Not him but the reason why Cyrus works and Lysandre falls flat is because Cyrus's mindset makes sense. He's a psychopath and his model for an ideal world is a world without emotions. He prizes his intellect and competence above the bonds he shares and had more of a relationship with his machines then those around him and seeks to remake the world in his cold image. A false god in the region where the world was created by actually God and his downfall is the antithesis of what the sinnoh games are about.

Lysandre doesn't really represent anything. It's never made clear whether he wants to kill himself along with the entire world because both X and Y tell you different things

I like how Cyrus in the anime pretended to be a nice businessman. He may be a psychopath but he can act being a normal person.
And it explains how he could fool Team Galactic.

Yeah that's what makes him a psychopath as opposed to a sociopath. A psychopath is much more able to keep it together and pass off as normal and less emotional. Compared to a sociopath who is more impulsive, generally not as smart, more emotional and not as good at hiding it

unironically makes more sense than cyrus's motive

Please point out to me where it's made clear you moronic homosexual. After you kick his ass in X he tries to force immortality on himself and the protag which implies he intends to still live after the world is destroy. In Y however he just goes frick it and tries to blow everyone up in the building himself included.

But this is all moronic because even if somehow he and Flare still manage to survive after the world is destroyed, it's not the same as Cyrus because unlike their Sinnoh counter parts, Xerneas and Yveltal don't have the power to recreate the world.

Neither of these contradict his motivation, speedreadertard. The machine can kill and make things immortal simultaneously.

            >Xerneas and Yveltal don't have the power to recreate the world.
No but the machine does, speedreadertard.

Not really Lysandre will always be a shitty attempt to recreate Cyrus but failing.

The only reason Flare isn't the dumbest team and Lysandre the dumbest villain its because of the Magma/Aqua 0-IQ Kino

I mean, he was going to spare "the worthy", the issue was of course the "worthy" being Team Flare who were anything but. Like honestly if they had a TWEEST that his plan was to kill his own Team that tried to bribe themselves to Survival and spare people like Sycamore and Diantha who didn't fall for his spiels (now a test of character) it probably be more interesting and distinct from Cyrus, but going by how people reacted to the Pecharunt video they would probably see it as a Dindu moment in such a scenario.
