Accidentally came across a missingno during a pokedex completion in HG/SS.
Anyone know how to look this one up/what its name is? I cant find any information it.

I don't think DS has specific Missingno as far as I'm aware, also did you have any cheats active?

So, before I go. I should note that how I got it is unlisted on the wiki page for it.
So, to repeat my steps. I'm post endgame, beat red, had the credits roll.
I loaded up, flew to oak to get my kanto starter, and then flew to cherrygrove city to run to mr pokemon to get the sapphire orb for kyogre.
At that point, it was the first pokemon I encountered.
Caught it, next two pokemon in the wild were normal. I'll go ahead and see if it simulates the other characteristics listed on the wiki page.

weird, you would think that would be a common thing for people to do right after beating red. did you talk to mr pokemon before or after the encounter?

load game
run outside
fly to E4
fly to pallet
talk to oak
get a charmander
fly to E4
fly to cherrygrove
run up through grass
encounter the missingno
I have it save stated just for the sake of coming back to it, but the party is 6/6.

Try exporting the save to a different emulator and see if you can replicate it

To everyone wandering in, no I was not using cheats. I also listed my exact steps.
Heart Gold, and all of its characteristics line up with the glitch pokemon from gen IV listed somewhere in the middle of the thread.
