look this part of the game was really fun but these lil b***hes did not get a lot of character design time for how prevalent they were and how addictive the zoo was, the devs could've just put a lot more work in and made it awesome, but instead they are frankly just hideous and I should know.
Its got a lot of weird mechanics in regards to how they evolve/what traits are inherited in their kids and such, enough that its a bit weird for a little side minigame.
Chao garden is brilliant, we all know that, but I don't think anyone'll be upset over them mainstreaming the frick out of raising chaos, will they? Speed up the process and such, but give more things to do with 'em
I hated how grindy raising the frickers was. If the chaos drive and animal glitches didn't exist I'd have dropped the game long before getting the emblems.
I wouldn't have minded it if the game itself was built for grinding, but it's the same missions over and over. And it doesn't do you any favors by limiting your resources to TEN when you can get upwards of 50+ on some stages. And you can't even bank them. Play a new stage? All your stuff is gone

if it wasn't glitched rail jumps, it was bouncing off the fricking giant metal robots with red caps and plumetting to your death
and who could forget the corridor at the end of the level where the platforms fall, forcing you to restart the level from scratch if you fall off.

aren't both of chaotix's final fortress mission just collecting the keys? you might be mixing it and grand metropoilis' normal mission together. egg hammers do suck shit though it's best to use fire dunks even while the armored ones are on their backs. too many times i've used a normal attack only to have the power character fly back into the hammer and lose rings. also with rails you won't fly off if you aren't holding the grind button as you change, it's weird but heroes just has some fricked physics in general yes i do have no life and have A ranked every mission

There are certain parts that require you to beat all enemies to progress. the points also help with A-rank. >also with rails you won't fly off if you aren't holding the grind button as you change
afaik it's got to do more with your speed and momentum. hence the foolproof way is to switch to the fly character, let go of the stick, and press and hold jump
