The threads have been shit ever since the beginning of July. People have talked about this game to death and now we have genuine twittergays in here.
there's slim pickings for Ai fanart as is, due to the non-existent Japanese fanbase. We have the tumblr fan art, the one really good pixiv guy, or the Ota obsessed autist that commissioned a shitload of art.
I thought that every dead body connected with the institute was using cloning to trick everybody into thinking the deaths were happening 6 years apart.
take for example Tokiko:
>Tokiko uses her DNA >Creates clone body >Uses Somnium device to trade places with said clone body >Original body is killed by cutting them in half >Drops half of the body off in the Niaz branch >Clone body with original mind Tokiko hides for 6 years >Repeats process another 6 years later to keep fricking with everybody.
That is what i thought was going on with everybody
Reposting more evidence that Ryuki experiences the timeline the same way the Frayer does. On February 14th of the present timeline, Ryuki revisits Naix HQ to talk to the detectives about Tokiko's death. Kagami shares with him that Tokiko died the day before her birthday.
Now move forward along Ryuki's timeline to February 15th, which, to the Player and Ryuki, appears to take place after the scene with the detectives in the Naix office, but actually happened 6 years ago. Ryuki triggers a birthday message on Tokiko's hologram, and then he and Tama remember that it's Tokiko's birthday. A fact they learned in the present timeline.
I already double checked all the other past-timeline scenes between Ryuki and Tokiko, and she never shares her birthday with them. The first time Ryuki and Tama learn about her birthday is from Kagami in the present day.
I beat VLR last night, I didn't even notice that. I'm not going to replay it anytime this decade though because frick watching those doors open over and over. Now I don't know if I should replay 999 for the first time since release or go straight to ZTD. I played about 30 minutes of ZTD just to see what it was like and I stopped because I needed a break after this scene.
[...]
I was fine with it because it was one twist on top of several others. It wasn't the central tweest. I disliked the timeline frickery in AI2 more because the entire thing is a contrivance to trick the player into thinking the mystery is deeper than it actually is. Shit like Bibi wearing a highschool uniform for no reason despite not going to that highschool is a moronic construct that only exists to confuse the frayer.

>, Dangangays and AAgays were all mystery anime gays
I've always hated Danganronpa. If you actually like mystery stories, a game where you get insulted for asking questions at the end is not a good mystery game. If you try to ask Junko how she was able to knock everyone out and remove their memories the game literally tells you to stop asking questions. If that passes as a good mystery to you, have a nice day.
That said, Gnosia is the best not-Uchikoshi, Uchikoshi story I've ever played. It was clearly inspired by him but it does its own thing and is unique enough to completely captivate me. And unlike Danganronpa, the game respects your intelligence the whole way through, never tells you to stop asking questions, and actually encourages you to think outside the box in order to solve some of the puzzles like going to the timeline where there are no Gnosia. It even does the Frayer/Blick Winkel twist way better than AI:2 does.
VLR's twist is worse to me because Sigma is too much of a moron (especially when it comes to even basic pop science concepts) for me to believe he just asspulls some mastery of multiple complex and unrelated fields out of his ass over the course of 40 years.
Yeah, that was strange to me. He's a student writing a research paper at the start of the game then he's completely out of his depth with basic shit like Schrodinger's Cat. What was he writing his paper on? Even if it were a literature degree, you'd know basic storytelling tropes like the cat in the box.
So basically i just unmasked Tearer and i feel like i could connect everything. That was about the same for rest of you too, right?
I started figuring everything out during the entire course of chapter 4, which was really fun because trying to figure it out before the game told me the twists is what I love about Uchikoshi's games. I think the moment it becomes clear that Komeji was just murdered, making Mizuki being in the past I was scrambling through the flowchart and trying to piece it all together.
To be totally fair, I don't think he did it all on his own. Brother started cloning Left on his own and AI/robotics would have been a field that was worked on before or during those 45 years by other people. Riozome 9 was built before 2029 in that universe and so was cold sleep technology. Its not like he completely invented everything on his own. I did laugh when Akane said he had to invent the doors too. Like of all the ridiculous shit he's got to invent, automatic sliding doors is top of the priority.
>I disliked the timeline frickery in AI2 more because the entire thing is a contrivance to trick the player into thinking the mystery is deeper than it actually is.
I feel you there. I can appreciate it on a meta level of "this is the most interesting way to experience the story", but that is still pretty weak justification to go ahead an do it (even if I admittedly liked it regardless). I think all the game really needed was some justification for WHY the (You) experience the narrative like this. If it's a simulation and (you) presumably are an outside observer, perhaps whoever let you observe the simulation (or alternatively some antagonistic force trying to stop you) purposefully did this to make it harder to frick with the simulation? Anyhting like that would've made it work, even if it was a throwaway bit of dialogue in divergence which could be expanded upon in a later game.
I felt that way about Date seeing alternate timelines in AI1. I thought it was moronic how he just does instead of there being a good explanation on why and how, other than a throwaway line about bamboo shoots by Iris, which is just a rehash of the plant root analogy in VLR. I liked how things in AI1 were mysterious and unexplained, like Mizuki's super strength, it made the world feel dreamlike. But having the whole plot hinge on something unestablished like Date being able to Jump for no reason instead of tying it to Somnium and the collective unconciousness just felt lazy. Like Uchikoshi was mindlessly reusing plot points because he was lazy.
And then in AI2 we got that answer. And I don't know if I like it or not. Is this how Uchikoshi is going to string us along for sequels? Keep introducing unexplained bullshit so he can explain it later? I'd honestly be fine with that. Like you, I enjoyed the story despite its problems.
Funnily enough I had the exact same thoughts about the first game. It dragged down my impression of the conclusion with what seemed like unnecessary bullshit. As you said 2 explains it with simulation theory, which in the context of the series as a whole is more excusable, but as a singular product it just ends up as sloppy writing.
I think it would have worked if Ryuki was the only protagonist. Then the time jumps can easily be explained just by him being a schizo with mad cow disease on top of that. Adding in Mizuki and Bibi overcomplicated the story and was an overall detriment to both characters since we actually only spend 25% of the game with each one and their development doesn't go far. Ryuki felt like an unfinished character but he had double the screentime that either Mizuki had.
I don't know if there's any justification for thinking this development-wise, but the entire ending chapter felt a bit rushed in terms of characterisation of the core cast. Ryuki just sort of 'redeems' himself and the Mizuki's get a quick scene to talk things over before we're onto stopping the crazy cult plot.

This. People who feed trolls and shit threads up with pointless back and forth are the actual Black folk that deserve to hang, not the trolls themselves.
>ignore them and they'll go away bro
This has never worked and you know it.
Actually, it does. Feeding trolls absolutely never works. When have you ever in your entire life argued with a troll and come out on top? Seriously, you're fricking moronic. Just ignore them, its literally just memes.
>the part where everyone thought Ryuki is being a gay Black person is actually Ryuki worried if Date is aware of his betrayal
Still hilarious
That makes sense, but considering the hero worship Ryuki has before that, I think he's just really worried about living up to Date's expectations. I figured it was a Raiden and Snake type relationship, where the new protagonist idolizes the previous one because the frayer has the same opinion of Date if they've played the first game.
Then 1 "complaining about trolls" post with 4 replies
these threads are just awful now

Quality post about AI2 anon. Maybe you should take your own advice and have a nice day because you add nothing to the thread either.
Based. Three best characters in both games
>Aiba >top 3 characters in AI2
Aiba was a completely lost oppertunity. Her relationship with Mizuki isn't adversarial at all and they've barely got any chemistry. And then you have the scene where Date comes back and Aiba is barely phased. How do you go from her basically admitting she loves him in AI1 to not even caring that he's alive? People talk about Date being misused but Aiba is far worse.
Honestly the screaming in that scene is just not convincing at all.
Yeah, the screams felt a little...tame? but the sheer cruelty and violence of it was enough for me to take a break. I know I pressed the button just to see the results but, seriously, wtf man.
Aiba's relation with Date was disappointing, yeah. There weren't really any scenes where they got along well when there was a good amount of that in the first game. The only nice one was when she returns to his eye socket for the final fight, but even that only lasted a few minutes before he kicks her out again
Really just a problem with Date not having a huge role in the story and being more of a father figure to Ryuki rather than Mizuki whenever he did show up. If the Date DLC rumors are true, hopefully that does a better job with his relation with Aiba and Mizuki
>Who shit this thread up more? You or the troll? I'd say you.

People like you always post this shit over and over and over and over, yet they cannot comprehend how we got into this situation in the first place. Shut the frick up homosexual, I hate fencesitters who do nothing to improve their fricking situation while people mock them.
Theoretically speaking, do you think Boss could be playable in the next one and the male aiball being her partner?
Super thirsty milf and shy aiball partner. That could work, right?
I don't think Boss would want the shady shit she does to keep things running uploaded to the cloud, she would never use an AI-ball she prefers being the blackmailer, not the blackmailee.
Please no. Boss isn't protagonist material. And honestly, I'd prefer a completely new cast. The current AI cast is way too interconnected and everyone knows everyone or is related to them in some way. Leave them alone, or doe something crazy like following the Divergence ending and having Ryuki try to break out of the simulation.
>Implying he wouldn't be the one getting fricked
Regardless if you consider him homosexual or not we already know that he's most likely a sub based on his interactions with Tama.
Amame! >there's gotta be a better first date then just bringing her to the mancave and explaining how we offed her dad and the plan to bring the world to Moksha bros, any ideas?
Changing lyrics is inevitable especially if they're trying to make them singable in another language, but it doesn't make sense for them to change eating 7 donuts into eating donuts in the bathroom. Eating in the bathroom isn't a cute girly behavior, it's something lonely maladjusted weirdos or girls with eating disorders do.

Yeah and that's the point. The song is about a weird girl who can't get a boyfriend and seethes about it
overplayed and not as endearing as the first song. Especially that ending dance number. Since Mizuki and Ryuki don't really have a relationship of any kind and barely interacted with each other, him being in the box wasn't nearly as heartfelt as Aiba's ressurection. There was no "I'm home" moment between Mizuki and Ryuki to justify the dance number. Mizuki and Ryuki also start dancing right off the bat, instead of Date begrugingly joining in halfway through.
If it weren't for the fact that I think its supposed to be weird and lame on purpose to hammer in the idea that its a simulation, I'd have hated it. After Divergence, I kinda like it as a contrast.
>If it weren't for the fact that I think its supposed to be weird and lame on purpose to hammer in the idea that its a simulation
Uchikoshi never does weird and lame on purpose, he genuinely love this shit.
I genuinely loved the first game's dance number too. But AI2's dance number is either bad because Uchikoshi is senile or is bad because the message is that you're living in a lie where happiness is being forced upon you. I like the latter interpretation more so I'll go with that.
I fricking hated that shit, unironically filtered me for a while since I was looking for a proper word. Didn't help that I misspelled my first attempt as UNGD and never thought to try it again
Ryuki's perspective only changes when certain things trigger a change. In the past he goes looking for Shoma at the feris wheel, which then triggers the perspective shift from 6 years ago to present. More suspiciously, Ryuki gets a call in the present with Aiba saying Kizuna has gone missing. This call triggers the perspective shift into the past. So what happened to Kizuna to cause that?
Ryuki makes up the majority of the scenes that trick you with a jump in the middle, Ferris wheel, Boss yelling at him mainly. The only one Mizuki/Bibi get is the Horadori lab with Lien. Otherwise her shifts are much more clean/off screen so they make more sense without causing the debate on if Ryuki is shifting.
>This call triggers the perspective shift into the past. So what happened to Kizuna to cause that? She elopes with Lien in secret in the present day, but her Dad still panics.
Also, Ryuki gets sprayed with TC-PERGE in the present day and has no memory of the cathedral 6 years ago, plus the implication is that he built up a resistance to it over X years. Also it seems that Amame literally tried to kill Ryuki.
You can go through and replay 2/12 as Ryuki to see what I mean. He has no clue what this place is in the present, despite it being in his present day somnium. He's acting as if it's 6 years ago.
What exactly does he say in the scene? I assume it's something vague that makes it seem more like he's confused at the existence of a cathedral as opposed to there being an elevator to a part he's never seen.
Date forma de revista pornográfica último con Aiba (chistes lascivos) might put up a good fight.I don't think Date has any more powerups that we're aware about
Date (Forma de pornografica) + Mizku calling him dad + Aiba streaming porno (of herself) directly into his brain + Hitomi threatening to NTR him to Riyuki if he loses

>DBZ memes
Ironic weebs are in this thread now, this sucks lol. I'm outta here.
Playing AI2 just made me miss Date and Aiba's dynamic from AI1. Mizuki and Aiba's just wasn't as good, and while I liked Ryuki and Tama's, it suffers due to lack of screen time and relevancy in the second half.
People say Ryuki isn't present enough in the 2nd half but it's really just because of the way timelines work. You are playing Ryuki's actions in the present so he is being relevant, it's just you do all of it before you can do Mizuki's. If you replayed from the beginning going back and forth they'd have pretty much equal screen time.
I've seen this floated around a bit but I didn't feel it outside the poorly translated balloon puzzle. Maybe they do if you play them with the context of the timeline stuff, but I'm letting that sit for now.
brainlet, that's exactly why its a problem. The second half is where all the revelations come in, and its parts that really should have been seen through Ryuki's eyes.
if pewter got out, she'll get out. Boss got blackmail enough to get her out, plus she's known as the chick who offed the crazy terrorist that tried to off the whole world, she'll only get six years at the most
AI2 has too many questions that it didn't answer for me to be satisfied with it.
>Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki during the New Cyclops Killings? >Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki when Boss sent the SAT to arrest her? >Why did Boss try to arrest her with lethal force to begin with? >Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him >Why didn't amnesiac Date go to the police after escaping from a kidnapping? >Why did Date think there was something shady involving ABIS?

Uchikoshi didn't think that far ahead >Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki when Boss sent the SAT to arrest her?

Because Mizuki is a moron with super strength powers >Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
He wanted to toy with him more >Why didn't amnesiac Date go to the police after escaping from a kidnapping?
Because he didn't wear Saito's face and Uchikoshi doesn't want to spoil the first game >Why did Date think there was something shady involving ABIS?
Find out in the 3rd game!

But why would Boss send them to arrest Mizuki in the first place? Boss knew she was going to Brahman to see the dead body
that scene happens like an hour after ryuki psyncs into amame and does her fricked up quiz somnium. couple that with the fact that they found a body in gen's fridge so both of them are suspects.
Boss sends the police because they would resist and mizuki would defend them because they are her friends.
>>Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
I assumed it was Tokiko that unearthed Date rather than Tearer. As you say, Tearer would've just killed him.
>during one timeline Date is in Boss' body, almost everyone is dead and has to deal with both Mizuki's all of a sudden
that timeline just got a lot more fricked up

To be fair they didn't make it clear if he died or not - but he didn't have anything to live for outside of Mizuki at that point. That being said if he was alive then he'd probably an hero'd himself later on considering the damage Saito had already done.

Not exactly. While not fatal, wasn't Boss' leg and arm fricked from encounter in Hitomi's house? There's a reason why Date couldn't attack Saito directly after the Psync bodyswap.

He just witnessed the death of someone he was trying to protect, after he had failed to save every other character. It makes sense he'd be talking like that.
The original point was that we don't know what happened to Date after the Annihilation route, for all that we know he could have either killed himself or prostituted himself out now that he's in Boss' body.
Date doesn't seem the type to commit suicide, even if he lost a lot. He still has a daughter to take care of, plus he has breasts now. >or prostituted himself out now that he's in Boss' body.

Because fractures generally aren't fatal, particularly if they're treated.

They were fractures caused by an explosion that threw Saito against a wall, and again whatever was there was enough to make Date collapse and pass out after getting the body. Almost certainly went deeper than just breaks.

Uchikoshi said that Date still beats Saito in the end after that route, but gets stuck in the Boss body.

The answer to all of those is shoddy writing
In order: >Boss sent Mizuki to seaworld >Boss was on the rag >He wanted to sexually assault Date >He did, but aggressively hit on the older police officer and ended up going out with her for six years >They deleted all his pornography, betraying his trust
>Why did Boss try to arrest her with lethal force to begin with?
they were using rubber bullets until they resisted.
That said that scene is completely out of character for boss. it's a rash decision seemingly done because she thought Gen would resist (he wouldn't, he would have likely gone as far as to take the blame for the body to protect amame ) and that mizuki would try to defend them (she wouldn't , when she found out amame was the killer she decided that she needed to be arrested, even though she sympathized and it hurt her she still chose the law over her friends, she would have done the same to Gen)
I was waiting for the game to tell me that it wasn't really boss sending the order (she wouldn't call mizuki a monster ffs) but that never happened. definitely my low point for the game.
Depends, is it Netorare, Netorase or Netori? Netorare can go either way. Netorase is cuckshit. Netori is extremely based and is what the great rape kinos are built off of. Rance is Netori. Rance is based.
Saito switched bodies because he wanted to try it out for fun and because he's insane. It was supposed to be temporary but Falco ran away and their memories got fricked.
Thats not a plothole. He switched because it seemed like fun. He never thought F would run way with his body. Especially given he had a bunch of armed goons.
How the hell did Date go missing for 6 years? It could not have been that fricking hard to find him, hell he couldn't have gotten that far. Surely he or someone would send out a call at some point like when you find a lost child. ABIS seems notoriously bad at tracking people.
And can these people keep their fricking phones on for 3 goddamn seconds?
Why exactly is your avatar replaced with your Ai-Ball when you Psync into someone with one, again? Both Mazuki and Date were themselves when they Psynced into Date and Saito for the last time - confused why/how the psyncers typically instead represent themselves as their eyeball.
Why did they introduce Conscious Anti-bodies as a mechanic if they are never used again after Chikara's Somnium? Their introduction and advertising led me to believe they would be a more prominent element in Somniums, but I guess not.
It's better this way. The action scenes in the first had exactly one joke which was recycled endessly, whereas the ones in NI don't make Date go Super Semen God mode every time he's featured in them.
>gen's face never revealed. maybe this was supposed to be a subversion of expectations but very unsatisfying. >TFH962 written on his chest is not relevant >voiced by a youtuber >looks goofy
shit char imo.
The skeleton x-ray was enough really. I don't think Mizuki or Ryuki would've reacted in a way that made him happy because they were shocked just by his skull, so it's best they kept that to themselves.
To be fair they seemed less disgusted and more saddened, so chances are if they saw his real face, it could've led to a touching moment that also would've given him all the more reason to support them in their investigation as much as possible
b***h avengers is "Abazurangers", abazure being b***h. The name is more based on sentai, but the description in the appendix is clearly meant to be Avengers. Black Window is there in Japanese too. It's a shitty no effort literal translation but it's there.
The Hulk reference somewhere else is also there in Japanese.
I could do without the quick time events that needlessly pad the already long fight scenes. Well animated, just really dumb to the point it's even dumb for the over the top corny tone they're going for.
the next game just needs to not make the protagonist comically overpowered like mizuki is. when it was Date the whole "how is Popeye going to get his spinach" part was interesting, but if the character obviously has the situation completely under control immediately it's just dumb
Mizuki's superhuman strength only gets stronger as she gets older. By 21 she could probably punch down buildings and toss heavy construction equipment with ease.
That's why these are puzzle games.
Sorta related. Just bought the first game and really enjoying it so far. Should I play the sequal or the zero escape games after I finish the first game?
Sequel is mid and the ZE games are unrelated but pretty good except for the third one. Considering that you just finished AI1 then it wouldn't hurt to play AI2 next.
Also, get out of the thread before you get spoiled, moron.
Not even fricking close. the act of going so apeshit with the alternate time lines is so stupid that it ruins the grounded nature of 999.

Because they fricked themselves over by making Nirvana approachable for newcomers. If it weren't for that, Date would likely still have his Falco face, and he'd be a lot more intimate with Hitomi, as well as being a better father to Iris.
Instead, because they couldn't spoil any of that, they have to make him be so much of a prostitute that he wears the face of a serial killer to get pussy, and constantly avoids Hitomi for no good reason when there actually would've been a valid reason for it had spoilers for AI 1 been allowed in earnest until getting free attention from her in the epilogue.
It's funny but I also think they made Date kind of a bastard by restricting themselves to non-AI 1 spoilers
Not just Iris, you could say the same for Aiba, Hitomi, and Mizuki.
If they delved too much into his relationship with them it'd be getting into acknowledging he's Falco so the stupid fricking spoiler protections hurt the story in that way and several others.

Mizuki has been quietly using all the money he spends to fund an "organization" that helps dementia patients. Really she's just straight up paying for his mom's hospital bills.
Anybody got a full map of the city? I'd like to know how far Horadori Institute is from Naix HQ. If Tokiko killed herself and Amame carried half of her body, then the two locations shouldn't be too far apart, right?
>Ryuki's route >Ryuki finds the secret door in Tokiko's room >uses the elevator and explores the cathedral >finds the altar and the box >uses X-ray
The only way to see it is to record it, but the altar can be seen in X-ray for a split second before Tama zooms in on the box, and the altar is empty. Shouldn't Uru's right half be there?

No. In English the limo is all he has left of his parents. in Japanese he calls the limo a katami meaning "something received from a dead person" of them. They're dead.
>What's the contradictions regarding Mizuki people mention?
In AI1 in Japanese Shoko explicitly says she gave birth to Mizuki and in 2 they had to add a scene with Mizuki recalling this and commenting on it to cover how bad the contradiction is. English version mistranslated the line to begin with.

Uhhh why not? Isn't this Uchikoshi's best game?
Uchikoshi recycles every idea from every game. Ai1's twist was recycled from Remember11. If you've played two or three Uchikoshi games you know everything that's going to happen in all of his other games. The man has something like ten twists and each VN he writes is a combination of two to four of them.

yes he did
The big difference is that in E17 the meta player deus ex machina is treated as a completely good thing. He seems to have regretted this is in recent years and completely rewrote that part in the 360 version of E17, and in AI2 he presents it as the villain thing to do with the "happy" ending having an ominous tone.
he does it even in Punch Line
Yeaaaah...That's not good at all lol. I played 999, VLR, and avoided ZTD because of the stigma surrounding it. I played AI1 and I was like "yeah he SHIFTed", AI2 is where it got me really disappointed but that's mostly with how the characters were treated.

I'm in the camp that ZTD is an okay game as a stand alone adventure. It's certainly a horrible followup to wrap up everything VLR set up, nobody will deny that. But it does some things right.
Personally I liked the whole non-linear storytelling the game had. It was fun piecing together the order of things and led to some fun scenarios.

i kept reading about COMPLEX MOTIVES so now i can't think of it as stand alone lol. funny memes though
>mostly with how the characters were treated.
Yeah, the problem isn't that he recycled the twists in AI2, it's that the twists are fricking pointless and yet the characters suffer as a result because of it. Date is missing for most of the story, ruining AI1's ending. Mizuki has less screentime because half of it is bibi, and bibi can't fricking talk to people who actually know Mizuki or say anything important to hide that she's not Mizuki. Ryuki just disappears for the entire latter half of the game. All just for a shitty meta commentary on how Ever17's ending was kind of fricked up, that has nothing to do with the actual murder case. The payoff just isn't worth it.
yeah so many characters really suffered, especially the relationship between date and aiba.

There's only one big trick in E17 that isn't in AI2 because he already used it in Zero Escape (player never sees their character's own face because it's a surprise)
this was the same person? Nah it's two different timelines, one is a clone
Don't forget that it's actually handled BETTER in Ever17 because when You introduces herself both times, her name is slightly different, meaning you can figure it out instantly if you're paying attention. The man not only recycled a twist, he used worse foreshadowing for it.
God they really did contort like motherfrickers to make that timeline thing work. And it still doesn't work.

It's incredible that he can re-use twists and make them worse.
The two timelines thing in ever17 was absolutely vital to the story, but it was something that even the characters in-universe didn't know (except the people deliberately in on the conspiracy) and was a massive reveal. In Ai2 it's just sort of...dumped on you the player directly and it's only a meta twist because they lied about the flowchart in the first place and if you just took it out the game would be pretty much the same.

Not really. Jiro Ishii's stuff is kind of crap. There's a lot of "lol so randum" stuff and not in a good way. He's also fricking terrible at pacing. And in the games where he doesn't throw in lol so randum, they turn out to be boring as hell.

I didn't play the Zero Escape games, did he recycle the Memories Off "your girlfriend is actually dead" twist in it?
It's not really a twist in MO, it's the premise (the archetypal "main heroine" died before the story starts and it's about the MC getting over her death), but he went and recycled it in one of the Steins;gate side story games he wrote for, where he turned it into a fricking Sixth Sense knockoff where Okarin is just hanging out with Mayuri or Kurisu (forgot which one) all the time but there's a twist ending where it turns out that it's a timeline where he just let her die and he's just crazy from the guilt now.

He did recycle it, that just boils down to "person you thought alive is actually dead", that's literally Uru in AI2.

what is the point of the tortoise shell? Does it actually constrain mobility? It doesn't look like it ties up your arms or legs.

I thought that every dead body connected with the institute was using cloning to trick everybody into thinking the deaths were happening 6 years apart.
take for example Tokiko:
>Tokiko uses her DNA
>Creates clone body
>Uses Somnium device to trade places with said clone body
>Original body is killed by cutting them in half
>Drops half of the body off in the Niaz branch
>Clone body with original mind Tokiko hides for 6 years
>Repeats process another 6 years later to keep fricking with everybody.
That is what i thought was going on with everybody
I just stopped thinking at all and just play the game so it would eventually explain it to me
Its still a japanes game made by a japanese man, set in japan. As much as you'd like to pretend this is as weeb game as it gets.
Because the artist is a known footgay
Anyone else prefer the masked version?
The first time Ryuki and Tama learn about her birthday is from Kagami in the present day.
aren't birthday dates public knowledge, since they appear on the character's file?
I beat VLR last night, I didn't even notice that. I'm not going to replay it anytime this decade though because frick watching those doors open over and over. Now I don't know if I should replay 999 for the first time since release or go straight to ZTD. I played about 30 minutes of ZTD just to see what it was like and I stopped because I needed a break after this scene.
It even does the Frayer/Blick Winkel twist way better than AI:2 does.
cool jelly
Honestly the screaming in that scene is just not convincing at all.
Sex with all Mizukis
I love how flat mizukis are
ryuki is not gay and you are mentally ill.

Actually, it does. Feeding trolls absolutely never works. When have you ever in your entire life argued with a troll and come out on top? Seriously, you're fricking moronic. Just ignore them, its literally just memes.
That makes sense, but considering the hero worship Ryuki has before that, I think he's just really worried about living up to Date's expectations. I figured it was a Raiden and Snake type relationship, where the new protagonist idolizes the previous one because the frayer has the same opinion of Date if they've played the first game.

>Aiba
>top 3 characters in AI2
Aiba was a completely lost oppertunity. Her relationship with Mizuki isn't adversarial at all and they've barely got any chemistry. And then you have the scene where Date comes back and Aiba is barely phased. How do you go from her basically admitting she loves him in AI1 to not even caring that he's alive? People talk about Date being misused but Aiba is far worse.
Yeah, the screams felt a little...tame? but the sheer cruelty and violence of it was enough for me to take a break. I know I pressed the button just to see the results but, seriously, wtf man.

It's the kind of scream you'd make if it started raining fishes not acid.

Its not like everything isn't pretty obvious at that point. I mean, you even see Mizuki getting heart palpitations right after, which makes it clear that she's the woman in the mask.
I will play AI3 for the same reason. I am hoping for redemption.

Ganker already has too many newbies that don't even bother to post any genuine opinions they have and only want to shitpost. Same thing that's happening with anime, manga nowadays where people call you all sorts of normalgay insults. You are a cucked homosexual.
when you make crybaby posts like this, you just make them post more
>"DUDE IGNORE IT AND THEY'LL GO AWAY"
People like you always post this shit over and over and over and over, yet they cannot comprehend how we got into this situation in the first place. Shut the frick up homosexual, I hate fencesitters who do nothing to improve their fricking situation while people mock them.
Closet case. Normal people can ignore shitposts. You gravitate towards them freudianly.
Uchikoshi will make him gay and there's nothing you can do about it.
You're right but don't give the shitposters more bait
Aiba's random bullshit during the Somniums makes me like her more.
definitely
That's not how mopeds nor perspective works, to say nothing of their anatomy skills and artistic liberty.
Why is Lien wearing Mizuki's uniform?
Post more Ryuki x Date please
I can't, Mizuki will be angry!
>the part where everyone thought Ryuki is being a gay Black person is actually Ryuki worried if Date is aware of his betrayal
Still hilarious
I don't get why people jumped on how gay it sounds instead of wondering why Ryuki's suddenly got a dead look in his eyes while he asks that.
She knows her feet are sexy and she uses them to distract her opponents
Aiba

So basically i just unmasked Tearer and i feel like i could connect everything. That was about the same for rest of you too, right?
keep playing and leave the thread before you get spoiled
Leave the fricking thread

molesting aiba's cute chest to make her squirm!
Her model looks like its not supposed to bend like that.
Theoretically speaking, do you think Boss could be playable in the next one and the male aiball being her partner?
Super thirsty milf and shy aiball partner. That could work, right?
Nah, Boss is cursed to be forever alone, unless she finds someone she can blackmail into a relationship.
So how would Ryuki frick Date?
He wouldn't but if he didn't he'd be the uke and Date the seme
>using uke and seme unironically
begone, woman
Why is he brown
don't worry about it
AI is a fujo series just like Ace Attorney.
>AI is a fujo series just like Ace Attorney.
No... Please no...
This world has to be a simulation.
>Implying he wouldn't be the one getting fricked
Regardless if you consider him homosexual or not we already know that he's most likely a sub based on his interactions with Tama.
Ryuki can't get fricked, he has anal fissures
Amame!
>there's gotta be a better first date then just bringing her to the mancave and explaining how we offed her dad and the plan to bring the world to Moksha bros, any ideas?
That reminds me, doesn't Tearer refer to Ryuki as his destined person in the cathedral, not Amame?

i'll eat some donuts in the bathroom
Changing lyrics is inevitable especially if they're trying to make them singable in another language, but it doesn't make sense for them to change eating 7 donuts into eating donuts in the bathroom. Eating in the bathroom isn't a cute girly behavior, it's something lonely maladjusted weirdos or girls with eating disorders do.
"Eating seven donuts" does not rhyme. They needed to come up with SOMETHING to Rhyme with classroom
>I'll eat donuts 'til I've got no room
Hire me, Uchikoshi
eating 7 donuts also isn't normal
stuffing seven donuts into your mouth is also something maladjusted weirdos do, anon
you think eating 7 donuts is cute girly behavior? Both lines are about eating junk to cope
no anon, you see, english bad japanese good no matter what the context is
>english bad japanese good no matter what the context is
unironically yes. Japan should take over the world and otakus should be the dictators of every nation.
Yeah but eating in the bathroom is weird.
But I've seen it from sad people in my Japanese animes many a time.
Yeah and that's the point. The song is about a weird girl who can't get a boyfriend and seethes about it
brb eating 7 donuts in the bathroom
overplayed and not as endearing as the first song.
Uchi never does weird and lame on purpose, he loves everything he puts in his games
Genki ippai, Hanpanman!!!!
The scene where Date loses his shit over Mizuki saying that it's for washing bellybuttons was pretty funny. Wish he got more screentime in the sequel.

It's in character after finding out her dad was gay
pretty sure this is after she figured out he wasn't her real father
She still calls him Daddy after the fact. She still loves him
Why is it still there?
Bibi made her keep it
She went to take it down and had a memory of a birthday with Date then stopped
How will you react when Uchi connects The Frayer and ? in AI3?
I'm not gonna play AI3 because AI2 was a fricking frustrating story and wasted potential. Good thing I pirated it.
I was this close to buying the collector. Now i am glad that i didn't, that figurine is really fricking bad.
I am fully on Uchi's fun coaster so I'm going all the way
they're plainly the same thing, just being the player
unless this means we're finally getting kyle
Uchiiiiiiiiii
man Aiba and Date were such a good pair. Gonna replay AI1 just for that
this game is going to outsell AI and Uchi is going to be slightly more well known now
>i had onee-sama before and now i have you, different onee-sama
Haha, very funny and so smart. Fragile but not so fragile... Frick you Uchi.
Uchikino does it again!
Imagine getting filtered by Uchikino
Ryuki's perspective only changes when certain things trigger a change. In the past he goes looking for Shoma at the feris wheel, which then triggers the perspective shift from 6 years ago to present. More suspiciously, Ryuki gets a call in the present with Aiba saying Kizuna has gone missing. This call triggers the perspective shift into the past. So what happened to Kizuna to cause that?
This is why the time jumping makes 100% sense with Ryuki but 0% sense with Bibi. It should have been Ryuki the entire game instead of just half of it.
I want to join Abis and make passes on both Mizuki's until HR gets involved.
they don't need hr, they can shut you down by themselves
No girl can beat the wiener.
But I'm into that. Check and mate.

Ryona goes both ways Anon.
As an American I am very upset that they lowered the number of donuts eaten
the fact that the English version does not specify the amount of donuts means that it might actually be more donuts
Girls stuffing their face with sweets because they're upset = cute
Girls eating on the toilet = not cute, probably going to throw it up later
in the bathroom =/= on the toilet
Where else would they be, in the sink?
eating straight out of the urinal in the boys bathroom
girls bathrooms in establishments sometimes have couches..

>eating disorder=not cute

>"Oh dang, i am so Lucky that Boss and Pewter arent here for some reason now. Whew, good thing nobody Can call me by my right name now."
Fricking really Uchi? This is creative writing?
but her name is Mizuki
Which scene is this referring to? Pewter and Boss go MIA multiple times because they clearly hate working overtime.
The scene where Uchi doesnt want you to know who is who.
Masked Girl's somnium, then? I doubt either of them would give the game away in that instance, anyway.
They would call either by their family name anyway, don't be stupid.
I think he's saying that Bibi never psyncs while Boss/Pewter are present and I don't think she ever sees them at all. Not gonna check myself though.
Bibi has a scene with Boss before the Abandoned Factory stuff, from what I can remember.
Her name is Mizuki
Her name is literally Mizuki
POST
TOKIKOS
Please.
I'm surprised that with all the troony pandering, there is no Black person in this game. Is he racist?
Mama will be in blackface just for all the LGBTQ+ BIPOC.
Also, Ryuki gets sprayed with TC-PERGE in the present day and has no memory of the cathedral 6 years ago, plus the implication is that he built up a resistance to it over X years. Also it seems that Amame literally tried to kill Ryuki.
>and has no memory of the cathedral 6 years ago
substantiate your claim
You can go through and replay 2/12 as Ryuki to see what I mean. He has no clue what this place is in the present, despite it being in his present day somnium. He's acting as if it's 6 years ago.
That's the purpose of the double cathedral. He's never seen that half with the sprayer before, but he did see the half that blew up.
Right, but he should've recognized that it was a double of the cathedral. Or that Naix was more than just a cult organization.
What exactly does he say in the scene? I assume it's something vague that makes it seem more like he's confused at the existence of a cathedral as opposed to there being an elevator to a part he's never seen.
Could someone beat Gen 1v1 in Uchiverse?
Yeah, anyone with a fricking gun.
Scratch that, Hitomi threatening to NTR him with a white snake.
it's unreal... how is he generating so much power?
Well here's the thing. Both Mizuki routes suck, especially the younger one.
I've seen this floated around a bit but I didn't feel it outside the poorly translated balloon puzzle. Maybe they do if you play them with the context of the timeline stuff, but I'm letting that sit for now.
brainlet, that's exactly why its a problem. The second half is where all the revelations come in, and its parts that really should have been seen through Ryuki's eyes.
>we should definitely give this guy a gun
What were they thinking?
I don't think he had a gun at that point
That's true, but we should definately let him keep the most expensive texhnology on the earth, aiball.
She's his AI wife/caretaker, anon, it'd be cruel to deprive him of her.
>He has spikey black hair, that makes him a protagonist, it'll be fiiiine
Genki ippai, Hanpanman!!!!
>He doesn't want a schizo police officer
LOL
LMAO EVEN
it's cause he's cute
I wonder if from his POV Mizuki had turned into a blue NPC and he was saying the coded Naix stuff here?
Place your bets on if Amame gets out of jail for the third game or not.
She won't be in jail because she got the super duper happy simulation breaking ending.
if pewter got out, she'll get out.
>Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
>Why didn't amnesiac Date go to the police after escaping from a kidnapping?
>Why did Date think there was something shady involving ABIS?
>>Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki during the New Cyclops Killings?
Uchikoshi didn't think that far ahead
>Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki when Boss sent the SAT to arrest her?
She was having heart problems
>Why did Boss try to arrest her with lethal force to begin with?
Because Mizuki is a moron with super strength powers
>Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
He wanted to toy with him more
>Why didn't amnesiac Date go to the police after escaping from a kidnapping?
Because he didn't wear Saito's face and Uchikoshi doesn't want to spoil the first game
>Why did Date think there was something shady involving ABIS?
Find out in the 3rd game!
boss said no
boss said no
she didn't they started nonlethal then got the shit beaten out of them
idk lol
big tiddy
play ai3
But why would Boss send them to arrest Mizuki in the first place? Boss knew she was going to Brahman to see the dead body
cause she thought gen was the killer and correctly predicted mizuki would decide he wasn't and protect him
>cause she thought gen was the killer
But that's moronic. He's obviously not Tearer
that scene happens like an hour after ryuki psyncs into amame and does her fricked up quiz somnium. couple that with the fact that they found a body in gen's fridge so both of them are suspects.
Boss sends the police because they would resist and mizuki would defend them because they are her friends.
>mizuki would defend them because they are her friends.
absolutely no reason to believe one of her own officers would let a corpse in a freezer slide
she's an idiot, but not that much of an idiot
>>Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
I assumed it was Tokiko that unearthed Date rather than Tearer. As you say, Tearer would've just killed him.
>why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki during the New Cyclops Killings?
>during one timeline Date is in Boss' body, almost everyone is dead and has to deal with both Mizuki's all of a sudden
that timeline just got a lot more fricked up
Doesn't he die at the end cause her body was so fricked up? It's either that or they can put him back in Saito's body since Aiba stuns him.
Yeah, I think its safe to assume that ABIS is okay with Date swapping again to get into either Saito's or his original body at that point.
He doesn't die in that end
Would Date in Boss' body become a prostitute?
He dies moron. Its called the Anihilation Ending for a reason.
It's called annihilation because everyone else dies. Date himself is completely fine, he just has breasts now.
To be fair they didn't make it clear if he died or not - but he didn't have anything to live for outside of Mizuki at that point. That being said if he was alive then he'd probably an hero'd himself later on considering the damage Saito had already done.
Two Mikuzis, once Bibi got back from wherever the frick she was at during the first game
?t=1944
Boss' body has zero wounds and is fine. Date just freaks out because Hitomi dies, and in his cope he sends his information to true route Date.
>Boss' body has zero wounds
it was super injured when Date stopped Saito and a SWAT team with an explosion. At least a broken arm+leg that stopped Date from standing up at the end and probably some internal damage
>it was super injured when Date stopped Saito and a SWAT team with an explosion
You mean the explosion that only knocked "Boss" out and was outwardly completely fine?
It clearly didn't only knock Saito out since Date couldn't even stand after getting the body.
>Zero wounds
Not exactly. While not fatal, wasn't Boss' leg and arm fricked from encounter in Hitomi's house? There's a reason why Date couldn't attack Saito directly after the Psync bodyswap.
Did you even look at the video you linked? Not only is it bloodied in the thumbnail which would give you a clue, seconds before the timestamp you linked Saito literally says "You're the one who injured that body."
You are right about that, but the most important part is that it isn't fatal.
What makes you say it's not fatal? Cause Date sure talks like he's dying before the credits.
He just witnessed the death of someone he was trying to protect, after he had failed to save every other character. It makes sense he'd be talking like that.
Date doesn't seem the type to commit suicide, even if he lost a lot. He still has a daughter to take care of, plus he has breasts now.
>or prostituted himself out now that he's in Boss' body.
See now thats what im saying
>What makes you say it's not fatal?
Because fractures generally aren't fatal, particularly if they're treated.
They were fractures caused by an explosion that threw Saito against a wall, and again whatever was there was enough to make Date collapse and pass out after getting the body. Almost certainly went deeper than just breaks.
The original point was that we don't know what happened to Date after the Annihilation route, for all that we know he could have either killed himself or prostituted himself out now that he's in Boss' body.
Uchikoshi said that Date still beats Saito in the end after that route, but gets stuck in the Boss body.
so whats the downside?
>>Why didn't Bibi protect Mizuki when Boss sent the SAT to arrest her?
>>Why did Boss try to arrest her with lethal force to begin with?
>>Why did Tearer kidnap Date instead of just killing him
>>Why didn't amnesiac Date go to the police after escaping from a kidnapping?
>>Why did Date think there was something shady involving ABIS?
The answer to all of those is shoddy writing
In order:
>Boss sent Mizuki to seaworld
>Boss was on the rag
>He wanted to sexually assault Date
>He did, but aggressively hit on the older police officer and ended up going out with her for six years
>They deleted all his pornography, betraying his trust
Admit it. Both Carlos's and Ryuki's game are soul, and it's the most fun you had on Ganker in a long time.
>hdd full of ntr porn
Ehm...MC bros? Is that how a main character, a self insert in sort of way, supposed to behave?
>Date
>Self-insert in some way
Stop using words you don't even understand
Nothing wrong with some NTR.

Depends, is it Netorare, Netorase or Netori? Netorare can go either way. Netorase is cuckshit. Netori is extremely based and is what the great rape kinos are built off of. Rance is Netori. Rance is based.
If anyone has any requests I’ll probably draw something tonight

So i assume there are plotholes again? Like why Saito switched his body in the first place when he cant live without his unique brain chemistry?
>So i assume there are plotholes again?
So many plotholes that it's infuriating to anyone with a brain.
Everything makes sense if the entire game is in Somnium/simulation.
He was busy playing nipple guessing game.
So who were the voices at the beginning of the game that ask about spoilers/talk through Mama?
it was (me) talking to (you)
Uchikoshiiiiiii
some kind of entities that benefit from the frayer fraying (potentially these dipshits from the ARG)
note how they include Iris
They're the ones showing you the story of the game. That's why they can trigger spoiler text or not. Who are they? Why, Delta, of course.
Imagine Tokiko using the Naix gang sign to give you a handjob
shut up virgin
Imagine being Date. Every time you've just about gotten your life together you get hit with amnesia and lose yet another 6 years of your life.
>Thankfully you're into older b***hes and the hot b***hes around you just keep getting older
Why exactly is your avatar replaced with your Ai-Ball when you Psync into someone with one, again? Both Mazuki and Date were themselves when they Psynced into Date and Saito for the last time - confused why/how the psyncers typically instead represent themselves as their eyeball.
note how it's only when the Wadjet AI's are in when the timeline changes can occur
I think they're there to assist you. Mentioned in the first game IIRC.
Why did they introduce Conscious Anti-bodies as a mechanic if they are never used again after Chikara's Somnium? Their introduction and advertising led me to believe they would be a more prominent element in Somniums, but I guess not.
The sphere in Tearers's Somnium
its also used in tearer's somnium but yeah its weird its not used more
Can't wait for AI3 to have even more action scenes that are a complete waste of time.
they are kino cant wait
Only when Date is on screen. The foreign mercenaries are consistently funny too. I wonder if Uchikoshi wrote the b***h Avengers line.
>TFH962 written on his chest is not relevant
>voiced by a youtuber
>looks goofy
shit char imo.
The face xray is basically enough
The skeleton x-ray was enough really. I don't think Mizuki or Ryuki would've reacted in a way that made him happy because they were shocked just by his skull, so it's best they kept that to themselves.
To be fair they seemed less disgusted and more saddened, so chances are if they saw his real face, it could've led to a touching moment that also would've given him all the more reason to support them in their investigation as much as possible
oh, I just looked it up and it's a reference to an 80s movie.
https://celebritymachines.com/products/tfh962
b***h avengers is "Abazurangers", abazure being b***h. The name is more based on sentai, but the description in the appendix is clearly meant to be Avengers. Black Window is there in Japanese too. It's a shitty no effort literal translation but it's there.
The Hulk reference somewhere else is also there in Japanese.
Wait, what? I played using subs and I remember the foreign mercenaries speaking English
Japanese text
I was sick of them by the time you fight off the goons in Aioen and that entire ending felt like a chore.
It's funny how these scenes just come out of nowhere and last forever. In AI3 they'll be like the chicken fights from Family Guy.
Also, get out of the thread before you get spoiled, moron.
>mid
Back to twitter with you, homosexual.
sequel first so uchi recycling plots is less annoying
ndt8nh
Sequel is pretty good, play it when you can. Please leave thread before you get spoiled
AI2 is still very much worth it. Only 999 is worthy of being played.
Zero Time sequels fricking such ass
vlr is good
Niether are good. 999 seriously was a game that was one and done and the sequels suck all the life out of it.
AI1 and AI2 don't have that issue
nah, vlr is a better sequel than ai2
Not even fricking close. the act of going so apeshit with the alternate time lines is so stupid that it ruins the grounded nature of 999.
999 was clearly one and done but then uchikoshi decided to first bore the shit out of everybody and then confuse the frick out of everybody.
>999
>grounded
Excuse me
compared to the sequels, yes 999 is more grounded.
>the narration, which makes up most of the text in the game is actually the thoughts of younger akane as she is viewing the world through junpei's eyes in the future because she needs this information to survive the first nonary game
>grounded
VLR/ZTD are great
Shit taste. VLR is a better game than 999.
I really liked VLR, I'm surprised to see the negative reaction to it here.
VLR and ZTD are kino
>no Gen face reveal
I am extremely disappointed
the nil number is just a captcha

I bet mizuki has an erotic tummy.

It's boring. Ai Somnium doesn't hold a candle to 999.

I like the characters better in AI over 999, but the twist of 999 blew my dumb teen mind when i first played it on DS. Sudoku >>>>>>>> The shit it was replaced with in the Nonary Games collection.
Wait they replaced the sudoku puzzle? What they replace it with?
This attrocity.
>born too early to have an AI gf

Why does it feel like iris and date being important to each other in the first game has barely any mention in the 2nd
Iris's punishment for stealing Mizuki's place as a daughter in the true route was to be turned into a barely relevant braindead bimbo in NI.
Not just Iris, you could say the same for Aiba, Hitomi, and Mizuki.
If they delved too much into his relationship with them it'd be getting into acknowledging he's Falco so the stupid fricking spoiler protections hurt the story in that way and several others.
This somnium is something else with the pumpkin heads on.
That was one of my favorite gags.

Ota's on that sigma grindset. True chad.
Well he got started on his parents' money, so he only partially got there himself.

The only way to see it is to record it, but the altar can be seen in X-ray for a split second before Tama zooms in on the box, and the altar is empty. Shouldn't Uru's right half be there?
Uru died 6 years later
Then who was the blue figure Ryuki saw? Wasn't it Amame?
Oh the flowchart shit is so confusing. I don't know or care at this point lol, sorry anon.
Ryuki found the box after Uru was dead, the blue figure was Amame after putting Tokiko's body in the office
>why old psync machine no longer required eye removal
Upgraded by ABIS
>none of this is in the game
It's in the original Japanese text in the appendix (82), the shitty localization got lazy and just removed large amounts of details for no reason.
>Are Ryuki's parents alive?

To differentiate between the AI (simulation) world and real world, and maybe foreshadowing for Gen and Ryuki.
>why did Tokiko kill herself
It's part of her plot to get the frayer to notice
>why did Uru call himself Dahlia Boat in various ends
It's part of Tokiko's plot to get the frayer to fray the world. The name itself is an anagram of Ialdabaoth, the false god that created the world and binds souls to their material bodies.
>why did nobody mention an older Mizuki existing to her younger sister
Because it's stupid to assume that someone you see now is a clone or relative just because they resemble someone you think is unrelated to them that you saw six years ago.
>why does Date have Saito’s face and voice
Meta: To prevent spoilers for AI1.
In-game: See the explanation for face. As for the voice, Date (89) and Saito always had the same voice (actor) in Japanese, the shitty localization just gave them two different voice actors.

Hey, the English dub was pretty good all things considered. And I honestly preferred Saito and Falco having different VAs, made the different bodies feel like a bigger deal IMO.
this anon has been posting this almost every thread, and still thinks two seperate characters having two different actors is bad, he's an unironic weeb
frick off schizo
Whatever dude
>Should I play Ever17
>No
Uhhh why not? Isn't this Uchikoshi's best game?
It is, but if you've played VLR and Ai2 you know every single twist that's going to happen.
...Did he really just recycle every single idea from that game?
Uchikoshi recycles every idea from every game. Ai1's twist was recycled from Remember11. If you've played two or three Uchikoshi games you know everything that's going to happen in all of his other games. The man has something like ten twists and each VN he writes is a combination of two to four of them.
It was fun piecing together the order of things and led to some fun scenarios.
i kept reading about COMPLEX MOTIVES so now i can't think of it as stand alone lol. funny memes though
yeah so many characters really suffered, especially the relationship between date and aiba.
i liked it a lot, you might like it. it also has dumb shit tho lmao
>mostly with how the characters were treated.
The payoff just isn't worth it.
>avoided ZTD because of the stigma surrounding it
Form your own opinions
>Timeline trick
>Thought this was the same person? Nah it's two different timelines, one is a clone
>Thought this was the same person? Nah it's two different timelines, they look the same because they actually don't age lmao
>WE MUST SUMMON THE PLAYER TO SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS FOR US AS A DEUS EX MACHINA
yes he did
The big difference is that in E17 the meta player deus ex machina is treated as a completely good thing. He seems to have regretted this is in recent years and completely rewrote that part in the 360 version of E17, and in AI2 he presents it as the villain thing to do with the "happy" ending having an ominous tone.
In Ai2 it's just sort of...dumped on you the player directly and it's only a meta twist because they lied about the flowchart in the first place and if you just took it out the game would be pretty much the same.
he does it even in Punch Line
What was the twist again
I only remember the MC is actually a girl
This dude is actually a chick? I like reverse traps
Kinda sorta. Bodyswapping happened, so he (in spirit form) swapped with a girl as part of the big mixup. So the body's female, but he's still male
>Spoiler
Wow he really DOES the same thing over and over. He's an amazing hack for doing it this long, I hope I become as lazy as him and still have a job.
I fricking kneel Uchikoshi!

AI2 ruins E17.

At least let Tama peg him first
I'm fine with Tama's sloppy seconds tbh
I will take Tama while you're busy with Ryuki.
witnesssed
Yeah, it would have made sense if she had just broken out of the facility and was on the run, but years later it's a bit silly.
Is Shibuya Scramble any good?
Very good.
Arguably better than AI2
Not really. Jiro Ishii's stuff is kind of crap. There's a lot of "lol so randum" stuff and not in a good way. He's also fricking terrible at pacing. And in the games where he doesn't throw in lol so randum, they turn out to be boring as hell.
The only good games Jiro Ishii ever made are Little Lovers and Little Lovers 2.

No, he didn't have that, that sounds like shit honestly. Okabe deserves to be happy.
He did recycle it, that just boils down to "person you thought alive is actually dead", that's literally Uru in AI2.
