because the stakes and consequences are incredibly realistic for an ace attorney game. Trucy is getting tarred on the internet, the media is slandering the wright agency and they're using lawsuits to bankrupt them. All of these are common tactics in real life to ruin people.

This was the worst episode in AA6 for me. AA4 is all about this tight-knit family of fricked up magicians, with infighting and blackmail. And then this OC-do-not-steal character pops up, pretending he was part of the troupe this whole time. How does nobody see this is dogshit writing. It retroactively makes the magician storyline of AA4 worse. And this episode is just a complete retread of AA4's magician-performance-rights storyline.
Honestly one of my favorite AA villains. A small redeeming factor in what is arguably the weakest entry in the series.
