I think every game is a mediocre attempt at an RPG that only exists to scratch my itch of collecting a bunch of useless trinkets. I don't have as heavy a level of investment as you do. I see the games for what they are, not what they could be.

sometimes the game bugs and puts either the first pokemon in your party, or the pokemon in the first slot of the last box you used in the middle of a room, it happened to me with a swalot once. this is also probably the same glitch that makes it so a random pokeball will be placed on the floor in a raid battle.
