wano did so much damage to one piece it's insane
I've actually really enjoyed the current arc. It's going back into the history and showing changes in the world beyond what the straw hats are doing.
i too like the current arc, but only because we now have NTR
Didn't this chapter got a redraw?
The original was about.. Ginny mentioning something "I had sex" or something.
Ginny got caught and raped and her daughter is a half-dragon
>Raising someone's kid because you both survived
>NTR
So what do you think about Adoption then? Is that being cucked too?
third world ESL's do not understand how adoption works because their parents are forced to use them for child labor to survive
It's NTR because the girl he liked was captured, enslaved and raped by an Hyperisraelite 'Noble', and now he's raising the child.
How is that NTR? Isn't that his own daughter?
oh no no no no
lol no. Ginny got abducted by one of the Tenryubito and used as sex slave, contracted some deadly disease and got tossed aside while pregnant.
>Tenryubito
lobotomite zoomer
kys
>contracted some deadly disease and got tossed aside while pregnant
not even that, I thought saturn claims responsibility for that when he explained he would run experiments to see how the things he did to the mother would affect the baby
That's clearly a retcon because they realize ginny was more beloved than they thought
Egghead is the first good post-timeskip arc
Fishman island was barely ok
Punk hazard was dogshit
Dressrosa sucked
Wholecake sucked
Wano could have been cool if it wasn't four times the length it needed to be
Fishman Island was great except for the New Fishman Pirates being lame and Sanji being just awful
Punk Hazard sucked
Dressrosa was good but way too long
Zou/WCI were excellent
Wano was good until the third act came from an alternate fricking universe
Egghead has been great if bloated
Fishman Island was so-and-so.
Punk Hazard was meh.
Dressrosa was only saved by Doflamingo being a chad.
Wholecake was kino, if it wasn't for the absolute fricking garbage clutter that Oda has decided to force it would be one of my favorite arcs with how it makes Big Mom feel like an actual 'Empress'
Wano was the absolute fricking worst arc i have ever seen in an manga ever. Just absolute fricking trash.
I'm convinced that the only reason Wano is so hated because people read it weekly and the pacing killed it for them. I binged it all once it finished and enjoyed it a lot. Same thing happened with Chimera Ant arc in HxH. It was actually disliked quite a bit while it was running and now people say it was amazing. I bet in 5-10 years we'll be saying Wano was also amazing.
I disliked Dressrosa for the same reason back then and I still dislike it now. Wano is no different. Just so much bloat.
you can binge a pice of shit novel and you'd have no opninion on it because you're a speedreading moron
I binge read everything and half the show fricking sucks.
if anything, the pacing problems are still there, every chapter has some sort of cliffhanger these days in Silhouette Piece, the fricking Vegapunk announcement has been happening for weeks now
it really is egregious. It doesn't help that oda is pussyfooting around with the story. The overarching narrative hardly sees any progress
Wano isn't hated by any means.
>inb4 Ganker
It is.
Uh huh and I'm sure Gurrenn Laggan is actually considered overrated alongside Evangelion.
You want to see a hated arc? Look no further than the last 10 chapters of AoT or Bleach's TYBW.
>Gurrenn Laggan is actually considered overrated alongside Evangelion
Not really, they're both good. Wano wasn't.
Nah.
Wano is great until the bloated Onigashima section
the wait is unbearable week to week. it does make you start to hate it. like when a flashback starts and you just dread it cause you just know its gonna last 8 chapters
i read wano all in one shot and found it insanely bloated, it especially suffers because it's next to whole cake
Even without the pain of waiting for each chapter to come out, it's still not a pleasant read. Like it takes Luffy ten-ish chapters to run up some stairs even though he could have just flown up to the rooftop.
Whole Cake Island is what killed it for me, Sanji was such a gigantic homosexual that I just couldn't read it anymore afterwards.
wci and fmi are the only good post timeskip arcs. egghead was good with the kuma and bonney shit but the current chapters with saturn are boring me tbh
>with saturn
homie the elders are ALL there now.
Sanji was a gigantic homosexual in every arc though. He's the worst SH by a mile. I dropped the series when Buggy and Shanks were fighting over who got to give Oden a back rub in any case. The Oden wank was already so unbearable that I genuinely thought the spoilers were a joke, but then the backrub scene actually turned out to be real and I couldn't take it any more. Based on how bad Oda's art seems to have gotten (I've seen pictures of pages from Egghead posted here where I can't even tell what the frick is going on) I don't see any reason to pick it back up.
Oda had to get eye surgery during Egghead
I just skipped to the final battle. Couldn't stand it.
No it sucks. I got to wano when it was nearly finished in the anime and while the art change was interesting at first nothing else about the arc held my attention. I watched/read the lore dumps and the final fight and that's it.
Nah but keep telling yourself that.
Probably because you are a speed reader and you didn't get the hints of foreshadowing. I'm like really. Did you think Shanks just got some random devil fruit. They mention awakens twice before. We were shown mythical zoans before. Luffy's paramecia didn't follow the rules that other paramecia did before. Unless you are really dumb and you think the next chapter is where the Five Elders wins and this not being a major reveal that will rock the world, you didn't understand anything you read before this point. Luffy's character hardly changed with the reveal. It's not as all powerful as people say since it has about the same time limit and weakness as Gear 3rd. Wano can be shorter than it was, yeah, but the reveal didn't fundamentally change Luffy as a character as people claim. He was already son of a revolutionary, his grandpa was in the Marine and the brother of Ace by the time the series started. We just didn't get that information until it was relevant to the plot. Also, complaining about a power up when the series revolves around getting instant power up from eating a fruit is kinda dumb to me.
You forgot the sash that's only used to denote beings that either attained godhood or are close to it, and how that's been a thing since Gear 4.
What actually killed it was the timeskip. Shit like dressrosa being 100 chapters lasting 2 years, and wano being 150 chapters and taking I think 3 1/2. For comparison alabasta was 60 chapters.
The story got too fricking long.
Jewelry Bonney for Straw Hat.
Based. She would be the ideal new crew mate, a worthy successor of the Paw-Paw fruit to stisfy Odas number autism and finally a new female nakama.
>WCI
>excellent
Pick one and only one
WCI has actually been my favorite post-time skip arc. Followed by Punk Hazard.
Wrong post, pal. But WCI was excellent until the stupid Big Mom chase at the end. That's the only thing that dragged it down.
it's the second best post-ts arc after Dressrosa
there wont be a 11th member, the crew luffy has is more than enough.
The son and daughter of two of the revolution founders on the same crew would be legendary.
Kuma and Dragon becoming apart of the same family through marriage would be cute.
What role would she even play? I mean all the Straw Hats have a role
>Luffy - Captain
>Zoro - Swordsman
>Nami - Navigator
>Usopp - Sharpshooter
>Sanji - Cook
>Chopper - Doctor
>Robin - Archeologist
>Franky - Shipwright
>Brook - Musician
>Jimbei - Helmsmen
What would Bonney be?
Cabin Girl or Quartermaster
Same role Buggy and Shanks played on Roger's ship.
>a worthy successor of the Paw-Paw fruit
she already has a fruit
12 years old!
This world is going to sink
Society is collapsing
the world is going to stink *brrap*
Can't believe this trash is an actual main character. Character design went full moron on this one
>waited basically a decade and a half wondering wtf this dude looked like to get albert einstein tongue photo with goofy ass apple head
>"maybe his character is deep and complex"
>is just bland le hecking sciencerino is le epic
Back in the day we called it 'LOLSORANDUM XD'
you forgot the ROFL but yeah us oldgays ehheheh
i was expecting a robot with a human soul, or vegapunk was already dead but was so intensely genius he knew everything that was going to happen in the future and left messages for the straw hats or some shit
just anything other than grandpa's flashbacks and lore hints revealing secrets that have already had obvious plot hints relating to them
you'd think we'd get more information on the fricking big reveal of information: the island but no we get costume DLC for a couple episodes and then the world government fricking nukes it to shit while forcing a straw hat retreat
>seething that a scientist character in a series for children is wacky scientist that thinks science is fun
What OP character is deep and complex?
>and a e-girl sheep robo
>and daft punk
>and a hot tomboy
>ant a hot giant shit machine
>and two gay robo
Vegapunk is cool
damn, i love Atlas, but she probably will die
honestly i can' be bothered to give half a shit about any of these boring c**ts
i guess shaka looks but that's it. vegapunk is just exposition: the character and he's out soon anyway
I must admit, I find it funny that vegapunk turned out to be all of the things fans theorized him to be.
From badass, goofy, a woman, a half-somthing and a robot.
If you think it's cool then why do you post hideous tumblr fanart then?
It doesn't help that his personality is being vague and theorybaiting by going "I didn't know that Kuma's people could do that, well, except THAT one time..."
His personality is well defined and you are brainlet for unironically saying that Vegapunk's character is ""vague"" just because he doesn't write the plot.
That's wan piss for ya
Cope and seethe
>"a certain doctor will have the answer on why devil fruits are the way they are"
>gives some bullshit theory
>dies in the arc he's introduced
>doesn't do anything with franky
Bravo oda, way to deliver on the character everyone's been waiting for for decades
>Thought the direction is going to be east mythology Kino

Cute sheep.
Me likely tall woman
Can you even do a mating press on her?
Anything is possible with enough grit and determination?
Shota or not, size difference is always welcome.
Yeah, most OP's "big" girls exist in that nice happy medium of deliciously tall without being pointlessly huge.
mating press, prone bone, reverse cowgirl position
Imagine..
Sex with York
You have no clue how much I love giantesses who are just bigger than the biggest IRL humans but aren’t literally building sized. I feel like they’re the perfect size.
York definitely has a collection of elaborate Bad Dragon-esque toys, as her main purpose is to alleviate all the Vegapunks necessities and desires.
Eat > sleep > shit > cum > repeat

Endgame right here, Namibros.
>banking on a ship in a ship-free series

Zou orgies are DEFINITELY a thing given how affectionate they are, you really want used goods?
homie I'd jump right in
I ain't a b***h
shes mine hands off
The world is sinking, which is far more shocking than anything regarding the WG or the elders.
How come no one has noticed? Is it one of those "it's sinking 1 inch every 10 years" type of modern science headline that doesn't matter?
>Is it one of those "it's sinking 1 inch every 10 years" type of modern science headline that doesn't matter?
remember water7 and aqua laguna? probably the shit is real deal
Fish-Man Island even has Noah's Arc
Luffy will probably destroy the Red Line to stop this, as prophesied by Madame Shiarley
>remember water7 and aqua laguna? probably the shit is real deal
It's proximity to Ennies Lobby is what's causing that. Lobby is a hole in the world, likely made by the same weapon that destroyed Lulusia kingdom.
>ennies lobby
how the frick that massive hole hasn't been flooded by the ocean?
why the frick is it always midday?
someone explain that shit to me
ridiculous ties
one piece tards defend this kek
nobody defends the length of Wano it was a fricking disaster
Literally nobody can, this is Toei's shounen cash cow so they are never letting it die, especially since its creator, unlike DBZ, is still alive
wano is shit, but still better than all of shit in this pic but dragon ball, yuyu hakusho and hxh
>The most popular anime of all time is being stretched like mozzarella cheese
Nobody defends this, but everyone understands why they're doing it
cant wait for the remake
How the frick can a single arc last 195 episodes? What do the characters even do just stand around for 90% of the episode?
they do the Jojo thing where every single panel is a shot in the anime and so every chapter is dragged out more than it ever should and every sakuga moment is a fricking mess with zero directing so everything takes fricking ages
and that's when they tightened up production! Pre-Wano arcs like DressRosa were even worse with dozens of reused shots (not animations, entire shots) for no fricking reason
To give you an idea. There's a fan project called One Pace that basically takes the entire anime and crunches it down to become faster and some arcs lose like 30-40 episodes of fricking nothing and filler editing
Im just gonna assume it's even more of
>OP lasts 5, ED last 2-3
>"Last episode, on One Piece..." eating 3-5 more minutes
>Stretching a single manga episode which shouldnt last more than 7 in anime time, maybe five to double its size.
I still remember when I checked the final showdown of Doflamingo vs Luffy, that final exchange was just a page, with no dialogue, should have lasted less than 20 seconds, somehow Luffy now struggled to break through Doflamingo's attack for more than 30 seconds, while the camera went through the reaction of every single witness to the fight(20+ people), giving each of them 2 o 3 seconds.
>I still remember when I checked the final showdown of Doflamingo vs Luffy, that final exchange was just a page, with no dialogue
I just reread this chapter today and was shocked at luffy's attack just breaking through. The anime really fricks up the moment by stretching that out, I think they did a similar thing in wano with a fight against some mook being dragged out and making luffy seem weaker than he looks in the manga.
i feel like the anime ruined this whole moment by dragging it so hard. and luffy screams way too much.
Why is a rubber man in pain for being stomped on? And don't say it's haki infused kick.
He's hungry. Fought nameless mooks without food for like 4 days straight.
That doesn't make him not rubber.
it does make him weaker tho. it's not like being rubber makes him invulnerable , it just boosts his resistance to bludgeoning attacks
That foot belongs to a big guy
rubber still has a level of durability senpai wtf.
Unlike your mother, I guess.
based moron
>uh yeah this random nameless cannon fodder mook manages to hurt Luffy with blunt attacks
He's been through worse without pain.
Its the same thing with goku being shot in the frieza movie, power scaling isnt raw, genuinly caught off guard goku isable to be damaged by a simple lazer pistol, in a defenseless situation, raw pressure being applied freely can absolutely hurt luffy.
The whole premise around the Devil Fruit is that no matter how much of a badass it makes you, it won't save you from drowning if Captain Deadshot sinks your ship under you.
also a recurring theme for pretty much every arc after romance dawn is 'just relying on your devil fruit alone aint gunna cut it"
tbf now that i think about it this was basically established all the way back with buggy.
Luffys gumgum fruit doesnt simply mean he is 100% immune to all blunt damage, just incredibly resistant, less so for piercing and even less so for slashing.
Powerstruggles are one thing.
Have a full minute of Luffy clinging on grass while getting smacked by a mook while Nami screams for mercy.
Where as manga was just a single panel of "frick off, you sleep now." Without Nami pleading.
I hate this more than any of the extended power struggles.
There was that one scene in Wano when Luffy sumos with a dude and beats him in a page. That scene in the anime takes about a minute a half. Shit is dragged out way too much, and Wano is too long as it is.
How new?
OP and standing? Nah it’s called Run Piece for a reason
remember the original dragon ball anime that didn't have filler arcs but had a lot of filler in between the episodes of toei either making shit up or stretching things purposefully? it's basically that on steroids. they are adapting one chapter per episode and when they see panels that have either small time lapses or gaps where they can shove character interactions they do
But why? A single arc in One-Piece is hundreds of pages. Stories can span lengths greater than the entirety of a smaller Shonen's length.
It's probably a consistency thing. From the animators to the directors to the musicians to the voice actors, you'll generally have the same people working on something for a while with something as long as One Piece. And with lower/no filler arcs these days, Toei won't have to come up with their own character designs and stories themselves as often, if at all. I will say though that they've been picking up the slack in the animation department for the past few years thanks to many factors, but the pacing will still remain dogshit because they don't want to take seasonal breaks if it'll continue to draw in viewers weekly, and they don't want to catch up to the manga too fast so they have to take into account Oda's monthly-ish breaks too. It's a consistent cash flow with low chance of a revolving door of staff members.
Have you not seen the Toei vs One Pace comparison? shit lasted forever to move, once you see the cut version you can never go back, they stretch episodes waaaaay too much that you only basically get 5 minutes of plot progress per episode, the other 15min is just stretching scenes and OP/ED
Even the fight scenes where you can forgive the stretching of an episodes cause its cool to watch the fight but instead of adding fight scenes to pad the episode's time they just stretch it even more, so you have less action but with clashes that lasts forever
Thats why a lot of fans wished the new one piece anime by wit studio to fix the pacing if nothing else, they can frick it up for all they care just not the pacing
Nobody defends anime pace, what the frick are you talking about?
I haven't seen anyone defend wano online. irl though people swear by it.
>dude pacing lmfao
Welcome to 2009.
The most annoying part is Oda having some fights happen offscreen as an obvious "hey Toei, use this as filler" device.
Nice headcanon.
I looked it up and Naruto had 220 episodes so that's kinda cheating. I'm sure a big chunk of OP Wano was filler too
That's 220 episodes of the entire series, with several arcs.
Of course it is not counting Shippuuden, but the point remains.
One arc of One Piece is longer than entire series of other shows. That is not a positive thing.
>it's very long
>yet you still want more
How does Oda do it
>we never will have a prequel manga about Gol D. Roger era with prime roger, prime garp, prime Rocks, Prime Shiki and other homies
Nobody actually gives a frick about Shikki, anyways we'll get the Prime Flashback with God's Valley.
When Oda will run out of money after One Piece is finally over.. then MAYBE you'll get something like that.
>oda
>run out of money
hard to believe this will happen
Following the same fate as Boruto and (maybe) soon Bleach with the Hell Arc. Dragon ball Super/Daima too.
I believe that jump will try to make a sequel, but because they want more money and can't afford to lose sales of One piece, not because oda needs it
even selling less today and with more than 100 volume, one piece still selling 2 mil per volume
probably is more than all other jump manga together
You mean that the man that's rich enough to have an ATM inside his own house, but who's not known for a enjoying frivolous lifestyle will die a poor man?
Nah, he'll just do a Toriyama and have someone else draw while he just writes and makes the storyboards.
>after One Piece is finally over
hope I live till 2050
Something something sunk cost fallacy.
>The ability to make mouths, breasts, asses, and pussies sprout from anywhere plus Nika shenanigans
The sex must look eldritch from an outsider's pov
Naruto had a whole year or two of just filler arcs, random adventures Naruto and friends went through that would never get acknowdleged again outside of games.
The problem with One Piece is how many characters any arc has, so in Wano, iirc, you have
>The Straw Hats
>Big Mom's crew(though only Big Mom. her familiars and Perospero matter)
>Beast Pirates(Kaidou, his 3 main guys, like 5 other commanders, like 5 other lower combatants like Speed or the guy with an animal for a belly)
>The 7 Scabbards
>HUGE backstory about Oden
>Oden's family
>Orochi
>Yamato
>Wano's inhabitants like the mochi girl and her big dog
>Kid and his crew
>Law and his crew
>Several other supernovas who joined with the Beast Pirates
>One of those supernovas was actually an agent for the WG, there are other WG agents infiltrated too doing their own thing
>A mini training arc for Lufy to be able to fight Kaidou
And all of these parts clashing, and moving around and the arc wont end until we have a resolution for every single major and minor conflict during the arc. Kaidou's fight had like 7 phases.
So its just Dressrosa again? in terms of abhorrent pacing
I can't and won't defend this shit, it's moronic
It's indefensible. Hopefully the remake has 5-10x the pace. A bit slower than the live action, but maybe approximately that pace without leaving anything out.
No, I'm pretty sure this nonsense is why they tell new fans to read the manga ALL the time instead.
I find it weird how you put 131 eps canon for naruto and ignore the filler episodes when most of the screentime for Wano is also filler and if it was adapted at the same speed as naruto, it would only be like 70 episodes at most
>can't participate in OP threads 4 out of 7 days in the week because of spoilers
why couldn't Shueisha arrest Redon instead of those arabs? shit's so annoying. by the time the chapter is out, everyone already discussed it to death
>>can't participate in OP threads 4 out of 7 days in the week because of spoilers
Quick rundown?
leakers leak chapter summaries before the raws
Is this happening consistently every week?
shit, it's been years now, the korean and the arabs that used to leak raws god caught by the shueisha authorities
>Shueisha authorities in korea and saudi arabia
Damn.
Redon aka rodent (among others) always leak info about chapters days before they get released
sometimes he'll start hinting about it as early as saturday; today, there's already a summary of the chapter; raws generally drop wednesday or thursday; the good fanscans (aka the earlier way to actually read the chapter properly) drops friday; and the official release is on sunday
it causes a ton of misinformation to spread because leakers are biased and generally moronic, and causes proper chapter discussions to be far worse than it should be
yes
the arabs lived in Japan, that's why they got caught
Ganker is a robin board
NOOOUGH
I'M WITH THE SCIENCE TEAM
nu piece is all about watching oda absolutely fumble the delivery. going back and reading wano theories is grim compared to what we actually got. I think oda might be the only author to have two characters clash and leave both sides disappointed. green bull coming to wano was a prime example. zoro vs lucci, law vs blackbeard, luffy vs kizaru. everyone comes out looking weaker than they did going in
Play the card game.
>shitty anime pacing
BRING ME b***hFY
Choose.
Laffy will punch the grand line and destroy it to prevent the world from flooding. This was foreshadowed numerous times throughout the series. The punch itself will kill him.
No way Oda would kill Luffy in the end.
How could that work? Sinking a mountain in to the ocean would displace that volume of water and raise the sea level
Hey quick question. Since Sengoku can turn into a gigantic golden statue of Buddha and not Buddha himself, does that mean that a man known as Buddha existed in the setting too? It wouldn't be a Mythical Zoan if it was just Buddha himself. And does this also mean that because of all the generic Christian iconography that there was also a Jesus Christ? Is it entirely possible for there to be a Christ model Mythical Zoan but it's actually turning into a crucifix with a carving of Jesus on it? Asking for me because I have no friends.
Luffy is more or less the prophet/champion for a Sun God which might be a corruption of a Son God that is suppressed by the World Government.
It's like that old Star Trek episode
Jesus wasn't a liberator of slaves, making Luffy more like Moses.
My old gamer clan ran some of the most popular hl2dmrp servers, as well puzzle maps. Some of the best times of my life getting home and hopping on to do the same 10 puzzle maps while just chilling and chatting.
That was 15 years ago...
>Yep. There's my shining hero of pure righteousness.
>chaotic good freedom above all protagonist
>shining hero of pure righteousness
lmao i hope this is a shitpost
Luffy isn't a shining hero of pure righteousness though. If he gets referred to as one he denies it outright.
Luffy is greedy.
Luffy can be callous.
Luffy often wanders away from problems people are having because they're boring, and quite often needs other members of his crew to knock sense into him (Usually Chopper, Usopp, and Nami)
Luffy is not the type to help strangers because it's the right thing to do, but because there is some other motivation. A friend made a sincere plea for help. He was promised food or treasure. There's a strong dude at the end of all this and Luffy wants to fight the strong dude because Luffy inherited Goku's fight autism. Luffy has no interest in saving people. Only helping those who wish to help themselves.
The only times Luffy ever seems to want to help because it's right is when freedoms are being denied to people. Like with Doflamingo, where Luffy took personal offense to him robbing people of their free will. Which really just fits him being the literal god of liberation.
Luffy is the champion of all things free. That's it.
FRICK YOU KOBY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Don't worry, she'll be among the first against the wall when the world government is abolished and all the marines are gathered up to be executed by the new God King Buggy.
Clown world will become real
What is your stance on Egghead?
Started good but Oda had to start dragging things out again. Vegapunk's message having 10 minutes or so of nothing before he actually starts his World Shaking Revelations is absolutely moronic, especially since he knew the WG would be frantically looking to destroy the source before the broadcast gets to that point.
Although the actual reason the entire thing taking so long due to it being a set-up to kill anybody trying to stop the message would be funny.
Better than Wano and Thiller Shart
Horrible writing involving Dragon, Vegapunk and the Five Elders'. Fights, character designs, pacing, worldbuilding are good. Oda cannot draw female butts well.
>Oda cannot draw female butts well.
Butt shots in One Piece will never get better than this
frickin hot
I dunno he's definitely learning. Currently it's his new thing he wants to learn to do, and he's getting somewhere.
ZEEEEEHAHAHAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I can't lie I was hoping for a blockbuster revelation, not what everyone knew already when they spent a full ass chapter talking about how the water levels were rising.
I guess it's necessary to speed along the story if they really plan on finishing by 2027.
Why does Gear 5 cause brown people to seethe
They have never watched Popeye
the funny thing is that they did air Popeye, Merry Melodies, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, etc a lot during the 90s in latinamerica, so the complainers are 100% zoomers
Makes sense since youngsters are more into edgy stuff anyways
Neither did Toei. Hell neither did Oda he reuses the same eyeball gags all the time.
they wanted DEMON MONKEY GOD
only brown hypebeast like that garbage form thou
>He doesn't know about Gear DEATH
Gear 5 gave me Tom & Jerry vibes and I loved every second of it. The homies who hated that shit wanted Gear 5 to be some edgelord haki type of shit and I'm glad it's the opposite.
yep
G5 is entertaining and infinitely better than 4 but G2's Jet series of attacks are still way more hype for me. I enjoy OP much better when I don't consider it a shonen.
It was fine in the manga and the subsequent episode of the anime but the very first gear 5 episode was unabashed shit. Without even talking about the whole hyori interruption in the middle of the episode there was just a whole lot of nothing. I still find it funny that people thought that episode was gonna be one of the greatest anime episodes ever.
Gear 5 is great in the manga and a lot of fun to watch
The anime tries to make it a serious power up attempting hype shonen moments while still needing to squeeze in a couple frames of the Popeye shit, ruining everything completely
It's funny how Toei won't just let it be it's own thing, sneaking in ooc shit like the deranged face sucker punch Luffy did to Lucci before the shenanigans began.
only gear I like is the second

No matter how i see it, there's a high chance that one piece gonna pull a alien card.
So don't expect the manga to end well.
Worked for Naruto!
moon pirates are already canon
there are already aliens in the moon
One Piece pulled the space pirate card already. The real surprise is that it's done nothing with that information.
They already did that but here's the kicker: nothing happened
They already did, now we're just waiting for Enel to do something based.
>he doesn't know Enel's alien robot army
What is the actual One Piece and how does it relate to sea level?
If i had to guess, its the thing that resulted in the cracking of the world, the reason the world is islands and the reason traditional compass's dont work, and it will have a reverse button. only counter to that is why tf wouldnt roger have used it,, and why he'd refer to it as treasure.
Roger said his crew were too early. People either think he meant he needed the Nika fruit or that it has some sort of event that still wasn't ready when he got there.
is he literally just picrel
Yeah, which is interesting given the normal opinion the Japanese have with him, but considering Vegapunk makes both good and bad shit it balances out.
Can a One Piece boomer shooter/fps work?
Maybe? There are a few gunslingers and archers, even if most aren't notable. Hell, with Haki you can have special rounds easily.
Its would probably be about Usopp or if it goes the Hexxen or Heretic route have you play as Luffy, Zoro, or Sanji.
>vegapunk made all his negative traits into female satellites
Really activates my almonds
I wanna climb a big lady like a tree.
I enjoy Japanese things and media but I do not enjoy overly old timey feudal Japanese aesthetics and this is why I dropped One Piece when I got to Wano. To this day I'm still not sure if I'll ever get around to picking it back up.
watch luffy zoro and sanji's last fights and skip to egghead
You are literally not missing anything special.
You are now in the presence of his holiness, Saint Marcus Mars. It's considered an omen of good luck if he poops on you
I wonder if he's ever said "itsumade" in some way because it's an actual phrase used to name the creature.
>Been reading through at a decent pace, trying to enjoy it
>Almost near the end of Water 7, seeing all the shit in this thread
Holy frick its all going to get so much worse, I should just abandon this series
Your loss
I would suggest stopping when you notice a significant drop in quality, where character interactions start getting boring and you start noticing how much of a waste of time some things are, which will be around Fishman Island.
EL is end of peak OP. Then it's mostly good with some kino moments Pre TS. You are basically caught up with the character growth and 90% of their battle moves of all SHs, they barely get any power ups or involvement in the future, the series becomes all about Luffy and the 100 supporting characters per arc.
>people hate this design
One Piece fandom has truly fallen.
One Piece fans love the Vegapunks, it's outsiders who hate the goofy kino
The only people that hate it would be edgy zoomers that got into OP late.
>they bring back ED songs near end of Wano.
>they also add extra filler at the very end in form of trivia corners that remind goldfish brained kids you who the frick was this character that last appeared in page 5 of chapter 12 and shit.
>all that extra padding should give more compact, better paced episode flow, right? Right?
>its all still slow dragging with streched out reaction shots and and overly animated inane things that waste keyframes.
