mods for Starfield because it is so fricking boring that even the process of trying to mod it to make it less boring... is boring.

There is literally nothing to like about this game, this is probably the one exception where that is 100% true
I enjoyed it but then I also was high almost every time I played it, so just staring at vistas and getting screenshots was more enjoyable than it probably should have been.
My main complaint is how few set pieces there are that get repeatedly generated, and how they didn't bother to actually make an interconnected series of "tiles". The tech was there, they just didn't fricking use it to truly make it the Space Daggerfall it could have been.
I'm enjoying it

The guy that I read here who posts about how the lack of mod interest for this game is because official mod tools haven't been released yet has got to be trolling, right? He compares it to Skyrim's reception at launch, and I certainly don't remember things being that way. I remember already having modded the game a fair amount before the Creation Kit came out.

i put a ton of time into this game. at times I felt like it's a master piece and was addicted to the game loop. at other times it pissed me the frick off and I felt it was missing something.
It can be fun for a while if you play on PC and use the alt key jet pack boost function, and use console commands to increase carry capacity, oh and and increase player movement speed to about 1.5x. Then you realize there’s nothing else to explore. It’s only worth playing if you got it for free
