Not that anon but koth has the problem that it's hard to justify doing anything other than heading to the objective over and over, which is monotonous since its the same location again and again. This is because the objective is always going to be closer to you than the enemy team.
In 5cp you can head towards the enemies control point, but often find opportunities to flank the enemy team which is closer. So flanking becomes naturally encouraged, and since that can happen anywhere between the two control points, than means flank opportunities and consequential fights can happen anywhere in the map, instead of funnelling all that shit to a single location, making things more interesting.
5cp has problems for sure, but they are very conditional and, if valve knew what they were doing, could be fixed. However when those problems don't prop up it is easily the most fun gamemode.

This game only works when everyone was kind of shit. Its incredibly frustrating when good scours and snipers are in the lobby.
Both of those classes can shut down the entire lobby and you almost feel like you can’t play
Pyro is also just frustrating but least that class isn’t strong enough to be frustrating and shut down everyone
you'd think pyro wouldn't have the strength, but the jetpack he gets made me watch in pure seethe as my team fricking ignored the pyro jumping behind them and just kept going forward then die because the pyro actually knows how to aim

i just went to harvest and i was the highest scoring player as mini sentry engie with something like 15 / 2
I even made a cozy little safe place on the roof and begged the snipers to use it but the morons just went to the exact same place and died over and over. The other team obliviously caught up to it and the team did fricking nothing, i even had demoknight running into level 3 sentries lmao
