Heroic on MCC was harder for me than Legendary back at release for CE and 2. I figured it was because old but some anon told me it was something about the tick rate which I didn't understand because technomoronic but I think the bad guys fire faster or more or some shit.

Heroic has some annoying points I die to a lot but 2 hits? From a grunt? I almost never die to grunts, maybe lose my shield but it's always elites and those fricking shotgun flood that get me.
At the part with the elites and grunts sniping you from the top platform that you can't access right after the sniper stealth mission. My teammates just stand there and get sniped and die in seconds. You get surrounded by enemies and can't take cover anywhere because again, you're surrounded all the time. It's complete bullshit.

Yeah, I remember that part is one of those harder points, I had to go at that a lot too.
Just keep blasting and chucking nades until sword elites start showing up and then get inside the doors on the first side of the room as grunts and jackals are coming out. The door only opens one way but you can exploit this for cover once you've dealt with the enemies inside. Then just peek out the door and pick off the remaining enemies. Be careful though, sword elites can frick you up, some of them spawn from your door.
Try to conserve your sniper for important targets if you can. This should help, at least enough for you to get through.
Or if you mean the ass end of the level, I'm almost certain you can get back up there, there should be a green door you can go through, just chuck some grenades to force the elites out of the way maybe?

Yeah I don't see how you would be trapped in there, hmm. Aside from just trying and dying until you get it, kind of hard to think of what to say. Are you able to shoot the grunts with something quick and pick of the elites one at a time?
If you can't go back to some door or something, keeping your distance towards one side of the room should at least give you enough distance to shoot some enemies and get behind crates.
Tell me more if you can, what have you tried so far?
I just got through it. I ended up using the needler to kill the guys up top, then when the hunters showed up i just sniped them in the back while they were distracted by my guys. This shit took me so many tries to beat holy shit.

The old halos have a good handful of these kinds of moments and they make your ass bleed first doing em but I love the satisfaction of figuring them out.

Not that anon but what's your secondary weapon? I can say right now that the Needler is really only okay against Elites and not much more. Where your cursor is, if you can run straight ahead all the way to the end of that platform where the Covies are above you, there should be a health kit and some ammo. It's no joke to say that the magnum + plasma pistol or plasma rifle will carry you through the first half of the game, even on Legendary. If you weren't aware already, once charged plasma pistol shot will disable Elite shields, allowing you to swap to the magnum and headshot them. The plasma rifle is also busted in CE and can stun lock enemies. So it's best to make sure you always have one human weapon and one alien weapon.

just use grenades, and use the needler, it has shit tracking but infinite range and enemies don't dodge it if you are far away
