Tbf Oneiroi makes you kinda had to manage divine grace because of their pair ultimate gives you 100 divine grace instead of converting it to 50 for charge attack. But Hel kinda mid for stage that doesn't need AoE.
You need to ram up the difficulty higher and higher to increase more deviation levels but at one point it probably become a massive slog to go through. There's also some kind of weekly missions that give deviation exp too.

Once I build ~60 DV with first stance I just switch to the second, if you cast skills on cd, dodge cancel and spam auto attacks you can easily stay in the 50-60 DV range.
It is better to not auto attack and switch to the other stance instead?

Honestly don't pay attention to transcend level unless you are whales. Athena is probably the only char you may consider it since it makes her less of a pain to use, but for most of the S ranks out there it's a luxury instead of being optimal.

Yes. Athena requires her signature functor if you wish to ignore her combo count and enemy attacks, since it gives her super armor during her gimmick.
All mods scale the same way; their functor rank goes up by +2 when they are SS, which affects how their functor scales. Athena's scales well (both damage and resource consumption), which is why the CN guide says she wants SS to do damage on par with high dps mods like Tsukuyomi or Hel.
To address your second question; Ling Guang's Functor scales well also, increasing the team's crit, elemental damage, gimmick proc chance, buff duration, etc etc by 2.5% per rank. So getting SS with her is a big deal.
With Hades, her SS scales the fixed damage on her Dual doll attacks. It's nice but not gamebreakingly nice, since Hades has a lot of power baked into her base kit.
After SS, SSS scales Sigil skill level, and Omega lets you equip 1 extra set of sigils. These are universally good on just about every modifier, for obvious reasons.
So apparently the game has a 120fps option since the last patch, but it only works on some devices.
My Poco F5 phone doesn't support it somehow and on an emulator the dropdown options didn't work.

I have been playing for several months now and I still have no idea about the setting, story or anything similar. Is Hades a villain? How are alts explained in story? Who is the big bad?
Hades is a boss from different company I think. Aether Gazer is a company with (you) as the field commander that responds to Shu. Tyr is the boss from other division on the same company with (you). The big bad isn't really explained until later, so you just kinda running around for now. >alt

Game's kind of brutal. Losing a single 50/50 with double hard pity fricks you over permanently. I can see why this game isn't doing well even in China.
At least the rate isn't sub 1% dogshit like all other games copied genshin gacha system. And the weapon/functor gacha is much more merciful than those.
It's just gacha in general, not like those game with the "tradition" 150/200/300 spark systems are any better if you get fricked by shit luck and have to hit full pity for them back to back.
Combine that with non stop S ranks they pumped out every patch, not even Honkai Impact dare to do that unless they giving the S rank for free every now and then
Honkai rips your ass open with its gear gacha and every dam new characters, either free, gacha, SP or S ranks, are borderline worthless without their signature stigmas and weapons, I quit that game after years of playing because I can't keep up with its hellish gear gacha anymore.
IMO the designs in Honkai started going to shit after HoV showed up. Before, we had a nice sci-fi vibe that was colorful and wasn't overly gritty and/or mecha-y like a lot of chink games released even after Honkai. As everyone started turning into Herscherrs (or something comparable), the game started to look more and more like those...other Chinese(?) games you'd see in ads. The ones with wings, and fancy armors/weapons, and they wouldn't SHUT UP ABOUT THEIR COMBAT POWER.
Seriously though, I miss the good old days of White Comet and Scarlet Fusion. Why couldn't we get a Honkai clone that actually built on early Honkai's aesthetic instead of GFL's? (PGR looks like a blend of GFL and Nier:Automata, while AG looks like a middle ground between HI3 and PGR, but leaning more towards the latter-doesn't help most of the early characters wouldn't look all that out of place in GFL if they were handed a gun)

Shu will be added to the yellow ticket pools, same as S Levi before. Other "limited" characters (Ausar, Hades, Hera, Skadi) are added to the limited pool after their pickup period is over, they can spook you if you are rolling the blue tickets banners, but they won't appear in the yellow banners. Meanwhile the 2 advance limited characters (Hel, Tsuku) aren't available anywhere until their reruns.
This honestly is moronic as frick, I assumed they wanted to try the same shit as Genshin limited characters but had to change it after they realized people wouldn't put up with that garbage again, but it was too late to change the whole system, so we ended up with this convoluted mess.
Are you not supposed to share Sigils between characters in this game? You can bind them to faction and then individual characters, which gives them 40% more stats.

The orbs are buff for the boss attack, hit them with an attack to destroy the orbs. Normally you can only destroy 1 orb (the other one will enter invulnerable phase) but sometimes you can destroy both with Mod that has large AoE attack.

In my guild, we have 3 whales that provide SSS Hera, SSS Osiris and SSS Tsukuyomi.
I always borrow Hera or one of the SSS damage dealers when trying out teams every weekend to increase my score.
My contribution is SS Asura , people do use it occasionally since I get coins in the mail.

Omega Hades means I beat the game and no longer have to play it
First few runs will give you extremely shit amount of exp due to low risk plus lack of exp buff.
After a few runs to unlock most of the beacons and whatnot, it becomes faster, but overall it will take around 6~10 runs depend on how much shit you want to stack in your runs.
Enchants are a completely separate system from the default skills on a given sigil in a specific slot, so prioritize getting the right sigil in the right place before you go slapping enchants on it

Reality is that solo Tsukuyomi and Hades are still some of the best if not the best characters in the game and they both still lack a dedicated S rank support(where the frick is S Buzenbo?!), also the game has 0 competition and you already have ppl in here doing the hardest content with a F2P solo Hades.
I'm the one that does the Solo Hades, imo it's hard to counter Hades because of how her kit works, the dmg is wtv it can be creeped even though it's absurd rn on Global but the fact almost everything she does is done by an external source, meaning her puppets, that are independent of her makes her extremely safe to play because you can dodge most of her skill animations at any time and they still keep doing dmg, she also has a somewhat on demand slow that is so strong it might as well be a stun for its duration and is ranged, this all makes her extremely safe to play something most other characters will never have. She's also extremely fun to maximize and play imo.

I disagree. Duos and Trios are fun. I'd play Punishing Gray Raven if I wanted a fun game to solo. Aether Gazer is too slow placed with no mobility options, the characters all jog towards the enemy with no forward momentum attacks (movement options) to reduce the non attack downtime and most of the characters are button mashers with no counter skills. Thank god for Shu's arrival, I hear she's the most technical character Aether Gazer has to offer. I will try soloing again when she's available.

There is nothing fun or amazing about soloing with Hades, a character who stands in one spot forcing their minions to do all the workload. If you find that to be fun, engaging, and absolutely next level action combat, then you might die from a brain aneurysm once you play a console action games like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta.

New ice japs char do something like multiplies your allies ice damage by 10 times or something. I've seen clips Poseidon doing her thing on modified mode and suddenly boss exploded with 10M damage.

My danchou kicked me out! Or maybe our guild self-sabotaged and i didn't even know it. Had he wanted me to do the guild boss he should not just let the difficulty stay 'easy' forever. The rewards are shitty anyway. The only message in the guild chat was one guy who posted a sticker and didnt even say a thing more. I joined a new guild that is free to join. Also I'm not rolling for shu.

I think I made a mistake rolling for Hades. Shu is actually fun and the counter is easy to grasp just press skill 2 or 3 during green mode with the right timing and she starts the counter. Blue is for chaining skills which flows as continuous damage. The regret starts here.
I did, but I didn't really understand her. She turns into a Jet Ski and apparently had a counter, but I couldn't activate it and didn't bother reading her skills since I didn't have her.
You need to be in defense stance and use skill 2 or 3 at the right time.
I think you're supposed to be able to switch mid skill also but not sure how.
I would try to learn her if she looked worth the effort, but she's super weak even if you're a god
Any time during s2, s3, s2-2, or s2-3 you can use s1 to toggle to defensive. So from offensive, you can do something like s2, s2-2, just before being hit, press s1, and that causes her to counter.
You need 7 rage to toggle during an animation.
Shu is gorgeous(her outfit is probably my fav in the game) and really fun to play but it's almost impossible to warrant wasting rolls on her.
She is way harder to play than other characters because of her counters, then on top of that even if you have hands for her she's straight up inferior to Tsukuyomi, then to make matters even worse she also NEEDS her sig like Tsukuyomi. Seriously this character is worthless without her signature if you want to play her for real.
On top of that she needs to commit to her dmg, you can't dodge skill animations at all like Hades, AND on top of that her counter animation cancels the animation of the skill you were doing at that time, which imo is what makes her feel extra shit to play, it should just have been an external attack so she could keep doing her S2/S3 dmg and not being punished for the counter.
Kinda sad they couldn't give her more dmg than Hades(more than deserved for a melee character that needs to commit to her dmg and requires skill) and a better counter.
Also her enhanced S1 is clunky af, sometimes you just stand there spamming S1 while doing nothing and it doesn't work lol.
Tl;dr- She's looks amazing and is fun to maximize, but clunkiness of her kit and numbers make her not worth it at all.
Tsukuyomi is the same element, resource and also sig dependent but shits all over her for half the work.
I've played Shu 2 hours in that new MD now and I don't actually think she's clunky, but I agree that the counter should include the damage from the cancelled attack.
She does feel fun to play and although she hasn't fully clicked for me yet I already find her super satisfying. Use a single basic attack to discover if it can be used instead of causing a stance swap.
She's not clunky it's just her enhanced S1 that's clunky, since for some reason the game sometimes changes stance without doing her enhance S1, rest works fine.
Oh she's also "clunky" in the sense of her skill animations having long ass animations which will sometimes makes them miss a portion of the dmg, for example the fat dude in the trial likes to jump and i missed her enhanced S1 multiple times because he just jumps towards me while i jump towards him lmao, there's a lot of bosses with instant blinks in the game so i can only imagine how bad it must feel when that happens, similar to Tsukuyomi S3, but at least Tuskuyomi S3/3 can be cancelled and you don't lose it.

This is because Shu's still in S2/S3 animation. She can counter way after the hit ends since it has a huge winding down window, which seems intentional.
Shu will always do enhanced S1 after a basic attack though, unless you spec into the tree that causes that to change stance as well. There are 2 enhanced S1s, defensive is the counter and offensive is the teleport attack.
No real end game and terrible characters that pale in comparison to Hades. Why would I even need to roll for anything else when she aces the game and will continue to do so?

If you have her Signature, you can counter off her counter i.e.
Activate S2/3, swap when attacked, counter triggers, stance is green
Swap during counter, stance is blue, counter animation still playing
Swap to green when attacked during counter animation, Shu will counter again
This gets Shu two marks

Yes. I played on CN. Shu is my favorite character. She's the most technical character in Aether Gazer. The RNG gods blessed me with SS in 30 pulls. I'm aiming for SSS Shu. I have 20 days to collect Stars+I bought the 30 day Star Login. My Verthandi is already SSS from the Vert event a few months ago and if I keep pulling she might get Omega.

I'm moronic can someone tell me how to fight the singer? She puts up a shield and then I do no dmg to her. I tried killing the whale but the targeting system is so fricked it keeps bringing me back to the chick
The optimal way is bring her to modified mod and burst her down to skip her shield phase, but if you can't do that then you have to chase and kill her whale to break the shield. You can switch your lock on target to the whale but you have to keep yourself close to it or it will switch back to the boss since that piece of shit loves to submerge itself.
I legit have no idea how to block. It feels so alien to me. I only want to know one thing - if you learn how to play Shu properly does she start doing respectable damage or is she still underwhelming? Not Hades tier of course but something like Tsukiyomi or Jin?
Well, I guess I will have to postpone her Functor a bit because I also want to get Athena. Does she work with the neutral one? I think the current battle pass reward is what I have in mind.
I should have been clearer. Shu's SS only affects her counter damage if she has her signature functor. It lets Shu counter off her follow ups, follow-up off her counters, counter off her counters, and follow-up off her follow ups.
e.g. with functor:
Blue stance, S2, follow-up, toggle to green, get attacked, counter
e.g. without functor
Blue stance, S2, follow-up, toggle to green, get attacked, use dodge.
Hope that's understandable. The double counter/followup is done by toggling twice during the counter/followup animation, i.e. green > blue > green or blue > green > blue
Athena's functor makes you have super armor after hitting 5 timing attacks:
It generally makes her easier to play. You could play Athena without her functor first, and see how it feels. If you can manage it, then you can delay the functor for later.
How to play Shu properly(with sig, don't play Shu without sig, seriously don't even bother):
DO NOT roll for SS, you can get shards for her SS for free on the RD shop.
Try to never use her normal S1 unless you have a lot of rage or need an extra dash to reach enemies, it's a waste of time that you could be using to build rage with normals.
Her counter is the 2nd most damaging skill she has, it does almost the same amount of dmg of an enhanced S1, don't sleep on it, learn what can and can't be countered(yes sadly some things can't be countered).
Don't bother too much with counters vs normal mobs, the reason for that is that said mobs get staggered all the time, so more often than not your skills will stop their attacks.
Her normal S2 is slower than her normal S3, and the reverse is true for the enhanced versions where S2 is faster than S3.
Wait until the end of the animations to cancel back to the offensive stance when doing the usual enhance skill> S1x2 rotation if possible, that way you can ensure you're safe when doing the enhance skills animations because you spend the majority of it's animations inside the defensive stance, which will counter most attacks.
If the counter is first you still get another enhanced skill so always swap back to offensive when she's doing her counter, if you see another attack coming you can do the mythic double counter which is rare but also her highest form of DPS.
The rotation is usually normal S3> if you have enough rage for both> normal S2> enhanced S3> enhanced S2> S1x2> enhance S2(reverse the enhanced for AOE situation, so in single target you want to focus doing the enhanced S2 more often and in AOE the enhanced S3 more often, they do almost the same dmg).

Nope, but it's attacks that do no dmg(like CC attacks) and some ranged attacks like the pillar traps of that yellow boss don't get countered, honestly dunno why they made it like this, anything that does dmg should've been countered.

I am pretty sure she is the worst one because of the fact she is the hardest one to play correctly. The game just isn't made for this type of character.
This chink tierlist supposedly is a recommended priority to build character list. Shu is described in this list as having the highest skill ceiling in the game, and that she can't easily solo stages if you aren't good at playing her, so she's t2 since you can build the easier characters and just steamroll content.

If you have her functor, you can get 2 tokens in 1 skill by pressing skill 1 twice to use the follow up attack again. Or counter twice in a row. Or a mix between them.
I noticed that Hera is coming back soon, should I max out her functor and roll for a few more copies? Sounds like a good investment since she is still tier 0 on CN. I have 7 in Fierce assault and Berserk so the sigil skill +1 from SSS is tempting me every day.
No other mod gives me a raging boner like Hera so I really want to give her the best, but doing so might reduce my chances when rolling for Thor if RNG screws me over.

What Hera does is increase the damage of any modifier in her team and add more zero time. If you think you need this then why not? Otherwise, getting SSS doesn't do anything for gameplay.
I decided to complete the new chapter for fun. Why is the story so bad? I actually do feel like this is also one of the reasons why the game isn't doing well.
I've done at least 3-4 surveys. Why do they always ask if I am willing to pay for current unit and if I like and have a problem with the English voice pack? Why are there no questions about the PC client or we enjoy the game or not?
This game isn't going anywhere and frankly I cannot see the not-genshin characters saving it either.
It's just shit, all the content, old or new, is just boring and repetitive.
They should have focused more on new bosses and coop. What I wanted to see was mmo tier raids
Snowbreak game modes take a very long time to do. The shitty coop modes take 10+ minutes to clear and you have to do them 8 or so times a week. The last event had a shitty weekly wave defense mode that took 20+ minutes per run.
5 is enough to cap the weekly point if you do it with the x2 daily boost, and unironically the coop shit is the only fun thing to do in that game, everything else just bored me to dead. Mixing TPS with HI3 style gameplay is a mistake, everything becomes insanely repetitive fast.
And AG currently has some kind of dogshit event with the old roguelike as a base. I don't really get it.

Athena isn't appealing if your goal is to have the strongest units, since she's only about as storng as Tsukuyomi if you play her well. Her main draw is her rhythm mechanic.

Apparently she buffs skill dmg a lot. But requires signature functor to make buffing not aids and her buffs are mainly suited to ranged/stationary characters.
They completely gutted the chance of S grade ones showing, before this patch i got it all the time, sometimes even 2-3-4 in a row, now after this patch i go days on end without seeing a single one.

The story is non-existent too. The characters themselves feel disconnected from it, super strange.
They found Izanami in the datafile so chance that the actual Himiko isn't playable (The trailer didn't show any of her gameplay footage) and Izanami is her modifier form.
Next CN patch is 2.5 but her loading screen suggests she will be released for 2.6, so it's another month to go.

I actually do not get Shu. I've seen a lot of people mention she can chance stances at will but sometimes I cannot do it. And then sometimes she keeps changing her stance instead of using the 6 stacks attack.
Shu changes stance by using S1 during S2 or S3 animation. S2 and S3 have very long cooldown animations. Empowered S1 can only be used when not in S2 or S3 animation. Keep practicing and you'll get it eventually.

The rhythm game is kinda brutal. I know it's babby mode compared to dedicated rhythm games but I don't really play those and this game as me only go up to 92 percent accuracy. The hardest difficulty on genshit doesn't compare to this. I dread the next set of songs.

I used to dislike the Orochi bossfight. Now I absolutely have a burning hate of it. The transition part really drags the fight for no other reason but to make you mad. It's especially highlighted in hazard grudge level 20. I pray the second boss rotates to a different one or I'll lose it.
Hazard grudge requires 2 teams. 1st stage has you face a dual boss fight (Zero and the AGI robot) which has 80x health each. It then continues on to the second boss fight, which right now is the Orochi. I don't know if it's the same for everyone but I absolutely hated it.
Make sure to have the duo bosses stick together always and have all your AOE attacks hit both. You must at least have 3 minutes and 20 seconds left for the second stage because that's how I finished it. Or just upgrade shit as the other anon said but there's no way to spend swigs to farm those shit and is timegated. It's the waiting game from here on out again.

in other modes we had unlimited time so we could get away with half built units.

I am close to winning as a f2p, just need to fully lv both teams. Should be easy, i think most people are struggling because they only have 1 good team + 1 scuffed team.
for first fight, stack the bosses together as often as you can to double your DPS with aoe. You want to buy as much time as possible for 2nd fight
Of my two teams, I put Hera on the one with the weaker main dps. That balanced each team a bit more and I felt like that helped.
If you have an hour to spare you can farm 2200 exploration in the spirit mode. That will give you achievements for like 80-100 of the new lvl 60 sigil material.
i cleared 20, but says in my guild rankings that i only beat 15...so idk
and also the leaderboards are full of cheaters again. theres no way a dude with 1lvl 80 and 2sub60 cleared it omega 20... no way
Their HP is literally doubled of grudge 15 and you have to use 2 teams which would cripple a lot of people who pour everything they have into Hades team and only have a half baked 2nd team.

claiming this week rewards and further upgrading hades' wraps and leftover mats on poseidon/hera seems to make a huge difference, probably can't clear 20 so i just skip it for now
huh it's actually easier than 19, my first team haven't had their sigils upgraded past lvl40 (leviathan, ausar, asura) took quite awhile, but then mega fed hades just murdered the second boss asap
if you have one path of the aether code complete, ie full red, or full blue, or full yellow, you get increased damage.
theres also a warp where it says you need to get 1 point in each color, and then you get dmg increase.

at lvl 1 you get 2x15 so 30 in total, which is great for starting to get stacks, but at lvl2 you get 2x30 so 60, which is not optimal, and at 3 you get 2x45, which is straight up trash if you use her with the red aether code, ie the moron detector
the main guide has all the warps for modifiers
but it doesnt say how much you need to level them. but as i said, as long as you have some frontal lobe developement, you just know

max level of each individual warp is 3
max warps you can have active in each stage is 2

Bad timing for rerolling since neither rate up characters are particularly strong. Athena requires huge investment to be good and Tyr, aside from being male, is just mediocre overall.
But if you want to reroll to have a decent start then try to get Athena from the limited banner.
I mean, there isn't much to see besides fight. Stories representation is meh, so does the plot. Characters besides the design are just chinese cookie cutter.

here proof, with hades you can literally clear the first 2 bosses sub 2mins, then you gotta get some luck with the final boss using tsukuyomi, but first time around i beat it with like 13 seconds left. todays reset i had like 1 min left, but almost died (frick the lasers)
hera, tsuku, s poseidon all have their main access key.
only hades, hera and tsukuyomi have the sigils reconstructed to their respective modifier, all the others have it to the genzones.
so yeah, when i see some dudes clearing this with underleveled hades team and really subpar second team, i will question the legitimacy of it.
on todays leaderboards those guys from yesterday are "surprisingly" gone

I just went ahead and checked and you aren't then person I had in mind, looney. The guy is currently rank 7 or 8 and isn't even using Tsuki.
I would just run a few low - medium risk runs to clear the missions for free exp, then bump the risk to max and finish the runs before the 2nd boss, much faster than slog through it.
I hate how this game become more slopfest than before. This game used to be my comfy turn-your-braibn-off-and-have-fun game but now this game is like another generic grindy chinkslop gacha now.
Grudge level 20 is awesome.
It forced me to properly enchant sigils and build my teams.
My dps is much higher now and even normal farming is comfy.

Tbf Oneiroi makes you kinda had to manage divine grace because of their pair ultimate gives you 100 divine grace instead of converting it to 50 for charge attack. But Hel kinda mid for stage that doesn't need AoE.
You need to ram up the difficulty higher and higher to increase more deviation levels but at one point it probably become a massive slog to go through. There's also some kind of weekly missions that give deviation exp too.
they should've reduced it to 2 floors, but i guess there isn't enough there to make it feel like you did an actual roguelike build that way

Once I build ~60 DV with first stance I just switch to the second, if you cast skills on cd, dodge cancel and spam auto attacks you can easily stay in the 50-60 DV range.

I noticed that some units have high transcend level dependency. lingguang has S in that category, does she really get much better with higher level transcendence? Hades has C , so uhh not much damage difference between S rank and omega rank?
Honestly don't pay attention to transcend level unless you are whales. Athena is probably the only char you may consider it since it makes her less of a pain to use, but for most of the S ranks out there it's a luxury instead of being optimal.

Yes. Athena requires her signature functor if you wish to ignore her combo count and enemy attacks, since it gives her super armor during her gimmick.
All mods scale the same way; their functor rank goes up by +2 when they are SS, which affects how their functor scales. Athena's scales well (both damage and resource consumption), which is why the CN guide says she wants SS to do damage on par with high dps mods like Tsukuyomi or Hel.
To address your second question; Ling Guang's Functor scales well also, increasing the team's crit, elemental damage, gimmick proc chance, buff duration, etc etc by 2.5% per rank. So getting SS with her is a big deal.
With Hades, her SS scales the fixed damage on her Dual doll attacks. It's nice but not gamebreakingly nice, since Hades has a lot of power baked into her base kit.
After SS, SSS scales Sigil skill level, and Omega lets you equip 1 extra set of sigils. These are universally good on just about every modifier, for obvious reasons.
So apparently the game has a 120fps option since the last patch, but it only works on some devices.
My Poco F5 phone doesn't support it somehow and on an emulator the dropdown options didn't work.

Hades is a boss from different company I think. Aether Gazer is a company with (you) as the field commander that responds to Shu. Tyr is the boss from other division on the same company with (you). The big bad isn't really explained until later, so you just kinda running around for now.

IMO the designs in Honkai started going to shit after HoV showed up. Before, we had a nice sci-fi vibe that was colorful and wasn't overly gritty and/or mecha-y like a lot of chink games released even after Honkai. As everyone started turning into Herscherrs (or something comparable), the game started to look more and more like those...other Chinese(?) games you'd see in ads. The ones with wings, and fancy armors/weapons, and they wouldn't SHUT UP ABOUT THEIR COMBAT POWER.
Seriously though, I miss the good old days of White Comet and Scarlet Fusion. Why couldn't we get a Honkai clone that actually built on early Honkai's aesthetic instead of GFL's? (PGR looks like a blend of GFL and Nier:Automata, while AG looks like a middle ground between HI3 and PGR, but leaning more towards the latter-doesn't help most of the early characters wouldn't look all that out of place in GFL if they were handed a gun)

Shu will be added to the yellow ticket pools, same as S Levi before. Other "limited" characters (Ausar, Hades, Hera, Skadi) are added to the limited pool after their pickup period is over, they can spook you if you are rolling the blue tickets banners, but they won't appear in the yellow banners. Meanwhile the 2 advance limited characters (Hel, Tsuku) aren't available anywhere until their reruns.
This honestly is moronic as frick, I assumed they wanted to try the same shit as Genshin limited characters but had to change it after they realized people wouldn't put up with that garbage again, but it was too late to change the whole system, so we ended up with this convoluted mess.

The orbs are buff for the boss attack, hit them with an attack to destroy the orbs. Normally you can only destroy 1 orb (the other one will enter invulnerable phase) but sometimes you can destroy both with Mod that has large AoE attack.

How many runs are needed?
First few runs will give you extremely shit amount of exp due to low risk plus lack of exp buff.
After a few runs to unlock most of the beacons and whatnot, it becomes faster, but overall it will take around 6~10 runs depend on how much shit you want to stack in your runs.
Does it matter which sigil I use for enchantments? As in should I be looking for enraged in a specific slot, say 1, 3 etc.
Enchants are a completely separate system from the default skills on a given sigil in a specific slot, so prioritize getting the right sigil in the right place before you go slapping enchants on it

Reality is that solo Tsukuyomi and Hades are still some of the best if not the best characters in the game and they both still lack a dedicated S rank support(where the frick is S Buzenbo?!), also the game has 0 competition and you already have ppl in here doing the hardest content with a F2P solo Hades.
I'm the one that does the Solo Hades, imo it's hard to counter Hades because of how her kit works, the dmg is wtv it can be creeped even though it's absurd rn on Global but the fact almost everything she does is done by an external source, meaning her puppets, that are independent of her makes her extremely safe to play because you can dodge most of her skill animations at any time and they still keep doing dmg, she also has a somewhat on demand slow that is so strong it might as well be a stun for its duration and is ranged, this all makes her extremely safe to play something most other characters will never have.
She's also extremely fun to maximize and play imo.

I disagree. Duos and Trios are fun. I'd play Punishing Gray Raven if I wanted a fun game to solo. Aether Gazer is too slow placed with no mobility options, the characters all jog towards the enemy with no forward momentum attacks (movement options) to reduce the non attack downtime and most of the characters are button mashers with no counter skills. Thank god for Shu's arrival, I hear she's the most technical character Aether Gazer has to offer. I will try soloing again when she's available.

I think I made a mistake rolling for Hades. Shu is actually fun and the counter is easy to grasp just press skill 2 or 3 during green mode with the right timing and she starts the counter. Blue is for chaining skills which flows as continuous damage. The regret starts here.

Any time during s2, s3, s2-2, or s2-3 you can use s1 to toggle to defensive. So from offensive, you can do something like s2, s2-2, just before being hit, press s1, and that causes her to counter.
You need 7 rage to toggle during an animation.
Shu is gorgeous(her outfit is probably my fav in the game) and really fun to play but it's almost impossible to warrant wasting rolls on her.
She is way harder to play than other characters because of her counters, then on top of that even if you have hands for her she's straight up inferior to Tsukuyomi, then to make matters even worse she also NEEDS her sig like Tsukuyomi. Seriously this character is worthless without her signature if you want to play her for real.
On top of that she needs to commit to her dmg, you can't dodge skill animations at all like Hades, AND on top of that her counter animation cancels the animation of the skill you were doing at that time, which imo is what makes her feel extra shit to play, it should just have been an external attack so she could keep doing her S2/S3 dmg and not being punished for the counter.
Kinda sad they couldn't give her more dmg than Hades(more than deserved for a melee character that needs to commit to her dmg and requires skill) and a better counter.
Also her enhanced S1 is clunky af, sometimes you just stand there spamming S1 while doing nothing and it doesn't work lol.
Tl;dr- She's looks amazing and is fun to maximize, but clunkiness of her kit and numbers make her not worth it at all.
Tsukuyomi is the same element, resource and also sig dependent but shits all over her for half the work.
I've played Shu 2 hours in that new MD now and I don't actually think she's clunky, but I agree that the counter should include the damage from the cancelled attack.
She does feel fun to play and although she hasn't fully clicked for me yet I already find her super satisfying. Tsukuyomi, for example, is simple in comparison and whiffing her S3 deletes her dps for the duration of its CD.

Use a single basic attack to discover if it can be used instead of causing a stance swap.
She's not clunky it's just her enhanced S1 that's clunky, since for some reason the game sometimes changes stance without doing her enhance S1, rest works fine.
Oh she's also "clunky" in the sense of her skill animations having long ass animations which will sometimes makes them miss a portion of the dmg, for example the fat dude in the trial likes to jump and i missed her enhanced S1 multiple times because he just jumps towards me while i jump towards him lmao, there's a lot of bosses with instant blinks in the game so i can only imagine how bad it must feel when that happens, similar to Tsukuyomi S3, but at least Tuskuyomi S3/3 can be cancelled and you don't lose it.

This is because Shu's still in S2/S3 animation. She can counter way after the hit ends since it has a huge winding down window, which seems intentional.
Shu will always do enhanced S1 after a basic attack though, unless you spec into the tree that causes that to change stance as well. There are 2 enhanced S1s, defensive is the counter and offensive is the teleport attack.
I now understand why this game is semi-dead.

Best tip I have for S Shu is S1 isn't just a toggle but an attack as well. As long as you have the rage, S1 should always be on cooldown. When in Green stance, using S2/S3 and then immediately toggling to Blue will let you use their follow-ups, so there's no reason to hold on to S1, since it can't be used as a counter.
When fighting multiple enemies, always have S2 or S3 (or followup) available so that you have a response to any incoming damage. You are invincible during counterattacks so it doesn't matter how many attacks are incoming, you just have to counter once.
I mentioned this above as well but if you can't be sure that S2/S3 animations have ended so you can use empowered S1, basic attack or dodge, then S1.
That's all I've got based on experimenting with her so far.
If you have her Signature, you can counter off her counter i.e.
Activate S2/3, swap when attacked, counter triggers, stance is green
Swap during counter, stance is blue, counter animation still playing
Swap to green when attacked during counter animation, Shu will counter again
This gets Shu two marks

The optimal way is bring her to modified mod and burst her down to skip her shield phase, but if you can't do that then you have to chase and kill her whale to break the shield. You can switch your lock on target to the whale but you have to keep yourself close to it or it will switch back to the boss since that piece of shit loves to submerge itself.

Does Shu require SS or is it perfectly fine if she is S? I wasted one final 10 roll and got my Hades to SS and my Jin-ei to SSS with it.
SS makes her counters, which are her hardest hitters, hit harder. The main thing everyone complains about her is lack of damage, so SS helps.

I should have been clearer. Shu's SS only affects her counter damage if she has her signature functor. It lets Shu counter off her follow ups, follow-up off her counters, counter off her counters, and follow-up off her follow ups.
e.g. with functor:
Blue stance, S2, follow-up, toggle to green, get attacked, counter
e.g. without functor
Blue stance, S2, follow-up, toggle to green, get attacked, use dodge.
Hope that's understandable. The double counter/followup is done by toggling twice during the counter/followup animation, i.e. green > blue > green or blue > green > blue

It generally makes her easier to play. You could play Athena without her functor first, and see how it feels. If you can manage it, then you can delay the functor for later.

How to play Shu properly(with sig, don't play Shu without sig, seriously don't even bother):
DO NOT roll for SS, you can get shards for her SS for free on the RD shop.
Try to never use her normal S1 unless you have a lot of rage or need an extra dash to reach enemies, it's a waste of time that you could be using to build rage with normals.
Her counter is the 2nd most damaging skill she has, it does almost the same amount of dmg of an enhanced S1, don't sleep on it, learn what can and can't be countered(yes sadly some things can't be countered).
Don't bother too much with counters vs normal mobs, the reason for that is that said mobs get staggered all the time, so more often than not your skills will stop their attacks.
Her normal S2 is slower than her normal S3, and the reverse is true for the enhanced versions where S2 is faster than S3.
Wait until the end of the animations to cancel back to the offensive stance when doing the usual enhance skill> S1x2 rotation if possible, that way you can ensure you're safe when doing the enhance skills animations because you spend the majority of it's animations inside the defensive stance, which will counter most attacks.
If the counter is first you still get another enhanced skill so always swap back to offensive when she's doing her counter, if you see another attack coming you can do the mythic double counter which is rare but also her highest form of DPS.
The rotation is usually normal S3> if you have enough rage for both> normal S2> enhanced S3> enhanced S2> S1x2> enhance S2(reverse the enhanced for AOE situation, so in single target you want to focus doing the enhanced S2 more often and in AOE the enhanced S3 more often, they do almost the same dmg).

I am pretty sure she is the worst one because of the fact she is the hardest one to play correctly. The game just isn't made for this type of character.
This chink tierlist supposedly is a recommended priority to build character list. Shu is described in this list as having the highest skill ceiling in the game, and that she can't easily solo stages if you aren't good at playing her, so she's t2 since you can build the easier characters and just steamroll content.

I noticed that Hera is coming back soon, should I max out her functor and roll for a few more copies? Sounds like a good investment since she is still tier 0 on CN. I have 7 in Fierce assault and Berserk so the sigil skill +1 from SSS is tempting me every day.
No other mod gives me a raging boner like Hera so I really want to give her the best, but doing so might reduce my chances when rolling for Thor if RNG screws me over.

What Hera does is increase the damage of any modifier in her team and add more zero time. If you think you need this then why not? Otherwise, getting SSS doesn't do anything for gameplay.
Some modifiers really want SSS to come online like Ice Poseidon with the +resource generation skills upgrade, but Hera isn't one of them.
I have an omega hera and didn't regret it. Sounds like you won't either, but you could always keep 28k reserved for thor.

Snowbreak game modes take a very long time to do. The shitty coop modes take 10+ minutes to clear and you have to do them 8 or so times a week. The last event had a shitty weekly wave defense mode that took 20+ minutes per run.
5 is enough to cap the weekly point if you do it with the x2 daily boost, and unironically the coop shit is the only fun thing to do in that game, everything else just bored me to dead. Mixing TPS with HI3 style gameplay is a mistake, everything becomes insanely repetitive fast.
And AG currently has some kind of dogshit event with the old roguelike as a base. I don't really get it.
And I still don't get it. Who is the target audience for Oceanus? I can understand his "son" and the rest of the male Modifiers but I am still completely lost with him.

Athena isn't appealing if your goal is to have the strongest units, since she's only about as storng as Tsukuyomi if you play her well. Her main draw is her rhythm mechanic.

There's never been any hype in China or Global due to the appearance of playable male characters. What's more, it's almost EoS after Hades patch because the next patch has a male banner, not just one but 3 times in a row. That's what Yongshi got by playing with fire by making a waifu action game but including male characters because they wanted to follow Genshin. Snowbreak almost followed the AG/Genshin trend too but they decided to remove the playable male character.
How is Snowbreak doing now? I remember playing it when it launched but eventually forgot about it.

It's increases melee damage I think. It replaces nibelung if you main her.

The owl is if you main her for proper rotation and maximize the cone. If she's not controlled and paired with Hera, just stick to Nibel.

I actually do not get Shu. I've seen a lot of people mention she can chance stances at will but sometimes I cannot do it. And then sometimes she keeps changing her stance instead of using the 6 stacks attack.
Shu changes stance by using S1 during S2 or S3 animation. S2 and S3 have very long cooldown animations. Empowered S1 can only be used when not in S2 or S3 animation. Keep practicing and you'll get it eventually.
So I cannot cancel her animations by swapping?
Technically you can, by swapping to green stance and then getting hit, activating her counter, which cancels her S2/S3 animation.

The rhythm game is kinda brutal. I know it's babby mode compared to dedicated rhythm games but I don't really play those and this game as me only go up to 92 percent accuracy. The hardest difficulty on genshit doesn't compare to this. I dread the next set of songs.

I used to dislike the Orochi bossfight. Now I absolutely have a burning hate of it. The transition part really drags the fight for no other reason but to make you mad. It's especially highlighted in hazard grudge level 20. I pray the second boss rotates to a different one or I'll lose it.
Did the fight go straight to orochi or you need to fight 4 stages of bullshit before it?
Hazard grudge requires 2 teams. 1st stage has you face a dual boss fight (Zero and the AGI robot) which has 80x health each. It then continues on to the second boss fight, which right now is the Orochi. I don't know if it's the same for everyone but I absolutely hated it.

Make sure to have the duo bosses stick together always and have all your AOE attacks hit both. You must at least have 3 minutes and 20 seconds left for the second stage because that's how I finished it. Or just upgrade shit as the other anon said but there's no way to spend swigs to farm those shit and is timegated. It's the waiting game from here on out again.

I am close to winning as a f2p, just need to fully lv both teams. Should be easy, i think most people are struggling because they only have 1 good team + 1 scuffed team.
for first fight, stack the bosses together as often as you can to double your DPS with aoe. You want to buy as much time as possible for 2nd fight
Of my two teams, I put Hera on the one with the weaker main dps. That balanced each team a bit more and I felt like that helped.
If you have an hour to spare you can farm 2200 exploration in the spirit mode. That will give you achievements for like 80-100 of the new lvl 60 sigil material.

its just shows the high score on 19 because I have one gigabuilt team and it's easier to max score there.
i cleared 20, but says in my guild rankings that i only beat 15...so idk

it shows your run with max score, not necessarily your highest level clear

Their HP is literally doubled of grudge 15 and you have to use 2 teams which would cripple a lot of people who pour everything they have into Hades team and only have a half baked 2nd team.

if you have one path of the aether code complete, ie full red, or full blue, or full yellow, you get increased damage.
theres also a warp where it says you need to get 1 point in each color, and then you get dmg increase.

like for hades at 5/6 you get divine grace starting battle.
at lvl 1 you get 2x15 so 30 in total, which is great for starting to get stacks, but at lvl2 you get 2x30 so 60, which is not optimal, and at 3 you get 2x45, which is straight up trash if you use her with the red aether code, ie the moron detector
the main guide has all the warps for modifiers
but it doesnt say how much you need to level them. but as i said, as long as you have some frontal lobe developement, you just know

max level of each individual warp is 3
max warps you can have active in each stage is 2
so you can have 2 warps in each stage at level 3
stage 1/2 are same, 3/4 are same, 5/6 are same and they stack

Bad timing for rerolling since neither rate up characters are particularly strong. Athena requires huge investment to be good and Tyr, aside from being male, is just mediocre overall.
But if you want to reroll to have a decent start then try to get Athena from the limited banner.

I mean, there isn't much to see besides fight. Stories representation is meh, so does the plot. Characters besides the design are just chinese cookie cutter.
I stopped caring a long time ago. Just yesterday somebody mentioned cheaters on the leaderboard and that one guy with a Japanese nickname is 100% doing it. I don't care about the characters he uses but they aren't properly leveled.
They banned a few cheaters last event but left most in, in the end they'll go away on their own because the only players left will be the sunk cost whales.

all my supports (hera and a. verthandi are also decently maxed)

here proof, with hades you can literally clear the first 2 bosses sub 2mins, then you gotta get some luck with the final boss using tsukuyomi, but first time around i beat it with like 13 seconds left. todays reset i had like 1 min left, but almost died (frick the lasers)
hera, tsuku, s poseidon all have their main access key.
only hades, hera and tsukuyomi have the sigils reconstructed to their respective modifier, all the others have it to the genzones.
so yeah, when i see some dudes clearing this with underleveled hades team and really subpar second team, i will question the legitimacy of it.

Spread out for 2 teams are better than focus on 1 team if you want to clear grudge 20 without major hiccups.

I hate how uncomfy the new DV difficulty is, goddamn.
I would just run a few low - medium risk runs to clear the missions for free exp, then bump the risk to max and finish the runs before the 2nd boss, much faster than slog through it.
Roll for the wealth level (dragon icon). Get the fixed dmg decrease treasure. You become basically invulnerable.

Grudge level 20 is awesome.
It forced me to properly enchant sigils and build my teams.
My dps is much higher now and even normal farming is comfy.

Enchanting sigils using that method gave me the quickest results.
Day one grudge 20 was tough but it will only get easier from here because of lv 60 sigils and warp skills.

I had to actively perfect dodge on Tsukuyomi for the free thunder mark to maximize my dps, it was actually pretty fun.
