It's been translated, I think it's just Chaos Mode that hasn't been.
Ocean Blue for life
I read a D'arby mini game isn't currently available in the 2.6 version plus there's still mods of previous versions of the game that can be updated.
Not OP but I generally get Howlin Wolf
Ocean Blue just speaks to me, it's the kind of stand I would actually want to have
>long-range, is a gun stand without explicitly being a gun
>uses liquids as its weapon which I've always liked as an idea
>can infuse its attacks with the Ripple, completely catching DIO off guard
>has a definite in-story weakness (that it uses your own fluids as ammo so it can only fire so much) even if it doesn't come across in the gameplay
>it's just a really solid stand gameplay-wise on top of that, not broken but can handle any situation without TOO much trouble
I respect that, but are you an Ocean Blue guy?
>"A calm, responsible person with a chivalrous spirit. Adventurous and unyielding, you often treat people coarsely, and your wariness causes you to isolate. Aggressive and narcissistic, you're prone to both offend and take offense. However, despite your selfish nature, you respect the law above all and are determined to maintain the peace."
Yes unironically, that actually defines me to a T outside of being responsible
>it uses your own fluids as ammo so it can only fire so much
This is the reason I wouldn't want to use this stand. I don't want to be the piss and puke guy.
From what's said in game, the fluid it uses for different attacks is sweat, saliva, and blood
If your bodily fluids are ammo, does that mean you could save up your cum and shoot that instead of just using your spit and blood?
>pull a crazy mastermind plot to get Mariah to frick you
>your stand is Ocean Blue
you know how that's gonna go
I could've sworn that Chaos Mode was translated, I remember begging some poor anon on here ages ago for tech support when I was trying to install it.
Also I love Adam Ant, it's got almost no events but I had it since the first time I played and I like the concept.
Wrong, but I can overlook it in exchange for a small donation of 1000G.
Chaos mode got a translation in 7th stand user threads not long after this board was made. Check the archives.
I wasn't aware
There's a more up to date translation on reddit and the wiki
Chaos mode has been fully translated here almost a year ago.
I got Cardigans.
I keep alternating between Cardigans and Wildhearts.
Pharaoh Sanders is great.
I got it on the personality test the first time I played, and I adore it,
>final showdown with joey
>summons a massive mecha
>you turn your stand into a massive sphinx
Ocean Blue is the most in theme with the color naming.
>Get Ocean Blue
>Try it again out of curiosity
>Different questions come up
>Get Deep Purple this time
Can we have SEX with WOMEN in this game yet or nah? Tired of all this gay shit.
In chaos mode you can be a pedo
proof?
Someone should make a mod that lets you do that
i mean if you have rpgm2k you can do it yourself
Even better.
You can accept the fact that Pharaoh Sanders is an invincible Stand with no weaknesses.
>Need to be level 40 by midgame to unlock the the only event that justifies playing Pharaoh Sanders in the first place
>In a game where reaching level 40 takes a ton of farming even by the time you reach the final zone
No.
You could just buy EXP items instead.
Or farm ya pussy.
Or I could play a stand that's actually good from the get go.
Sanders IS good from the get go.
>Hitting everything on the field with your auto-attack
>And basically every ability
It's a great stand from the get go, AND it's easy to grind with if you wanna b***h about it being weak
A better Stand that doesn't start strong would be Cardigans, it start off weak, it's basic attacks are weak, it's first skill other than healing aren't much better, and the only thing it can do good is healing, but by the end,/middle it possess multiple offensive skills to actually do stuff outside of healing, and by the end: heal fricking everything, and Experimental Drug which is Red Garland light.
And that's without taking into account Hamon the 7th being able to learn.
It's really more beneficial for your stand to be good early than for it to be good late.
Unless you want to play post game. In which case, it's better to take Red "I can only punches and my final one being one drop your stats, give you ailments, and hurt you really good" Garland and Cardigans "Let me do as Red Garland but without damage".
And that's without the stats boost items.
He's a very good stand to start with, not great, but very decent, perfect to start the game with. God bless this previous puppy.
This make me hard.
There's no post-game
>B-b-b-b-b-but what about the super bosses
There are only 3 superbosses that require autistic stat grinding and all three are fully immune to RGR and every status effect applied by Experimental Drug. Everything else is beatable by every stand.
Cope and Seethe. Do them.
>This is the best retort red garlands gay can come up with
Try leveling up to 50 and maybe then you'll be able to pull off a decent comeback.
I diiiiiiiiiiid.
Does Howlin Wolf count?
Download rm2k and mod it yourself you fricking coomer
Red Garland best stand.
>enemy moves into long range
the music reference shit sort of made sense at some point but it's just weird to name something after a famous musician like this. isn't there a stand named "the white album" because some weird localization? not a jojo fan in case that wasn't obvious.
>it's just weird to name something after a famous musician like this
Read homie read. Listen to more music
https://jojowiki.com/List_of_References_in_JoJo
band names like king crimson make sense to some extent, but having a stand named after a human celebrity is weird.
Part 8 has a stand called Nut King Call as a nod to Nat King Cole and part 6 has a stand called Marilyn Manson.
Red Garland Requiem, making 36 Kars on Mars scream like little girls.
>mod
If someone make a genuine mod it into the game, I suck my dick.
Had a lot of fun with this game, but I stopped part way through because it was feeling a little grindy and I spent all my time grinding Avdol before he faked his death so there goes that time
Also where's my Cardigans gang at?
The stands in this one are really cool and i love the idea but it sure felt awkward to play, like a rewatch/reread of part 3 except in rpg maker and my donut steel is right there awkwardly in every scene doing nothing. Also there was a bizzare bug where the screen would flash every 10 seconds or so which led me to dropping the thing at around the fight with the Tower of Gray in the plane. Does it get better?
It unironically gets better later, the further the game progresses the more it diverges from Part 3. It also helps if the player has a stand with more events, because it makes them feel less like they're just there (poor Adam Ant)
Wasn't an anon working on extras for that and some other stands? I tried looking it up and found this https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/474101219/#474147782
Speaking of, I fricking swear there were polls on Ganker asking people to take the stand quiz honestly and vote in what they got from it, as a sort of survey. Miracles was way at the top, but that's all I can recall. Trying to hunt for it in arch b4k is not working out for me. Did anybody else in this thread have it somewhere?
>capcha: 4YYA0
AYYLMAO
What stands get the most events anyway?
L ranged and support stands get a bunch, but in terms of sheer number I think Deep Purple gets the most
Deep Purple, as a concept, is fricking amazing.
what version should I play? i kinda wanna play DX since it has colors. Should I download and play hte "chaos mode" version? what is chaos mode?
I think the coloured version has some glitches that make it crash but I think some anon got it working. I have multiple versions of this game and I think I have a frankenstien version that has the complete chaos translation and in colour, but I'm not sure.
2.6 it's the latest version and added even more content to chaosmode
Unlocking chaos mode takes a bit but the amount of extra content it adds is pretty good
I especially love the pedophile/e-girlcon trait you can get by talking to some random girl rapidly
Repeatedly I don't know why I typed rapidly .
If you take the art assets and copypaste them into the 2.6 folder it should work, although when I did it there were a couple of assets that didn't have a colored version for some reason.
Do you know what glitches? It isn't game-breaking but I have one in Cairo where the game crashes every time I get to the second boss in the optional boss rush.
So is there anyway to access chaosmode from the beginning or can I use someone else's save because I lost my save and I don't wanna unlock it again.
Id rather have a jojo rpg set in a random place either in the pre pucci wipe universe or the sbr universe. I like the idea of a jojo side story set in a rando place like the midwest. I like the idea of what goes on in random places.
>By far and large the single most powerful stand that could easily be a main villain stand of a part
>Completely held back by the dipshit coward user
First to remind you peasants.
Do we know the Stands that will be available in 7SU2?
Yes they posted all of the stands on twitter and some on tumblr

Wrecking crew chad reporting in
Great taste
I'm going for red light special or maneater for the first playthrough
actually got Spice Girls just answering the personality test as you should.
Wanted to get the revolver stand that influences people's actions.
Had the same idea for a LISA the Painful character who'd inflict status effects in the same way by using a cap gun and other tricks.
That's already in Pointless from what I recall
Man, the Ace of Spades gimmick sounds really interesting but I feel like it will be really underwhelming in comparison to how it's described. That is of course if this vaporware project one day actually gets finished
frickin rad
Why would you care? That game is never getting past its concept art stage.
I'd honestly expect the totally real and legit part5 anon to make a complete game out of one image he posted before these dipshits get over their patreon grift and actually do something worthwhile with their "game".
Copium, 7su2 is happening the bitter detractors will do nothing but seethe while 7su2 thrives and succeeds
I would like to see them finish the game but it's been years with nothing but a single demo full of placeholder assets to show for all that time
They have a map a bunch of battle sprites for stands and stand users and overworld sprites
>They have 5% of the game done
>In an area that can be endlessly scrapped and redone to give an illusion of progress
7su2 is real its happening and I'm going to love the seethe from the loser detractors when its released and its amazing.
>six years later and still no proper demo
>six years
>shitty demo full of unfinished assets, no combat at all despite the promises
>meanwhile Clayman made 7SU in five years
>and then updated it with chaos mode post release
graphically speaking 7su is a lot simpler.
It's never happening, designing things is cool.
But games need the actual boring shit to get done too.

Get the new 2.6 version
Chaosanon's translation has been outdated for months
Which Stands need more content outside battles?
What's Chaos mode exactly?
It's a mode that adds a lot of new content along with some randomized stuff like your parents being evil or dead.
The content it adds is good and pretty noticeable but you have to beat the game five times or obtain the max amount of money to access if I remember correctly.
Is there a way to unlock that mode without having to complete the game 5 times? I don't have the courage to do such grinding.
A save that already has it. That’s what I did.
So do you have a 2.6 save?
Based
Chaos mode finally got translated? Where can I download version 2.6?
Reddit or the wiki
Also it was translated back in 2020 by chaosanon when the latest version was 2.5
I remember seeing this mentioned on that one chart. Gave it a random go and holy shit it not only got me back into JoJo, it's convinced me Part 3 is the best part after Steel Ball Run. So much Soul. Only wish this game took a few more liberties with the player's role on influencing the story/certain fights. Also would have been cool if the player could've been American or Egyptian.
>I Only wish this game took a few more liberties with the player's role on influencing the story/certain fights. Also would have been cool if the player could've been American or Egyptian.
Agreed also more side content with stand users that aren't dio's minions or somehow related to vins or steel
i think this game is fun because Part 3 has the most opportunities to get into shenanigans with the main gang. SBR would probably be as fun if not more because it would just be you, Johnny and Gyro getting into hijacks across America
My stand was Pharoah Sanders, but unfortunately that's probably the most boring possible stand. It deals damage. That damage is lightning.
Pretty much all it has going for it, except for that one scene where you unlock its special form, which, again, is just a way to deal damage.
I've been wanting to replay this game with a more interesting stand with more non-combat or at least non-damage uses.
I'm thinking Pixies.
just got the game, what is the most OP beginner friendly stand to pick when you take the quiz?
I recommend you just take an Enneagram personality test and then compare your results to the chart in pic related.
The in-game test is essentially random anyway, so taking an actual test makes it feel more like you're using "your" stand and making do.
All the stands are functional even though some are better than others, but since they all change your character's personality and dialogue it's generally better to pick something that you're personally going to jive with.
For example, Carpenters is probably the most OP stand overall but if you don't want to play as the dude who has it then it sucks. It's a self-insert roleplaying game, so you may as well pick based on self-inserting.
I prefer playing as an aggressive fighter in video games, but my enneagram (Which is the basis for stands in this game.) is 4w5, so I used Miracles and felt a lot more immersed.
>My stand is associated with Abbacchio and Caesar
Based?
Howlin wolf would take care of tons of problems, if the MC actually used it outside of battle.
>can just blow away judgments fog
>can just create a water spout while underwater
>can just blow away projectiles
>tracking using its nose
etc
A lot of the stands would be better if the MC was more willing to use them.
I agree but at the end of the day there's only so much shit that can be simulated easily in a video game. If every stand got a special event for every single one of its possible applications (There are 18 stands.) the workload would be exponentially bloated.
7th Stand User is already remarkable in the breadth of shit that changes depending on character and decisions.
plus at that point itd be just your mary sue winning everything, I mean its already a self insert fanfiction but some restraint is needed gosh darn it
that's all good ideas
if only somebody could make a mod to put all that into action
Thats a lot of work to put in a game and Clayman is just a bored housewife, i think she did as good a job as she could of with what amounts to a hobby. Something like that seems better for mods
Wildhearts was the first stand I got when I was answering honestly and my Enneagram matches him too.
It's such a shame it's one of the worst stands in this game.
>Carpenters is DIO
>Adam Ant is Pucci
I feel like there's a strong difference in strength between all of them.
People will say Howling Wolf because he's simple and easy to use but Red Garland, Ocean Blue, and Pharaoh Sanders are all good starter stands
Specials it's special debuff is op
Take the quiz, roll the autism stand and accept that you are here forever.
I would never recommend Miracles for a new player
You should stop recommending people beginner stands in the first place.
The personality quiz is there for you to roll up your stand on your first playthrough.
But I also don't want them to get frustrated and quit a fun game because they got pixies first try.
Pixies is perfectly fine miracles is the one that sucks.
Miracles beats everything save for debuff immune superbosses and bullshit debuff resistant anubis polnareff.
If you are struggling with a stand that halves stats and drops enemy accuracy to 5% with a single button, you are the one who sucks.
I can't speak for Anon, but I imagine I would struggle with Miracles.
Mostly because I've played so many games where Buffs/Debuffs are completely useless that I just don't consider using them in any game. It's an instinct born of badly designed games.
Polnareff Phase 2 kept assraping me at level 10 because I tried taking him on myself with Miracles. Had to just have Abdul beat his ass instead. The problem with Miracles at that point in the game is that you literally cannot push out enough damage to outpace their ability to heal. The only reason its super good is because generally speaking the other party members have damage for days but an utter lack of utility, but using Miracles before the harbor kind of blows. There are some bosses you have to take on solo eventually as well, and they can be a massive slog if you're not well-prepared with items/ripple techniques that can make up for your weaknesses.
Do people really drop it cause of Pixies on the first run? I had it for my first and I just earthquaked the frick out of whatever enemies came my way and it seemed pretty easy
Love Shorty!
how can one love such pure evil?
she's the perfect lifeform
Is that woman?? Can you sex with???
Shorty is not for lewd
Pharaoh Sanders does AOE damage with basic attacks, making it really easy to grind with
Good thing too because you need to grind a lot with him.
Something with long range and ideally aoe attacks is good to begin with so you can level up quickly on random enemies. Pharaoh Sanders, Ocean Blue, and Sonic Youth should all be solid.
Would you guy be interested in a 7th stand user style game based on parts 1 and 2 of the series?
I would be interested in a game based on any of the parts especially 2 since part 2 3 7 and 6 are the best parts.
>2.6 still has the Pharaoh Sanders bug
>Where if you try to do the cheese method of maxing your stats you get Joykiller instead of Sanders, unlike every other stand when doing this method
Can I ignore Stands and learn to use the Ripple instead?
Certain stands can get ripple techniques
No, not entirely. Unless you get a special start in chaos mode.
So does anyone have a dev room chaosmode or new game plus save.
I always ended up with either Napalm Death (the pen that made physical, explosive characters with its writing) or Quicksilver, the arm cannon.
Also, I got stuck once, maybe twice, on that weird Dio fight where you control that one dude in the car? And either winning or losing forces an ending, which sucks.
Really good and fun game though. Don't forget, for those who care, that there's actually a colored version of the game that you can just drag and drop the files for over the base game if you care enough. It's pretty neat. Unfortunately, I can't seem the find the link for it anymore though. I know it exists somewhere.
You can like...just not do that meme fight
I genuinely don't remember how it happens or how to avoid it. When I was last played 7th Stand User, over a year or so ago, it seemed as if I was stuck with that fight?
iirc you just don't defy Dio when you briefly gain control over the senator
The colored version isn't perfect (or my copy is fricked or something), I tried it recently and there's a couple of sprites and backgrounds that are still black and white.
Does chaos mode add more events for underappreciated stands or does it focus entirely on adding new stuff?
how old is this game really? why did the author decide to go for gbc aesthethics?
also any tips for miracles users?
The game was fully finished in like 2017 but out since 2013. It's a rpgmaker2003 game, there's only so much you can do with it and it was made by a single housewife in her spare time which would explain the graphics.
>also any tips for miracles users?
Your basic elemental attack abilities are not good.
Exception would be the lightning one since it has higher odds of inflicting a status effect than other three.
[.....] is your best tool and will win the fight on its own if you have anyone else with you.
[Clunk], or whatever it's called, does about as much damage as the elemental attacks but also often applies Stop which has the lowest odds of getting cancelled by attacking the enemy.
If you can help it, either kill or save Stroheim to get a Laser from him. It's an infinite use item that does decent damage, can blind and does double damage to undead/vampires.
>housewife
i refuse to believe an actual women made.

thx for adv nevertheless though
It's a Japanese housewife, if that helps

With help from her husband.
Stands are just a ripoff of the idea of Personas. Such an eyeroll.
I know this is most likely bait we I'm sure there are morons who actually think this.
I kinda want a Persona Jojo crossover now.
What stand/personality is closest to Ryan Gosling from the movie Drive?
Red Garland or Napalm Death are closest, I'd say
jotardo poojo
This game sounds a lot cooler than it really is. Like you hear about all the crazy ways the story can change and the 8 million secrets and it sounds awesome. And all of that stuff really is in the game, but 90% of the real 7SU experience is either wandering aimlessly or following a guide to find all the hidden secrets. And the battle system doesn't really have much strategy to it. Either you can overpower the other guy, or you roll the dice a bunch until they stop standing out of your range or using their best moves. The range system might be cool if there were ways to approach or retreat but it's 100% up to the whims of the AI.
Realistically which stand the protagonist can get would be the most powerful?
Miracles and caravan seem like they should be pretty damn strong. Pharaoh Sanders should be really good in direct combat. None are Good Experience Requiem or Made in Heaven tier.
Honestly Cardigans
It has doping which is basically super steroids for you and the stand without the bad side effects
Laser cut a super powerful attack that can one shot and ignores any defense
Experimental drugs which basically drugs the opponent with a super drug
A rank durability
Shock Therapy which shocks the opponent
It can just put enemies to sleep
It can remove all status effects including bullshit non standard ones like mummy so poisoning the user is kinda useless
You basically have to knock out or kill the user since it can heal all damage
I feel like Miracles could be insanely OP due to circumstance, since it's in Part 3. It could plausibly subdue a flesh bud or Anubis, and then you're an immortal, invisible swordmaster.
I think people give it too much credit. For example, something not touched upon is the method of activation. We're just assuming that you instantaneously make someone your giga b***h the second you look at them with advanced, profound mind control.
Ok, if that were true than why does your stand fight people?
Imagine that it's an Echoes Act 1 tier in general build, and that its activation condition is that it needs to fly directly over someone and blast them with radiation from its tail for the power to work. Illusory electricity, fire, cold, darkness, or different colored lights for basic emotions. Still good, but evadable and a stand user can plan around it because they can deduce what's happening if they see it coming.
Clearly it can vastly change emotions, but it can't make someone stop halfway through a pre-meditated attack on you no longer how happy or pissed off you make them feel about it.
Assuming Miracles can do fricking ANYTHING mind related with ease is like reading that the World can stop time and assuming it has infinite duration rather than roughly 5 seconds.
I did say it was a matter of circumstance, but it does show off great ease with a surprising range of effects, even if it doesn't directly control people's bodies. Also, it doesn't say anything about firing radiation from its tail or otherwise compare itself to Echoes, but it does say that it can reflect attacks somehow, and between that and shutting people's senses off, it's really fricking strong to begin with.
>Ok, if that were true than why does your stand fight people?
Because it's a videogame, dumbass.
For all intents and purposes, the second you unlock [.....] is the second you make everyone in range stop fighting you because they can no longer fight back with exceptions of superbosses who are immune to status effects since, again, videogame. And despite all of it, it can still deliberately avoid combat alltogether because it can weaken everyone's perception of the user and thus lower the encounter rate, or do the exact opposite and increase it. In the epilogues, Miracles protag uses it to follow Kira/Passione gangsters by erasing their presence.
The only actual similarity to Echoes Act 1 is the appearance.
If I recall correctly, everything beside physical attacks like the basic attack, desperation attack and assassinate has 100% hitrate. The stand itself is described as to affect the subconscious and in the "Grab the submarine" route you meet a stand user which has basically an identical stand, as described by the protagonist themselves, but with a way larger range and it also works on "You are can be affected the second you step into its range" rules
>Clearly it can vastly change emotions, but it can't make someone stop halfway through a pre-meditated attack on you no longer how happy or pissed off you make them feel about it.
But you literally can, Stop is among the status effects you can inflict, both by regular attacks and an ability. It just becomes the matter of being faster.
It's a stand that's actively held back by being in a videogame and being subjected to videogame rules.
Red Garland Cardigans Napalm Death and Specials
I can sort of get the others, but why Specials?
It's a highly durable stand with human level strength but there's six and they each have their own set of skills
Could most stand users handle grenades being thrown at them while also dodging or blocking bullets and if the user of specials gets close enough fight off a giant a lady with a knife and martial artist
I forgot to mention the sixth one who's a trapmaker
Eh, I like Specials, it was the first stand that I got. But they are just a bunch of bodyguards.
>Could most stand users handle grenades being thrown at them while also dodging or blocking bullets and if the user of specials gets close enough fight off a giant a lady with a knife and martial artist
I mean, a lot of them probably could. Specially long range stands.
Bad company took out okuyasu with one very quick barrage of extremely tiny bullets imagine what specials could do with pin point shots and jumbo grenades
Who cares, Okuyasu might be the single biggest jobber in all of JoJo.
Not him but while true, there's also the fact that Bad Company is a really good stand. It's the kind of stand I would want
>Araki bothered to draw the jam enhancer on the M16
perfect
Yep. It’s also a good reminder it really depends on the user. Considering raw power, The Hand is broken.
I wish there were more Swarm-type stands, it's part of why I like Pharaoh Sanders so much.
I'm pretty sure Araki said the only reason Okuyasu gets to have a stand as powerful as The Hand is because he's too stupid to utilize it.
Okuyasu is quite literally moronic.
Worst Company*
Pharaoh Sanders gives you more minions and they can control lightning. Specials is totally outclassed.
Fake lightning and minions that have to turn themselves into projectiles
Specials completely shit on stand users and most stands.
Very few stands can block bullets and even less can dodge them while also avoiding traps and grenades.
Specials is mid to upper mid tier. There are tons of stands that have long range attacks, and anyone can simply use a regular gun alongside their stand if that turns out to be so advantageous. Specials is very limited in what it can do against indirect or extreme long range attacks, and it'd also be nearly helpless against a sufficiently fast and strong punch ghost like Star Platinum.
Now Caravan, there's some broken shit. Immense versatility, can generate nuclear warheads, can hide inside its own pocket dimension. It's better than The World.
Caravan Act 3 is also never shown beyond the attack you get, so it's capabilities aren't really known, are they?
Yeah but what we know about Caravan Act 2 is enough to declare it a top tier stand.
There's also just the fact that while Specials can do a lot of things at once, it can't really do them any than a normal human being. Its main advantage is that, like all stands, it's invisible. Now would Specials be good in say part 4-6? Sure, because by that point stands had become hyperspecialized and could only do one obscure thing it did really well. However, like 90% of stands in Part 3 are complete bullshit OP busted-tier.
>Star Platinum and The World can both stop time and kill their opponent in it
>Cream is literally unbeatable and is a one-hit kill, the only weakness is you can't see shit
>Death 13 kills you in your sleep where you can't summon your stand unless you got knocked the frick out, and you can't remember shit when you wake up if you survive
>A FRICKING SUN
>Yellow Temperance gives perfect control over the stand in every facet making it essentially unbeatable as long as there's no way to drown the opponent
>Predictions that are literally never wrong, even if it's not what you think
>A sword that the same move will never work on twice
>a microscopic stand that really you can only find using something like Hermit Purple
>power over water
>Silver Chariot is lowkey one of the most powerful stands even before part 5
Honestly Yellow Temperance is probably one of the most underestimated Stands, it's insanely powerful.
It essentially combines The Blob and The Thing's powers without any of their weaknesses, which is a big deal in the fight (The Blob is vulnerable to ice and The Thing is vulnerable to fire, and both fail at stopping Yellow Temperance). It can consume opponents, can't be destroyed, works as an armor, can disguise someone perfectly.
But the user is so goddamn fricking moronic. Even Oingo, who has one of the shittiest Stands of all time, at least tried to act like the person he was disguising as.
No real reason to be careful when you're essentially invincible. The enemy can't even attack YT without being eaten.
Oh and I forgot one
>a car that's damn near invincible, can use its gasoline as bullets, can keep regenerating into more lethal forms, etc
>by that point stands had become hyperspecialized and could only do one obscure thing it did really well.
Yeah that's pretty much why I hate anything past part 4
Eh, I like how it lends itself to unique fights. Every stand battle is a mystery where you have to figure out how the stand works and what its weakness is.
It says a lot that The Emperor is actually one of the shittiest Part 3 stands. At first you think "oh cool, an invisible gun that you control the path of the bullets, that sounds really good". But then you realize that since the gun itself is a stand, it actually has only the fraction of the range of an actual gun, and since the bullets are part of the stand instead of being regular bullets, they're much easier to deflect than say the bullets Sex Pistols will bounce around.
>Reg Garland is just Star Platinum but better in every way
lame.
Red Garland is star platinum with low accuracy and durability and no special abilities like star finger or time stop
homie, he has a requiem-like ability (in the sense that it affects the soul).
I started a new playthrough with Pharaoh Sanders. Never used that stand before but being able to hit all enemies with my regular attack is a lifesaver early on.
I like Wildhearts and I'm running through the game with it on my current playthrough, but it really is too bad it's not all that good. At least it's L range. Speaking of which, what actually is the worst stand?
>Speaking of which, what actually is the worst stand?
Miracles against debuff-immune bosses
I've been wanting to play this but I've been procrastinating doing so really hard, especially with so many other games taking up my attention.
Partially related but I need a good name for this one stand I made for a jojo dnd campaign. Its a 3 act stand thats based on the fly movie and superhero action figures.
Act 1- is small and docile like tusk/echoes act 1, it has that he-man superhero mold and its based on a fly bug. It has a small field of teleportation that teleports any objects that are gonna hit it. Its a defensive stand with its only offensive ability is teleporting its fist as a punch.
Act 2- Its a bit bigger now and is based on 90s superheroes and can teleport itself and the user, its new ability is that it trades it's fist for claws and when these claws sink into an object or enemy the stand can teleports its insides, i.e teleporting an organ in a living organism.
Act 3- Its a disgusting dark humanoid figure now, its a weird mix of plastic and fly like features. It can teleport its user and anyone but it can merge objects by teleporting inside of them. I.e teleporting a human into a wall killing them instantly. It can shoot out a weird beam from it's mouth that breaks down the matter of any object destroying it but it has to be a small object or a limb of a person.
What would be a fitting name for this stand?
In 7SU, how much of the player dialogue actually changes based on the personality?
I think its based on the character you chose to play as and the stand they use, if I remember correctly playing as the fat MC has him talk about food and being hungry, I think there was also a scene where he steals the food from one of the crusaders.
It depends on the stand and some ‘perks’ your character can have. It doesn’t change THAT much, but it does change.
It's hard to give a definitive answer, as a lot of changes are actually pretty subtle. Often dialogues are similar enough you won't notice a change unless you're comparing them. Also to check you'd have to go through with all 18 stands, plus each appearance for both gender. Oh, and skipping traits. If there's dialogue affected by either personality and a trait, the trait takes priority, I think
If I remember correctly costumes also affect dialogue for example the bunny girl suit and samurai armor or was it a ninja costume I forgot
Most of the instances where your main character speaks up or reacts change somewhat to be in line with the personality you rolled up, but it's nothing major as to change the story. It's there for flavor.
What, in your opinion, was the most fun Stand to play through the game with?
Honestly? Quicksilver. Kinda basic, but fun as shit to just blast shit away. Besides, the interaction with Hol Horse is worth it.
God, frick this piece of shit Anubis fight. I've gotten so close to finishing him a few times, but eventually he just starts spamming Iai Slash or spamming buffs and I just die. Which wouldn't be so bad except there's so much shit I have to go through to get to that fight, I have to fight Khan and then regular Polnareff and mash through all these fricking cutscenes. Absolutely fricking awful, I should probably just skip it.
Don't you usually get badges and more xp by not following canon
And after b***hing like that I beat it on my next try, fantastic.
Which stand are you running with
Anyone got a new game plus save
Tfw got the axe punchghost
7su2 W
Clayman L
As soon as someone mods in some way to change distance I'll be all over the game. Having to wait for an enemy to be in just the right position to attack isn't good design. I gave up on the game when Red Garland and Star Platinum were expected to fight off a bunch of long range enemies.
lol use items other teammates star platinum's mid range moves or star breaker
I did, its just frustrating feeling like the party is glued in place. Feels like there's a mechanic missing. This thread is making me download the latest update and I'm going to use a guide to get a more versatile Stand. I love the idea Red Garland and being able to Stand Rush together with Jotaro but I don't like missing so much.
You sound like a homosexual but I somewhat agree. There should be some kind of way to close the distance or distance yourself, something key in a LOT of fights in the manga. At first I thought that’s what stances did, my character would automatically get closer or farther away.
I don’t think a mod would fix because it could seriously alter the balance of the game and some enemies don’t have sprites to reflect the change in distance.
The only range that's bullshit is ? range, everything else has a way for you to fight it.
I am fat so I play as the fatchad, troons seethe.
Just to be clear, the 2.6 download on the wiki contains the translated Chaos Mode right? Does it also include the looping event fix for the dio fight?
I have no idea about the version of the wiki but here is the latest version posted in /vrpg/ https://mega.nz/file/2ronxBJD#x2uYi1GRBa4rdA-YIgnz7Ba20IfCPVBGXjdDoReVSdo
Can someone post the fix for the dio fight then so I can make sure it has it?
I dream that one day, someone will be inspired to make a 7th Stand User type game for One Piece or Hunter x Hunter. One Piece can perfectly fit what 7SU went for and Hunter x Hunter can make a lot of fun alt routes
Hopefully someday anon along with a part 6 game
Imagine it instead of au diego funny can recruit au (you) with one of the 18 stands from the original.
>funny can recruit au (you) with one of the 18 stands from the original.
But you are Japanese, not American. Why would you care about helping Valentine? Because he pulls the "I am your only hope of going back to your home universe" on you?
Actually there's contradicting info on where you're from in the english translation. It's possible this was a mistranslation or something, but there's an npc in Egypt who calls you a westerner, and he wasn't referring to Joseph because I had Abdul in my party
The stand user that's racist against Japanese explicitly calls the player out, doesn't she?
Yeah, and that's what confuses me. I'll try and find the line again in the code because I swear you get called a westerner by one of abdul's friends in egypt.
Reminder there is a very cool song in the game that ONLY plays once out of the entire game's worth of scenes, and ONLY plays at the scene of you taking the thrown dagger for your party member when Mariska corners you at the bar in Kom Ombo, the same map as in
. That fight is also one of the hardest in the game for where you fight it
I don't recall ever seeing the scene where you take the hit instead of your party member, do you know how to trigger it?
I might be remembering wrong, and its probably the one where you decide to solo Mariska after she knifes your party members and they're laying there wounded.
You have the option to fight her by yourself and tell your partner to run away.
The contradicting info you are probably thinking of is the implication by Ceasar in the post-game room that PC is a Zeppeli. + being able to learn hamon techniques + 2 different chaos mode starts straight up saying it.
That's atleast the only time I can think of that the game alludes to PC being anything else than japanese and those aren't mutually exclusive.
NO I FOUND IT I WASNT CRAZY
I couldnt find it in the map data itself for some reason, but I remembered the area and had a save in the debug room lying around to see it in game. If you have Abdul in your party, you can talk to this man in Kom Ombo, no Chaos Mode or NG+ needed.
...but I also forgot that immediately after, Abdul corrects him and says you're from Japan. Still, a bit odd he wouldn't recognize you as Japanese immediately
Maybe it's a hint of your Zeppeli origins because they're Italian and you would have Italian features
>Be clearly not muslim nor Arab or African in Egypt
>Why do they call me westerner
It basically boils down to foreigner in the end, and a clearly japanese person being identified as japanese by someone dedicated to anti japanese racism is different to a layman politely referring to a foreigner as a foreigner without being an butthole.
Steel ball run universe (you) could be american or just some japanese boy/girl that joined the race for some reason just like all the other foreigners that joined in canon
Fricking stone is chasing me around the map. What do
Leave Japan
7su2 is real, 7su2 is real, 2 more years until it comes out bros, trust the plan.
How's the development going?
https://twitter.com/Official_7SU2/status/1525607531862560768?cxt=HHwWgMCgtfP9hawqAAAA
It's happening.
>two months ago
It's over
This shit went into development when the part 4 anime was airing.
dude where's my 99 bottled water?
go to ghost house
Frick the alternate route and frick the mansion.
That is all.
The mansion's a blessing compared to the hell that is the terrorist great-trek, the mansion reminds me of the classics horror rpgmaker games, kinda nostalgic actually
Once you know what to do, you can do it fairly quick but the first time through, after the radio and the desert, I just wanted to get back on track.
The interaction you get with Hol Horse if you have Quicksilver is worth it.
Just started and got Howling Wolf, wish me luck
The M range wind blasts are your friend
Is the color mod for this game still fricked up with the newer versions? Playing this in black and white hurts my eyes.
It has not given me any problem but the contents of the chaos mode are still in black and white
>still playing in black and white
take the colorpill
>when youre so new to rm games that you never fix the fonts
for once im happy to be old. your generation is so crooked. enjoy your game though.
Pornareff is impossible to beat with only Carpenters at lvl 8.
Let Avdol do it then
Wheres the links?
7su wiki has links to the newest version of the game, chaos mode, fonts, soundbanks to make the game not sound like ass, etc.
Is there any other tricks to deal with the slowdown, I've got it running in the smallest frame and with reduced color palette but it's still lagging like hell
I really admire this game and what it sets out to do. Makes me wish there were more like it. A Fate/Stay Night fangame in its vein would be really neat.
>spoiler
It would be impossible to do, it's known to have bigger loopholes than in Jojo.
7SU took years, I can only imagine how much time and autism would be needed for an FSN game like this
Yeah, it's just a fantasy. Even though it takes place over a shorter time than SC, there's just too many variables in place to feasibly account for all the possible actions and what-ifs a player would want to see, especially if there's another master and servant in the mix.
What would the game even be plotwise?
Nice. Is there more like this?
Thanks, I really appreciate it.
I also made this shitty edit using someones fanart but beware the part 5 spoilers.
Great work, anon.
Part 3 is the best part for this kind of story and gameplay imo, but Part 5 and 7 could be great too. I don’t think we’ll ever see something as good as 7thSU for any other part.
>I don’t think we’ll ever see something as good as 7thSU for any other part.
7th stand user 2 will be better 🙂
Having a self-important loser shill it constantly despite being in development hell already made it infinitely worse than 7SU
take your meds schizo
Cameo drinks piss.
Why does my attack (Ocean Blue) deal just as much damage as the Spit Gun skill? What's the point of using the skill that costs sp if my attack is performing equal amounts of damage? I feel there is something I'm not understanding correctly
I think it has a higher chance of inflicting oceans blue special debuff
I've just passed the submarine. Does the rest of the game have random encounters? Everything before the submarine was fine as the only encounters were ones you would run into yourself, but now that there are actual random encounters the game has become absolute suffering. The encounter rate is stupid, sometimes I can only walk two steps before getting an encounter!
yeah sorry bro snipers, assassins and other annoying random encounters are normal for the rest of the game
That’s the shitty part people don’t talk about. The game would be better with no encounters outside the ones you can stop by hunting the stand user.
I honestly modded those enemies the frick out.
>I honestly modded those enemies the frick out.
Care to share your mod?
Currently out, I’ll try to do so tomorrow.
A 7SU game based on different anime certainly would be good but I think it's impossible, the game itself is a huge anomaly made with blood, magic and 5 years of work does anyone have the mega link with every character fanart? I remember it from the Ganker threads when chaos mode was translated
I genuinely think Gash Bell would translate really well into the same general idea and format of 7SU.
That one punch man game is pretty good for those who like self inserting into anime. Personally I’d like to play a 7SU style game for dragon ball or dragon ball z

How much FP do I need to save each crusader?
Be above 10 fp with a crusader and let him have the highest fp in the group to save any one of them.
Saving all of them requires alternative endings from which you can't even ng+ and those start at overall 50fp or 100 if you are gunning for a golden ending.
is there a way to get this game to start in windowed? Don't want the game to frick up my window sizes every time I open it.
what's fun about it anon?
Let’s start with a very simple question. Do you like Jojo?
anybody else imagine the guy that posted to be an actual living wojak numale meme?
Chronically online
completed the first half of the josuke arc. its the only arc I've enjoyed so far. jotaro arc was a goddawful catastrophe, battle tendency was the almost complete garbage, with some great ideas, and Phantom Blood was good, but shits the bed the moment Hamon is revealed.
I'm mostly interested in whether or not the game itself has unique and/or fun combat mechanics/dynamics.
>I'm mostly interested in whether or not the game itself has unique and/or fun combat mechanics/dynamics.
It's an RPGMaker2000 game, the gameplay is the bog standard rpgmaker faire. A lot of the fun comes from the interractions between a stand you've rolled up and the story going on as well as playing through part 3 jojo with your own OC joining the crew.
Combat is pretty standard for an RPG Maker 2000 game but there is a range system which makes it so that you need an attack that exceeds the range of an enemy to hit them.
There also is a basic element system which you can take advantage of with certain abilities to do more damage to enemies.
I finally decided to give this a shot and the personality quiz, answered as honestly as I could, gave me Red Garland.
Man this does not seem like a good match, I can think of few things lamer than grug smash. Frick you, soul.
Red Garland is a pretty cool stand when you consider that its ability is straight up punching someone hard enough that it damages their soul as well. Its also the only stand that can unlock Requiem once you hit level 50.
It's also the only Stand that struggles to hit people who can't even fricking see it
Been working on a mod that adds some of the missing sprites (Bunny, Chador, Bathing, Future) for the sexy version of Fatty + fixes the bug where it reverts your sprite back to being fat if you change uniforms with the sexy/macho sprite. Would replace faceset but I can't draw for shit.
https://files.catbox.moe/wgwju1.rar
make the sprite bigger
Does modding the game with rpgmaker frick up the numbers in anyway? I heard the secret dev boss has over 30000 hp but the database just says 9999.
I'm pretty sure 9999 is the maximum health possible unless Clayman somehow managed to manually edit it beyond that point. I doubt anyone who translated the game would have noticed it being reverted considering that you need to open it in RPG Maker to modify anything at all anyway.
The secret bosses do regenerate health every turn and have a shitton of defense though which definitely makes them feel like they have more health then they actually do.
