Do we have any recommendation charts specifically for action RPGs? Looking for stuff to play but have gone over most of the known stuff.

Try Ys 8.
Legacy of the Wizard is pretty good.
>anime shit already mentioned
Try Risen 1/3 OP. Or Witcher 1 if you haven't played it. Maybe Dark Messiah?
Thanks, for context here are the series of games I played:
>All Fromsoft games (including the old ones)
>Monster Hunter
>Dragon's Dogma
>Nier/Drakengard
>All CD Project games
>All Vanillaware games
>All Arkane games
>Outward
>Yakuza
>All Bethesda and Obsidian games
>Folklore
>Vagrant Story
>Granblue Fantasy Relink
>Outward
>Mass Effect
>Gothic
>Kingdom Heards
>FF VII Remake
>Nioh
>Lies of P
>Supergiant games
>Kingdoms of Amalur
>Deus Ex
Favorite ones in terms of combat were probably Dragon's Dogma, Monster Hunter, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Tales of Arise, Kingdoms of Amalur, Odin Sphere, Granblue and Dark Messiah,
>wants arpgs
>hasn't played a single falcom game
What?
maybe he wants good arpgs.
>hasn't played a single falcom game
it's called being based...
>Favorite ones
>Kingdoms of Amalur
nevermind, he's a homosexual.
I hate weebs so much.
I just never really heard people recommending the games too often or heard what really makes the games distinct. On top of that the games all feature the same character so I'd pretty much have to start with the first game, and there's at least ten of them.
The story is shit, but the build variety and combat is fun.
Sell me on the Ys games. The seem rather geeric.
They are. Not sure why the hardcore fans shill it to death. They are solid games, nothing groundbreaking.
Ys origin was fun, I did skip 98% of the story though.
They are to jrpgs what sonic the hedgehog is to platformers. I can't take anyone that hasn't played ys 8 seriously.
They are more fun than they have any right to be. They aren't masterpieces until you find yourself trying to find similar games and go "huh, Ys was actually pretty fun"
What games are they the most similar when compared to the ones on this list:
And what are the differences between Ys and the closest one?
I think the most similar one would be Kingdom Hearts. Both have good music, a simple combat system that can be described as mahsy but it actually feels good to play and control and an over the top JRPG plot that's actually charming. Don't expect Ys to wow you away with its production values because they pale in comparison.
Compared to KH, Ys games are always new adventures with the same protagonist so you can play whichever one looks better to you. The older titles are on the shorter side too, focusing their replayability on things like Nightmare mode.
They're extremely generic. Do not listen to the fanboys.
The latest entries are similiar to the best ARPGs you had back then on PS2:
Dark Chronicles
Dark Cloud
Rogue Galaxy
A lot of soul and the feeling of Adventure is superb in these games.
>Vagrant story.
That's not an action pee'g
Kinodom of amalur is ludokino juice you homosexual.
>amalur
>imagine going this far to defend the undefeated poster child of 4.988888 rated mid arpg for 12 years now
>ra salvatore and mcfarlane and 78 mill of rhode island's money and this is the best you could do
>what's schilling up to now..oh breitbart and now fricking up someone's funeral
What the frick
Why
What the frick
What are you doing anon
What is schilling doing
What am I doing
The combat and builds are fun. No one said the story or setting were interesting.

Eye of the dragoon. Beltion beyond ritual. Dawn of magic
its old but i loved brave fencer musashi. day/night cycles, lots of sidequests. less rpg since theres really just items to boost your performance and the stats are improved by just doing actions. its a fun time though
I bought that to play the ff8 demo, lol
that was a bonus for me because that was during the time when id buy anything squaresoft because they just cranked out hits. i was impressed by the demo for ff8 and then hated the game. oh well
For people that already liked Ys i'd also recommend Nayuta no Kiseki.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
I tried that as more of an action-adventure.
Got it, I'll pcik up Ys VII then.
