And there is also the problem that the old version let me experience characters I haven't played. This new one is somehow lamer because of the limit of Modifiers I can use.
Been playing for 3 weeks, hit the recurring dream wall lvl 70-79. Should I roll and invest in all the A/S ranks I have to push content or save resources for the 2.0 powercreep? I assume missing out on 100-200 gem each week is better than rolling S rank you dont like just to clear content. Currently have Asura, Hera and Jin-ei.

The Athena one looks very low effort compared to her default one. I think they are using different artist for every outfit. The new character looks great. Even if it is an outfit I have a soft spot for eyepatches.

Anyone finish reading Chapter 12? Definitely one of the longest pieces of writing Aether Gazer shat out, but it was extremely gripping and intriguing. In fact, there's a video that plays when you start that explain Aether Gazer's office that does a much better job introducing the organization than anything that came before. I... might consider it a better entry point than reading the prior chapters. But if you want my recommendation to help digest Chapter 12, I think Red & Green would be good to read since it has some parts that play a major role. Then, Father, Son, Duel foreshadows Chapter 12 all the way at the epilogue, so maybe you want to skip through to see that? They're both unnecessary and more like a supplement though.
Had a bit of a hard time following the end of 12 pt2, was the ending just Skuld burning everything she had to load a savepoint right before (we) found her the first time?
If you continue and finish pt3, it becomes a lot clearer. Skuld was seeing the future of the entirety of Part 1 and 2 and had never left the facility, nor had she actually physically met (You) yet. Each time she makes a save point, she burns her own memories, and she has been making save points to save (You) over and over. By that time, she's run out of memories to burn, but found the solution to taking down Uld. The thing is, the only opportunity she has to make use of that solution is when she first encountered Uld outside, before she met (You).

So let me get the straight Odin knew what happened within the contained dream/future. All the events that happened she is aware because she can also see but unlike Skuld she cannot go back to a "save point". Which is what differs her future sight from Skuld (think of Katana Zero). That's why in the "real world" she was able to preemptively avoid the events with the possibility that Uld will be weakened to the point he can't do his memory alteration. This also lets Odin sense alterations in time and space and promptly detect the mysterious character. Admin is also implied to be an "Administrator" of this virtual space back in the double real world or something. Welp engaging so far.
Odin is also an ancient modifier so it's very likely that both Urd and Skuld were results of them trying to replicate Odin's power, which makes it easier for her to realize what was going on.
Even funnier than that, Odin was fully aware she was being observed in a dream during Parts 1 and 2 of Chapter 12, so she immediately killed herself to prevent anyone from getting any information on her. She could've easily resolved the Uld problem on her own, but since she knew it wasn't really happening and someone might be trying to dig info on her, she gave them absolutely zilch and chose to die.

Do NOT farm trace of the waves for Ausar, it gets bricked post her powerup, they have a line about it in the tier list.

Yeah, level 3 requires SS to unlock and her signature functor to work, otherwise you can only get the first 2 level. People usually don't recommend Ausar + Thor comp as first priority to raise for a reason, since you need to invest quite a bit for it to actually work. Same thing with Skadi ice comp later.

She falls into the common problems with all other modifiers that got the upgrade, deals bigger damage but still not good enough to put them on pair with the newer characters, especially with her clunky mechanic. Only Ausar, Skadi and Okuninushi upgrades were good enough for them to catch up with the current meta.

Sovereign works better on Ausar. Most of the new event limited sigil sets from 2.0 onward are tailored to work with their specific modifiers and rarely work well on anyone else.
That person was probably a normal human from Omorfies instead of a modifier, and even less likely to be Odin, especially consider her personality and her capability she would just get rid of him instead of sealing him.

I thought the newer voice lines for Buzenbo when starting and and ending battles are some sort of placeholder for S Buzenbo. It seems that even Tsuku also got them. I think they were additional voice lines they haven't implemented earlier. Just throwing it out there.
B Vert/Zenki, Shu, Buzenbo. If you are f2p you should jut save up since you will need 4 BPs to get enough tokens for one functor. The shop stays and they will add more functors to choose in the future.

Took them a while to add Heimdall's functor, around patch 2.5 ~ 2.7 IIRC, and they haven't added Bastet's yet. No idea about Nuada since I never use him before, and the only time I saw him was in some burst comp for guild bosses.

She is probably one of the real admins of Gaia and could directly rewrite the data, Odin has been searching for her but couldn't find any clue since she is currently outside of the matrix. Skuld was an anomaly which she managed to detect then tracked it back to Admin-kun, who is also probably another admin of the Gaia system.
She's awful for characters and bosses that move a lot since her circle, even with her functor can't really cover the whole map. Hel is one of the best match for her simply because she can just sit inside the circle and nuke shit across the stage with her turret, assuming you are controlling Hel manually.
Hmm on one hand I like his gameplay but on the other he doesn't really combo with any of the other genshin characters..
And then I guess it is Chinese Odin for blue banner and the israelite for yellow one? And then it is the big booby girl for blue..

I think it's the sigil. Her signature sigil is so good but she must pick between damage and supp capability for the 2nd set. Being Omega allows her to pick another one and she scales greatly from stats unlike Hades that got locked with fixed damage.
You know I largely question a design choice about one of Tsuku's skill mechanic. There are several but this really stand out each time I play her. You know the thrust attack that replaces her normal attack cycle after successfully doing an extremity dodge? First off, why does it have a cooldown on the lightning seal mark on that thrust attack? Second, why does it not generate rage? The animation is actually stupid long and awkward, the damage scaling sucks for what it is and activating that state delays rage accumulation because just as I said IT DOESN'T GENERATE RAGE so actually doing attacks while getting multiple successful dodges makes the rotation awkward and cripples her rage flow. Removing that stupid cooldown and getting it to generate rage will largely improve her rotation gameplay and is a step in helping her scale with the newer mods. I really have this urge to swim to Yongshi's office and tell the designer to lay off the the crack and baiju wine and stop being fricking moronic.
No, from what I gather synchro update is just a stat bonus addition. She's like this relic that has been carried over from an older game. The point is she needs an update and polish of mechanics to catch up with the newer mods. Not flat out damage increase.

Thor+Ausar and Jinwu+Lingguang are 2 teams. Hades+Hera are another one. Gengchen is pretty flexible support, but you probably want her on chink team to get the chink zone bonus.

As for talking it's not that much but it's an issue with the game, guild conversations are split between mobile players and emulator players. When I play on my phone I see some people's lines, when I login on my PC I see other people's lines, it's like we're split I hate it.
There's no auto but since there's two AI-controlled party members you don't have to play yourself most of the time. Early on yes and for challenges, but once everyone is built and you're just farming you can just start a stage and wait for the clear.

You only need the free functor so 110 rolls. Getting Jinwu stuff isn't worth it since you can already get her to SS with the dream shop, you would need to roll for extra copies if you want to SSS her.
Skadi is a good option if you can get her to SS to go through with her whole synchro stuff. But it also means you will have to invest to Mitsuha and her functor.

The literal first roll in the 10-roll bundle. And the functor I got for just 30 rolls. It's as if the game is urging me to absolutely get Geng Chen. Too bad I don't want to push it and SS her I'm not really fond of Ling.

I just noticed I can get Poseidon's functor from the battlepass. What is the best third slot character if I want to use her alongside Athena? I was thinking Hera but the guide mentions it is the Sonic Boom team and I have already invested in Athena's functor and am using the left codes.

It's just not mandatory, it also changes her rotation completely so it depends on your playstyle. Without it she spends most of her time flying instead of rotating her whole kits, and most people would find the former boring.

I cannot complete level 5. I realize that I have leveled characters that I enjoy and the majority of them are in the 18k-20k CP range but it stills annoys me that I have to chance enemies across the whole stage.
It simply isn't fun. And I know for a fact the Genshin characters will change everything about it.
Day 2 rookie, got 10 more pulls and got guaranteed S-Rank at 40th pull. I looked and her ultimate apparently required the other banner character too. Luckily got her at 20th but now what? Should I just start saving for next banner? How much in general can f2p make per banner?
The other banner character was free but whatever it's still a powerboost to get a dupe that early.
Save for Gengchen now, the third member of the team. F2Ps can usually roll all the characters they want like one every two banners, if you want the weapons too you'll need some luck but it's not a problem, the game is very f2p friendly.
In the event there's some missions to unlock Jinwu, like finishing the latest story (you don't need to do the previous chapters), logging in for three days, farming currency, etc.
I see. Maybe I'll skip cutscenes and see if I can get some event benefits too. Looks like I can redo stages at 0 cost to swigs so I can experience story later.

It's something like run up skill 2 tjem skill 3. While flying, you just swing(mashing actually) until you fill the sun mark then skill 1. Then skill 2 after you got divine grace. Rinse and repeat while flying.

You don't actually need to fill all the marks before using her s1, especially when you don't have her functor, only do it once in a while to fill her divine grace for a full powered s2, you can just rapid firing her skill 1 whenever you get 3 mark otherwise.

Full powered skill 2 always give shred so I don't see why not you wouldn't want it. It's not like you hit fast enough to spend marks while waiting skill 2 cooldown.

In general I think the ninja cat is better when one of the team Modifiers has a chain with the Modifier you are controlling. But I've been using the techno one ever since I rolled Athena and I enjoy it a lot more. I've been using it on Thor as well but maybe the ninja is better. Anubis too but he is in a very shitty spot because his partner is Sobek.
My issue is charging divine grace before flying to get the max damage bonus. If I evade before finishing the normal attack string I don't get the sun stacks, and I swear S2 doesn't give me any sun shit ever it's a lie.

I would just go 2 1 3 with no functor and 2 1 2 3 with functor.

While flying you don't get the damage bonus by charging it, the only point of charging divine grace while flying is boosting the skill 2

I doubt so but eh, You can confer the raw to the sheet if you want to check the char tier and signature functor. The format are consistent to get the gist at least.
izanami and the naginata modifier need their functor as well i think
People did some dps tests with Izanami during her launch, the level 5 f2p Shinou functor did around 80-85% damage of her level 1 signature, so in a sense she works fine with it, but the gap obviously gets widened with SS rank and higher level for her signature so it depends on how much you plan to invest in her. If you don't have a lot of rolls to throw around then Mitsuha + her functor is a better investment instead if you plan to build the Ice Shinou team.

Maybe they will release more endgame stuff when they hit 3.0, currently level 6 chasm is the only place for chink players to test their endgame teams.
Even Ling's functor on the glance doesn't really add that much because the damage and crit damage increase only happen when she cast skill on particular mode. I doubt AI can keep the high uptime for it. She does respectable damage too compared to other powercreeped modifier so the free functor does help contributing to team dps.

I don't think so. Red is only for AoE so it didn't really matter if its the one that got upgraded. The multiplier increases and functor buff is the one that you're looking for on her synchro.

Your normal attack doubles the damage if you're flying instead of walking snf has bigger AoE and great reach so you don't want to land at all since pressing skill 3 while flying will landing your ass.

You would have to invest into another sigil set that spec toward dps and probably ditch her signature function to use the universal one instead.
Worth? probably not since you have enough dps our there, but good buffer is rare enough that people had to settle for someone as unreliable as Heimdall before.
I think you need level 3 or 4, with another +2 from SS. Also decked out sigils with something like 6-8 crit rate and 6 crit damage if you really want to maximize her yellow code build.

I will just check out how much worse Lingguang performs with the red code equipped.
You probably only debuff your teammates on 5% at most since you can't stack the debuff despite how many times you cast skill 2 on quick succession. Yellow doesn't but it does debuff your crit rate by 63% so you need SSS and her functor at least to bump the crit rate so you has some crit chance instead of 1% rate to deal 280%.
Full marks will give you higher divine grace and additional bonus compared to 3 marks. The animation is pretty long so your mash didn't register fast enough if you're landing probably.
so how actually good is Vert with these new upgrades, is it worth investing into her? I could get her sig functor from the BP tokens in the next rotation and she's been sitting at Omega for a while now unleveled, how beneficial would that actually be? would the rest of the team you would build around her also need sig functors to even think about it?
You can build her as DPS with that one code line where her buff only apply to herself, but not many people do that because most people need more Heras, not more DPS.
I just want to say that I don't regret pulling for and investing in Marduk. His utility is very high and helps me clear mobs real easy. Here's hoping he gets a synergy.
Is he good without Sig functor? I acknowledge his utility but at the same time, the effect of his Sig seems far too significant to not have if I'm going to invest in him.
Also, what's the team? Or do you just slap him into any DPS+Support ult-chain duo as a 3rd utility/support?
I recommend the Sig since it's a lot of boost in general. Personally I prefer his red code, while his team boost goes down it still makes up for it with the DPS and mob vacuum for skill 3. Also, yes you are correct in that you can just slap him into any DPS support combo. He can work with the current Chinese mods but my most successful team with him is with Hades and Hera. Marduk is the designated AOE and secondary DPS while Hades does the precision/assassin work. Mind you this is an SS + Sig Marduk I have. But S and Sig works really well.
Also I forgot to add if you are going with the Hades + Hera combo go with Marduk on manual. Hades' AI is good in general and can maximize it's skills. If you are going with Jinwu + Ling then go with Jinwu on manual since she isn't that reliable on AI and Marduk can take care of himself.
It should have been included in the first place. Hopefully any Aster mods has him included on a future team. I don't even know what Yongshi is planning to do with Asterism in the forseeable future and this goes especially with Nile.

1.7. Most 2.0 patches have shorter duration than 1.0 and there were 2 or 3 literally filler patches where the was nothing but rerun banners and story updates.

Healers are fine when you are weak and have trouble dealing with bosses, but fully built characters usually have enough bulk and damage to finish the fights before you have to heal them, there's a few exceptions but running healers aren't recommended late game because you could just run another supporter or dps to clear contents faster. >Ive planned to keep her as Jinwus babysitter tho
Red for general support, blue for fire shred., and pretty much all Tian Yuan comps have to fight for Ling Guang for the support slot.
Most support have heal/barrier or other way to mitigate damage. Lingguang has heal and barrier which will get better when you pick red code. Hera(with signature functor) will have zero time at will with cooldown that basically protects you from any retaliation for a few seconds. And many other supports have pretty good heal bar ookuni. It'll probably change with geng arrival as she's kinda vacuuming bot instead but you get the gist.
Not really sure about it myself but I always assume non-DoT damage is the final damage characters deal while Base damage is the damage before buff and crit are applied.

Watching those videos tend to give you very little insight about the character mechanic until you actually try them yourself then compare it with the videos again. She's leader of CORG special squad, Khnum, who showed in chapter 13 is also with CORG, and judge by her uniform Thoth should too, if you include Anubis and Bastet, for some reason most of the Nile modifiers work for CORG.

I don't know about her functor. When I read the description it sounds kinda weak, but I might be misunderstanding. That said, she generally has energy problems, so it probably helps with that.
For warps, try to get her to SSS because she benefits massively from the extra warp levels.

This build lets you spam the small ice spell. You'll only want to use skill 3 when you have two skill 1 marks.
It also assumes you have Heimdall who has a build to make enemies weak, making Armor Breaker useful.
You could swap out Armor Breaker if you don't run that build. You could also slot in Flashback Core 2 if you want the ability to spam the wide AoE spell.

Like god damn, I swear they throw the bosses that kill npc allies first. The last boss being the easiest is annoying. Also Zenkibou was really strong. Having essentially unlimited snipes is pretty dumb.
The roguelike gets better as you upgrade the system in it. Personally I am trying to go for the original/main cast trio and I am unable to do so. If I start with Ver I always get the useless and suicidal Osiris no matter what and if I go with Zenki I get Asura.
And there is also the problem that the old version let me experience characters I haven't played. This new one is somehow lamer because of the limit of Modifiers I can use.
Been playing for 3 weeks, hit the recurring dream wall lvl 70-79. Should I roll and invest in all the A/S ranks I have to push content or save resources for the 2.0 powercreep? I assume missing out on 100-200 gem each week is better than rolling S rank you dont like just to clear content. Currently have Asura, Hera and Jin-ei.

At most you only miss 4 pulls by the time 2.0 rolls in. Not worth the cost since thor & ausar are expensive to build.

The change isn't as big as Kagu or Tyr but it's far from being the same as her A version.
It's nice that the upgrade strips them instead of overdesign bullshit. She'll probably get overdesigned skin anyway so it's really breath of fresh air for once.

Anyone finish reading Chapter 12? Definitely one of the longest pieces of writing Aether Gazer shat out, but it was extremely gripping and intriguing. Highly recommend you set aside a day to go through it. It's a cut above everything that came before. If anyone doesn't wanna read, I can attempt a summary.

The thing is, Chapter 12 is a complete standalone. It holds up completely withouy prior knowledge. In fact, there's a video that plays when you start that explain Aether Gazer's office that does a much better job introducing the organization than anything that came before. I... might consider it a better entry point than reading the prior chapters. But if you want my recommendation to help digest Chapter 12, I think Red & Green would be good to read since it has some parts that play a major role. Then, Father, Son, Duel foreshadows Chapter 12 all the way at the epilogue, so maybe you want to skip through to see that? They're both unnecessary and more like a supplement though.

If you continue and finish pt3, it becomes a lot clearer. Skuld was seeing the future of the entirety of Part 1 and 2 and had never left the facility, nor had she actually physically met (You) yet. Each time she makes a save point, she burns her own memories, and she has been making save points to save (You) over and over. By that time, she's run out of memories to burn, but found the solution to taking down Uld. The thing is, the only opportunity she has to make use of that solution is when she first encountered Uld outside, before she met (You).

I love her already I thought I would hate the chinks first impression. I think it would just stay with the initial three. The others especially gaywind genshin ripoff, I'm on the negative side of the impression scale.
So let me get the straight Odin knew what happened within the contained dream/future. All the events that happened she is aware because she can also see but unlike Skuld she cannot go back to a "save point". Which is what differs her future sight from Skuld (think of Katana Zero). That's why in the "real world" she was able to preemptively avoid the events with the possibility that Uld will be weakened to the point he can't do his memory alteration. This also lets Odin sense alterations in time and space and promptly detect the mysterious character. Admin is also implied to be an "Administrator" of this virtual space back in the double real world or something. Welp engaging so far.
Odin is also an ancient modifier so it's very likely that both Urd and Skuld were results of them trying to replicate Odin's power, which makes it easier for her to realize what was going on.
Even funnier than that, Odin was fully aware she was being observed in a dream during Parts 1 and 2 of Chapter 12, so she immediately killed herself to prevent anyone from getting any information on her. She could've easily resolved the Uld problem on her own, but since she knew it wasn't really happening and someone might be trying to dig info on her, she gave them absolutely zilch and chose to die.

There is no reason to use Tyr over Jinwu unless you really like the former for whatever reason. His ult chain partner being Kagu is ass in comparison to Jinwu and Lingguang.

It's part of the synchro system they added in 2.0 to buff outdated modifiers. It has 3 level, first level buffs their skills, 2nd level upgrades the codes and 3rd level upgrades their functor.

Yeah, level 3 requires SS to unlock and her signature functor to work, otherwise you can only get the first 2 level. People usually don't recommend Ausar + Thor comp as first priority to raise for a reason, since you need to invest quite a bit for it to actually work. Same thing with Skadi ice comp later.

She falls into the common problems with all other modifiers that got the upgrade, deals bigger damage but still not good enough to put them on pair with the newer characters, especially with her clunky mechanic. Only Ausar, Skadi and Okuninushi upgrades were good enough for them to catch up with the current meta.
If you aren't willing to go balls deep on Ausar then it's better to just wait for 2.0 modifiers. Beside she is still usable with the first 2 level buff, just not as good as she could be.
It is a damn shame they are not upgrading/changing their kits as well. Hel looks amazing but her gameplay is so pathetically boring. Skadi ..is the same.
It's quite obvious that they rather spending time and resources working on new modifier than tweaking old ones, small studio and all. So the best they could do is changing the numbers and hope it would improve the situation.

Sovereign works better on Ausar. Most of the new event limited sigil sets from 2.0 onward are tailored to work with their specific modifiers and rarely work well on anyone else.

B Vert/Zenki, Shu, Buzenbo. If you are f2p you should jut save up since you will need 4 BPs to get enough tokens for one functor. The shop stays and they will add more functors to choose in the future.

Took them a while to add Heimdall's functor, around patch 2.5 ~ 2.7 IIRC, and they haven't added Bastet's yet. No idea about Nuada since I never use him before, and the only time I saw him was in some burst comp for guild bosses.

She is probably one of the real admins of Gaia and could directly rewrite the data, Odin has been searching for her but couldn't find any clue since she is currently outside of the matrix. I think she isn't great with mobile characters because Heimdall is one of the recommended characters for Hel teams.
She's awful for characters and bosses that move a lot since her circle, even with her functor can't really cover the whole map. Hel is one of the best match for her simply because she can just sit inside the circle and nuke shit across the stage with her turret, assuming you are controlling Hel manually.

I think it's the sigil. Her signature sigil is so good but she must pick between damage and supp capability for the 2nd set. Being Omega allows her to pick another one and she scales greatly from stats unlike Hades that got locked with fixed damage.

You know I largely question a design choice about one of Tsuku's skill mechanic. There are several but this really stand out each time I play her. You know the thrust attack that replaces her normal attack cycle after successfully doing an extremity dodge? First off, why does it have a cooldown on the lightning seal mark on that thrust attack? Second, why does it not generate rage? The animation is actually stupid long and awkward, the damage scaling sucks for what it is and activating that state delays rage accumulation because just as I said IT DOESN'T GENERATE RAGE so actually doing attacks while getting multiple successful dodges makes the rotation awkward and cripples her rage flow. Removing that stupid cooldown and getting it to generate rage will largely improve her rotation gameplay and is a step in helping her scale with the newer mods. I really have this urge to swim to Yongshi's office and tell the designer to lay off the the crack and baiju wine and stop being fricking moronic.

There's no auto but since there's two AI-controlled party members you don't have to play yourself most of the time. Early on yes and for challenges, but once everyone is built and you're just farming you can just start a stage and wait for the clear.

You only need the free functor so 110 rolls. Getting Jinwu stuff isn't worth it since you can already get her to SS with the dream shop, you would need to roll for extra copies if you want to SSS her.

Day 2 rookie, got 10 more pulls and got guaranteed S-Rank at 40th pull. I looked and her ultimate apparently required the other banner character too. Luckily got her at 20th but now what? Should I just start saving for next banner? How much in general can f2p make per banner?
The other banner character was free but whatever it's still a powerboost to get a dupe that early.
Save for Gengchen now, the third member of the team. F2Ps can usually roll all the characters they want like one every two banners, if you want the weapons too you'll need some luck but it's not a problem, the game is very f2p friendly.

Completed Ch4 and she's deleting everything so I haven't really figured out how to play her in air well. It goes like this right-
Press skill 3 at max divine grace, keep tapping normal attack with skill 2 on cd and skill 1 when blaze mark maxed out then skill 3 again when divine grace max out alongside blaze marks as finisher?
It's something like run up skill 2 tjem skill 3. While flying, you just swing(mashing actually) until you fill the sun mark then skill 1. Then skill 2 after you got divine grace. Rinse and repeat while flying.
You don't actually need to fill all the marks before using her s1, especially when you don't have her functor, only do it once in a while to fill her divine grace for a full powered s2, you can just rapid firing her skill 1 whenever you get 3 mark otherwise.
Full powered skill 2 always give shred so I don't see why not you wouldn't want it. It's not like you hit fast enough to spend marks while waiting skill 2 cooldown.

In general I think the ninja cat is better when one of the team Modifiers has a chain with the Modifier you are controlling. But I've been using the techno one ever since I rolled Athena and I enjoy it a lot more. I've been using it on Thor as well but maybe the ninja is better. Anubis too but he is in a very shitty spot because his partner is Sobek.

I doubt so but eh, You can confer the raw to the sheet if you want to check the char tier and signature functor. The format are consistent to get the gist at least.
People did some dps tests with Izanami during her launch, the level 5 f2p Shinou functor did around 80-85% damage of her level 1 signature, so in a sense she works fine with it, but the gap obviously gets widened with SS rank and higher level for her signature so it depends on how much you plan to invest in her. If you don't have a lot of rolls to throw around then Mitsuha + her functor is a better investment instead if you plan to build the Ice Shinou team.

I usually try to get SS and functors on characters I really like. My problem with Aether Gazer is the lack of end game.
Maybe they will release more endgame stuff when they hit 3.0, currently level 6 chasm is the only place for chink players to test their endgame teams.
Even Ling's functor on the glance doesn't really add that much because the damage and crit damage increase only happen when she cast skill on particular mode. I doubt AI can keep the high uptime for it. She does respectable damage too compared to other powercreeped modifier so the free functor does help contributing to team dps.

I don't think so. Red is only for AoE so it didn't really matter if its the one that got upgraded. The multiplier increases and functor buff is the one that you're looking for on her synchro.

Modelling fluffy tail is hard. I think foxe is japs mythology and they decide to adapt deities from everything except chinks. I guess there's no concept of deity on chinks.

Worth? probably not since you have enough dps our there, but good buffer is rare enough that people had to settle for someone as unreliable as Heimdall before.
You need to take red instead of blue so she can take the brunt since red improves the survivalability.

I am pretty sure you not only need her signature but also need a very high level of it.
I think you need level 3 or 4, with another +2 from SS. Also decked out sigils with something like 6-8 crit rate and 6 crit damage if you really want to maximize her yellow code build.
I will just check out how much worse Lingguang performs with the red code equipped.
You probably only debuff your teammates on 5% at most since you can't stack the debuff despite how many times you cast skill 2 on quick succession. Yellow doesn't but it does debuff your crit rate by 63% so you need SSS and her functor at least to bump the crit rate so you has some crit chance instead of 1% rate to deal 280%.

S2 animation drops her to the ground so you have to cancel it with a dash + normal attack.

Full marks will give you higher divine grace and additional bonus compared to 3 marks. The animation is pretty long so your mash didn't register fast enough if you're landing probably.

You can build her as DPS with that one code line where her buff only apply to herself, but not many people do that because most people need more Heras, not more DPS.

I just want to say that I don't regret pulling for and investing in Marduk. His utility is very high and helps me clear mobs real easy. Here's hoping he gets a synergy.
Is he good without Sig functor? I acknowledge his utility but at the same time, the effect of his Sig seems far too significant to not have if I'm going to invest in him.
Also, what's the team? Or do you just slap him into any DPS+Support ult-chain duo as a 3rd utility/support?
I recommend the Sig since it's a lot of boost in general. Personally I prefer his red code, while his team boost goes down it still makes up for it with the DPS and mob vacuum for skill 3. Also, yes you are correct in that you can just slap him into any DPS support combo. He can work with the current Chinese mods but my most successful team with him is with Hades and Hera. Marduk is the designated AOE and secondary DPS while Hades does the precision/assassin work. Mind you this is an SS + Sig Marduk I have. But S and Sig works really well.
Also I forgot to add if you are going with the Hades + Hera combo go with Marduk on manual. Hades' AI is good in general and can maximize it's skills. If you are going with Jinwu + Ling then go with Jinwu on manual since she isn't that reliable on AI and Marduk can take care of himself.

Asterism gen-zone is a mix of different mythologies, so they can use that for some less known/popular myths instead of creating various gen-zones:
Nuadha (Irish),
Kali, Asura (Hindu),

if they take the lesser known ones and shove them into Asterism I'm fine with that, any excuse to flesh out that gen zone, but I do think Roman and maybe Celtic are big enough to be their own and do something different with them

Healers are fine when you are weak and have trouble dealing with bosses, but fully built characters usually have enough bulk and damage to finish the fights before you have to heal them, there's a few exceptions but running healers aren't recommended late game because you could just run another supporter or dps to clear contents faster.

Red for general support, blue for fire shred., and pretty much all Tian Yuan comps have to fight for Ling Guang for the support slot.
Most support have heal/barrier or other way to mitigate damage. Lingguang has heal and barrier which will get better when you pick red code. Hera(with signature functor) will have zero time at will with cooldown that basically protects you from any retaliation for a few seconds. And many other supports have pretty good heal bar ookuni. It'll probably change with geng arrival as she's kinda vacuuming bot instead but you get the gist.
What's the difference between non-DoT DMG and Base DMG?
Not really sure about it myself but I always assume non-DoT damage is the final damage characters deal while Base damage is the damage before buff and crit are applied.

Honestly I just glanced at her posts being mentioned here and I assumed she's physical. Didn't know we finally have a light DPS. I am trying to find info on some of her gameplay through youtube but I still don't get her mechanics. Maybe after finding another video which has the breakdown instead of this guy droning on about some unrelated shit.
Watching those videos tend to give you very little insight about the character mechanic until you actually try them yourself then compare it with the videos again. For example Zhiming has branching mechanic for her skills and those gameplay videos give me literally zero idea about her combo rotation.

She's leader of CORG special squad, Khnum, who showed in chapter 13 is also with CORG, and judge by her uniform Thoth should too, if you include Anubis and Bastet, for some reason most of the Nile modifiers work for CORG.

I don't know about her functor. When I read the description it sounds kinda weak, but I might be misunderstanding. That said, she generally has energy problems, so it probably helps with that.
For warps, try to get her to SSS because she benefits massively from the extra warp levels.

Slot 3 - EM Flux, Telepathize Forcefield I
Slot 4 - EM Flux, Telepathize Forcefield I
Slot 5 - Kinetic Mod, Armor Breaker
Slot 6 - Kinetic Mod, Armor Breaker
This build lets you spam the small ice spell. You'll only want to use skill 3 when you have two skill 1 marks.
It also assumes you have Heimdall who has a build to make enemies weak, making Armor Breaker useful.
You could swap out Armor Breaker if you don't run that build. You could also slot in Flashback Core 2 if you want the ability to spam the wide AoE spell.

Heimdall just needs Obelisk of Light Sigil set effect to apply weak.
Her having functor helps buff your team's damage but is not necessary.
