The hacker group known as LAPSUS$ have claimed they have breached the source code for ALL existing sony consoles.
Sony has already told all the users to change their passwords, remove credit cards etc.
A source code breach would literally mean sony would have to rebuild the PS5 from the ground up because with a public source code there would be day 1 exploits for literally EVERY SINGLE APP AND GAME.

Sony source code leaks are pretty rare, we have tons of nintendo & microsoft stuff, the only first-party sony leaks I know of are wipeout psx and heavenly sword ps3.
Would be kinda cool to get a PS1/PS2 firmware leak so we could know what other plans they had for it, but doubtful it'd actually have anything like that.

Eh it depends, if it included hardware verilog type stuff then maybe, but if it's just firmware then probably not (xbox OG had a firmware/OS leak years ago but didn't really help with emulation much at all afaik)
Even then a lot of emudevs would probably deny ever looking at any leaks too, though I'd bet some autist chads probably wouldn't be able to stop themselves from making use of it.
