Why? I don't associate Todd with any success that Bethesda has ever had, he's always just been "there". His death won't be impactful like Iwata's was for what Nintendo became, Bethesda will keep churning out games that don't live up to their predecessors.

I don't think he'll retire after ES6. He'll probably be around for Starfield 2 even.
Yeah, Starfield is his dream game. I doubt he'd want to leave after doing just one installment. There are still guys from the Daggerfall days at Beth who are older than Todd.
People stat in the industry for a long time too. Maybe he'll reduce his role but I don't see him leaving Bethesda for another 15 years.
