I already have. I want to play as Alan Wake in an Alan Wake game. I don't want to play as Barry. I don't want to play as some random nobody introduced especally for this game. I don't want to play as Alan's wife. I want to experience Alan's story, and only Alan's story.

Beau was an unreliable narrator in BiA. That's one of the things that made his journey so compelling and interesting. Half the film wasn't shot without Beau and featuring his neighbor in order to 'give a different perspective'.

How is it a false dichotomy? The 2B route is the game's events from 2B's perspective, which is really limited. They'd have to rewrite the whole story to flesh out the other paths without swapping points of view.

It is. She also has a 'mindplace' detective style room she can retreat to in order to piece together clues and stuff like in Deadly Premonition. Honestly, her gameplay looks great, which makes it so sad it's gated behind her instead of Alan.

It's vaguely similar in concept. Albeit very different in execution. It involves piecing together clues, experiencing flashbacks etc. That sort of stuff. There are definitely shades of Deadly Premonition there with the mindplace stuff.

In order to see EVERYTHING, yes. You do not NEED to play as Saga beyond the intro though, if you don't want to see her story.

Quantum Break isn't part of the Remedy-verse because Microsoft owns the IP or something.
So it's a different character entirely. Alex Casey remains the same because Remedy owns that character from the original Alan Wake.

I don't really see what one has to do with the other. Especially seeing as Remedy is working with Rockstar to do remakes for them instead of waiting to make the remakes until after they've purchased the rights. If Remedy really did get the IP back, I could see them incorporating MP into the shared universe.
