Raids and the story was good, but the plot twist of them killing themselves left me unsatisfied. Also I'm one of the few people that heavily disliked the idea of the twelve being Venat followers and was more into the idea of the PLANET itself granting them life and their life form were some sort of way of the planet to combat Meteion dynamis if Zodiark failed, which is why the final days weren't so bad. And making the planet itself somewhat sentient and capable of giving birth that acts according to the planet own designs. This could also lead into what the frick the garleans are and why they lack the ability to use magic making them somewhat the chosen people like the israelites are in bible or something.

With purchases out of the way, regardless of anything else, A Realm Reborn is the biggest piece of dogshit. Everyone is hateable, nothing makes sense and it's boring. Heavensward is a complete revamp and has a story reminiscent of old FF Games and it's really good. Stormblood is meh but it's got some cool moments. ShadowBringers is possibly the best thing that Final Fantasy has ever made and EndWalker tries to wrap up the story they've been making for the past 13 years. Combat is just generic MMO slop, nothing too crazy, if you don't like interacting you can get NPC's to join ur party to frick up dungeons. There's a frick ton of things to unlock and it never feels pay to win, you get some cool features if you out of your way and do some quests. Overall it's good,

buying the game right away was a huge mistake, considering the new trial lets you play until the end of stormblood you could pump out months worth of playtime without spending a single penny or having to worry about wasting your subscription if you don't feel like playing. you could embrace all the possible side content, level every job and crafter using the XP buff bonus all without having to worry about ANYTHING. if you can i'd refund and go for the free trial but considering you had to make the mogstation account and activate all the shit in there its probably impossible to get a chargeback so yeah. anyways, the game is cool until it sucks once you get good at it / run out of things you enjoy doing, it used to be good but now its going downhill and it keeps accelerating. community is just a bunch of larping trannies pretending to be women in a video game, you're not allowed to say anything remotely offensive or criticizing or you'll get banned, everyone seems absolutely mental and socially inept and so on, have fun

Anon, to jump shards, the Crystal tower had to be retrofitted with a modified artificial Garlond-brand Alexander in the basement, and it can't do it a second time.
It also fricked up and went 100 years earlier G'raha had planned.
Pump the CT with enough aether and it can do anything is pretty much what the game has said.
Doesn't help though that the writers have seemingly forgot the CT was originally built to act as a solar panel to absorb and store radiant aether from the Sun. And instead just keep treating it like a big antenna.
Theoretically all they have to do is like wait a few weeks and the CT will be full of enough aether to send anyone anywhere now that Graha knows how to control it.

So until the writers decide it's time to do ANY of that, probably after either we finish Tural's political crisis and possibly fix Meracydia after, Y'shtola is not going to remember that Garlond + Crystal Tower = Shard travel and actually start from there.

It doesn't work when they are summoned. They aren't fully summoned to the Source, their soul is just temporarily bound to a prepared shell. When the shell is destroyed, they are banished back to the 13th instead of being killed.
