Milwaukee and Makita are both good choices. I've rarely seen any DeWalts despite how prevalent their cordless tools were in the early 2000s. Ryobi is surprisingly decent. The rest is trash, especially Kobalt.
I had a black decker vacuum once and it was absolute garbage. I cannot attest to anything else they made, but that was the worst 100 bucks I ever spent.
I remember B&D was a very good brand by their product quality. Until a couple years ago when I got one of the nuBlender/mixer and shit was heavy but broke. What happened? Is B&D still ensured quality?
Bros, which of these drills are actually good? I got duped by Craftsman and I need to buy one tomorrow to replace some screw on the bathtub knobs that are on way too tight. Craftsman one can't get the screws out.
Can't go wrong with makita or milwaukee. They are heads and shoulders above the rest and pretty comparable to each other, just pick what color you like the most.
>every brand has it's own special snowflake battery connector despite them all being 18650 cells inside
can't believe the government didn't step in to stop this fleecing
for me its ryobi cause my mom already had batteries from a ryobi vacuum cleaner
a 400 dollar vacuum cleaner that she chucked in the bin because she didnt want the hassle of remembering to recharge batteries
For me, it's Ridgid, or the forgotten brother of Milwaukee and Ryobi. Don't make my mistake, you don't get the dick-swinging torks of the reds nor the ridiculous tool variety of the greens. Great tools you DO get, but not a wide variety.

I was pretty surprised by how decent Ryobi shit is. Milwaukee is a solid choice. I like Rigid too.
>buy one brand
>it's shit
>already spend too much on batteries
>stuck with it now
fricking israelites
what about Black Decker?
I had a black decker vacuum once and it was absolute garbage. I cannot attest to anything else they made, but that was the worst 100 bucks I ever spent.
I don't know about Makita impact drivers but their drills are garbage. DeWalt is top tier.
That was true about 20 years ago
Both me and my coworker have Makita drills and the chuck always slips on any job that requires more torque than a manual screwdriver.
I was talking about your comment on DeWalt
all the hand drills at my workplace are makita. theyre kinda shit but i believe its a bang for buck thing
And what exactly has changed in the kind of jobs people use drills for in the last 20 years?
i think he means either makita got better or dewalt got worse
i definitely think dewalt got worse, but still good for me
I just wish manufacturers would stop changing battery designs so old and new shit could work together.
>DeWalts
they were our provided tools when i was in aircraft maintenance but they were still kinda shit
I remember B&D was a very good brand by their product quality. Until a couple years ago when I got one of the nuBlender/mixer and shit was heavy but broke. What happened? Is B&D still ensured quality?
They all come out of the same factory
I see what you did there.
Bauer's 1/4 impact is actually pretty good.
test
serial question here: drill or impact hammer?
if you already don't know then just get a regular drill
b-b-b-but that's for drilling holes!
yes
screwdriver+breaker bar
>guys, serious question here: salt or pepper?
you need both numbnuts
Literally fallout new Vegas.

Makitas are great.
The choice is about 70% makita 30% milwaukee and 0% all that other shit.

>impact
I just wanted you to know that at least one person appreciated your pun.
I fricking hate proprietary batteries so fricking much.
I chose Ryobi that way either no one at work will steal my shit or I'll know who the little frick is.
DeWalt is great but expensive. Ryobi is good value and gets the job done.
>DeWalt is great but expensive
This hasn't been true for nearly a decade DeWalt SUCKS now
I'd say they're still fine, but still below Milwaukee or Makita.
for me its ryobi cause my mom already had batteries from a ryobi vacuum cleaner
a 400 dollar vacuum cleaner that she chucked in the bin because she didnt want the hassle of remembering to recharge batteries
lotta tradies on Ganker
Milwaukee > Makita > B&D > who cares based on my extensive research and personal experience.
>For me? It's Milwaukee
>made in America, like the old times
only have experience with the m18 impact but that battery is impressive
AEG CHADS RISE UP
