With the "loot dead people's eqiupment" mod you can play it like an action game and skip the base building.
It's funny because areas have enemies by level and gear, so if you progress through it in a linear fashion you'll gain stuff in a linear fashion.
BG3's entire problem is that none of that shit is earned, you don't unlock it via doing things for party members and earning their trust by completing their personal quests, making tradeoffs / choices that might harm you in the short term but benefit your party member, or anything like that.
You just finish the tutorial and are immediately presented with sex (gay or straight).

It's a pretty fun game though all of the expansions are just cosmetic dlc. If anything at least the building is top notch, even unmodded.

I like breasts and ass as much as the next guy, but official nudity just feels tacky and wrong to me. Liken in BG3 it's distasteful with it to the point where it looks like I'm picking cuts of meat at a butcher shop. It's just gross and fricking weird. It's like an alien designed porn for humans but didn't really know what the bits and pieces did or why people like them.

I liked BG3 because it offered some nice casual nudity scenes. The nudity wasn't relevant for 95% of my play through but it's inclusion greatly improved the game. Oh but I did have Karlach topless the entire time.
