A high end computer in 2016 cost $1,400.
A high end computer in 2023 costs $1,400.
Why is there a outrage for increasing prices?

there isn't
>A high end computer in 2023 costs $1,400.
Yeah, if you consider the GPU alone to be a computer. In b4 you think a 60 card or AMD equivalent is "high end"
You can get a prebuilt with a 4060 for 1,400.
If game devs aren't actually making use of the top end there's no reason to go higher. The only purpose for the high end cards at this point in time is for AI.
>If game devs aren't actually making use of the top end there's no reason to go higher.
Except that wasn't OP's claim.
>X060 series is considered high end now
Shitty bait thread. Frick off.
>4060
>high end
A 4060 is only slightly more powerful as a 2070 which came out in 2018.
High end is 3080, 3090, 4070, 4080, 4090.
The 4060 is fricking cheap.
4060 is the 4050
it's not even a performance improvement over the 3060
4060 is absolute shit and not high end. You need at least $2300
BecauseGanker has been filled with third worlders who complain about gaming being a expensive hobby.
kot
But $1400 isn't even enough to get a true high end GPU by itself. Do you mean lower mid-range?
>muh overclock speeds
Nobody that's playing video games gives a frick. The 2xxx series is still overkill for 99% of the games being published.
You morons are paying a premium for memes.
This would be your best bet and it's not 1400.
I got a high end gaming PC for 2 grand as a gift and I've only used it to play Touhou 10 and browse Ganker. Waste of money and space, and I fricking hate the stupid glowing rainbow lights on every goddamn thing nowadays. Why the frick does my mouse have to glow? Why does my keyboard need 10,000 different color schemes? Why the frick do the parts inside my clear glass tower have to FRICKING GLOW? Hurr durr, shiny colors so pretty, ape brain like colors. Modernity is a joke. I want to go back to 2008.
>Gankeredditor
>doesn't play video games
>just wants to whine and complain even when he gets something for free
checks out
have a nice day
But whining and complaining is fun.
$1,400 is enough for you to get a 4070 build which is more of a mid-range computer
Real high end one will cost more than $2,000 easily because Njewdia is jacking up the price
Not if you buy used 🙂
It is pretty crazy how cheap technology got in the mid 2010s. Consumer technology used to regularly cost like hundreds of dollars. A fricking VAIO laptop used to cost 2000 USD, TWENTY years ago.
You can get a good rig for like $1,000 too btw
>buy 980 for $450 in 2015
>buy 3080 for $700 in 2020
pc gaming just works for me
Meanwhile, I'm playing on ultra-quality 60fps every game by having a server farm run my games for $10 bucks a month lmao
qrd?
In 2015, I paid £1,700 for a pc with a 980ti and other similarly high end components
last year I paid £3,000 for a pc with a 4080 and other high end shit being put in there
$1,400 will get you a mid grade pc at best nowadays, which is still going to be miles better than any console but let's not pretend there isn't anything better on the market
>A high end computer in 2023 costs $1,400.
A 4080 is $1200 and you still have an entire computer left to build.
High end computer in 2016 was supposed to run 1080p 144hz and 2k 60hz. Now you can get a computer like that at about 200-300€ used. For 4k you can get a used computer right now for about 800-1000€. All you GPU "i gots to get 4090" are fricking idiots.
