Call me when they chase a 7's rating and audience and release a full title on SwitchUp
No, I mean they're not getting launched this Gen and kids are going to lose their shit, because they deluded themselves into thinking they'll become a thing so soon.
Dead system with a new one getting launched this year, 2 year wait till new kiddy version and Pokémon's full core launch on it with Gen 10, DLC then you get your childhood remade. 2028, go back to sleep until then.
>thinking they'll delay Gen 10 until 2026 because of muh slightly elevated marketing instead of cashing in on the three year cycle like always.
The machine won't stop for you, manchild. You probably thought they'd use the whole "1000 mons" thing in Gen 10 as well. They shit out a game every year without concerns for your autism anon. Grow up already.
The machine will stop (like it did in 2015) so that they can make even more money by using the 35th anniversary as a massive, massive marketing opportunity to push the brand back into limelight once again. You don't just pass opportunities like that up to shit out a new DLC pack
A new gen anniversary launch won't sell as much as launching two years worth of waves of sales. This franchise doesn't care about your headcanon anon.

>A new gen anniversary launch won't sell as much as launching two years worth of waves of sales.
It's not about sales just from games. The games are literally just a small fraction of the money made from the franchise, the Switch games being only part of that next to mobile games like Go and Masters which make a LOT of money from whales. It's about sales from merch, films all of the related stuff. I'm not saying it'll make the game any better quality wise since it did nothing for Sun and Moon, but they're not going to skip this opportunity to increase mind share and goodwill towards the franchise, especially in an era where there's been increasing scrutiny on the quality of the games in the mainstream with BDSP and Scarlet and Violet. The games will still be average though
They've always launched a new Gen in an anniversary year, not to mention you c**ts were CONVINCED they'd rushed their cycle to get SM out for 20th, because they skipped making a rehash in the Gen before it. DF was delayed, thus kinda forced, but they have historical sales data to compare overall series revenue to non-anniversary new gen release years and they generally make more money hyping the anniversary with a new Gen than just hyping a new Gen normally (because nostalgia, just imagine how much they'll make if they release a full set of Hatachus with 30th anniversary branding alone!). Business 101, it's why Black Friday is now a world-wide thing vs just a burger tradition. Because stores worldwide see offering deals around that time equals more custom in the run-up to the holidays vs losing it to other stores and outlets. Bu8t sure, keep thinking they'll fumble marketing their brand they spent almost 30 years curating to this point in time.
>They've always launched a new Gen in an anniversary year
Ah yes Sinnoh remakes the best new Gen done for the big marketing push of #Pokemon25 >b-but they're missing out on money!
Moreno by not making a game every year. There's always a fresh crop of new seven year olds every Christmas anon. They've done great capitalizing on that for a while.
And who said ANYTHING about it stopping, Let's Go 2 Johto 2024, Let's Go 2 Kanto DLC 2025, with upscaling on SwitchUp and a deliberate hint for people to buy their SwitchUp for 2026.
>muh DLC every other year for six years
Did you not get the memo? They need a new GENERATION every three years to maximize their profits. Your's the same frick who thought PLA would get DLC and stall Gen 9.

Japs don't give a toss about half-decade anniversaries. That was an entirely western effort. Next time you want to predict the brand, look at what the Japs do, they're the only ones that matter. I don't think you appreciate the value of tie-in merch but that's why they even release new merch with every new game they shit out. That;'s why you're trying to dismiss something as significant as the 30th anniversary and infer they'll run DLC AND get the same cash. Doesn't work like that in the slightest. No new Gen until 2026, when they can FULLY capitalise on 30th Anniversary merch sales and tie-ins. >They need a new GENERATION every three years to maximize their profits.
Source? And no, I didn;'t expect a game launched outside their kiddy christmas launch window to get DLC, I knew Gen 9 was happening '22. Which is why I know they wont just shit out Gen 10 in '25 (they wait two years after every new console launch for Nintendo to make them a kiddy unit to sell their kiddy games on. New Switch is coming end of this year, meaning 2026 before the kiddy rehash is ready for sale). Can you stupid bastards learn to look at the big picture when crying over your kiddy games? Because Nintendo don't want them until they're ready for them.

What games do you think are coming next out of curiosity? What would they do in 2025? Maybe a quick Johto game then a Unova game

Honestly, I dunno. But it won't be Unova when that's slated for SwitchUp, just as FRLG was made for GBA, HGSS for DS then they went and gave 3DS and Switch their own remakes.
And who said ANYTHING about it stopping, Let's Go 2 Johto 2024, Let's Go 2 Kanto DLC 2025, with upscaling on SwitchUp and a deliberate hint for people to buy their SwitchUp for 2026.
Based. This game will eternally rape the pokegay. Nothing Shitfreak shows off on Pokemon Day will be half as good as Palworld. I look forward to the cope.

It really will be a shame if the next games that get announced don’t compare to Palworld in any way. If it’s just SV again but in a different region then it’s gonna be bad. I don’t wanna have to deal with a whole year of trolling from the gaming community.

Pokemon would never do something like that. Enjoy your Pokemon Immaculate White and Abyssimal Black, which will be ""faithful remakes"" with worse graphics, and less features

Lol, what kind of delusion is that.
Anyone still buying GF games won't care - if anything they will feel vindicated buying 6 copies just to "own the palgays".
People who gave a shit about official Pokémon games' quality either left drifted away from the franchise long ago (and bought Palworld) or have been playing romhacks for the past two decades (and might have bought Themthem/CassetteBeasts).
The only customers left will buy pokémon games on the sole reason they are pokémon games. That a slightly less turd-y monster catching game is also available won't change shit to their buying impulse.
And considering S&V numbers, GF has 0 fricking reasons to make any more effort than they usually do.
Next game will be as shit or worse than S&V, it will sell as much or more than S&V.
"Best" case scenario they had secret bases back, with lights only going on if you have a Pikachu in your party, and a crafting bench that let you make like 3 crappy items, for which you get a crafting bonus if you have some random shillmon of that gen in your party. GFgays will deem it as "doing Palworld better than Palworld did", and it will be gone the next next Gen.
We've had this thread already OP. No one's gone give you the free (You)s again.

They will just do the usual and say BW was bad all along and that they should've remade BW2 then move onto the hype cycle for the next game
god i hope so
For Kalos' remake they won't be able to say that though since there was no 3rd version kek
Kalos will just get a HD remaster.
so like DP
