Aw shit gamers...
New chibishit autobattler just dropped...
Yooo let's fricking go #hype...
Top 10 mistakes new players make...
You MUST roll for Genzeibazukaka...
Alice Closet is the new hype for real...
Why Alice Fiction is heckin deadarino...
I just realized I said Alice Closet (RIP) but I'm not changing it.
I kinda doubt it. I do not see anyone talking about this game at all. The reddit is also dead. Maybe they really just want to push marketing after release so who knows.
This game being a comfy side game like Alchemy Stars would be good enough for me.
Some of them do it for free
I also just realized making a youtube channel and making videos about brand new gachas is a good idea for getting cheap easy views
It's almost time homies. Should there be a /vg/ general or do we hang around in this thread for a while to see if the game is worth sticking around on?
Keep getting this. I hope it's a server problem and not because it just won't work on my laptop. I'm watching another guy stream and he's using bluestacks as well and the game is running fine for him.
I think he's getting errors too and people in his chat are saying the same thing. It's a new game so it probably just isn't optimized for emulators yet. The game also put me on default low settings even though I can run Punishing Gray Raven on high and play fine, and the game doesn't look more demanding than PGR.
I'm using bluestacks 5 64-bit. The error pops up right when there's character dialogue after the optimization red screen thing. I might just download mumu and see if it works on that.
Alright I just got in, finished the tutorial and rerolled several times. Noticed that the fps is capped at 30, so I turned my graphic settings up. Restarted and I can't get in.
So the initial free gacha lets you reroll, with guaranteed 3*. So I guess the strat is just stack as many 2* as you can get because I can't seem to get more than 1 3*.
The combat is actually nice. It's like a cross between Granblue and Bejeweled. The music is good too. I think I'll stick around on this and maybe make a general on /vg/ if no one else will.
Hell I'll make it right now. Any suggestions on what to put in the OP? Also I would assume the featured gacha banner that has Musashi and Qin Shi Huang is the best thing to roll on with quartz right now.
Got three 3*s in 20 but all attackers. Pretty weird. Translation seemed okay until skills came into play though. >special attack down written >regular defense drops instead
>Oh hey this art looks pretty alright, what's the gameplay look li-
Yeah I think I'm good just seeing this battle screen.
I'm guessing almost no actual gameplay, but it wants hours out of you a day for minimal progress?
This is about as far away from how the game actually is. It's essentially the opposite. Auto mode sucks, and it lets you skip most things you did 3 star once. The only thing you can't skip is the underground and pvp arena.
You aren't guaranteed to like it, and the game really doesn't explain its mechanics too well, but the gameplay is pretty damn well done, once you understand. Took me a while as well though.
It's one of those games where I generally won't ever use auto simply because it's first of all fun to play and second it would feel really awful how INEFFICIENT auto is.
God damn, this is actually really good. Some skills have the wrong effects listed and the character sprites aren't great, but the presentation otherwise is fantastic, I think this is the prettiest UI I've ever seen in a mobile game, maybe any game. And the gameplay is actually engaging so far too.
Gameplay is good until you realize the auto is better, then it's just the 100th autobattler this year. Reminds of world flopper in that sense, both games would have probably been better off without auto (but keep the skips).
Everything else is good to great but I can't play a game without satisfying gameplay so sadly another skip for me. Also a critical lack of dicky from what I seen.
Auto is dogshit and only good when you overleveled contents. It doesn't prioritize setting up for DPS crash skills & also doesn't know how to save skills to one-shot bosses.
Auto's only better if you really suck. It only gets bonuses in the 5x-7x range and I'm already doing better than that. Never mind it being braindead regarding skills.
Dont think so
I am getting Lancelot and they I am trying to get Musashi with all the free gems with featured gacha. At least game lets you skip initial tutorial on rerolls
I hope the fanservice is as good as Crash Fever in this one, or at least not a total downgrade. Really getting tired of the whole "fanservice being inversely proportional to production value" trend I've been seeing the past few years
I flipped through this thread and noticed that no one brought up what I said during the CBT thread.
If you are interested in this game due to its metaverse theme, don't bother. Unless they heavily rewrote it from the CBT, it fails epically at that. Basically, unlike the .hack games which had the protagonist teaming up with other characters that represented players, this has the player teaming up with characters that represent AI which throws out the window the interconnectivity of a metaverse setting. The exception to this is one of the girls which basically makes her Best Girl by default.
No one as far as I know. I was talking more about the setting. The setting and characterization is quite important for a gacha. Why would you want to play a post-apocalyptic waifu game if that setting doesn't interest you at all? Similarily, even if you are a fan of a post-apocalyptic stuff and want to play such a waifu game it still won't look fun if the waifus are insufferable due to malicious writing.
In the case of this game, what is supposed to make it stand out is the metaverse setting but it fails completely at it and the characterization fails because the the whole idea of the usable characters being AI (Except for that one girl) is part of the reason why the game fails at a metaverse setting.
Literally the most popular ones like FGO are for their story, same for GFL or Arknight, most is their events rather than main. Stop playing candy crush
3 actually, but considering you had to rush through the story asap to unlock the arena and participate in the first season, for most players it only lasted 2-3 days
Anyway I'm not sure where those tens are coming from, it should be just 3 yeah
Downloaded it on my phone, but it keeps giving me this error before it downloads the data after i open the game. Not having any issues with the bluestacks emulator. Cant find anything about this on their discrod or web. Anyone else having this issue?
oh come on lmao. games not working on some emulators goes with the territory
it was working fine for me on bluestacks but I had some minor issue so I switched to mumu to fix it. it barely takes any effort
July's revenue was beyond great for a new IP, and I assume august can only be more profitable (Gura's and other chuubas sponsored streams, vacations)
But of course that's not the whole story, the more you play the more... stale and uninteresting the game feels, so the future is uncertain.

They need to actually stop being so messy. Event stages don't count for normal dailies. Hard double drop-rate during event, but not counting for the event either. Missions liking to break, so you can't get your reward until it fixes itself at some point by fulfilling the condition again. Repeatable event gacha being atrocious as frick and not even remotely worth it. Random kicks to title still not fixed.
They just need to calm down, take a deep breath, and start polishing this mess. It's not a bad game, but content isn't the problem right now.
Nah. The kicks happen immediately. It's a bug. Not some kinda "I couldn't connect" or whatever issue. Connection related issues look different. The game already had those as well.
At this point not really, unless you spend quartz (and why would you) it takes 2-3 days to clean a lineup, you're better off farming mats and hard quests

I agree. Endless has been REALLY undertuned. In general, the event rewards are pretty.. meh.
Max stamina is only 100 when its peers BA/Priconne is 200 with the same stamina recovery, forcing me to login 3-4 times a day. Just pushing me to stop playing
Early-game BA/Priconne is also ~100 cap. Those give more f2p stamina though so you get past it faster. BA has the stamina you can buy from pvp shop and Priconne has the passive generation from the furniture you get from beating dungeon bosses for the first time
I think they want to kill the game. The hard boss is overtuned as frick HP wise. What a lame as frick fight. Unless you are well into the fifties, forget about beating that in the turn limit.
Sometimes I wonder why always morons design these games. What the frick are they even smoking. The event rewards are shit as always, and then a hard boss you can't skip unless you whaled on energy and thus have to pay double tickets for attempts because of the turn limit.
They should fix their game instead of doing shit events with awful rewards, awful enemy designs and tons of purchase packs. For example underground is still bugged with a random party formation being defaulted to at the beginning, with completely unfitting world fragments equipped. (i.e. phys on spec attacker)
They sure don't make it easy to stick around.
I feel like they just screwed up the element, because my water party that the event is clearly designed around would have no trouble with it if it was fire.
I don't think so. 160k HP are A LOT. I did a cheese build based around virus slayer and got through 150k, but 160k is really a LOT. (Rank 47) I used earth dude, 2 debuffers for virus slayer and the absolutely mandatory Musashi. (3 sec panel break time + insane atk buff + high crash damage)
My other attempt was my typical party, but with Uchi swapped for Amadeus. So Asclepius (because description said something about atk debuffs and those being a trigger for the bomb, but that's a fricking lie), earth dude, Amadeus and Mushashi. Amadeus wasn't even really that good and she gets buffed by the boss being dark and deals obviously light damage. I also had Longinus in the back, but she didn't do much either. No wonder with her generally low power stuff. It ended up doing about 130k.
Water boss would imply Musashi would deal way less damage while still mandatory. That'd be a full disaster.
The event 1star is actually a pretty hard counter to light/dark, but to PHYSICAL. This boss is magical. But then it's a 1 star.
Anyway, the game threw Summer Neu in 20 pulls at me. I guess that's the apology?
>160k HP are A LOT
It's worse than that actually.
Technically you are supposed to use Light attacks but the only 2 light attackers are both kinda mediocre in my opinion.
Vurus abuse seems like the only good option but its truly way too much.
They should make underground skippable if you've cleared it. I just do easy since it takes too long.
Really, i thought it was me missing the skip but there's no skip at all, its not even hard to implement...
160k hp would be easy on any other boss, but the boss either has really high defense or some kind of damage reduction. My team that does 30k damage per turn on auto, and more like 50k-80k on manual in most other content barely does 20-25k damage against that boss on manual.
It's over level 50. Do you do that much more to the boss at the end of the hard underground? That boss is a few levels lower and has WAY less HP, but takes about the same amount of damage I'd say.
So I'd not say 160k would be easy on other bosses. Unless they are very low level. The HP is bloated by factor 5 without giving any extra turns. It's just a dumb move by them. Again.
Pretty much. I am sure the bad account system killed it. People losing accounts left and right. Genshin 3.0 is also coming out soon. ToF probably also took some players.
Why would anyone spend money on this game when everything gets deleted if your app breaks somehow.
Can't recommend that. The games is insanely shoddy. And unlike Alice Fiction, ToF has no excuse as the game was out for a long while. Stuff like enemies simply not getting hit by your skills, or some things hitting more often than they should, getting hit by literally nothing and so on happens way too often.
The game needed another year or two of beta.
Alright, let's talk mechanics and summer Neu. Most was already known, but I'd figure I'd do a small summary.
-Stacking shit: Things of the same kind don't stack but strictly overwrite, however different sources DO stack.
So for example Musashi: She has a passive ATK buff when she's the only Attacker (can be enhanced with certain world memories that do that on self given buffs) and can give herself a buff based on how many tiles absorbed. (again, can be enhanced by those world memories) This stacks. What also stacks is for example summer Neu's crash ATK buff, as the source is a crash which is different from a skill. This isn't a self given buff, aka those world memories won't work on this. This is also why earth dude's skill and crash def debuff stack together.
Further, any other buffs can also be applied in the same logic. Viviane's passive virus slayer and skill virus slayer can work together, and also together with normal atk buffs.
-Crash side effects: They do NOT get enhanced by powering up the crash. For example summer Neu's attack buff remains the way it is, no matter how strong you make the crash via plenty of skill panels. This implies that this Neu's fourth skill is kinda bad, as it makes her get more panels. On the flipside it works okay with Musashi in a solo attacker lineup, as nobody else really needs many crashes anyway.
-Summer Neu can also lengthen the input time, which curiously stacks with Musashi's, kinda breaking the rule of similar things not stacking. Both come from a skill after all. Summer Neu's depends on tiles broken. Curiously her Atk buff on the same skill is NOT depending on it, which I consider a bug. It might even be a bug that the input time lengthen gets amped instead, though 0.4 seconds felt like it's really little.
Regardless, currently Musashi + Summer Neu = Inputs forever, and as long as you have no other water ally around you can still use Uchi or whatever.
Not gonna lie, i'm reaching the breaking point.
The game is supposed to be pretty much a prindicky clone but it's worse in every single aspect, and i'm playing the jp for almost 4 years.
I liked the "in the future you will get more gems!" it really made me giggle, they think the game will reach that foreseen future but i doubt it will.
I expect the gw to be absolutely shit too, probably gonna wait until then just tobe sure.
Ok so... "trial and error" on normal is a problem but not for hard that clearly got bigger problems.
I'm sure i too could do that trial and error they talk about, let me just roll more.
Stamina honestly feels like a joke in this context.
It IS beatable, pretty easily even. The only issue is that you probably need to two attempt it, because of the dumb turn limit. I guess that's the stamina. 1200 of that should give you a free ~10 boss attempts.
Of course the same goes for normal, so it doesn't really need to be nerfed.
I feel like my turns are ending much faster, and I don't recall changing anything
>The only issue is that you probably need to two attempt
That's not a little issue for sure, expecially because you are supposed to one-shot it.
I can't do much because rng has been cruel and i'm missing a lot of core units.
Virus slayer is the only real idea. That and def debuff etc. If you don't have at least Musashi, it's gonna be really tough though. I tried it with a 3 star Musashi a few levels lower than
My one-shot party for the hard boss
and like 10k HP was left. 4 star Musashi and rank 50 should be pretty safe? I'll try it then. Pretty much same party as that guy, but I'll probably use summer Neu with earth guy, Musashi and the virus slayer girl. Gotta get Neu to rank 7, which should be today, and then level 50.. which could be today as well. Previously I used another 2 star virus debuffer, for reference.
Honestly, other than being high enough level and having immediately started buying Musashi coins while having her, it's gonna be next to impossible to 1 turn that boss. Their "trial and error" isn't really working. It's just a damage race. And no character does even remotely the damage that Musashi does. Plus her 3 sec more input time is a HUGE thing as well.
To add to this, yes it works. A little RNG is needed (my virus buffer got a few tile buffs by the boss, which can be too much if you are a bit weaker), but it worked.
One heck of a tanky boss. Without those buffs and debuffs the damage goes down so damn much. Also Neu definitely can help, though her buff can't win against the boss' one.
Who knows. Maybe they are other working ideas.
With this boss now, the first thing I actually did is level and rank 5 the girl that can delete buffs on her crash target. I feel like a lot of this kinda stuff might be needed at some point. Generic dispels could also work in this fight, to remove unwanted extra tile gain for a character.. provided it counts as a debuff.
For this event I'm good, with a skip including +47% logs. But yeah. If this becomes the standard, it's about time to raise all those characters with rather specific and unique things to them. I already kinda did that, but I never thought OFFENSE of all things could be a lacking thing, with Musashi existing and all. I raised the virus girls for Ushiwakamaru memes, not this.
Ahhhh, finally managed to beat the boss in one shot! Here's the team I managed to clear with, everyone is Grade 6 or 7 with all available offensive nodes equipped except Andersen who was only Grade 5 but she's only really there for her double def debuffs. I had to use all 7 turns but I was doing around 20k-25k damage per turn and it only had 5k left on the last turn so there is a bit of wiggle room if you have a bad turn or two.
In hindsight I ought to have put Andersen in 4th position since the boss goes in unit order for the 1st 4 turns when doing the tile boost so it would've let me get the boost for Musashi and Lancelot while their stat buffs were still up.
Just a note that if you can't do it, just quit out of the battle last turn. You get your tickets back.
This is one of those things they should first of all communicate, and second of all allow you to do even after failing to beat it in one go. Because really, if you are that close, RNG can probably help you.

Nice. Didn't even know it goes by char position for this. But yeah, the event Andersen is an idea. Do her def debuffs actually stack with earth dude's? I actually didn't think so, because def debuff = def debuff. Sure, they are slightly better vs. light/dark, but I didn't feel like that's worth a slot if you use earth dude. If those stack though, as they are considered "different" for whatever reason.. that'd be interesting.
The boss goes in character position order for the first 4 turns, then after that I THINK it's random. At the very least I'm pretty sure it doesn't just loop back to 1 again.
As for the debuffs stacking, you can have one each of Passive, Active, and Crash of the same type active. So you can have Andersen's passive debuff (small but better than nothing), one of either Andersen's or Qin Shi's active debuffs (they both have 4 turn cooldowns so you'll always have one of them up), and Qin Shi's crash debuff all at the same time. It really adds up to a lot of shred, especially since Andersen actually has the stronger active skill and you don't have to worry about having the one turn of no shred with only Qin Shi. I just wish Andersen was either physical or Water type to take better advantage of the event memories and the shred... It definitely felt like I was doing better than when I tried using Summer Neu or Longinus, in any case.
Summer Neu should be better though, with input time increase and offensive buff on Musashi. Input time is so big. It makes the big turns count. Sure there are off turns, but alas.
And yeah, eventually it's random, or low atk ally, because my virus slayer girl had at least 3 turns extra tiles.
>had to pity Summer Neu >beat chapter 6 out of... currently 8, I think? And had help from the level up pack >and THEN Summer Drommy shows up
Should I just hoard till next summer?
You don't need all units. So far no really good unit has been released. Pretty much everything really good is in the game and farmable. Summer Neu gives an interesting gimmick, but there's no way she's actually good. At least not until the change how crashs work and fix her second skill's bug. (getting basically no atk buff at all from the skill)
Looks like afg is ded. This game also lacks a co leader system, so the guild is probably done.
Honestly, they add all this guild shit now, while essential basics aren't even there? Why?
Not sure what they are thinking. Underground is still bugged. "Optimize party" is still bugged. As such the entire idea of it doesn't even work. Whatever the frick they'll do with the team battles doesn't even matter, when older stuff is still in an unplayable state.
I feel like this game really had potential, but they really don't follow up on it. If it lasts a year I could see it being pretty good. But that's a big if.
What exactly are they copying here? People often say this game copies a lot of stuff from Blue Archive and PriCon, but the Team Hunt here seems to be pretty different from their guild modes.
The only complaint I have at the moment is that I wish you could carry over turns with a team to the next round of fights until you ran out, almost feels like a waste when the bosses go down in just one or two turns even on the Hard mode.
Its just like Princonne, 3 hits and call the day but theres no OF and that means if the boss is at very low hp you gonna waste an hit to kill it, also just 5 turns. Both are stupid ideas but the lack of a OF is VERY bad in my opinion.
You don't lose an attempt if you finish an already hurt boss, as far as the description said. No idea if it's only for fights left by others or yourself as well. My 3 bosses all went down in one fight.
What I found more annoying is basic shit like mechanics doing what they want. The third boss buffs themselves with a huge damage increase against a type. I even had a dispel character with me, because that's the obvious answer to nasty buffs on bosses, right? Yeah. Right. Just that it doesn't fricking work.
I hate that shit with a passion. Why have chars that can do all kinds of things just for bosses to not care?
>You don't lose an attempt if you finish an already hurt boss, as far as the description said.
Well i can assure you i do have wasted one hit on a medium because the boss was almost dead, dunno if it was a bug but surely lame.
Regarding the dispel not working: yes.
That happened to me against some pve but bosses and the last event raid, definitely something extremely annoying that can completely ruin your battle.

They are more a waste of a turn or two, but that's it.
To be fair though I also hate all those defender only defense teams. You are just annoying. Against anyone actually playing normally, you lose anyways. There's also zero reason for winning a defense given the utter pittance of a reward and no penalty for losing. Also, pvp sucks ass. Just.. stop and make it easy for other poor chaps playing that crap. No idea why they push you back an entire bracket every fricking week. Do that maybe once a month, so you can progress without paying.. oh wait. You want them to pay, huh. Then how about you just make it pay to access instead, so we have that clear, and remove the daily and the pvp coin shop.
On another note, they just added a billion things for the roadmap. Including quartz you only get if you have twitter. They are.. morons. As much as I like the concept of the game, pvp is still crap, underground is still bugged.. now twitter only shit happens that they are too lazy to implement in the game.
What is happening? The most basic shit still doesn't work. I'm getting really tired of doing the same underground every fricking day with exactly the same characters, moves and so on. Likewise pvp. It's been almost 2 months. They could just copy and paste the team setup thing from clan battles to the underground. Pvp is arguably a mess that can't be easily fixed, but it's more likely to make people quit the game than add to the fun, so you can at least close it until you have something better. [/rant]
This game makes me sad. Potential is wasted. So damn much. And it's not like this game is carried by characters, music and/or story either. The.. opposite.
After the clan war I can say: All in on anything with big def debuffs, especially combinations of passive, active and crash. It matters by far the most. By FAR the most.
Against the hard boss with no weakness attacks but big def debuff (close to 4k) -> ~800k damage. Against the medium boss (plant) with a full fire team, with atk buffs, plant slayer and whatnot, also including a Musashi but only about 1.6k debuff -> ~400k damage.
But the new unit isn't necessarily bad. Def debuffs are absolutely hard required, but you still need someone to do damage.
I just got a world memory and 0 characters in the game apply to its condition. It amps burn and has a bonus status res for debuff chars. There is NO debuff char that inflicts burn. Only attacker and buffer.
How does this happen? How do you create a 5 star world memory that can't be efficiently used by anyone?
They screw really hard on first month with bug and error, almost lost my account because one time bind, and match 3 game certainly not everyone cup of tea, i find it fun though and will stick this game until the end and also i'm trying to keep /afg/ alive as well
How the frick is the new update so broken? I can't do anything that pops up a second window, such as looking at WM or character info, or buying stuff from the Exchange. There's been a couple of data downloads since this started but so far nothing's been fixed yet and there's no mention about it in the news.
I haven't had any issues with major bugs either until now. Although the issue seems to have randomly fixed itself after leaving the game running for a while on the stuck screen, so I guess it's all good now?
lmao what the frick i knew i had it coming with the fricking pronouns in the beginning but they completely change some dialogue that ever mentions gender. fricking americans man
no, it completely REMOVES any mention of gender, not only for you. like early on andromeda specifically mentions 男 and 兄弟 when you first see her talk about her origin, but it's completely cut out in the english text
You still have him and her. I saw it multiple times.
>underground now can save party lineup
Bless this update
It cuts down party building by 20%. I need that for all 5 fights, because you really should use 5 different parties.
Also I really hope they fix the arena bug soon. The wrongly done auto target can actually not be removed if another enemy pulls aggro, until that enemy's aggro is gone. I thought at first that bug isn't too bad because you can remove the wrongly put target, but it's actually not and people bug abuse like hell. (doesn't usually matter, but still)
So, prices changed, or something. Gotta be honest, I don't remember how things were before. Just one thing I know: The 30 day pass got fricked so hard it's hilarious. Instead of: 3k quartz, 90 anima medals and 30 keys over 30 days, you now get: 2k quartz, 30 anima medals and 10 keys over 10 days. Prices otherwise look similar yet different, so I honestly don't know.
-33% value on quartz, -66% on anima medals (one of the main reasons to get it), same price. I.. uh.. don't think any kind of price regulations require such a massive cut in value. Either this is a honest mistake, or they used this time as an excuse to remove one of the better ways to spend money. Wouldn't be surprised if there's something not quite right though.
I don't know if the changes are final yet. Most of the obvious stuff was the same for me, but I'm not sure.
Pricon global dropped the ball hard and gave EU an exclusive +25% increase. I only hope it's not the same here, but honestly.. I'd like to think there aren't two companies stupid enough to raise prices by that much when there's not even any reason to as the platform (google) didn't change anything.
I have nearly clawed my way back to 200 pulls (54000 quartz + 20 char tickets) without spending a cent. I'll be able to have whatever the next holiday character they release guaranteed.
Speaking of holiday characters, I can't be the only one who thinks Summer vacation Anderson is really good, right? The debuff effects to light/dark are just ridiculous.
She is. Best limited so far. In general they release better 2 stars than 3 stars as well. It's funny. Downside is, you kinda have to invest into them if you want them as 3 stars. Usually they are more supports though, which makes it unnecessary.
Best to star up: Characters needing to deal damage, and characters with a really good/important passive. Normal skills seem to not benefit.
I'm getting close to a second spark ready. I always pull a little here, a little there when I see promising things, especially of lower rarity. Goethe in particular is a REALLY good support that fits right into one of the dumbest and most OP parties you can build right now. In theory an aoe party that however shits out so much damage, I even use it against the current clan hard boss.
It's main purpose is however to roll through the very hard underground without ever using skills/swapping chars until the boss where you then can use all skills. It's funny how much the game pushes this team currently. You get a free Wang centered 5 star world fragment (including 2 dupes?) to amp the debuff shit even more and a world fragment that gives more input time for your first turn. Gotta try the hardest difficulty of the underground soon and see if this still works. Scary what a party with only native 2 stars can do. You know it's silly when Uchi suddenly looks weak.
Wait, do passives get upgraded when you rank up a character? I've not noticed any changes in the few characters I've upgraded, but then again this game doesn't show you jack shit when upgrading characters so I could have just missed it.
I say summer neu is also decent unit just overshadowed by kojiro, but both of them have different uses
Wait, do passives get upgraded when you rank up a character? I've not noticed any changes in the few characters I've upgraded, but then again this game doesn't show you jack shit when upgrading characters so I could have just missed it.
Not only passive, crash skill and skill get significant upgrade too, here is example wang from 2* to 3* crash skill
The only difference is the damage there; are you sure that's not just the increase in stats that ranking up provides? Even just leveling up will increase that since the unit's attack goes up. Do any other parts of her kit get boosted?
Ah nevermind, I just realized I had enough to rank up Antoinette to 3* and saw for myself. Her passive did go up a bit, but not her two active skills. That's actually pretty neat, and would be a LOT easier to appreciate if the game actually showed you what changed on rankup. Can't even see how much the stats went up...
Yeah, i was double checking again, it seems only crash skill damage and passive only affecting star up, seems good when you want to focus on raising dps or character that have very good passive
Crash damage could just rise with attack power. Hard to say, but atk buffs and the likes do affect it. I never paid attention to it with grade upgrades though. I have one char claimable so I could test it with her at some point.
Regardless though, star ups are largely useful for passives and offensive characters. That shouldn't change.
Part 3 of the current event gives the final LB mats for Wang's broken world fragment. Balance.
On top of that, score attack. Reminds me of Heaven Burns Red, and I wouldn't be surprised if that inspired it. If it works like that, you can expect a lot of different difficulty levels and additional challenge multipliers that restrict things or add resistances to the boss.
On another note, the middle clanbattle boss is actually the hardest. Kinda hilarious, but a Wang party doesn't work (earth gets resisted), earth dude is useless (.. earth gets resisted), and even though you'd think Musashi has a field day, the lack of def down stacking and need to go phys against a phys boss is actually brutal. Andersen (not the summer variant) plus this one fire dude are all you can really do, which isn't great. Double so because Andersen is squishy and if you are unlucky.. you lose a lot of def down immediately.
Meanwhile the hard one has multiple ways of how you can counter it. Wang party should work , though you want to have the sole earth spec. atk. defender to make sure Cleopatra doesn't die, or be lucky she doesn't die in 2 turns. Summer Andersen + earth dude + Musashi also work, Though again, you have to be either lucky or add an aggro puller who does that turn 2. (not turn 1. The boss adapts and just does defender killer instead of attacker killer which kills your defender fast)
I regret not raising more than one defender actually. First time I ever made use of one, though in the end I got lucky without one in the Wang party and could beat the hard one twice in a day. I was surprised.
A thing about the wizard underground. For the upcoming part 3 there's a mission about clearing it which seems required for the grand price: 200(?) anima medals. I did a run today.
-The way to the boss isn't too bad. However the boss is insane. It has defense that's not funny anymore. Even the biggest def down and you can be happy if you deal 20k damage per turn. (it has over 200k HP and regens 10% every 3 turns)
-Option 1: Lancelot. Honestly I'd say this isn't enough without being very high level. (i.e. max level), but I haven't tried her.
-Option 2: The new 2 star that has curse. You can freely reset the battle till it hits. This will make the boss hit themselves for a total of ~100k damage over 3 turns. Depends a bit on your units. Venom and other dots are useful as well, because your chars will hardly hit for more.
I don't have Lancelot ( I can claim her though), and the only reason I could get past this was curse. So with Lancelot this should be a lot easier, unless the boss has some kinda weird damage cut mechanic. Element is water btw, so that is another reason.
Good luck, and bring an hour if you attempt it. Without Lancelot nor curse, just forget about it or bringe a LOT of patience for trial and error.
Thanks for the strategies, I decided to finally give the Wizard stage a try and it was pretty smooth sailing once I got the curse to stick.
Sadly, I don't think Lancelot's def ignoring is working properly because she did not do much more than other attacking units after taking into account type advantage and such. The only other options I can see are that the boss DOES have some kind of damage capping, or the defense ignoring only applies to the 20% extra damage, which at my current level 66 only amounts to about 2k damage before buffs and killers.
One other suggestion I'd make is do NOT bring the two extra side units. Because the boss seems to attack the entire party at once most of the time, I found that often the side units would come out after losing my entire party at once, and then the fight would last long enough for the boss to get to the next heal while the extra units only added a marginal amount of damage.
I beat the boss with the following 3 teams:
- Wang/Cleopatra/Archimedes/Hippocrates (this was just my floor clearing team, just used them for a bit of chip damage since they were already half dead, fight ended after 2 turns)
- Qin Shi Huang/Kanryusai (the Curse user)/Lancelot/Eurystheus (needed a buff unit for Kan and a 3rd Earth for Lancelot, plus she has a ton of anti-Water buffs) this team did the majority of the damage. Qin is actually surprisingly tanky and managed to live two turns longer than everyone else, which only ended up giving the boss an extra heal.
- Salieri/Hannibal/Viviane/Amadeus, just Virus memes while trying to get a bit of extra damage with Salieri/Amadeus's debuffs. Surprisingly, I was actually able to put Attack Bind on the boss which I'd always just assumed was impossible for bosses for whatever reason. Depending on whether the boss's heal is tied to the attack itself or just the heal, maybe you could cancel the turn 3 heal with either Amadeus or Solieri?
I only thought of this after the fact, but curse is ideal to use with 2 trash low grade 1 star units, and 2 backup units that die before turn 6 when they come in. You wanna maximize the damage taken, and if you are very sqishy the boss wipes you so fast, additional chars help to further amp it.
Also I think the heal is a skill, so skill bind could help. Supposedly the healing down debuff some chars have can also stick and help.
I did the wizard underground boss with 5 lvl 10 and the curse unit, and the boss had 30k HP after the fight. Very cheesy.
On another note, they are dumb. They really want you to clear all undergrounds during the event, when you have a fricking 3times drop from it? 6 times with the paid 7 day pass? Like holy shit. That's a big frickup. You lose something like 10k dungeon coins like this.
First time trying wiz 1, i'm bit surprise wang comp doesn't do much damage against boss (even with 5* cleo), the 2nd rematch with QSH/lancelot/Gilles/Eurystheus is more breeze than i thought it will be, gilles is such underated character, her passive with earth comp make party tanky and do more damage overall
Anyone manage to kill the Very Hard score boss? I've managed to get him down to about 66k HP with Curse and some really good luck getting lots of Musashi+Lancelot panels for more damage than usual. Not sure if a special attacking team would be better, but I don't think I have enough good special units to make a full team of 6.
You need too much power. It's not really worth it, unless you have that (5 stars, high level) and the world fragments to boot.
The score attack has really dumb rules that are nowhere explained either. Doing exactly the same thing I get points from 300k to 650k on the hard one, that I do because it's faster. Absolutely nonsensical. No real rewards past 2500 coins either, so it's whatever.
It's actually such a garbage mode. I apparently expected too much, that they'd at least somewhat go with what HBR does, one of the biggest Gacha on the market. The difference between hard and very hard is also way too big to the point you can trash hard in a turn, but not manage to do very hard at all.
The mode is counting how much crash skill and panel breaking you can use, big problem is panel and skill like clock/magnet are pretty much mercy to rng too so score is also randomize on how much lucky you're with panel breaking
Can't Dew™ this anymore.
Don't worry, I'm pre-registered.
See you on the battlefield or whatever...
Art and spritework is nice
It just installed, are the servers not live yet?
Does it give you an error? It's doing that for me and I'm on bluestacks.
8pm PDT 7/26.
It clearly says as much
did this game really get 1 million preregistrations?
Doubtful.
Nobody gives a frick about this game, huh?
I do
We are 2 then. This is a global release, right? There are no tier lists or anything right now.
I'm too lazy to reroll so I'll just stick to whatever I get. You're supposed to get 40 free rolls though which is nice.
Guess account available or nah?
You can delete your data on the start screen, so easy rerolls. It even skips the tutorial if you completed it once.
>Release date planned for July 26th, 2022 at 8:00 PM (PDT)
So in 3 hours. Too bad, I will be asleep during the release.
>Gawr Gura will stream the game
Well damn this game is gonna get popular
I kinda doubt it. I do not see anyone talking about this game at all. The reddit is also dead. Maybe they really just want to push marketing after release so who knows.
This game being a comfy side game like Alchemy Stars would be good enough for me.
isn't getting streamer/vtuber to stream your game just marketing now?
seems expensive and does not always work out like sin chronicle
Some of them do it for free
I also just realized making a youtube channel and making videos about brand new gachas is a good idea for getting cheap easy views
it's saturated as frick, also if you search any of the gacha titles on youtube you would already seen those with clickbait title/thumbnail.
It's almost time homies. Should there be a /vg/ general or do we hang around in this thread for a while to see if the game is worth sticking around on?
Aight.
That's a skip.
Let's try Octopath.
Anyone else getting
>unexpected error occurred
getting error code 0x892 lads
Keep getting this. I hope it's a server problem and not because it just won't work on my laptop. I'm watching another guy stream and he's using bluestacks as well and the game is running fine for him.
can you ask that guy in the chat, if he is using bluestacks 32 bit or 64 bit? I'm using a 64 bit one and getting that error as well
I think he's getting errors too and people in his chat are saying the same thing. It's a new game so it probably just isn't optimized for emulators yet. The game also put me on default low settings even though I can run Punishing Gray Raven on high and play fine, and the game doesn't look more demanding than PGR.
I see, thank you, guess I'm gonna wait a few hours before trying again
At which point of the game you guys are getting errors? I'm using Bluestacks P64.
>The error pops up right when there's character dialogue after the optimization red screen thing
getting this too
no skip for the vn parts?
Okay it let me in on mumu. If you're having trouble with bluestacks then I suggest switching over to mumu.
So the initial free gacha lets you reroll, with guaranteed 3*. So I guess the strat is just stack as many 2* as you can get because I can't seem to get more than 1 3*.
Get Lancelot, roll for Musashi and earth dude.
Earth dude is Qin Shi Huang, yes?
The combat is actually nice. It's like a cross between Granblue and Bejeweled. The music is good too. I think I'll stick around on this and maybe make a general on /vg/ if no one else will.
Alright anon I'll make sure it won't die too quickly too.
Hell I'll make it right now. Any suggestions on what to put in the OP? Also I would assume the featured gacha banner that has Musashi and Qin Shi Huang is the best thing to roll on with quartz right now.
That'd be alright.
Okay I made a quick general on /vg/. If anyone has more info about the game dump it in the thread.
Legit I keep thinking who's this 'they' they keep referring about. I forgot I selected they as my pronouns
What does your sister call you in that case? Was surprised it actually switched between male/female
>Asclepius
>Qin and Musashi in 6k gems
I'll take it
Lucky ass
Also post in the /vg/ general pls
Got three 3*s in 20 but all attackers. Pretty weird. Translation seemed okay until skills came into play though.
>special attack down written
>regular defense drops instead
It's one of those games where I generally won't ever use auto simply because it's first of all fun to play and second it would feel really awful how INEFFICIENT auto is.
anyone have the data on the new units they added outside of the tutorial gacha? here's joan
and here's archimedes
rousseau
kenshin
And Long.
I made a team (game clan) and it's called /afg/. Have your message include /afg/ when joining. Team ID is QJMUhbrY
God damn, this is actually really good. Some skills have the wrong effects listed and the character sprites aren't great, but the presentation otherwise is fantastic, I think this is the prettiest UI I've ever seen in a mobile game, maybe any game. And the gameplay is actually engaging so far too.
Applied, about to go to bed for today though.
Never mind it being braindead regarding skills.
>world flopper
I still play that game 😉
the auto isnt better brainlet
the /vg/ thread said auto is almost useless compared to manual
Are you guys already full? Seems like I cannot find the team for whatever reason with both the name and or ID .
Is Pygmalion not in the reroll banner?
They are but just a 2*. Did notice they were a bit rare.
can you get multiple 3 stars from the tutorial pull?
Dont think so
I am getting Lancelot and they I am trying to get Musashi with all the free gems with featured gacha. At least game lets you skip initial tutorial on rerolls
Kind of weird how this game has really high quality animated backgrounds and then characters that only have awkward facial animation.
what's crash fever? was searching through teams and see it keep getting mentioned
Join /afg/ the official Ganker team
I hope the fanservice is as good as Crash Fever in this one, or at least not a total downgrade. Really getting tired of the whole "fanservice being inversely proportional to production value" trend I've been seeing the past few years
Game wont even launch on a emulator, what the hell?
Are there any pros to Kenshin over Perseus?
Kenshin sucks from what I hear
Kenshin+Perseus might be a thing later. Buff Perseus and use provoke. Kenshin is useless by her own.
How's Hercules? Worth rolling for? Reading her skills, they look boring as frick, but aren't you practically alive forever with her?
Is there a tier-list? Asking since it's kind of easy to reroll.
Who the frick plays a gacha game for the story
No one as far as I know. I was talking more about the setting. The setting and characterization is quite important for a gacha. Why would you want to play a post-apocalyptic waifu game if that setting doesn't interest you at all? Similarily, even if you are a fan of a post-apocalyptic stuff and want to play such a waifu game it still won't look fun if the waifus are insufferable due to malicious writing.
In the case of this game, what is supposed to make it stand out is the metaverse setting but it fails completely at it and the characterization fails because the the whole idea of the usable characters being AI (Except for that one girl) is part of the reason why the game fails at a metaverse setting.
the setting only matters so far as does it allow for hot fricking babes big and small?
the meta verse allows that so it's fine
I played HBR purely for the story, but I can't into moonrunes. So if it ever releases global I'll hop back in for the same reason.
Literally the most popular ones like FGO are for their story, same for GFL or Arknight, most is their events rather than main. Stop playing candy crush
Chapter 8's out; there's a new lizard enemy that casts a barrier. Nothing too bad so far
>arena season 32
Shouldn't it be like 2?
3 actually, but considering you had to rush through the story asap to unlock the arena and participate in the first season, for most players it only lasted 2-3 days
Anyway I'm not sure where those tens are coming from, it should be just 3 yeah
It's week of the year I'd say.
Downloaded it on my phone, but it keeps giving me this error before it downloads the data after i open the game. Not having any issues with the bluestacks emulator. Cant find anything about this on their discrod or web. Anyone else having this issue?
/afg/ died...
We blinked and the honeymoon was already over. But who knows, maybe once we get some clan stuff the game will warrant a general again.
Keeping niche /vg/ threads alive is a second job
Shit won't even run on Nox
use mumu
Not sure I want to play if it involved downloading more shit.
Frick it.
oh come on lmao. games not working on some emulators goes with the territory
it was working fine for me on bluestacks but I had some minor issue so I switched to mumu to fix it. it barely takes any effort
Don't use Mumu. I got black screen and lost my account from that.
permanent black screen? like you kept restarting and it never fixed itself?
Yeah. Right after I rolled Hercules too.
Is there any room in the acg team?
/afg/ has 14 spots open.
Got Archimedes in four 10x pulls, and upgraded Asclepius to 4*
Anything you would change about this team? I think I'll stop pulling for a good while
This game fricked? Looks like japan already dropped it and it's dead as frick in the west as well.
Japanese store ranks are fine
July's revenue was beyond great for a new IP, and I assume august can only be more profitable (Gura's and other chuubas sponsored streams, vacations)
But of course that's not the whole story, the more you play the more... stale and uninteresting the game feels, so the future is uncertain.
What rank were you guys for the end of 7? The owl is fricking me.
have not gotten that far yet
Chapter 7 normal? 33 I think.
It's not a bad game, but content isn't the problem right now.
the kicks aren't random, they happen if it detects even a slight hiccup in your connection
Nah. The kicks happen immediately. It's a bug. Not some kinda "I couldn't connect" or whatever issue. Connection related issues look different. The game already had those as well.
They should have taken 2-3 whole days of maintenance to fix those errors, or as much as they needed, cause ultimately this only gives the game bad PR
Is the endless even worth it? I'm starting to have no stamina for anything else.
At this point not really, unless you spend quartz (and why would you) it takes 2-3 days to clean a lineup, you're better off farming mats and hard quests
I agree. Endless has been REALLY undertuned. In general, the event rewards are pretty.. meh.
How is the situation in the DFC clan? /afg/ is almost dead.
I would call this the right time to merge.
Do you daily hard runs and call the day, if you can run the hard boss you should have enough to do 2 or 3 bosses.
Man they really cleared out the event. I'm not even sure I used everything.
A lot of games do that, better be sure to use everything on last day.
It's more common to close the trade in a few days after the event ends.
Hopefully they add the team hunt thing so the break between events isn't so big
Oh well, now my game crashes on boot. No idea what they are doing, but not like this.
Oh, that's not just me. Something must have fricked during daily reset.
Max stamina is only 100 when its peers BA/Priconne is 200 with the same stamina recovery, forcing me to login 3-4 times a day. Just pushing me to stop playing
I'd still be playing but I got black screened out like others did so my account's dead
Again.
30 and 20
good stuff
They should make underground skippable if you've cleared it. I just do easy since it takes too long.
i do it hard but ive skipped a day or two
one time i just hit auto and let my team die on super hard until the cleared the first stage
no clue why theres no skip for this shit but devs never play their own game or even test them
Did this game die? Played it for a few days at launch but sort of forgot about it?
Pretty much. I am sure the bad account system killed it. People losing accounts left and right. Genshin 3.0 is also coming out soon. ToF probably also took some players.
Why would anyone spend money on this game when everything gets deleted if your app breaks somehow.
their transfer system was a stupid idea. they should've just used the standard way every other gacha handles accounts
oh well. ToF it is
Can't recommend that.
I feel like my turns are ending much faster, and I don't recall changing anything
Did you stop using Musashi?
>The only issue is that you probably need to two attempt
That's not a little issue for sure, expecially because you are supposed to one-shot it.
I can't do much because rng has been cruel and i'm missing a lot of core units.
I don't suppose anyone has a nip guide for one-shotting it (that doesn't involve whaling)
Virus slayer is the only real idea. That and def debuff etc. If you don't have at least Musashi, it's gonna be really tough though. I tried it with a 3 star Musashi a few levels lower than
and like 10k HP was left.
Probably their trial and error was meant as rolling until you dont get what you need.
That's technically a trial and error after all.
My one-shot party for the hard boss
Almost same but i was using summer neu instead viviane, level 50 with few retries finally beat the boss
That's not a team i can roll, well then..
bwos I got really sick and I'm only now starting the event, am I going to make it in 8 days?
Still missing by a turn or having Musashi die early
And yeah, eventually it's random, or low atk ally, because my virus slayer girl had at least 3 turns extra tiles.
what upcoming banners are worth?
youre favorite element
I guess it will all be new characters so it's kind of impossible to say
>tfw I have the same amount of crystals but 10mil less gold because I haven't unlocked the final gold daily yet
God how do I get like 6 3* that aren't Andromeda.
Be happy you got those. It's easy to pull 200 times without seeing a single 3 star. (It's a 1 in 158 chance)
At least you got something, for me this game still have to throw me a bone.
>had to pity Summer Neu
>beat chapter 6 out of... currently 8, I think? And had help from the level up pack
>and THEN Summer Drommy shows up
Should I just hoard till next summer?
Wait for Halloween Poe
Faust and Goethe are qt
Ok the guild war is a terrible, how can they copy basically everything and still fail on doing it? This is a shame..
What's the issue? I'm glad they didn't go the Granblue way and force you to no life it all day.
Oops
Cursed.
Jesus Benkei defense teams are so cancer
The.. opposite.
I have no idea why I blew everything on Faust when she's not even limited.
I don't regret Faust now. She's kind of a beast with Rousseau.
Started a few days ago, game's pretty fun. Sad to see it dying.
it's built to be a low spec game but that's no longer a selling point
nothing flashy so no players
I like it and I'll probably ride out its short life
It's not really doing badly unless they have crazy high expectations for it. Less than Crash Fever though.
They screw really hard on first month with bug and error, almost lost my account because one time bind, and match 3 game certainly not everyone cup of tea, i find it fun though and will stick this game until the end and also i'm trying to keep /afg/ alive as well
Is the gacha anon team from here?
The team /afg/ is from here. There was another, but no idea how it's doing.
How the frick is the new update so broken? I can't do anything that pops up a second window, such as looking at WM or character info, or buying stuff from the Exchange. There's been a couple of data downloads since this started but so far nothing's been fixed yet and there's no mention about it in the news.
I've only been playing for a week but I had 0 game breaking issues so far. All I had is dc when trying to check pvp ranking.
I haven't had any issues with major bugs either until now. Although the issue seems to have randomly fixed itself after leaving the game running for a while on the stuck screen, so I guess it's all good now?
Someone tell the global team that they should have her listed as Hijikata instead
>underground now can save party lineup
Bless this update
Did the devs seriously think they can 6x the player base by making only 1 invite code available for beginners but you can accept 5 people?
lmao what the frick i knew i had it coming with the fricking pronouns in the beginning but they completely change some dialogue that ever mentions gender. fricking americans man
It would be pretty dumb if it didn't change to match your answer.
no, it completely REMOVES any mention of gender, not only for you. like early on andromeda specifically mentions 男 and 兄弟 when you first see her talk about her origin, but it's completely cut out in the english text
You still have him and her. I saw it multiple times.
(doesn't usually matter, but still)
>getting mad over lack of pronouns
Unironically get a life.
>shitting on my fellow Americans
If you can't appreciate how based we our, then that's your problem.
Oh, it was lack of the mention of genders. My suggestion still stands.
game is kinda fun but the gameplay mechanics is too much for my low reaction speed.
How big is the change in price? Most other games it was like a dollar difference with the changes.
I see few pack is now bit cheaper on my currency, but yeah i agree that daily quartz pass fricked up hard
It won't just to let you know
Wait, do passives get upgraded when you rank up a character? I've not noticed any changes in the few characters I've upgraded, but then again this game doesn't show you jack shit when upgrading characters so I could have just missed it.
I say summer neu is also decent unit just overshadowed by kojiro, but both of them have different uses
WYSI date
Yeah easy. Qin shi, Gilles, Lancelot, Musashi. 5 turns but I get a bit under 1m everytime.
The difference between hard and very hard is also way too big to the point you can trash hard in a turn, but not manage to do very hard at all.
>nowhere explained
lol. try not mashing sometime. it's literally the game's fundamental mechanic and they show you the formula
The mode is counting how much crash skill and panel breaking you can use, big problem is panel and skill like clock/magnet are pretty much mercy to rng too so score is also randomize on how much lucky you're with panel breaking
Neat, highest I've gotten so far.
