The saudis saw that & decided that giving them 2 billion dollars was a bad idea.

75 people seems like an absurdly large team to make a game as small as Ruiner

They've released nothing since 2017. How did they even stay afloat for so long?

Prior to 2023 Embracer used hands-off approach to their studios, not interfering with the development. E.g. Biomutant, devs said that Embracer didn't interfere, and in the end game came out so-so because of devs being too unfocused. But that approach is no more. Welp.

Between them and Microsoft having the same approach it kind of proves that game devs are lazy, useless frickers who need to be forced to perform crunch time and be pushed constantly by management if they want to actually put out an even halfway decent game these days, eh?

Gamesdevs are generally fine, but they quickly get demotivated when a shitty lead takes the reigns and supresses opposition. THOSE are the guys that Embracer needs to tard-wrangle.

wtf? why did that studio even need 75 people? their game was not that big.

If anyone doesn't know heres what happened
    >make deal with some other company (saudi company i think)
    >deal will provide A LOT of money
    >deal is almost guaranteed
    >go on spending spree because you got that deal coming up
    >day of deal, get ready to sign
    >about to go to meeting
    >get call
    >deals off
    >stuck with purchases you likely can't afford now
    >freak out and start cutting cost whete you can

Welcome to modern economics. Damn near everyone uses the business model of kicking the can down the road because you can get hypothetically higher returns investing more than you have with the assumption that you'll make it all back between investors and sales.
