Everyone in FFVIII is moronic, the men and the women.

Cid is the real winner in FFVIII, gets to retire to a seaside property with his hot former sorceress wife. A man's dream.

Well yeah, they're all fricking children. What would you expect of an 18-25-year-old?

FF8 is filled with realistic women
    >Rinoa, a fricking prostitute that hopped from Seifer to Squall, is a needy b***h
    >Quistis falls for her student but accepts losing the Squallbowl
    >Edea's eggs dried up and has to be a mommy for orphans and grooms them into being witch killers
    >Julia is a fricking prostitute and fricked Rinoa's dad because she gave up on Laguna coming back
    >Raine falls for Laguna after he gives her the slightest ounce of attention
    >Ellone is blackpilled
    >Ultimecia wants everything to stop existing because people were mean to her

Like the childish, selfish, unempathetic, destructive morons all women are.
Humor their minor curiosities and ignore them regarding anything important to minimize their ability to frick things up for everyone.

If that is true then also admit that Seifer is an accurate dentition of a man.

And you can get OP from it, so why complain? RPGs are about options, right?

I liked its overall emphasis on areas that felt like actual levels compared to the other PS1 FFs and most JRPGs. The tomb where you get the Brothers GF was cool.

Fat chance, Triple Triad itself always felt like it devolved into unga bunga shit.

I liked its overall emphasis on areas that felt like actual levels compared to the other PS1 FFs and most JRPGs. The tomb where you get the Brothers GF was cool.

      This mostly-ish.
The actual areas, "dunegons" or cities, felt very engaging in comparison to any other jarpig I've played.
However, I have issues with the world map feeling a bit too railroaded between areas of interests, unlike say IX where you're constantly going back to previous points of interests or have you wandering around for shit.

Yeah IX's world extrapolated on itself really well, you'd go places just because you could get there. It flows well as a game to the point that I don't even remember a lot of the story, it's more incidental to playing it.

Not if you actually tried to do the queen of cards quest. Even following a guide, it's fricking terrible.

That was by far the best part of the game. One of the few FF games with actual freedom to explore stuff. Too bad the plot eventually makes it all null in Disk 3. The whole game should have just been SeeD missions and free exploration.

Yeah Quistis stopping being their teacher and joining them felt odd. She honestly seemed like a university TA or grad student teaching a class than a full prof.

Well, her backstory is that she was a child prodigy who became a SeeD at 15 and was pushed into being an instructor. That made her unhappy because all she really wanted was to be a normal kid.

All the characters end up doing it. Zell, Selphie, Seifer, Rinoa, Irvine and Squall all mess up something because of their emotions. It's not just a female thing. It's the writer, who is male btw.

Seifer never had sex with Rinoa
He was a sigma male who just wanted to chivalrously defend a woman who was in need
He wanted to defend someone who needed protecting - to put his life on the line for someone worth protecting that nobody else would stand up for. His entire life was a LARP of the Laguna movie he saw and idolized.
