Holy frick at TotK.
Scarlet and Violet will surpass SwSh, insane.
Switched turned into a really good console. I sold mine too early but the first couple years were a nightmare. I hated a Zelda game for the first time, Mario really did not hook me and they brought in the paid online. It was over for me then as I as only playing Splatoon 2.
This is me expect I kept my switch, and still don’t play anything on it. Much like the 3DS everybody acts like it’s amazing, but frankly I feel the Nintendo games mostly suck.
someone color all the ports red, all the new IPs blue.
im sorry if i missed anything
The absolute state of new ips. And people think that Starfield is a failure
What happened in the Switch era to make Nintendo so afraid of new IPs? I think this is the first Nintendo system ever where the generation didn't produce one brand new IP that will actually become a regular series. What is going on, is it really just resting on laurels because Mario Kart 8 sells insanely well?
I can't imagine them not iterating on Ring Fit Adventure.
I question if that game concept has the power to make lightning strike twice
They'll add 10kg weights to attach to the Switch 2 joy-cons.
How many new IPs did they make during the Wii and Wii U era?
nintendo is in a unique position to build on established IP. nobody is gonna want starfield 2 or sequels 95% of other new IP released this gen.
BotW was a simultaneous release. Yes the WiiU was its lead platform for most of its development, but that did change and ultimately the game was a simultaneous release.
If that still counts as a port, then most of the PS4 library are ports too, since most PS4 games had the PS3 as the lead platform initially. Likewise with the PS5 that has an unironic 99%+ of its library also available on the PS4. Of which most games had the PS4 as the lead platform.
Pokken did well. Also best Xenoblade won.
Origami King really had no legs, jesus christ.
>Sticker Star sells well but is absolutely reviled by everybody with two brain cells to rub together
>Color Splash is more of the same, and so it sells horribly even by the standards of a Wii U title as a result
>They decide to make yet another Sticker Star sequel anyway with The Origami King and it predictably underperforms despite being on Nintendo's best selling platform ever
I hope Tanabe feels great shame and embarrassment when the game gets outsold by both the SMRPG and TTYD remakes.
>Bayonetta 3 beaten by Game Builder Garage
Man, her American VA really did win in the end, didn't she
What did she win? The game is selling around what is expected for the series and she's never getting a job in the industry again.
The series is never getting a fourth game, its creator doesn't work for his company anymore, people will always associate her with the character, and video game VAs are striking soon. She absolutely won.
>The series is never getting a fourth game
Kamiya hasn't directed the series since the original game, what the frick are you on about? Also, nobody cares about some moronic roastie or the amerimutt strike.
it just got a fourth game this year you absolute nonce
Inflation's a b***h ain't it?
>Splatoon 3: 10 million
>nothing since then
lol, will it surpass 2 at this point?
3 is close to outselling 2 in Japan, but it wont make up for the western decline
Side: Order is coming up next spring, wouldn't surprise me to see a sales boost from that, assuming it's even half as good as Octo Expansion was.
>mario mario mario pokemon mario zelda pokemon pokemon pokemon
How do we stop Nintendo? It's fricking unfair
>advance wars' revival flopped
>delay the game for a fricking year
>release it to little fanfare and with competition from Fire Emblem
>$60 for GBA games with a new coat of paint when Prime Remastered was $40
No shit, what were they thinking?
I don't think it had the potential to pull a million copies off even if it hadn't launched right before TotK, it didn't even release in Japan.
They could've pulled an Fire Emblem Awakening but they preferred to sell to american trannies. It looked like shit and not sure what did they think letting Shante's developer make it. It was always DOA with small fanbase.
totk already top 10
the power of zelda. omg it's so strong. Wooooh woooh ye YESS YESS ZELDA powerful. YESS YESS WOOOOH
Why are you having a meltdown?
>Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 2,700,000
>Xenoblade Chronicles 3: 1,860,000
go woke go broke
>6 years
>1 year
Are you an elementary school dropout?
XB3 has no legs, you really think its going to catch up even close to what XB2 is doing right now?
>Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – 1.53 million
https://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-million-sellers-october-2018/
It's ahead of XB2 when it was around the first year mark.
Still coping I see not even the dlc will bring it to compete with 2.
you know there is a reason why publishers avoid putting numbers on games, right? it kills sales. most people will not buy "game 3" when they haven't played "game 2" and "game" yet. but sometimes you can't avoid it. and because some people that played "game 2" and didn't like it, the sales of "game 3" will be lower.
>astral chain outsold troonynetta
why did they make that franchise so fricking repulsive
all they had to do was make 3d beat em ups
>Engage almost sold as much as Awakening in a much shorter time period
FEggots really call this a flop?
Wonders doing 20 million+ and TTYD remake will do 10 million. Screen cap this
TTYD's performance will be heavily influenced by when it releases compared to the next system and how it's marketed. If it's dropped too close to it after it's already been announced, then it risks getting overshadowed. If they heavily tout it as cross-gen/has a next-gen upgrade then it might be picked up as if it was a launch game and helped along.
>1. slop
>2. slop
>3. good
>4. slop
>5. slop
>6. slop
>7. slop
>8. sloppa
>9. slop
>10. good
glad I'm not a tendie.
Only like 6 good games here, you have to really like Mario and Pokémon to want a Switch i.e. Be 8 years old
How is Mario Kart 8 still selling THAT MANY copies?
>those xenoblade and kirby sales
Nice. Also pokemon fans are literally braindead, i dont understand how people can buy those games, holy frick
