literally the opposite of true. majora's mask through twilight princess are zelda's undisputed peak. absolute kinography.
the earlier games may have strictly more innovations in raw game mechanics, but based aonuma is the only one who bothered to put those mechanics to better use than "what if it there was a bad guy and the good guy stopped him :O"
only autists incapable of feeling emotions, passionless dopamine-consumption machines, could possibly think otherwise. I pity them

Nobody believes this and you should fricking have a nice day for having shit taste you gamecube troony.
Toru Osawa is the actual genius behind OoT that made people take Zelda very seriously. He incidentally only worked on OoT and no other Zelda games before or since.
He treats video games more like toys than experiences, which is fine I guess, but it's not what I play Zelda for. I think his hatred of Majora's Mask says a lot about him as game designer, he thinks the game's weird estoreric parts are flaws, because if something causes friction and isn't textbook capital F Fun it's automatically bad
Tears of the Kingdom is probably the most Aonuma'ass Aonuma Zelda yet, because it feels more like a digital playground you're meant to frick around in, rather than a world and adventure you get sucked in.
He's right about that. OoT wasn't a linear game. Aonuma is a hack that failed to understand that which is why he made a terrible game like Twilight ¨Princess
Don't quite like people telling me I don't actually think what I think. Nope nope don't like that nope.
Didn't play BotW, so I don't even have the issue most have of the world being the same, but I was still bored by TotK for the reasons I thought I'd be.
Wandering a bloated world aimlessly, fighting the same encounters over and over, looking for the bits of content that resemble what the older games focused on just isn't fun. The ultrahand stuff's pretty cool, but not THAT cool.
I don't get the big appeal of being able to choose which order you do stuff in when that choice doesn't particularly matter. Most meaningful choice this gives you is being able to say "frick it I'm done" and end the game whenever
>Wandering a bloated world aimlessly, fighting the same encounters over and over, looking for the bits of content that resemble what the older games focused on just isn't fun.
Sounds like you have shit taste. TotK has more unique content than any game I can think of. And every single combat encounter feels like a set-piece unique to me that nobody else will experience.
literally nothing but bangers, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom. Don't take my word for it, check Metacritic and see for yourself.
I thought that TP was fine. It has major issues but I liked the dungeons and exploring Hyrule for heart pieces after you get done with the Twilight Bugs.
true
It was a mistake to put in in control of the series. Miyamoto's biggest mistake
They were fine until Hidemaro Fujibayashi stepped in as Director.
they were even worse in the GC era. the oracle games made by fuji absolutely mog garbage like ww and tp
Awakening > Oricles

How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, Erictroony?

I wish we lived in the alternate timeline where Koizumi was put in charge of the series after MM instead of Aonuma.
OoT snoys aren't human.
Console warriors aren't human.

There's no such thing as a bad Zelda game. Even the worst Zelda is better than 99% of all games ever made.
Aonuma is a talentless hack and the sooner he fricks off, the sooner that Zelda can become good again
he's here to stay to make you nostalgiaBlack folk seethe
He's right about that. OoT wasn't a linear game. Aonuma is a hack that failed to understand that which is why he made a terrible game like Twilight ¨Princess
stop rewriting history, he didn't want to make TP and WW was as much open world as OoT

BotW and TotK are incredible games.
Truly the Avengers Endgame of video games.

Is 96 a shit score? I can't tell. There's barely any games in that realm to compare to. Just the best ones of the generation.
BotW
97 metacritic score
30 million sold on a single system
Generally considered one of the best games ever made.
TotK
96 metacritic score
22 million sold on a single system (and counting)
Generally considered one of the best games ever made.
How will Nintendo cope?
