A moment in the upcoming cyberpunk 2.0 update I haven't heard people talking about much, most clothes now are practically useless as they don't give you armor stats and exist solely for aesthetics with rare exceptions. That is because your main armor source are implants now. Thoughts?

It deviates from the RPG aspect of the game, but most of the game has been doing so anyways since they changed that twitter bio, so it's fine. People would dress their character in the most moronic ways possible for the stats and that's clearly not what they wanted.

Transmog was in for a year now. You put on clothes for your stats and then you put on clothes for you looks on top of it, giving you no stats.
I prefer clothes don’t add stats and are purely cosmetic because I don’t want my character to look like a clown just because the gear has good stats.

Pretty much everyone stylemaxxed in my experience, armor was almost worthless and definitely not worth the hassle of constantly switching it out for the 1% better variant and looking like a total moron. I played a fricking melee build and I didn't bother with armor.

Should have been like this from the beginning. Some clothes still should give something like +10 hazard resistance where it makes sense.

you still had to go crafting to get decent armor, so crafting was all in or nothing, with no in-between. It wasn't very good, although it's better than release.

First big update. Nerfed armor from clothing and crit mods hard. Power level of players was like halfed. Many items players had became useless.

Breh, this is what everyone wanted from the very beginning and what it should have been from the start. Clothing should have just been the aesthetic part of the game and the "stats" should have been applied to the meshes, plates, and modifications that you attach to your guns and armor/clothes.
