The only real cases of that style *actually* existing is specifically the work of Marly Halpern-Graser (who had a show that got bullied so hard it got dumped over the course of a year) and video games.
Unironically I have seen this style more prevalent in vidya than in actual cartoons, it is bizarre.
The real shit is the style where the characters have those weird ugly noses that are just a triangle and everyone is just ugly. Not even sure if that's calarts though.
This honestly looks pretty good, I guess a minor gripe I have is the MC's design but they animate her really well and don't restrict themselves in her expressions and movements.
